Chapter 23: Sozin's Comet Part 2

Inside the tavern, the humans watch as June kicks an empty chair and sit down, drinking her tea, when Sokka suddenly realized something about her.

"Hey, I remember her," he said to Zuko. "She helped you attack us!"

"Yup...back in the good old days..." Zuko responded as they advanced to June.

"Oh great, it's Prince Pouty," she remarked in an uninterested tone. "Where's your creepy grandpa?"

"He's my uncle, and he's not here," Zuko answered. June then looked up to Katara and Zuko, smirking at them.

"I see you worked things out with your girlfriend," she remarked. Zuko and Katara reacted by widening their eyes in shock while Mai narrowed her eyes at them.

"Mind explaining that to me Zuko?" she sneered.

"I-it's not what it looks like!" Zuko defended. Before Mai could respond, June interupted her.

"Hey, hey, sheesh, I was only teasing," she said, which got Mai to calm down a bit. "So what do you want?"

"I need your help finding the Avatar," Zuko answered.

"Hmph...doesn't sound too fun," June replied before taking another drink from her tea. Suddenly, the doorway of the tavern practically exploded as Ultra Magnus walked up to June, clearly pissed. Even June was slightly shocked by this.

"Does the end of this world as you know it sound more like 'fun' to you!?" he shouted, glaring down at the bounty hunter.

Back outside, Appa and June's shirshu, 'Nyla,' stared and growled aggressively at each other, before Appa suddenly licked her face, and they quiet down. Then they noticed footsteps and turned to see June and the others, including the other Autobots, walked toward them. June then got out a piece of meat for her shirshu.

"Nylaaa..." she called before she threw the piece of meat and Nyla caught it, swallowing it with one gulp. June then walked up to Nyla and affectionately strokes her.

"Who's my little mmmmm, snuffly wuffly," she cooed, much to the confusement of the Autobots watching, before Nyla suddenly shot out her tongue. "Whoa! Careful there." June then pressed down on Nyla's nose to close her mouth.

"Okay, so who's got something with the Avatar's scent on it?" June asked, cutting right to the chase. Katara then got onto Appa's saddle and got out Aang's staff.

"I have Aang's staff," she answered. June then got it and held the staff in front of Nyla's mole-like snout before she started sniffing it. Then Nyla proceeded to walk around, sniffing in the air.

"What's she doing?" Springer asked.

"She's trying to get the Avatar's scent," June answered. "If he's anywhere in the world, Nyla'll pick it up." After a while of sniffing, Nyla then lowered herself to the ground, groaning and rubbing her snout with her paws. This clearly puzzled everyone except June.

"Well, what does that mean?" Zuko asked.

"Means you're friend's gone," June answered while petting her shirshu's head.

"Uh, thank you Miss Obvious, that's why we're trying to find him," Warpath remarked.

"No, I mean he's GONE gone," June corrected, much to the shock of the others. "He doesn't exist."

*QUE TRANSFORMERS PRIME OPENING THEME*

Back at the mysterious forest, Aang and Momo looked around, trying to figure out just where in the world they were.

"Where are we Momo?" Aang asked as Momo flew around. "Maybe I'm in the Spirit World. But wait, you can see me. We could both be in the Spirit World." To test his theory, he got into a bending position and bended a huge gust of air, debunking his theory.

"Nope, my bending works," he stated as Momo jumped onto Aang's shoulder. "Maybe if we climb to the top of the island, we could figure out where we are."

Meanwhile, the Gaang and the Autobots were both fearful and confused at what June had just said.

"What do you mean he doesn't exist?" Ironhide asked. "Is he dead?"

"Nope, we could find him if he were dead," June before she started to walk back to Nyla. "Ah, it's a real head scratcher. See ya." With that, she started to board Nyla and prepared to depart.

"Helpful, real helpful," Toph sarcastically remarked when an idea had formed in Zuko's head.

"Wait," he said before June could leave. "There's one other person in the world who could help us face the Fire Lord. I'll be back with a sample."

