Maelstrom
The first time Percy had been truly upset was the first time he unleashed his powers completely. The inner conflict he felt overcame him completely. He had found Annabeth in bed with another. He had to run to the one place he felt calm, the sea. But the sea mirrored his own turmoil, creating a maelstrom. No one was stupid enough to brave the conflicting tides to try and comfort the anguished teen. They all believed that he would tire but as time passed, the whirlpool only got worse. Then Nico did the unthinkable. He went into the ocean to confront Percy. Percy sensed him and the whirlpool seemed to calm slightly. "Perce?" Percy just sobbed as Nico held him in his arms.
