Chapter 25: Sozin's Comet Part 4
The comet continued to ravage the night sky, and Aang's fight with Nemesis Prime was not looking optimistic. He was still inside the stone sphere, which continued to protect him from fire blasts from Nemesis Prime's laser cannons.
"Come on out Avatar!" he shouted as Aang struggled to hold it together. "You can't hide in there forever!"
Back at the airship fleet, the zeppelins were scattered all across the sky as Ironhide and Toph ran across one of the ships before stopping at the rudder.
"Toph, metabend the rudder so it's in a jammed position," Ironhide requested. "If my calculations are correct, then the ship will spiral and slam into the others."
"Got it," Toph replied. She then walked up to the rudder, spitting in both hands before slamming her hand into the rudder, pulling the sheets of metal back, causing the ship to suddenly turn and slam into another airship before continuing on its path of destruction.
"It's working!" Ironhide declared. "Have I ever told you how great it was that you invented metalbending?"
"You could stand to mention it more," Toph answered as the airship slammed into another airship, but then the hatch opened and a firebender and a Vehicon came out, aiming at the duo who ran away upon seeing them. The firebender then unleashed a huge blast of fire, but Ironhide reacted quickly, using his liquin nitrogen hose to freeze the fire and the firebender. The Vehicon, obviously not caring about a human life, smashed the firebender into pieces with one swing of his hand and got his blaster in his hand, aiming at Toph, but Ironhide jumped in the way before the Vehicon fired, hitting his leg and blasting it to pieces on impact before grabbing Toph as he fell off the airship. The two of them fell to an extension beam of the ship. Toph would have fallen to her doom, for she fell through the u-shapped portion, but Ironhide, despite the pain that was coursing through him and the energon that was leaking from where his leg use to be, held onto her hand with all of his strength.
"Ahh! My leg!" he shouted before more Vehicons came in and aimed at Ironhide, prepping to finish him off. Ironhide then looks down at Toph with a somber look in his optics.
"Looks like we're done for Toph," he said as Toph starts tearing up, fearing this was the end. "We had a good run kiddo." The Vehicons prepared to fire, only for them to be shot down by an incoming blue and gold jet before transforming and landing in front of Ironhide. Ironhide could barely look up, shocked to see his and Toph's savior.
"Dreadwing!?" he almost shouted as Dreadwing picked up the wounded Autobot, who was still holding onto Toph.
"Hang on!" Dreadwing commanded as he activated his built in jet pack and levitated towards the ground before the airship collided with another. Upon landing, Ironhide obviously wanted answers.
"Why?" he asked while Toph metalbended a large sheet of metal around Ironhide's wound. "Why did you of all Decepticons save us?"
"Though I have declared neutrality, I owe your kind one after Magnus showed me the truth Autobot," Dreadwing answered before hearing swords clashing, looking up to see Galvatron and Optimus duking it out in the skies. "Now if you'll excuse me, I wish to exact my revenge on Megatron." With that, he got out his sword, activated his jet pack and flew off.
*QUE TRANSFORMERS PRIME OPENING THEME*
While that was going on, Galvatron and Optimus' brawl was slowly turning to Galvatron's favor, as he punched Optimus in the head and sent him flying to a pillar of rock. He then rocketed upward and prepared to end it all. However, Optimus reacted in time, kicking the warlord away from him, before getting his blasters out. He then started to fire at Galvatron, but he was easily able to deflect every single laser blast with his dark energon sword. Optimus then got out his own sword and charged at Galvatron, but not only was Galvatron able to block the attack, Optimus' sword shattered into a million pieces. Taking advantage of this, Galvatron grabbed Optimus by his neck and tossed him against a mountain before running up to him and bashing his face against the mountain wall repeatedly. Then ge conjured up his dark energon sword again.
"I will not allow it to end like this Galvatron!" Optimus declared as he tried to get up, only for the war lord to hold him down with his foot.
"Fighting to the very end as always Optimus," Galvatron stated. "Admirable, but mistaken." With that, he raised his energon sword up in the air as lightning struck behind him, preparing to finally kill Optimus Prime, but at the last second, he heard something.