What he came back with was an old sandal that belonged to his uncle Iroh. Even the Autobots were slightly disgusted at its condition and its smell.

"You saved your uncle's sweaty sandal?" Sokka asked.

"I think it's kind of sweet," Toph said, being the only person who wasn't disgusted with it. Then Nyla suddenly went up and sniffed the sandal, picking up Iroh's scent.

"Let's do this," June said as she pulled on Nyla's reins, causing her to run into the forrest.

"Is Ty-Lee secured inside you Sunstreaker?" Ultra Magnus asked the Autobot twin.

"Yes sir," Sunstreaker responded, still in his vehicle mode.

"Then transform and roll out!" Ultra Magnus commanded as he and the other Autobots transformed and followed Nyla while the humans boarded Appa and followed them.

Over the coarse of a day, they had reached the destroyed outer wall of Ba Sing Se. While Nyla was scratching the rubble, the Autobots and the humans caught up with her, surprised at their destination.

"(We're going to Ba Sing Se?)" Bumblebee asked.

"Your uncle's somewhere beyond the wall," June said as Nyla stopped scratching the rubble and turned away. "Nyla's getting twitchy so he can't be too far. Good luck." With that, June pulled on Nyla's reins and they departed from the city.

"It's been a long day," Ultra Magnus said. "Let's camp out here and start our search again at dawn."

While that was going on, Aang, still perplexed as to where he was, searched around the forest for any clues, then comes across a hexagon shaped flower motif. Curious, he decides to walk up to it with Momo beside him.

"It's a hexagon...it doesn't seem like normal rock," Aang stated. He then decided to try and earthbend it to try and find out what it was made of, but surprisingly, it doesn't budge.

"It's not made of earth!" Aang said before noticing something glowing in the center of it. He looked down to find a glowing, almost futuristic looking dagger like object.

"And what's this?" he asked himself as he picked it up. "This is so strange. I wish I had some help right now. I wish I had Roku...I DO have Roku!" After realizing that, he then sat down and started to meditate. Soon, a blue cloud of smoke came from him and formed into Avatar Roku across him.

"You're right Aang," he stated. "All the past Avatars, all their experience and wisdom, is available to you if you look deep inside yourself."

"So, where am I Roku?" Aang asked as he looked around the forest. "What is this place?"

"I...do not know Aang," Roku truthfully answered with a puzzled look on his face before noticing the worried look on Aang's face. "But I see that you are lost in more ways than one right now."

"I am," Aang responded. "I need to figure out what to do once I face the Fire Lord."

Meanwhile, with the Gaang and the Autobots, the humans were all sleeping peacefully while the Autobots stood guard. Suddenly, Toph awakened, sensing something, before earthbending her tent away as a ring of fire circled the group, waking the other humans and catching the Autobots off guard.

"OhNo, ohNo, ohNo! ThisIsIt, ThisIsIt, ThisIsIt!" Blurr shouted before they looked up, expecting their lives to end then and there, until they saw who the intruders were. Master Piando, along with three other masters, Jeong Jeong, Pakku, and Bumi, all wearing white and blue uniforms, along with Sideswipe and the Kyoshi Warriors.

"Well, look who's here!" Bumi said as he snorted and laughed as Katara ans Sokka looked up and smiled at the masters before noticing Sideswipe and the warriors along with the rest of the group.

"You're alive!" Suki said to her fellow warriors.

"Bro! You made it!" Sunstreaker said to Sideswipe, releived that his twin was okay.

"How did you guys make it here?" Sokka asked.

"Well, we ran into some friends while we were on the run," the Kyoshi Warrior known as Min answered. Right on que, seven more figures came up to them, and the group couldn't believe their eyes.

"Optimus..." Ultra Magnus said. Sure enough, Optimus Prime himself came forward with Wheeljack, Bulkhead, Breakaway, Cliffjumper, Ratchet and Grimlock behind him.

"It has been quite some time my friends," Optimus stated with a small smile on his face.

Back with Aang, his conversation with Roku continued.

"Everyone expects me to take the Fire Lord's life, but I just don't know if I can do that," Aang admitted.

