Been a while since an update came...sorry! Hope you like?

Chapter 6

"Don't stop moving, or the darkness will overtake you!"

Xion had stayed quite throughout most of the mission after the clock incident, something Alexi was thankful for. Had Xion spoke out again, Alexi knew she wouldn't be able to stop herself from stabbing her in the face. They were upstairs now, Xion behind them as they walked down a dark hallway. It was deathly quiet, to the point where it was almost painful. Slowly, and quietly, Alexi spoke. "This seems useless...we got enough information, didn't we?"

"Yeah, I guess," Xenon murmured, nodding a bit.

They looked back at Xion, the girl staring back at them boredly. "So, can we go?"

Alexi frowned. "In a rush to see Axel?"

Xion smirked a bit. "Maybe."

"Guys," Xenon sighed. "Seriously...stop. Let's just go to the clock tower already."

Xion and Alexi looked away from each other, Alexi sighing. "Fine with me."

Xenon sighed and the three of them turned for the exit. A black mass, though, began to bubble up in front of them and Alexi frowned. "Heartless come out now? Seriously?"

"Just our luck," Xion grumbbled, rolling her eyes as her Keyblade appeared. "This couldn't have happened earlier, nooo."

"Shut it," Alexi snapped. "Just kill the damn things so we can go."

Xion, thankfully, seemed all for that idea, runnin at the mounds of Shadows popping out of the ground.

Xenon summoned her hook blades and ran too as Alexi's katana appared in her hands. The three of them charged at the mass of Shadows, blades slicing as black blood flew everywhere and splattered on them and on the floor below. It was all a blur for Alexi, a wet, blood stained blur. She kept slashing, lightning sparking out and sending several Shadows flying.

Xenon, lava burning down two Shadows, glanced towards her friend for a split second. Alexi's face was blank as she stabbed into Heartless after Heartless. Xenon wasn't sure if she should have been worried, but she didn't have the time to question it as a Shadow flew at her, claws aimed at her face. She gasped, her blades driving into the Shadow's chest as lava seeped into it. The Shadow screeched, melting into a puddle of black and orange magma on the floor. She grimaced, shaking her head and looking towards Alexi once again. "They keep coming."

"Then keep killing them," Alexi hissed.

Xion, a few feet away, laughed a bit. "Kinda harsh, don't you think?"

"Shut up and do as I say," Alexi murmured. "Or maybe you want me to tell Xemnas?"

Xion frowned, gripping her Keyblade tighter and glaring. "Don't get snippy with me...superior."

Xion attacked the shadows then, Alexi stopping for a second to wipe black blood off of her face. She frowned, looking at the liquid on her gloves and then lowering her hand. Xenon was by her side then, nudging her. "You ok?"

"Yeah," Alexi nodded quickly, gripping her katana tighter. "Keep fighting; don't stop."

Xenon frowned a bit, looking towards the Heartless. "...Or we can just cut a way through them and get to a different room, open a dark corridor and then go back to the castle."

"And leave behind Heartless?" Alexi snapped.

"These Heartless are useless," Xenon snapped back, frowning greatly. "Shadows don't even release Hearts so there's no point!"

Alexi paused and then, after what sounded like an irritated sigh, she nodded. "Fine, whatever."

Her Katana was gone after that, her already heading towards the exit across the room. Xenon frowned at that but followed, Xion hurrying after them. "I think we should open a corridor here..."

"Never open a corridor too close to Heartless," Alexi murmured quietly, heaving open a door and stepping into the main entrance hall of the castle. "They could get in and go into the castle."

Xion blinked. "...But we can handle them...there's like...over ten of us there at the castle..."

Alexi stopped, turning with an irritated frown. "...You're really an idiot...that isn't the point, Xion; nothing is supposed to get inside the castle."

"Ok, ok!" Xion muttered, rolling her eyes. "I get it...let's go, I wanna see Axel."

Alxei stopped for a second before frowning. "...Why?"

Xion shrugged. "Because he's my friend."

alexi fought down the sudden urge to hit the girl, sighing. "...Let's just open a corridor."

The corridor was open, the three of them stepping through it and arriving into the castle once more. Saix was there waiting, raising an eyebrow once he spotted them. "There you three are...you're later than I expected."

"Don't blame me," Alexi snapped, walking past the blue haired male. "Don't stick us with Xion again."

"I didn't even do anything," Xion snapped, also irritated. She looked at Saix. "You can get the details from them; I'm going to go see Axel."

"The hell you are," Alexi snapped, turning on her heel. Both girls glared, Xenon gulping slightly.

"Girls," Saix warned. "Don't start fighting..."

"Girl fight?" Axel's voice made both girls look over, the red head strolling in with Roxas in tow. Xion grinned. "Axel!"

Alexi rolled her eyes, watching as Axel made his way over to her. "Hey, Alexi. What are you-"

"I'm busy," Alexi muttered, looking away.

Axel blinked again, smile falling. "Uhm..."

"Just leave her," Xion snapped, smiling. "Roxas and I will head to the clock tower, ok?"

Axel watched Xion walk away with Roxas through a corridor. He looked back towards Xenon and Alexi. "How was your mission?"

Alexi said nothing and Xenon sighed. "...It...could have gone better..."

"Really?" Axel replied, head tilting and eyes darting to Alexi before falling on Xenon again. "Why? What happened?"

"Xion..." Xenon trailed off, shrugging.

"Xion?" Axel repeated. "What? No, Xion's cool. You guys should give her more credit."

Alexi scoffed, looking at Saix. "I'll be in my room. Send Demyx to me if you need me."

Axel watched, stunned, as Alexi all but shoved past him, Xenon hurry after her. Axel sighed, frowning as he looked at Saix. "...Why did you guys put Xion with them?"

"You know very well why," Saix murmured, face blank.

Axel grit his teeth. "Can't Xemnas just leave her alone? He did enough when-"

"You did it too, mind you," Saix hissed, cutting the red head off. "You're just as guilty as Xemnas, if not more."

"Go to Hell," Axel snapped, looking away and running a hand through his hair. "...I don't like doing this. I refuse to."

Saix raised an eyebrow. "Are you refusing orders?"

"For this, yes," Axel snapped, glaring. "I won't keep doing this, Saix!"

Saix frowned. "...Then you leave for Castle Oblivion in two days."

Axel blinked, anger fading in an instand. "Wait...!"

"You have to deal with Zexion, anyhow," Saix turned, headed for the exit. "You refuse orders? Fine. Someone else will do your job. Be ready to go when the time comes. If you refuse this, Alexi will pay."

Axel grit his teeth, stepping back and falling back against the wall. He ran a hand through his hair before growling, slamming his fist against the wall. "I hate all of this...!"

Dun dun dun. Long time no update...sorry. Shit's goin down. Xion's a bitch -.- review?