"MEGATROOOOOOON!" the voice shouted. Galvatron then turned around to see Dreadwing flying to him, his sword in his hand, before grabing him and sending him up to the sky. Dreadwing then leg go of Galvatron and got out his gattling gun, firing the Decepticon leader, sending him plummeting to the ground. Dreadwing then landed in front of where Galvatron landed as the war lord got up and glared at Dreadwing.
"Dreadwing..." he growled as Optimus got up and stood next to Dreadwing.
"I realize that nothing will convince you to join the Autobots Dreadwing," Optimus began.
"But for now, the enemy of my enemy is my friend," Dreadwing finished for him before the two of them charged at Galvatron, resuming the clash.
Meanwhile, Nemesis Prime continued to send a birage of fire blasts at Aang, still protected by the stone sphere, but it and Aang's strength was clearly weakening as the stone flew back to a stone pillar with one fire blast. The Fire Lord then went up and sent a torrent of flames at the sphere, causing it to start to crumble, before stopping after a few seconds and getting out both of his blasters, charging them up, and unleashing a blast of their maximum power, shattering the rock. Aang was able to deflect the fire with a shield of air, but he wasn't able to prevent himself from being sent to the pillar. Then a jutted edge of rock came in contact with his scar. Aang's eyes widened, feeling something as rocks started to crumble on top of him. Nemesis Prime looked upon the sight before walking towards the pile of rocks in front of him.
"Come on out little boy," he said as he bent forward to the pile, his swords extended. "You're about to be-" Then the unthinkable happened. An explosion of air came from the rocks, sending Nemesis Prime flying backwards. The explosion then revealed himself to be Aang...in the Avatar state. His seventh chakra was unlocked, and now he was levitating in the air. He looked down and glared at Nemesis Prime before roaring upward, huge blasts of fire coming from his mouth and both of his hands before encircling the air sphere that he was inside. He then destroyed an entire pillar, sending the tiny stones up to him, encircling inside the air sphere, before Aang bended a stream of water inside the sphere as well, encircling him too. Nemesis Prime then got up and looked upon the sight while Aang's glowing white eyes glared down to him.
"At last...a challenge," he said to himself before jumping on the stone pillar below the Avatar, climbing at a fast pace, leaping upward to him while Aang flew downward to him. The two of them collided in a massive explosion that sent Nemesis Prime flying. Aang then flew towards his body, but once he landed on a stone pillar, he couldn't see him. Then Nemesis Prime bursted from a stone pillar, carrying a long stone rod, preparing to smash Aang with it, but Aang quickly firebended it in half, causing the Fire Lord to miss, only for Nemesis Prime to hit him with what he had. Then Aang launched himself at Ozai, sending him to the air, continuing their fight there.
Back at Ba Sing Se, Bulkhead and Wheeljack were busy taking out Vehicons left and right, Bulkhead smashing them with his wrecking ball and Wheeljack slashing them to pieces with his sword, when Wheeljack noticed a jet Vehicon trying to get the drop on Bulkhead. Wheeljack reacted by leaping onto Bulkhead's shoulders and leaping upward, impaling both of his swords at the Vehicon, causing it to explode immediately. Bulkhead smirked at his former partner once he landed back at the ground.
"Just like old times eh Jackie?" he asked.
"Yup, like old times," Wheeljack answered, smirking back before turning his attention back to the Vehicons.
Meanwhile, Springer was cornered by a platoon of Vehicons, when Bumi came in, using his earthbending to decapitate a Vehicon.
"Need a hand?" he asked before laughing and snorting like usual.
"Why not?" Springer answered. "I got better things to do tonight then die!" Bumi then earthbended pillars bellow the Vehicons in front of him before Springer shot them all down with his blaster. He then got out his sword and jabbed one Vehicon in the spark before tossing its corpse at another Vehicon. Bumi meanwhile took care of some tanks that surrounded him, sending chunks of rocks at the opening so they couldn't fire at him before earthbending the ground bellow them, sending them all flying and landing on top of each other. The firebenders inside got out of the tanks, groaning in pain, while Bumi laughed like a maniac and leaped towards the Earth Kingdom palace.