"In my life, I tried to be disciplines and show restraint, but it backfired when Fire Lord Sozin took advantage of my restraint and my mercy," Roku began, remembering his time in this world and when Roku started the war. "If I had been more decisive and acted sooner, I could have stopped Sozin and stop the war before it started. I offer you this wisdom Aang: You must be decisive." With that, Roku disappeared, leaving a shocked Aang behind.

While that was going on, Toph, while happy that Optimus and the Kyoshi Warriors were okay, was trying to figure out why Bumi and the other masters were there as well.

"What's going on?" she asked the others. "We're surrounded by old people."

"Not just any old people," Katara said as she walked towards the masters. "These are great masters and friends of ours." She then walked up to Pakku and bowed in respect. "Paku."

"It is respectful to bow to and old master," Pakku stated as he bowed in return, then opened his arms. "But how about a hug for your new grandfather." Upon hearing that, both Katara and Sokka were equally dumbfounded and happy with what he just said.

"That's so exciting!" Katara said as she ran up to hug her new grandfather. "You and Gran Gran must be so happy to have found each other again!"

"I made her a new bethoral necklace and everything," Pakku added before Sokka comically ran up to hug him.

"Welcome to the family Gramp Gramp!" he said before Pakku, not enthused with his new neckname, pushed Sokka off of him.

"You can still just call me Pakku," he responded.

"How about...Grand-Pakku!" Sokka suggested with a goofy smile on his face. Upon hearing that, Arcee couldn't help but slap her hand onto her forehead and groan. Then Katara showed Zuko to Jeong Jeong.

"And this was Aang's first firebending teacher," Katara stated.

"Jeong Jeong," he said as he bowed to Zuko. Meanwhile, Sokka went up to his old swordsmaster and bowed to him.

"Master Piandao," he said.

"Hello Sokka," Piando responded, bowing in return.

"Wait, how do you all know each other?" Smokescreen asked.

"All old people know each other, don't you know that?" Bumi asked before snorting and laughing. Optimus then came forward to try and explain everything.

"They are a part of an ancient society," he explained. "One that transcends the divisions of the four nations."

"The Order of the White Lotus," Zuko said once he realized what this group was.

"That's the one!" Bumi replied.

"The White Lotus has always been about philosophy, and beauty, and truth," Jeong Jeong continued. "About a month ago, a call went out that we were needed for something important."

"It came from a Grand Lotus, your uncle, Iroh, of the Fire Nation" Pakku said to Zuko.

"That's who we came here to look for," Arcee responded.

"Then we'll take you too him," Piando said.

"Also, there's someone who could probably use your medical expertise Ratchet," Sunstreaker added while carrying a sleeping Ty-Lee.

"Then we shall head back to the campsite at once," Optimus declared.

"Wait!" Bumi suddenly said. "Someone's missing from your group...Someone very important..." He then walked up to Sokka, almost pressing his face against him.

"Where's Momo?" he asked.

"...He's gone...and so is Aang," Sokka answered, clearly not expecting that, before Bumi took a step back, causing Sokka to lose his balance and fall to the ground.

"Oh well, as long as they have each other I'm sure we have nothing to worry about," Bumi responded. "Let's go!" With that, he earthbended a tall column to propel himself over the wall, laughing maniacally while doing so.

Back with Aang, he had decided to ask for advice for other incarnations of the Avatar, starting with Kyoshi.

"Avatar Kyoshi, I need your wisdom," he said before another blue wisp of smoke formed Avatar Kyoshi in front of him.

"In my day, Chin the Conqueror threatened to throw the world out of balance," she began. "I stopped him, and the world entered a great era of peace.

"But you didn't really kill Chin, technically he fell to his own doom because he was too stubborn to get out of the way," Aang stated.

"Personally I don't really see the difference," Kyoshi replied. "But I assure you, I would have done whatever it took to stop Chin. I offer you this wisdom Aang. Only justice will bring peace." And with that, Kyoshi disappeared, leaving Aang slightly annoyed.

"I knew I shouldn't have asked Kyoshi," he admitted.

