Light of Dawn

In the dark forest where not a sound was heard,in the western territory a pup was stirred from her sleep by a strange smell. She was about

move and go search for the smell,until she remembered she slept in

between he parents. She wiggled from in between her parents and ran

into the forest to go search. She ran through the forest she had a feeling that she was getting closer to what she was looking for ,then she came upon

a ball of gray fur with a dark red substance and the distraught smell.

Humphrey's POV

(Dream)

In the lush green forest Humphrey his parents and Kim were walking home with Kiba and his parents.

Humphrey,Kiba do you want to play tag , said Kim

Yeah ,said Humphrey

That would be great ,said Kiba

They started running and tagging each other silly. when they came by a hill they started rolling and tumbling down the hill ,then the sky started to fade to black as everyone disappeared .The scene before Humphrey's eyes were

horrific his parents and friends were mangled and bloodied , then a dark figure appeared.

Your next, said the dark figure

Humphrey screamed as he fell into the dark abyss.

(Reality)

When Humphrey open his eyes his vision was a bit foggy, then he turned his head and saw a dark figure. He curled into a ball out of fear he'd be killed.

Please don't kill me said, Humphrey

(giggling) I'm not going to kill you ,said Unknown

This was not the voice Humphrey was expecting he thought it would be a strong and masculine voice, but instead it was a cute ,sweet and beautiful voice.

Who are you said, Humphrey

Well my name is Kate but,Who are you

I'm Humphrey( as soon he said that he open his eyes just when sun was rising and saw the most beautiful wolf ever. The sun shined off her tan fur and her beautiful hazel eyes glistened with a beautiful radiance.)

Are you ok your bleeding a lot ,said Kate

Oh yeah I'm ok (Grumbling) well maybe just a little hungry said Humphrey

I'll go get you something from my parents den so you can eat ,said Kate

Ok, I...I'll be here when you get back he said

Kate's POV

As she was on here way back to the pack Kate started to think about the strange new pup she met

Humphrey she said as she thought about him[he's so cute with his glacier blue eyes, hmm... I wonder what else could I find out about him]

When Kate entered camp her mom came running down from the ledge

Kate where have you been, said Eve (But Kate didn't answer like she was in a trance)

Kate!

Huh what did you say mom ,said Kate

I said where were you dear, I've been so worried are you OK ,are you hurt,let me see dear. Eve said yelling frantically

Mom mom , I'm ok I was just off chasing a rabbit to see if I could catch it

But it got away ,said Kate

Oh OK , dear well you know I just want you to be safe , said Eve

Yeah mom ,I know

OK now come along dear we have to get you cleaned up for breakfast , said Eve

Okay mom, after Kate and her mom washed up they went straight to the feeding grounds her mom got her and Lilly a big juicy caribou. First,Eve walked over and ripped a whole in the caribou's flesh. Then,the two girl went right in an indescribably ate the caribou as there mother joined in after they finished there meal Kate asked if she could save some of this caribou for later in case she got hungry

Sure dear said ,Eve

Kate started to walk of into the forest her mother stop her halfway. Dear and where are you off to?

umm... Some of my friends asked to play with me today so, can I go please

Sure dear as long as your back by sunset ,Said Eve

Ok mom bye

Kate entered the forest with meat in her jaws and ran back to where she met that cute strange wolf. When she arrived she found a wolf that she didn't recognize. She look at him closer and said "who are you"

Umm... hello its me Humphrey

Ok,if your Humphrey why are you wet , said Kate

"I was dirty so I washed off" ,said Humphrey

She looked at him very closely and saw the wound he had before,then looked from the wound to his ominous glacier blue eyes that entrance her so,she felt as she had been carried away on a mysterious wind that calmed her soul.

"Kate are you all right?", said Humphrey

Huh.. oh yeah I'm all right, Kate said (as a light pink blush creeped up on her face for being distracted by his eyes although Humphrey didn't notice)

Oh yeah I...um b...brought you back some food, She said(stuttering a little)

Oh thanks because I am starrrving Kate laughed as she saw Humphrey dive into the meat eating it vigorously as though it was his first meal in weeks,After he was done eating she asked Humphrey to go on a walk and he eagerly said yes.

She started to show Humphrey around the territory making sure to stay away from crowed places and the patrol. After, a while of walking she turned around to speak to Humphrey to only find he was gone. She kept looking around, until a certain wolf pop up behind her.

Humphrey where have you been?,said Kate(in a worried tone)

I..I'm sorry I worried you Kate,but I found this cool place follow me, said Humphrey

Humphrey's Pov

I ran through the bush with Kate on my tail. We kept running until we broke through the cluster of bushes and came upon a meadow. See Kate I told you I found a cool place.

Kate look in complete aw as see saw a new part of the territory see never seen before. He and Kate ran through the field playing and having fun,after that they began to speak to one another.

"I wish I could show my parents this place,Don't you wish you could show your parents Humphrey", Kate said(ecstatically)

Yeah, I sure wish I could,He said(in a saddened tone)

Kate looked over wondering whats wrong,then she asked "Humphrey what's wrong "

"Nothing,He" said

"Please,Humphrey you can tell me anything after all were friends right", said Kate

Okay,He said finally working up the courage to speak

"My parents died murder by wild wolves, the worst thing about it is that I just watched it happened. I couldn't do anything to help I think my friends got away but I don't know. I...I just ran away like a coward.", He said(struggling to keep his emotion in check)

He then looked over to see Kate crying he went over and nuzzled her. Don't cry Kate, He said

I'll be all right He said(in a calm tone)

But what happened to you was so sad, If that happened to me I don't know what I'd do, said Kate(She said wailing like a new born)

"Kate it's ok because the one thing I know is that they will live on in my heart,They would really be ashamed of me if I even thought about doing what those wolves did as revenge of any kind",He said(in a proud tone)

He saw Kate was still crying, he felt kind of bad making her cry, so he tried to cheer her up. He walked over to Kate and nudged her and lick up her tears. He then pounced on Kate pushed him off and he ran up the hill with Kate right behind him Kate pounced on him, but to Kate's surprise he rolled over with him on top of her now. Then they heard a loud growl and out from the shadows a tan wolf popped out and slammed Humphrey against a tree.

(I can't feel my body he thought as he blacked out)