Inside the palace, Knock Out was busy buffing himself, humming while doing so, only to hear something crumble, causing him to drop the buffer and look around in confusion.
"What is going ON out there!?" he said before walking out of the room. "How am I suppose to concentrate when you-AHH!" He couldn't finish before barely dodged a huge chunk of earth that was thrown at him. Seeing that the culprit was Bumi, Knock Out smirked and got out his staff, thinking this was going to be easy.
Outside the palace, more Vehicons were running to battle when they heard an explosion and saw Knock Out flying away from the palace, screaming, before landing on a Vehicon, covered with dents and scratches.
"Governor Knock Out, do you re-" one of the Vehicons asked before getting punched away by Knock Out as he got up.
"To the Pit with all of you, I'm joining with the Autobots!" Knock Out declared before walking away angrily. "No use being with the Cons if all it's worth is getting dented and scratch every nanosecond!"
Meanwhile, Iroh stood outside the palace, staring at the Fire Nation flag that draped over the Earth Kingdom symbol before sending a blast of fire from his fingertips, burning the flag, revealing the Earth Kingdom symbol. Iroh then smiled as the ashes of the flag blew away. Ba Sing Se was finally free again.
However, the same couldn't be said back at the shores. The Decepticons and the firebenders were practically swarming at the Autobots and the warriors. Even Blurr was struggling to keep up.
"WeGotFirebedersComingFromTheSea, InsecticonsAtTheAir, DecepticonsOnTheLand, IfWeShootThemOutOfTheSeaThenThey'reStillOnTheLand,
IfWeShootThemAtTheLandThenThey'reStillInTheAir, SoWhereDoesThatLeadUs, NoWhere! That'sWhere!" he said as he kept shooting down as much Decepticons as he could. Then everyone started to hear rumbling footsteps, as they looked up to see Trypticon almost to them, opening his mouth and generating purple fire. The Decepticons and firebenders immediately ran away from the line of fire while the Autobots and the warriors looked up. Warpath then came up and stot a blast at Trypticon from his chest cannon, but it didn't even phase the mammoth Decepticon.
"That didn't even make a dingin dent!" he remarked.
"How are we suppose to stop that thing!?" Smokescreen asked.
"I don't know..." Ultra Magnus solumly responded. Sokka then looked over to Suki, tears in their eyes.
"It looks like this is the end Suki," Sokka said before they embraced each other in a hug, awaiting the worst, when something massive in the sky caught their eye. They looked up to see Metroplex falling straight towards Trypticon, tackling him to the ground while the Autobots and humans looked upon this in shock before hearing something from behind them.
"Autobots, attack!" Hot Rod shouted as he, the Aerialbots, the Protectobots and the Technobots ran into battle while Metroplex punched Trypticon in the head.
Back at the Fire Nation, Bumblebee still had not emerged from stasis. Katara immediately ran up to try and assist her friend, only for Azula to shoot a bolt of lightning in between her and Bumblebee, laughing maniacally as she's sent flying backwards and knocked unconscious. Mai, seeing this, ran up to Azula, only for her to leap upwards and onto the roof, shooting a blast of fire toward her, sending her back to another pillar, knocking her unconscious too. Azula then leapt down and walked to Katara, conjuring more lightning.
"Prepare to join your scout filthy peasant!" she shouted at Katara's almost lifeless body, but then...
"AZULA!" a voice shouted. Azula then turned around and saw the last Autobot she expected: Bumblebee, seething with rage towards the princess. Not only had he survived the blast of lightning, but most shocking of all, he was talking.
"Get away from her you glitch!" he said before getting his blasters out. Shaking the shock from her, Azula glared back at the scout and sent a fire blast toward him, to which he easily dodged by jumping sideways while shooting at Azula in mid-air. Azula dodged the blasts by jetting away from the line of fire, propelling herself towards Bumblebee, who transformed and drove backwards, while shooting at her from the cannons on his hood. Azula then blasted a bolt of lightning at him, to which he transformed again and leaped behind her, aiming his cannons at her again, before Azula got the drop on him and fired at a pillar, which dropped onto the scout.
