Skater Girls And Playboys

Chapter Eleven

Pp1147: Sorry for the late update! I've been really busy...

*Cough*

Kankuro: Pp1147 doesn't own Naruto.

Wednesday.

Ino had always despised Wednesdays. They were right in the middle of the week, which meant Friday was still very far away.

She groaned as she slammed her head on her desk, startling the sleeping body next to her. "Ow..."

'Hey, watch it lady! Don't bruise my beautiful forehead!'

'Whatever.'

Shikamaru glanced at Ino from his side of the table. He turned his attention back to Kurenai, who had just put one of the students under her genjutsu.

He watched in interest as the boy clutched his head of black hair and let out a terrified scream. He dropped down on his knees and continued to scream, his blue eyes wide.

The class watched nervously as Kurenai grinned like a maniac. She averted her eyes from the student and looked straight at Shikamaru.

He invoulantarily shivered. 'Scary.'

She cleared her throat as she released the genjutsu. "Right," she watched as the boy grabbed his things and ran out of the room, "would anyone else like to try?"

They all shook their heads furiously.

"Very well then. You're all dismissed." She said, her red eyes gleaming.

They wasted no time and ran out of the classroom, leaving behind a cloud of dust.

Kurenai scoffed, "Wimps."

"Did you see the way she took down that kid?!" Naruto said, gesturing wildly with his hands. "That was so cool! Can't wait till I learn that!"

"Yeah yeah, whatever. So anyway," Sasuke started more seriously, "what are we gonna do about them and the dance?"

Neji scoffed, "Easy. Get her jealous. I'll just take a fangirl."

They all raised an eyebrow, "Really?"

He nodded confidently, a smug smile plastered on his face. "Really."

"Well I'm gonna ask her out!" Naruto exclaimed confidently.

"Again?" Sasuke and Neji dead-panned.

Naruto pouted. "Yes, again! But this time, I have a plan! That's right! I, Naruto Uzumaki, have a plan! Bow down before your ma- OW!"

Sasuke cleared his throat, lightly rubbing his fist. "Shikamaru?"

"What a drag. Gonna keep askin' her out till she says yes." Shikamaru explained in a voice that was pretty much dead.

"Sure that'll work?" Sasuke asked in disbelief.

Shikamaru snorted. "Who's the guy with an IQ of over two hundred? That's right, me. She's got a short temper; she'll snap soon."

Sasuke grumbled. He was pretty sure Shikamaru had cheated on that IQ test. He just hadn't figured out how yet.

"What about you, Sasuke-teme?" Naruto questioned.

He smirked. "Same as Neji."

"Really? Is that really the smartest thing to do? Shikamaru?" Naruto asked, scratching the back head.

The brown-eyed boy shrugged. "I dunno know. I've never met girls like them. It's like they're...immune to guys like us."

"They are different, that's for sure," Sasuke said, a smirk adorning his pale face. They silently entered the room where fourth period was being held. Today they were going to actually use weapons, instead of just reading about them.

They stood with the rest of the class in a line, all facing the tan man.

"Alright," Asuma sighed. "I'm going to be giving you all a variety of weapons. Your goal is to hit a bulls-eye with every weapon I give to you. That clear? Good," he continued, not even waiting for a response, "you each have a board in front of you. There will be seven rounds. I will hand you your weapon, and you are not to throw it until I say go."

He pulled out a small, red scroll. He opened it and layed it on the floor. They all watched in interest as he summoned twenty projectiles. He picked one up.

"A basic kunai," he stated, handing one to each student, not caring if they had brought their own. "Can't get much simpler then this."

He watched as they all got into different positions. 'This should be interesti-'

"Why are we doing this!" Naruto complained. "We already know how to throw a kunai!"

Asuma sighed, "Just watch. You won't be saying the same thing later. Go!"

They all threw their weapons with deadly accuracy, all hitting the mark.

"Good," Asuma said dully as he summoned the weapons back into the scroll. He pulled out another scroll of the same size, except it was green. He repeated his actions from before, and picked up one of the needles.

"Senbon. Silent. Deadly." He handed one to each ninja. "Go!" He watched in amusement as some of them tried to throw it like a dart. He looked at the boards. They all hit the mark. He raised an eyebrow.

"Okay," he summoned the deadly needles back into the scroll. He pulled out a scroll that was black in color.

He summoned the weapons with a bored look on his face. He picked one of the star-shaped projectiles. "Shuriken," he stated simply, putting one into the palm of each student's hand. "Go!"

He watched as they all hit the mark. Again.

"HA! See! We don't need to do this!" Naruto claimed, puffing out his chest.

Asuma smirked as he summoned back the ninja stars. "Alright Naruto. If you think this is so easy, let's see you get a bulls-eye with this!" He exclaimed as he unraveled a large white scroll and summoned the multiple weapons.

Naruto gaped at the shiny katana his sensei has holding up. "How am I supposed to hit a bulls-eye with that thing?!"

Asuma shrugged, "You tell me." He handed one to each student, grinning the entire time.

They all stared at them in confusion. Naruto stared at his reflection on the gleaming blade. He grinned, "Lookin' good!"

Sasuke stared at the deadly weapon. "You've got to be kidding me..."

"I know. Do you know how much energy it's gonna take to throw this thing?" Shikamaru groaned.

Neji stared at the katana blankly. "Hn...?"

"GO!"

