Sam and Gabriel spent the drive chatting up favorite things, finding out they actually had a lot more in common then Sam would like to admit. "So..." Gabriel chuckled, "Twix or Snickers?"
"Personally, I'm a good ol' Hershey's man."
"Really?" Gabriel sat back in his seat, giving Sam a doubtful look, "I never would've taken you for one."
"What's yours then?" he smiled.
"I'm a die hard Reece's lover!"
"Reece's!?" Sam snickered.
Gabriel folded his arms over his chest, "Don't dis the peanut buttery goodness!"
The two broke out into a short fit of laughter, Sam smiling more then he had since... since he couldn't remember. Finally, the Impala pulled into the motel drive, claiming a parking space just a few doors down from their room. Gabriel jumped from the passenger seat, skipping playfully up to the door before knocking lightly. "Hey Cassie. Open up!"
However, Dean beat him to the punch. Literally.
"Ow!" Gabriel cried, cradling his newly injured jaw in his palm. "What was that for?"
"It's for being a son of a bitch that's what!" Dean barked.
"Sammy... shins?"
Dean looked to his brother, seemingly outraged. "Shins?"
"I promised him that if you started any fights I'd kick you in the shins."
Dean flinched, blinked a few times, licked his lips, then started yelling, "What the hell are you doing Sammy!?"
"I'm trying to help him!" He exclaimed in reply. "I'm to get his-"
"Gabriel traded his grace..."
Both the brothers turned to Cas who was standing behind them, staring un-phased. Gabriel rounded Sam, smiling, "Hey Cassie. Feeling better?"
"You ripped out my wing." he growled.
"You what?" Dean snapped, giving the arc angel a glare almost not humanly possible. "You ripped... his wings out?!"
Gabriel rolled his eyes, "Just the one."
"You son of a bitch!" Dean screamed, before taking Gabriel up by his collar and slamming him violently against the wall. "I'll kill you!"
Cas placed a calm hand on Dean's shoulder, sending him a 'it's not worth it' look. "Dean. I'm fine." he assured.
Dean released his grip slowly, taking a shaky breath before stepping back tensely. "You're a dick. You know that?"
"Sammy does." he grinned.
"That's it!" Dean couldn't be held back now, slamming the angel against the wall once again, fury burning in his eyes. "You kidnap my family, you screw my brother, you insult me, you humiliate me, you take me away from my baby, and now you're hurting my Cas!" he screamed.
"Your Cas?" Gabriel's grin widened.
It was sort of sadistic looking.
Dean seemed to just then understand what he said. He turned to Cas, who was wide eyed, face flushed crimson. "D-Dean?" the angel's fingers started to play with the hem of his trench coat, almost nervously. "I'm... yours?"
Sam furrowed his brow, "Dean?"
"Alright, everybody just shut up a minute. Okay? Just-"
"Deano's got the hots for Cassie." Gabriel sang, childishly.
That is, until Dean planted a few good punches on him.