As the group and the White Lotus were walking through Ba Sing Se, the group took this time to ask a few questions.

"How did you guys escape Blitzwing?" Mai asked Sideswipe.

"We barely did," Sideswipe answered. "We were cornered by the Decepti-Creep and thought the end was coming to us until-"

Sideswipe and the Kyoshi Warriors were cornered up to a cliff, weapons drawn, with Blitzwing slowly aproaching them, ready to end them then and there.

"Time to die!" he declared. Suddenly, he could hear Cybertronian weapons charging behind him. He turned to see Optimus, Ratchet, Bulkhead, Wheeljack, Cliffjumper and Breakaway there behind him. Blitzwing's expression quickly turned from annoyed to scared like a little girl.

"Oh frag..." was all he could say before he ran away to dodge the laser fire, transformed and flew off.

"If Optimus was just a microsecond late, Blitzwing would have killed us," Sideswipe continued. "After that we ventured on, trying to find anyone that could help us, when we came across the big guy." Obviously referring to Grimlock, the Dinobot leader decided to continue the story.

"I had made it to the Earth Kingdom, when dozens of Vehicons came in and surrounded me," he dryly said.

Grimlock growled at the Vehicons that surrounded him, getting his sword ready. He wasn't confident that he'd be able to take them all out, but if he was going to go out, he was going to do it trashing Decepticons. The Vehicons prepared to attack when laser fire suddenly came in and seven fell dead. Grimlock turned to see Optimus and his squad running in, firing at the Vehicons. He then took this time to attack the distracted Vehicons.

"I owe Optimus one for saving my hide, but I'm only agreeing to do this because I want my rematch against Shockwave, understood Prime?" Grimlock finished.

"Understood Grimlock," Optimus replied.

"So you want to snuff Shockwave too?" Mai asked.

"Yeah..." Grimlock answered. "He must pay for what he did to me and my team."

"He also needs to pay for what he did to my uncle, along with Azula," Mai added. Then the humans turned their attention on Bumi.

"So Bumi, how did you end up escaping your imprisionment in Omashu?" Sokka asked.

"Escape?" Bumi responded. "I didn't escape, everybody else escaped! There I was, back in Omashu, waiting for JUST the right moment. I didn't know what or when, but I'd know when I knew it."

In Omashu (or New Ozai), Bumi was currently trapped inside a metal coffin, hanging front of a statue of Ozai, when he noticed something. The Moon was slowly starting to eclipse the Sun.

"An eclipse!" he stated. "That'll do it!" With that, he took a deep breath and earthbended from a structure towards the coffin to break it open, freeing himself. When he dropped back to the ground, a platoon of firebenders came up to him.

"What do you think you're doing?" one of the soldiers asked before attempting to firebend at him. Of course, since the eclipse was kicking in, nothing happened.

"Taking back my city!" Bumi answered with an almost psychotic grin. "You've got no fire power!"

"Wanna bet old man?" came a voice from behind him. Bumi then turned to see Thundercracker, Skywarp and a squad of Vehicons behind him, weapons drawn. Rather than seem intimidated, Bumi just grinned and earthbended a column to leap himself over them before earthbending more debris at them, decapitating the Vehicons. Upon seeing their troops get wasted in just ten seconds flay, the two seekers just looked at each other and ran away.

"It's payback time!" Bumi said before using riding a small earth wave to pass the soldiers and propelled himself into the city. Then with just one stomp, he earthbended a tall column into metal pipes that connected into a building before moving the column to move the building away. Soldiers and Vehicons ran for their lives as the building started to slide into other buildings, then Bumi used his earthbending to send more and more buildings flying. The soldiers and Vehicons made it to the bridge of the city, wanting to escape the chaos that was ensuing, but then Bumi set his attention on the statue of Ozai, perched at the top of Omashu, before earthbending large columns (which sent four soldiers and four Vehicons flying) and launched them at the statue's eyes, nostrils and mouth, somewhat creating a smiley face. Bumi then held his breath and started to earthbend from the ground below the statue before the statue fell and was sent sliding to the bridge, where a few unlucky Vehicons met their doom. Bumi looked upon the sight before laughing maniacally and bit off a piece of green crystal.