"Ugh!" he shouted as the pillar fell onto him, crippling him. Azula then walked up to him, conjuring more lightning, when Katara suddenly regained consciousness. Seeing the sight, she grabbed a chain and ran up to Azula, freezing both her and the princess in a block of ice using the water inside the drains that were below them, seconds before Azula could fire a bolt of lightning at Bumblebee's spark. Her eyes widened in shock, Azula couldn't even turn around to see Katara exhale, melting the ice inside them, chaining Azula's hands together and wrapping the chains around the drain before melting the ice. Both girls gasping for breath, Katara tightened the chains to ensure that Azula could not break herself free, annoying the princess. Katara then turned her attention to Bumblebee, who moved the pillar off of him to see his friend still alive.
"Katara," he said. Upon hearing his voice for the first time, Katara gasped in shock and placed a hand on her mouth.
"Bumblebee, your voice!" she said with a smile on her face.
"My voice, what are yo-" Bumblebee started, confused with what she meant before he realized his voice was back. He then retracted his small faceplate, revealing his mouth, which was gaping open in shock.
"My voice!" he said before looking down to Katara with a big smile. "Katara, I have my pipes back!"
"Azula's lightning must have reactivated your vocal processors," Katara stated, trying to comprehend how this could happen while Azula just looked at them, exhaling uncontrollably. Then they heard something, and turned to see Zuko awakening, groaning in pain. The duo then ran up to Zuko, thankful that he was okay, but then their reunion was cut short, when they heard Azula breaking free of her chains, seething with rage at the three of them as they readied themselves.
"My soul...that, is what you, have taken, FROM ME!" she shouted before jetting forward to them, conjuring lightning at the same time, before stopping suddenly, her eyes widening in pain and shock. Once the smoke cleared, the trio could see Mai behind Azula with Mai's katana jabbed from her back to her chest. Azula looked down, seeing the blood gushing from her as she started to weaken from the blood loss.
"Azula...you will never harm anyone, or anything, ever again," Mai declared as Azula's eyes closed and she fell to the ground, dead. Zuko looked down at his deceased sister, fighting tears while Mai ran up to hug her lover, tears in her eyes as well. Katara and Bumblebee just looked at the two of them. Though feeling sorry for Zuko, they knew that this could not have ended any other way.
Meanwhile, Grimlock tackled Predaking to the ground before Predaking kicked him off of him, clashing his sword with the Dinobot's sword while he was on the ground.
"Primative beast..." Predaking declared. "You've got nothing. Beg for mercy. SCREAM MY NAME!"
"N-ne-NEVER!" Grimlock shouted before punching Predaking off of him and transforming into his t-rex mode while Predaking recovered and transformed into his dragon mode. Grimlock then charged at him, only for Predaking to send a blast of fire from his mouth. Thankfully, Grimlock leaped upward and landed behind Predaking. The Predacon then tried to swipe him with his tail, but Grimlock caught it with his teeth and ripped it off. Predaking roared in pain before grabbing Grimlock with his claws and flying upward before tossing him to the ground. Predaking then landed on top of him and pined him down, ready to slash him with his claws, only for Grimlock to blash him with fire coming from his mouth, causing Predaking to get off of him and Grimlock to swipe him to the wall with his tail. Grimlock then charged toward Predaking, only for him to turn into his robot mode and for him to grab him and throw him through the wall. Grimlock then transformed into his robot mode and tried to get up, only for Predaking to stomp on him, pinning him to the ground, raising his sword upward, ready to finish him. Grimlock then noticed his sword next to him on the ground and reached for it.
"Time to die Dinobot!" Predaking declared, but then, Grimlock grabbed his sword and set it on fire.
"No one...controls, GRIMLOOOOCK!" he yelled before using his sword to slice the Predacon on half. Predaking could only widen his optics before dying instantly. Both halves of him then fell to the ground and exploded before Grimlock got up and roared upward in victory.
