"I'm truly sorry Mr. Jackson but he has developed Alzheimer's..." Nico's true age had caught to him. At the tender age of 20, he had started to develop memory loss issues, sometimes acting as though he were in a completely different time. At first it was only once in awhile, seldom really. It was little things at first, forgetting a name or what he was doing. But as time went on he seemed more and more lost. It got so bad that Percy had taken the boy to a doctor where he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Percy tried to convince Apollo to heal his lover but the god simply shook his head in remorse that there wasn't anything he could really do for the young man, it wasn't a curse, just his true age. Most days Percy was forgotten. Nico simply could not remember the man he was once in love with. But Percy stayed. He cared for the younger man as best as he could. He was pained to see that he was forgotten but he cherished the rare moments where Nico was lucid enough to remember him. But as time went on, those moments seemed to fade completely until one day Nico only knew him as his ever faithful caretaker.