"Whoa...you took back an entire city all by yourself in the span of five minutes?" Springer asked, gawking in disbelief.

"So what about you guys?" Bumi asked. "Did you do anything interesting in the day of the eclipse?" Sokka and Zuko reacted by simply looking at each other before responding.

"Nah," Zuko answered.

"No, not really," Sokka added.

Back with Aang, after talking to Kyoshi, he held his hands on his head, thinking deeply.

"I need to look deep inside myself," he said before resuming meditating, before the image of the Water Tribe Avatar, 'Kuruk,' appeared in front of him.

"I am Avatar Kuruk," he began. "When I was young, I was always a 'go with the flow' kind of Avatar. People seemed to work out their own problems, and there was peace and good times in the world, but then, I lost the woman I loved to Koh, the face stealer. It was my fault. If I had been more attentive and more active, I could have saved her. Aang, you must actively shape your own destiny, and the destiny of the world." With that, Kuruk disappeared, once again, leaving Aang in disbelief and despair.

Meanwhile, the group had made it to the White Lotus campsite. Bumi then earthbended the wall so they could get inside.

"Well, here we are. Welcome to old people camp," he said in a slightly joking manner. Zuko then looked around to try and find his uncle.

"Where...where is he?" he asked.

"Your uncle's in there, Prince Zuko," Piando answered while pointing to a large tent at the end of the campsite. Nervous, Zuko slowly started to walk there before stopping just a few inches away and sat down. Noticing this, Mai walked to her lover to try and figure out what was wrong.

"Are you okay Zuko?" she asked.

"No, I'm not okay," Zuko answered while turning his head away. "My uncle hates me. I know it. He loved me and supported me in every way he could and I still turned against him. How can I even face him?"

"Zuko, are you sorry for what you did?" Mai asked while kneeling down to his level and placing a hand on his cheek.

"More sorry than anything in my entire life," Zuko answered.

"Then he'll forgive you," Mai responded. "I know it." With that, Mai gave Zuko a kiss on the cheek and walked off. Taking her words in, Zuko then got up and got the strength to walk inside, ready to finally see his uncle again.

"Uncle..." he started before noticing that Iroh was sound asleep, snoring loudly while doing so. Smiling slightly, Zuko decided to let him sleep and sit down, waiting for him to awaken.

While that was going on, Aang was baffled at the advice that the past Avatars were giving him, thinking of what to do now.

"All these past Avatars, they keep telling me I'm gonna have to do it," he said. "They don't get it." Then Momo came in and chirped something to him. Afterward, Aang had an idea form in his head.

"You're right, maybe an air nomad Avatar would understand where I'm coming from," he replied to Momo, who just looked upon Aang with a puzzled look. "I know you can't really talk. Pretending you can just helps me think." He then started to resume meditation when Momo suddenly chirped something, much to Aang's annoyance.

"I'm going to pretend I didn't pretend to hear that," he replied. With that, he meditated one last time, and the form of the air nomad Avatar, 'Yangchen,' appeared in front of him.

"I am Avatar Yangchen, young airbender," she said.

"Avatar Yangchen, the monks always taught me that all life is sacred, even the life of the tiniest spider-fly caught in its own web," Aang explained.

"Yes, all life is sacred," Yangchen responded.

"I know, I'm even a vegetarian," Aang added, optimistic since someone finally shares his views. "I've always tried to solve my problems by being quick or clever and I've only had to use violence for necessary defense and I've certainly never used it to take a life."

"Avatar Aang, I know that you're a gentle spirit, and the monks have taught you well, but this isn't about you, this is about the world." Yangchen replied, much to Aang's dismay that now a fellow air nomad was telling him to end Ozai's life.

"But the monks taught me that I had to detatch myself from the world so my spirit could be free," Aang argued.