Shockwave, meanwhile, was still inside the palace, activating a ground bridge, seeing that retreating was the only logical option after hearing reports of Metroplex clashing against Trypticon, when he heard a massive explosion behind him, and turned to see Grimlock charging at him in his t-rex mode. For once in his life, the scientist was intimidated and baffled that Grimlock has defeated Predaking.
"No...it defies all logic!" Shockwave exclaimed as Grimlock ran in and chompped his giant razor sharp teeth at Shockwave's cannon arm before ripping it off. The Decepticon cyclops screamed in pain, leaking energon, before running through the ground bridge. Grimlock tried to follow him, but the portal closed before he could get to Shockwave. The Dinobot leader then transformed and roared upward in fury.
"SHOCKWAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE!" he yelled.
Back at the shores, with the arrival of Hot Rod, Metroplex and the Autobot combinders, the battle was slowly starting to tip into the Autobots' favor, that is until Cyclonus turned to the Decepticon combinders.
"Combinders, merge!" he ordered. Without warning, the Constructicons, the Combaticons and the Terrorcons merged into Devastator, Bruticus and Abominus. Sokka and the Kyoshi Warriors got into a defense position until the Technobot leader, 'Scattershot,' walked in.
"Leave this to us humans," he said before motioning to the Autobot combinders. "Let's go kick their cans!"
"Aerialbots, merge into Superion!" Silverbolt commanded to his fellow Aerialbots.
"Protectobots, merge into Defensor!" the Protectobot leader 'Hot Shot' said.
"Technobots, merge and form Computron!" Scattershot commanded. With that, the three teams of Autobots merged into the combinders known as 'Superion,' 'Defensor,' and 'Computron,' before charging towards the Decepticon combinders. Superion tackled Devastator to the ground and pummeled his face before the titan Constructicon kicked him off of him and got his blaster ready to render Superion to scrap metal, but Superion quickly took to the skies, dodging the laser fire.
"Hold still so I can destroy you!" Devastator shouted, but Superion did no such thing before Devastator's blaster overheated. Taking advantage of this, Superion flew down towards Devastator, smashing him into the six individual Constructicons once he came in contact. Menawhile, Defensor took on Bruticus.
"You, make, Bruticus, angry!" the Combaticon shouted before charging toward Defensor, who quickly dodged him before grabing Bruticus and throwing him to a stone pillar. Bruticus reacted by activating his shoulder cannons and firing at Defensor, who took a hit dead on, but did not fall.
"That the best you've got Bruticus?" he taunted before getting a blaster of his own, firing at each of Bruticus' limbs, separating them into the five individual Combaticons, who all ran away when Defensor started walking to them. While that was going on, Computron went up against Abominus.
"Die Computron!" the Terrorcon shouted.
"PROBABILITY OF COMPUTRON DEFEAT AGAINST ABOMINUS, 32.959%," Computron responded in an almost computer like voice.
"Computron think too much!" Abominus replied before firing at Computon, who quickly dodged the laser fire.
"ANGLE OF FIRE, 14 DEGREES OFF CENTER," he stated. "CALCULATING RETURN FIRE PATTERN." Then Abominus charged at Computron, tackling him to the ground before some of Computrons's lights turned blue.
"CALCULATED FORCE NECESSARY TO ACTIVATE TERRORCON TERROR MECHANISM, 16 MEGAHURTS," he stated before a cannon came up on his chest. "COMPUTING ANGLE OF FIRE, POSITIONING LASER CANNON, FIRE!" With that, the laser cannon fired directly at Abominus' chest, pushing him off of Computron and separating him into the five Terrorcons, who looked up at Computron in horror as he got back up.
"ESTIMATED PROBABILITY OF TERRORCON VICTORY OVER COMPUTRON, 4.1%" Computron stated as the Terrorcons ran away from him.