They all snapped out of it and tried to hit the bulls-eye. Key word- tried.

Asuma tried to stifle his laughter as he watched half of the katanas fall to the ground a couple feet away from the students with the clatter. Those who had managed to hit the board only hit the first ring.

He looked at the two boards that had the katana fairly close to the center. 'The Uchiha and Hyug- What's this?'

He stared at the board at the very end of the line in amazement. The katana hed pierced right through the cener of the board. He glanced at the brown-haired kunoichi before summoning the katanas back.

"That was terrible," he stated truthfully. The students glared at him. "But don't worry, this should be much easier." He summoned the next twenty projectiles out of a purple medium-sized scroll. He handed each of them one of the daggers, watching them stare at its curved blade in interest.

"GO!"

He nodded in satisfaction as we watched most of them hit their mark.

"Good." He summoned the daggers back before taking out a yellow medium-sized scroll. He summoned the weapons, picking one of the many pairs up.

"A bow and arrow?" Naruto questioned.

"Yes, "Asuma nodded, handing them each a bow and arrow.

They all pulled back their bows, waiting for the word.

"GO!"

Asuma ducked as a stray arrow flew over his head. "The he-"

"Whoops! Sorry Asuma-sensei!"

He looked at the blonde kunoichi all the way at the other end of the row. "Teens..."

He summoned them all back, itching to summon the last weapons. "Alright," he started, trying to hold in his excitement, "this is the final round."

The students gaped as he dragged a humongous blue scroll from the corner of the room. He wiped the sweat off his brow before unraveling the scroll. He quickly summoned the giant weapons before picking one up. He grinned at their stupified expressions. "A scythe."

"How the frick are we even supposed to throw that?!"

Asuma shrugged and scratched the back of his head. "I don't know. Figure it out." He handed each of them one of the wicked looking weapons.

"GO!"

They all attempted to fling the weapon at their individual boards, only to fail miserably. Not even Sasuke and Neji had hit the board.

Asuma opened his mouth to finally let his laughter out, but stopped when he noticed that one of the boards had been pierced right in the center.

Everyone turned their attention to the brunette who was jumping up and down happily. She cupped her hands around her mouth and screamed, "TAKE THAT HYUGA! YOU TOO, UCHIHA! HA!"

Sasuke felt his eye twitch furiously. Neji's eye did the same.

Asuma, not being able to believe what had just happened, rushed over to inspect the board. He peered at where the blade had imbedded itself into the board.

"It's perfect!" He muttered to himself. Now that he thought about it, she had gotten a bulls-eye all the times before, too. What was her name again? Lenlen? No, that wasn't it. Renren? No, that wasn't it either.

"Hurry up Tenten! Anko's not here today and they couldn't get someone to sub, so he have a free period!"

"I'm coming, Ino!"

Asuma turned around to see the brown-haired kunoichi walk over to the blonde kunoichi that had shot an arrow at his head.

'Note to self: her name's Tenten; Ino gets an F for the day.'

"This is the perfect time to practice!" Ino said as she and Tenten regrouped with the others.

Sakura nodded, "We just need to figure out where."

"Hmm..."

"Uh..."

"Umm..."

"I know!" Akira said, walking down the hall. "Let's go to Anko's room."

"Good idea!" Tenten said as she followed the younger girl.

"Ye-"

"Ino!"

Ino groaned as she turned around to face Shikamaru. The girls stared at her curiously.

"You guys go on ahead," Ino said with a wave of her hand. They nodded and continued walking.

She looked at him and huffed. "What?"

"Go to the dance with me."

"No."

"Yes."

"No!"

"How 'bout a date then?"

"Um, no."

"Please?"

"NO."

"How 'bout this? If you go on a date with me-"

"NO."

"-and you hate it-"

"I probably would."

"-then I'll stop asking you to go to the dance."

"N-" Ino thought about it for a moment. She could go on the date with him and just say she hated it. But what if she enjoyed it?

"But if you enjoy it-"

"Oh."

"-you have to go to the dance wih me."

She shrugged. Why not? Besides, he was getting annoying. Plus, he was actually kinda hot.

'I KNEW IT!'

'Shut up.'

She rolled her eyes and attempted to look uninterested. "Whatever."

He grinned, "Great. I'll pick you up tomorrow at six. See ya."

She watched him walk away and sighed. Great. Just great.

"Wonder what they're talkin' about," Tenten said as they continued to walk towards Anko's room.

They all shrugged in reponse. "Who knows."

"HINATA-CHAN!"

They all groaned as Naruto came over to them, a stupid grin attached to his face.

"What?" Hinata asked, annoyance seeping through her voice.

"Go to the dance with me!"

"No."

"We'll see you there!"

Hinata turned around to see Sakura, Tenten, and Akira running down the hall.

"Traitors!"

"So will you?"

"No."

"Aw, come on! Please!"

"NO."

"Well then how 'bout a date?"

"No thanks."

"PWEEAASE?"

"Ugh, no!"

"If you hate it, I won't ask you to the dance anymore! I'll leave you alone!"

She raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

"Really!" Naruto confirmed, looking at her hopefully.

"Hmm..." She thought about it. She probably would hate it...

"Okay."

"YAY! I'll pick you up tomorrow at six!" Naruto called as he sped down the hall.

'What did I just agree to?'

'Um, a date with a totally hot boy, duh!
