Sorry it has taken me so long! I have gotten busy with school, and caught up in the Sherlock and Hunger Games fandom... Hehe. I know its totally off topic, but i just gotta say.. CATCHING FIRE IS AWESOME! And I have been helping my mom decorate the house for Christmas. Thank you all for your support, and continued reading of my story. Part 2 will be up hopefully by next week, but defiantly sometime before Christmas. Just so you all know, from the 22 to the 29 i won't be writing hardly at all though, because my brother and sister-in- law are coming home, and we hardly get to see him because he lives in Cali.

Anyway, here you go! And chapter ideas are always welcome, as long as they go well with the story ).

Chapter 8- The Wands part 1

Merlin looked at Gwaine, "the wand... Your dream was right, its missing!" Gwaine ran his hands through his hair, "this is not good," he said,

starting to pace. Merlin nodded in agreement, "i know." he thought for a moment, and his eyes brightened, "maybe Kilgharah will know something about this." he said. Gwaine looked up, "your right!" he exclaimed.

"We'll sneak out tonight." Merlin said, his eyes turning gold as he started to pick up using his magic.

Gwaine nodded, "I'll be ready."

That night, Merlin met Gwaine near the gates. They snuck out easily, "that was too easy." Merlin said, with a shake of his head.

"Er, i may i made us invisible.." Gwaine said with a slight grin. Merlin glanced over at him,

"good job." he rewarded, proud of his brother. He was a fast learner in magic. Some of the spells he learned without Merlin teaching him.

A few minutes later, they made it to the clearing, both breathing heavily from running most of the way. When they got there, Gwaine nudged Merlin. "your turn to call him." he said with a grin. Rolling his eyes, Merlin did. Maybe 15-20 minutes later, Kilgharah was in sight. He landed with a thud. The giant creature sighed,

"yes, young warlocks?" Merlin looked up at the great Dragon, "er, our wands are kind of... gone..." he said, wincing when the Dragon growled and glared at him. Kilgharah lowered his head, "do you know what this means? Those wands play a very important part in the future! You put Albion in grave danger!" Gwaine took a step foreward, "uh, actually, someone stole them." they both turned their gaze to the Knight,

"what do you mean, 'someone stole them?' " Merlin asked, taking a step towards him.

"Someone stole them. Someone with magic." he replied.

"And how do you know for sure?" the Great Dragon asked.

"I could feel a bit of dark magic." Gwaine said after a bit of hesitation.

"How come I never felt anything?"

"Because, Merlin, your brother is more sensitive to magic- especially dark magic- then you are." Kilgharah said.

Merlin ran his hands through his raven hair. "well isn't this just wonderful!" he said sarcastically. Gwaine looked up at Kilgharah,

ignoring his brother.

"Do you have any idea who stole our wands?" Kilgharah shook his head, "i do not, Sir Gwaine. This was not planned to happen in legends. Not any of them. I am afraid i cannot help you much more." he said with a sigh.

As he reared up on his hind legs, to take off, he added. "unless, of course, you need someone to save you again." then, with a twinkle in his

large yellow eyes, he flew off, heading back to Ealdor. Merlin looked at Gwaine,

"off to the unicorns." he said with a sigh.

When they got to the stables, they heard the unicorns quietly talking. As soon as they sensed the warlocks presence they stopped,

and turned to face them.

"The wands have been stolen, haven't they?" Forbes asked. Merlin nodded,

"yeah. Any ideas?"

"yes, find them." Osvaldo offered. Gwaine crossed his arms over his chest,

"obviously. I'm not stupid." the unicorn looked up at him, and opened his mouth to respond. But Merlin cut him off.

"How do we find them?" the unicorns sighed at the same time. "well, who would want them?" Forbes asked, trying to be patient.

"Er, Morgana?" Merlin questioned. Another sigh.

"No, Morgana is weakened, remember? Morgause is behind this." he explained. "Well, any prophecies?" Gwaine asked, hoping beyond hope there was. Forbes glared,

"I'm sure the Dragon already explained that." he said, irritated. Gwaine glared, and opened his mouth to reply, but Merlins hand on his shoulder stopped him.

"Thank you." Merlin said, turning around.

"remember. You need the wands, or Albion might be lost." Osvaldo called after them.

Gwaine looked back and nodded, before hurrying after his brother.

The next day, they explained to Gauis the problem they were in.

"You two need to go after those wands. If the Great Dragon, and unicorns say their important, then they are. And even if they didn't play a

important part in the future, they hold great power" he said. Gwaine nodded,

"alright." he turned to Merlin, "tonight?"

Merlin nodded, "tonight." he agreed.

That day at training, Arthur announced that they were to be given a week off.

"Yes Merlin, that includes you." he said at Merlins questioning glance. At this, his mouth dropped open, and was about to ask if he could go see his mother again, when Arthur interrupted him.

"Yes Merlin. You can go see Hunith." he said, then walked off. Merlin found Gwaine, "lets pack." he said with a grin.

that night the two brothers snuck off, this time with Merlins staff. Before too long, they were galloping away on the unicorns.