Meanwhile, Metroplex was busy duking it out against Trypticon. Grabbing his tail and tossing him into the sea, away from the ensuing battle. Trypticon then got up and roared at Metroplex before charging straight at him. Metroplex moved out of the way and attempted to punch the massive Decepticon, only for Trypticon to turn around and unleash a fire blast straight at Metroplex, sending him flying to a beach a few miles away. He then got back up as Trypticon ran up to him, running back at Trypticon, attempting to kick him this time, but Trypticon quickly acted by swiping him down to the ground with his tail, stomping on him to prevent him from getting up, prepping another fire blast to finish Metroplex, but then the giant Autobot activated a shoulder cannon and blasted part of Trypticon's face off. Roaring in pain, Metroplex got back up and grabbed Trypticon's head, slowly twisting it around until it finally came off, killing Trypticon as he fell to the sea in a massive splash.
Upon seeing their ultimate weapon falling and the Autobots beginning to win in the battle, the Decepticons had only one option left. Five guesses what it is.
"Retreat, retreat!" Cyclonus shouted as Astrotrain came in and transformed into his space shuttle mode, Decepticons and firebenders piling inside almost like a clown car, before Astrotrain took off.
"Jettison some weight or I'll never make it back to the Fire Nation!" Astrotrain said as he struggled to prevent himself from falling in to the sea. Knowing that the battle was won, the Autobots and the warriors started to cheer while Ultra Magnus came up to Hot Rod.
"What are you doing here Hot Rod?" he asked.
"We came in a search party to try and find Optimus sir," Hot Rod answered.
"But what of Cybertron?" Ultra Magnus asked, wanting to know what has become of his home.
"Cybertron is lost sir..." Hot Rod said as he dropped his head down sadly. Ultra Magnus didn't respond. All he did was lower his head as well, knowing that the Decepticons have conquered his entire home planet.
Back with Aang and Nemesis Prime, Aang flew through the pillars in search of Nemesis Prime when he came through one of the pillars, trying to get the drop on him, but Aang quickly reacted by grabbing him and dragging him across the mountain wall. Then Nemesis Prime blasted him off of him and grabbed him, swinging him around again and again before tossing him away, through a group of pillars. Aang was floating upside down when Nemesis Prime flew in and grabbed him again, tossing him away and blasting him with his blaster, sending Aang into a mountain wall. Nemesis Prime then landed in front of him, his swords ready to end it all, but then Aang's fists clenched and the ground bellow the Fire Lord shot upwards, sending him up in the air, before Aang used earthbending to send tiny stones from the wall to Nemesis Prime, tearing the armor apart. Ozai's eyes widened in fear upon seeing his armor destroyed before Aang used waterbending to grab Ozai and toss him onto the top of a pillar. Landing with a thud, Ozai struggled to get up as Aang, still in the Avatar State, levetated above him, before lifting his arms upward, encasing the Fire Lord's hands and feet in stone, trapping him. Ozai could just look up, feeling something he hadn't felt in years: fear.
"FIRE LORD OZAI," Aang said with the voices of all of the past Avatars in his voice. "YOU AND YOUR FOREFATHERS HAVE DEVASTATED THE BALANCE OF THIS WORLD. AND NOW, YOU SHALL PAY THE ULTIMATE PRICE!" Aang then made a weaving motion, commanding a stream made from the four elements to head towards the Fire Lord's black heart, ready to end it all, when Aang's tattoos and eyes ceased glowing, and the stream fell apart, causing only water and small pebbled to be dropped onto Ozai. Surprised, the Fire Lord looked at Aang as he descended in front of him, releasing his bonds through earthbending, looking away from him.
"No...I'm not going to end it like this," he said.
"Even with all the power in the world...you are still weak..." Ozai said as he started to get back up and attempted to attack Aang from behind, but a little trick he learned from the blind bandit herself, Toph, caused Aang to sense it coming. Aang then quickly earthbended a column to block the attack, as well as to trap a surprised Fire Lord's hand, before trapping his other hand with a similar column. Aang then lowered the columns, forcing Ozai to the ground before placing his hands on his forehead and chest. Aang then closed his eyes and concentrated, remembering something the lion turtle had taught him.
"In the era before the Avatar, we bend not the elements, but the energy within ourselves," the lion-turtle explained.
After a while, blue streaks of light came out of Aang's eyes and mouth while, Ozai, consumed by fear, erupted red streaks of light from his eyes and mouth. The two lights appeared to be balanced before the red light started to consume the blue light.