"Many great and wise air nomads have detached themselves and achieved spiritual enlightenment, but the Avatar can never do it because your sole duty is TO the World. Here's my wisdom for you: Selfless duty calls you to sacrifice your own spiritual needs, and do whatever it takes, to protect the world." With that, Yangchan vanished, and Aang dropped his head to the ground while Momo crawled up to him.

"I guess I don't have a choice Momo," Aang said in defeat. "I have to kill the Fire Lord..."

The next morning, Iroh finally woke up, yawning and stretching, before he noticed Zuko sitting there. Rather than facing him, he turned his head, not saying anything. Trying to fight back tears, Zuko finally speaks to him.

"Uncle, I know you must have mixed feelings about seeing me, but I want you to know, I am so, so sorry Uncle," he began before he couldn't control himself, and tears start falling from his eyes. "I am so sorry and ashamed of what I did. I don't know how I can ever make it up to you, but I'll-" his speech was cut short when Iroh suddenly came in and hugged his nephew, tears in his own eyes, much to Zuko's shock.

"How can you forgive me so easily?" he asked, still crying. "I thought you would be furious with me."

"I was never angry with you," Iroh corrected. "I was sad because I was afraid you lost your way."

"I did loose my way," Zuko responded.

"But you found it again," Iroh added. "And you did it by yourself, and I am so happy you found your way here."

"It wasn't that hard Uncle," Zuko replied. "You have a pretty strong scent."

Meanwhile, Aang had awakened from a nap and yawned slightly when he noticed something fairly strange.

"Wait, is it just me or are those mountains getting bigger?" Aang asked. Sure enough, it did appear as though a mountain range in the horizon was indeed growing. Wanting an answer for this, Aang airbended himself up to the top of the island's tallest trees with Momo beside him, when he turned around and saw currents from the back of the island. This could only mean one thing.

"They're not getting larger, they're getting closer!" he stated before jumping back down to the hexagon and picking up the dagger he found. "The whole island is moving!" With that, he jumped into the water to try and get a look at the bottom of this mysterious island while Momo sat on a branch and watched. Underwater, it was then that Aang noticed a giant, feline-like paw paddling towards him. Frightened, Aang immediately swam out of the way before swimming back to the surface, where Momo was waiting for him.

"It's amazing Momo!" Aang said. "The biggest animal in the world! I've got to swim around and find its face." After saying that, Aang immediately started swiming again to try and make it to the front of this mysterious creature.

Back at the White Lotus campsite, Ty-Lee finally awakened to find Ratchet standing there, observing her legs. Frightened, she tried to scurry away, only for a jolt of pain to come to her legs.

"Nya-ah-ah-ah!" Ratchet exclaimed. "You are in no shape to move those yet!"

"S-sorry, I just got scared when I saw you," Ty-Lee responded. "W-who are you?"

"My name is Ratchet, Autobot field medic," Ratchet answered. Then Katara came up to her.

"Sunstreaker was concerned with your condition," Katara explained. "So he decided to bring you to Ratchet for further treatment."

"Unfortunately with such limited supplies and the fact that you are a human, the best I can do is have you walking by the end of the day," Ratchet explained.

"Well I don't care what you say, you all need me to help out," Ty-Lee replied as she tried to get up, much to Katara and Ratchet's dismay.

"Did you not hear what I just said!?" Ratchet asked. "You are not even in a position to walk, let alone fight!"

"But I want to help in anyway I can!" Ty-Lee answered before Katara came up and placed a hand on Ty-Lee's shoulder.

"I know your heart's in the right place Ty-Lee, but we're concerned that if you get out there you'll get killed," Katara explained. "For now, let's just try and focus on your recovery, okay?" Despite her wishes, she knew that there was no way out of this. She would just have to hope for the best for the others.

"O-okay...good luck Katara," Ty-Lee responded, smiling up to the waterbender who smiled back. Then they heard a crashing sound and turned to see Bulkhead accidentally knocking some supplies over as he tried to enter the tent.

"Oops..." was all he could say.

"Bulkhead I needed that!" Ratchet exclaimed before Katara went up to the Wrecker.

"What is it Bulkhead?" she asked.