Neither of them had any idea where to go. Because whoever stole them teleported, Gwaine couldn't follow traces of dark magic. And its not like they left clues as to where they would be. A idea suddenly struck Gwaine,

"Osvaldo, do you think you could use unicorn magic to try and find out where Morgause and Morgana are hiding?"

There was a hesitation,

"maybe. I'll try." a light appeared on the tip of his horn, and he closed his eyes in concentration. About five minutes later, he opened them again, and the light faded. "I came to some kind of a fortress. I'm not sure if it is a castle, a village, a cave. It could be a tree.

There is a barrier around it, and its strong. As well as dark." Osvaldo said with a shudder, slowing down to a canter to try and catch his breath. Merlin looked over at him, "do you think one of the other unicorns might be able to? Because it could just be one of the stronger,

darker Druid camps on Morgana's side, and I don't want to waste time."

"the unicorn leaders might be able to, if they combined their magic." Forbes said, lifting his head up a little higher. Osvaldo nodded in agreement, and the unicorns stopped and touched their horns together, again closing their eyes. There was no light this time,

but Gwaine could feel the magic coming off of them. It took only about two and a half minutes this time. "they agreed. We will let you known when they contact us again." Forbes said as they started trotting briskly down the rode. "but it might take awhile.

Theres no telling how strong it is until they try, and even then whoever put it up might sense them trying and push against it." Osvaldo added. Merlin sighed, and ran his fingers through his raven hair.

"How far away was the castle?"

"about four days travel."

Gwaine groaned, "we don't have four days!" Fobes scowled, and was about to say something, but thought better of it.

Suddenly their horns started glowing again, and they stopped.

"They say that it is Morgana and Morgause." Osvaldo said, shaking his head a little.

"and that their hideout is... A cave somewhere to the North, about half a days ride. Apparently you can't miss it." Forbes added. Merlin looked up at the sky, "lets make camp. It'll be dark soon." he said dismounting.

Gwaine nodded, "we'll start looking for the cave early." he said.

The brothers started making the camp site, while the unicorns used their magic to collect wood.

"I hope we find the wands." Gwaine said a few minutes later as they watched the fire.

Merlin leaned back and nodded, folding his hands in front of him.

"When Kilgharah said that Albion rest's on my shoulders, he wasn't kidding." he said with a nervous chuckle.

A small smile formed on Gwaines lips, and he nudged his brother.

"Our shoulders." he corrected.

"Yeah, i suppose it is. I gotta say, its nice to have a little help. Arthur is a danger magnet,

and it's reassuring to know that you'll be able to help." Gwaine raised his eye brows,

"Arthur is a danger magnet? Who keeps getting kidnapped, and beaten up?" he said, glancing up at Merlin. Merlin chuckled, and halfheartedly smacked him on the side of his.

"You can shut up now." Gwaine laughed, and rubbed where Merlin hit him.

"That hurt, you know."

"That was the point." they grinned at each other, some of the tension draining out of the atmosphere. The brothers fell into another lapse of

silence, until...

"Emrys." they heads jerked up.

"hmm. Didn't know any Druids were this close to Camelot."

"Emrys" the call came again, but closer. Merlin and Gwaine stood,

"Show yourself!" Merlin called out loudly, voice demanding. Seconds later, three Druids stepped out of the forest, and approached them.

"Emrys." they said, bowing. Their eyes rested on Gwaine, and it took a few seconds for them to recognize him.

"We didn't expect to meet you so soon, Faunus." one of the others said, looking mildly surprised.

Gwaine glanced at his brother, and from the on his face he didn't expect this either.

"Uh, my name is Gwaine, actually."

"You have been known as Faunus since before you were born. It has been prophesied that you will be the one to help Emrys restore magic to Albion, and protect the Once and Future King."

Gwaine didn't say anything, just stared at them, eyes wide with surprise. He hadn't seen that coming.

"Why are you here?" Merlin questioned them. They turned their attention back to him.

"We have heard you are looking for your wands. We have come to help."

"Do you know where Morgana and her sister are?" Gwaine asked, having recovered from the little surprise.

"Yes. In a cave not far from where we live. They came and destroyed our village when we refused to join them,

and so we are temporarily staying there." Gwaine winced in sympathy. Merlin laid a hand on his shoulder, a unspoken comfort, and nodded.

"We leave tomorrow morning, early."

"The three of us have agreed to stay here, and guard the camp. If it's alright with the two of you." the quieter one said, speaking for the first time since they arrived. Gwaine shrugged,

"Fine with me." he said. He just wanted to go to bed now. All of the nights events had worm him out, and the battle at Ealdor and lack of sleep had caught up with him. Merlin nodded,

"Go ahead. Wake us if something happens." he said, before moving over by the fire and laying down,

Gwaine eagerly doing the same on the other side as the Druids took their positions in the shadows of the trees, making a triangle around the camp, the unicorns already sleeping soundly.

Okay, so there was Chapter 8. What did you all think? And a special thank you to godess bubbles for the name ideas, I love them! Their