"To bend another's energy, your own spirit must be unbendable, or you will be corrupted and destroyed," the lion-turtle continued.
It appeared that was exactly what was going to happen, as the red lights started to consume Aang's body, corrupting his spirit, but just at the last second, a bluish white almost heavenly light erupted from Aang's body and consumed Ozai's body as a pillar of light shot up into the sky, and just as it began, it had ended. Aang then released Ozai's bonds, dropping the Fire Lord to the ground. Of course, he tried to attack despite his weak condition, but to his horror, he couldn't bend.
"What...what did you do to me?" Ozai asked.
"I took away your firebending," Aang answered. "You can't use it to hurt or threaten anyone else ever again." Ozai then dropped down to the ground, knocked out cold, when Aang heard an explosion from behind, seeing Optimus and Dreadwing duking it out against Galvatron, realizing there was still one final battle that needed to ended, and it was then that he remembered possibly the one thing that could do so.
While that was going on, Optimus, beaten and dented, was thrown to a pillar by Galvatron, who was about to finish things off, when Dreadwing came in and tried to stab Galvatron in his black spark with his sword, but Galvatron quickly got out his dark energon sword and Dreadwing's sword burst into a million pieces on contact before Galvatron got out his dark energon blasters and blasted a hole where Dreadwing's spark should be. Dreadwing's optics widened in shock and pain before falling from the pillar they were standing on to his doom.
"Dreadwing!" Optimus shouted as he tried to get back up, only for Galvatron to slam his foot onto Optimus' chasis.
"I have been waiting for this moment for millenia Optimus!" Galvatron declared as he raised his sword upward. Then, something caught Optimus by the crack of his optic. Aang running to him and throwing the dagger he found on the lion-turtle to him. His optics widened in disbelief as he grabbed the dagger before Galvatron swung his sword downward to Optimus, an explosion being the result of the contact. Galvatron smirked sinisterly, thinking he has finally won, but when the dust settled, his expression changed into that of pure horror.
*QUE STAN BUSH'S THE TOUCH*
When the dust settled, Galvatron's sword was against a giant, glowing blue sword held by Optimus.
"It can't be..." Galvatron stated, knowing what this object was. "The Star Saber!" Optimus then slowly got back up and let out a battle cry as he pushed Galvatron off of him with a giant shock wave generated by the Star Saber, sending the tyrant flying back into a pillar. Galvatron weakly got up as Optimus flew down to him, the Star Saber in his hands, before Galvatron conjured his dark energon sword and attempted to stab Optimus, but not only did he deflect it with the Star Saber, but his sword shattered into a million pieces. Galvatron's optics widened as Optimus plunged the Star Saber into his chasis, killing him before the energy from the sword caused Galvatron's body to explode. Optimus simply closed his optics at the sight, wishing there was a way he could have spared his old friend, but knowing that the peace of mankind came first. Then Optimus looked upward as Sozin's Comet left the atmosphere of Earth, but he wasn't having it.
"Never again..." Optimus said as he activated his jet pack and flew towards the comet, dodging pieces that flew off of it before plunging the Star Saber into the center of the comet itself. Blue energy started coursing through the comet before it suddenly exploded. Optimus then flew back down to Earth, knowing that now, no one else will be able to use its destructive power ever again.
Meanwhile, Aang met back up with Sokka, Toph and Suki, the still unconscious Fire Lord next to him.
"You did it!" he exclaimed. "You should have seen yourself, it was amazing! You were all like, pshoom! Pfoom! Pfoom! Phish! Whoom! And he was all like, eugh, eh, eh, eh, eugh, aye!" Then Suki cautiously walked towards the body of Ozai.
"So, did you...you know...finish the job?" she asked.
"I'm still alive..." Ozai angrily responded as he awakened. Suki then immediately pulled back from him in fear.
"I learned there was another way to defeat him and restore balance," Aang replied. "I took his bending away."
"Whoa..." Toph said as here eyes and Sokka's eyes widened in surprise. "Who taught you that?"
"A giang lion-turtle," Aang answered matter-of-factly.