"We're ready to discuss our plan for the comet," he answered. Katara simply nodded once and left the tent with him.

While that was going on, Sokka was waiting for Suki outside of another tent, when Suki came in, this time wearing her Kyoshi Warrior attire.

"Gotta say, I missed the face paint," Sokka said with a smile as he went up to kiss Suki. Then Wheeljack and the other warriors came up to her.

"What is it?" Suki asked.

"Wheeljack has something that can help us fight the Decepticons," Min answered. With that, Min handed her a much more metal version of her fans as well as a wrist band with a blinking light.

"I've taken the liberty to update your fans," Wheeljack explained. "Now they're sharper and harder than ever, now able to rip through Cybertronian metal. Also, I've made it to where it can act like a boomerang. Once you throw it, the wrist band will use magnetic pulls to have it come back to you when you wish for it to." Suki observed the weapon with interest before throwing it at a barrel, slicing it in half, then used the wrist band to have it come back to her.

"I like it," Suki said with a smile. "Thanks Wheeljack."

"Anytime Suki," Wheeljack replied before receiving a transmission. "Optimus and the White Lotus are ready to discuss our plan. Let's go."

With that, most the Autobots met up with Optimus while the humans and their Autobot companions, Warpath, Ironhide and Bumblebee, met up with Iroh to discuss what they were going to do once the comet arrives.

"Uncle, you're one of the only people other than the Avatar who can possibly defeat the Father Lord," Zuko stated while he and the others were eating bowls of rice for breakfast.

"You mean the 'Fire' Lord," Toph corrected.

"That's what I said," Zuko responded in an annoyed tone before turning his head back to Iroh. "We need you to come with us."

"No, Zuko," Iroh answered as he lowered his chopsticks. "It won't turn out well."

"You can beat him, and we'll all be there to help," Zuo argued.

"Even if I did defeat Ozai, and I don't know that I could, it will be the wrong way to end the war," Iroh responded. "History would only see it as just more senseless violence. A brother killing a brother to grab power. The only way for this war to end peacefully is for the Avatar to defeat the Fire Lord."

"And then...then would you come and take your rightful place on the throne?" Zuko asked.

"No..." Iroh answered. "Someone new must take the throne. An idealist with a pure heart and unquestionable honor. It has to be YOU Prince Zuko."

"Unquestionable honor?" Zuko asked, looking upon his uncle in shock with what he just said.

"Yes, you have," Iroh admitted. "You struggled, you suffered, but you have always followed YOUR own path, you restored your OWN honor, and only you can restore the Fire Nation." Taking his words into thought, Zuko had come to a conclusion.

"I'll try Uncle," he replied.

"But what if Aang doesn't come back?" Mai asked.

"Sozin's Comet is arriving, and our destinies are upon us," Iroh answered. "Aang will face the Fire Lord. When I was a boy, I had a vision that I would take Ba Sing Se. Only now do I see, that my destiny is to take it BACK from the Fire Nation, so the Earth Kingdom can be free again."

"That's why you gathered the members of the White Lotus," Ironhide realized.

"Yes," Iroh answered before turning back to Zuko. "Zuko, you must return to the Fire Nation so that when the Fire Lord falls, you can assume the throne and restore peace and order, but Azula will be there, waiting for you."

"We can take Azula," Mai responded.

"Not alone," Iroh explained. " You'll need help."

"You're right," Zuko replied before turning to a certain waterbender and Autobot scout. "Katara, Bumblebee, how would you two like to help us put Azula in her place?"

"It would be our pleasure," Katara answered with a smile while Bumblebee nodded once. Then, Grimlock suddenly came up to them.

"I'm going too," he dryly said to them. "I know Shockwave, and if I'm right, that coward is still in the Fire Nation."

"What about us?" Toph asked, wanting to know what she and Ironhide could do.

"What do you think your destiny is?" Iroh asked.

"I think that...for now we should do everything we can to stop the airship fleet from burning down the Earth Kingdom," Ironhide answered.

"And the rest of us should do what we can to slow down Trypticon and the rest of the invasion force," Sokka added.

"And that means when Aang does face the Fire Lord, we'll be right there if he needs us!" Toph added. It was then that Optimus came up to them.

"Then it is decided," he said. "Ironhide and Breakaway will assist Toph in taking out the airship fleet. The Wreckers, Springer, Bulkhead and Wheeljack will assist Iroh and the rest of the White Lotus in taking back Ba Sing Se. The other Autobots shall assist Sokka and the others in slowing down the invasion force."

"(But what about you Optimus?)" Bumblebee asked.

"My fight is with Megatron Bumblebee," Optimus answered.

With that, everyone got ready to depart. Ironhide, Breakaway and Toph prepared to depart for the fleet, Grimlock, Bumblebee, Katara, Zuko and Mai prepared to head for the Fire Nation, the humans on Appa, Ultra Magnus, Arcee, Blurr, Cliffjumper, Smokescreen, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Warpath, Sokka, Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors prepped to depart to the shores of Ba Sing Se, and Optimus, Bulkhead, Springer and Wheeljack stayed with the White Lotus. It was then that Bulkhead noticed Wheeljack get two swords out.

"Haven't seen you use those things in a while Jackie," he remarked.

"Well there hasn't been a time when I needed them in quite some time Bulk," Wheeljack replied. Before departing, Zuko had one last question to ask his uncle.

"So, if I'm going to be Fire Lord after the war is over, what are you going to do?" he asked.

"After I re-conquer Ba Sing Se, I'm going to re-conquer my tea shop and I'm going to play Pai Sho everyday!" Iroh answered in a cheerful manner. With that, it was time.

"Goodbye General Iroh," Katara said.

"Goodbye everyone," Iroh responded. Then Optimus came up to say one last thing.

"Our destinies are upon us, and at the end of this day, one shall stand, one shall fall," he said. And with that, everyone departed for the fight of their lives.

Meanwhile, the mysterious creature was close to the mountains, and Aang was still swimming around it, trying to get a good look at its face, with Momo flying behind him. Then Aang went underwater to try and figure out where he was, unaware of a giant eye opening behind him. Once he noticed, he was surprised to find the creature's paw lifting him up to the surface. Once above water, Aang could finally see the creature's face, confirming its species.

"A lion-turtle..." Aang stated before bowing before the creature. Maybe you can help me. Everyone, even my own past lives, are expecting me to end someone's life, but I don't know if I can do it."

"The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost," the lion-turtle began, speaking in a deep voice. "The true heart can touch the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginningless time, darkness thrives the void, but always yields to purifying the light." With that, the lion-turtle's claws gently touch Aang's forehead and chest and a green light illuminated them.

Moments later, the lion-turtle swam up to a cliffside and brought Aang to it, with Momo flying up to Aang.

"Wait for him, he will come," it advised. It was then that Aang remembered the dagger that he was carrying.

"Wait!" he said before the lion-turtle swam away. "What is this?"

"The one you call 'Optimus Prime' will know what to do with it," the lion-turtle answered before slowly swimming away from the mountains.

Later that night, back with the invasion force, Ozai, still in his Nemesis Prime armor, looked upon the ocean, the comet only seconds away.

"It's time for this world to end in fire, and for a new world to be born from the ashes," he declared.

Outside the Earth's atmosphere, Sozin's Comet, glowing dark purple with dark energon, brushed against the atmosphere, slowly turning the atmosphere dark purple.

Back with the fleet, the Decepticons could feel the effects immediately.

"Yesss, I can feel it," Galvatron stated. "The blood of Unicron coursing through my veins!"

Over where Trypticon was stationed, upon feeling the effects, Sixshot activated a console on his wrist.

"Let the symphony of destruction commence," he declared before pressing a button, activating the titan Decepticon, his eyes glowing dark purple. Upon being activated, Trypticon roared into the sky.

Meanwhile, Aang simply watched as the skys turned a dark purple, knowing what was going to happen. Every moment, every action, every word, has lead him and his friends for this.

And there was no turning back now.