"You have the craziest adventures when you disappear," Toph said while Sokka walked up to Ozai.
"Well, look at you buster," he said in a mocking tone. "Now that your firebending is gone, I guess we should call you the 'Loser Lord'."
"I...am...the FIRE Lord!" he said as he tried to get back up, only to collapse to the floor.
"Oh, sorry, didn't mean to defend you 'Fire Lord of getting his butt whupped!" Toph replied while punching her fist into her palm.
"Yeah, or how about 'Lord of the...guys who don't win?" Suki added, trying to join in.
"Leave the nicknames to us honey," Toph replied.
The next morning, a crowd stood in front of the Fire Nation coronation plaza, as humans of all nations and the Autobots gathered around to witness Zuko be crowned the next Fire Lord. It was then that Katara and Sokka saw their father among the crowd.
"Dad!" both of them said, getting Hakoda's attention as both siblings hugged their father.
"I heard what you two did," Hakoda said with a smile on his face. "I am the proudest father in the world, and your mother would be proud too." Upon hearing this, Katara clutched her necklace, tears forming, when Sokka saw Suki and the other warriors, including Ty-Lee in Kyoshi Warrior make up.
"Wait, why is,-" Sokka started before Suki finished for him.
"She's one of us now," she answered as Sokka's jaw dropped to the floor, speachless.
"Yeah, the girls and I really bonded," Ty-Lee explained. "And once my leg heals up, I'll be joining their group." She then went up to two of the warriors and placed her hands around their shoulders, catching them off guard.
"We're going to be best friends forever!" she said as the warriors smiled somewhat hesitantly. Then Toph sensed something come up to her and she immediately ran up to Ironhide, who had an artificial leg attached to him.
"Ironhide!" Toph shouted with joy as she went up and hugged his artificial leg.
"Hey kiddo," Ironhide said with a smile before Ratchet came in.
"Nya-ah-ah-ah!" he said to Toph. "Ironhide is still recovering from his injuries."
"Oh lighten up Doc," Ironhide replied. "What's wrong with a little reunion?" Then they heard rockets launching and everyone looked up to see four space caskets launching through the atmosphere, carrying the remains of Breakaway, Sunstreaker, Cliffjumper and Dreadwing. Everyone then stopped what they were doing and had a moment of silence to mourn their fallen friends.
Inside the plaza, Aang, now wearing Air Nomad robes and wearing a necklace similar to that of his old mentor 'Monk Gyatso's,' was meditating when Zuko walked up to him, now in Fire Lord robes.
"I can't believe a year ago my purpose in life was hunting you down, and now..." he said.
"And no were friends," Aang replied with a smile on his face.
"Yeah, we are friends," Zuko responded while Aang got up.
"I can't believe a year ago I was still frozen in a block of ice," he said. "The world's so different now."
"And it shall be even more different," Optimus Prime said as he walked up to the two of them, getting their attention. "For we shall build it together." The two boys looked up and smiled at the last of the Primes, who smiled back at them, before the three of them walked through the curtains as a fire sage sounds a gong while Zuko walked up to a cheering crowd. Zuko then raised his arm in a humble manner.
"Please, the real heroes, are the Avatar and Optimus Prime," Zuko said as he motioned to them walking towards the crowd. The crowd then resumed cheering while Aang looked upon the crowd to Katara, smiling to her, to which Katara smiled back.
"Today, this war is finally over!" Zuko declared, to which the crowd responded with a thunderous cheer. "I promised my uncle that I would restore the honor of the Fire Nation, and I will. The road ahead of us is challenging. A hundred years of fighting has left the world scarred and divided, but with the Avatar and Optimus' help, we can get it back on the right track, and begin a new era of love and peace." Then a fire sage got the Fire Lord diadem while Zuko kneeled down when the sage came up behind him.
"All hail Fire Lord Zuko!" the sage said as he placed the diadem into Zuko's top knot, crowning him the new Fire Lord. Zuko then rose upward as the crowd resumed cheering.
Afterward, at Ba Sing Se, the entire group, Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Zuko, Suki, Mai, Ty-Lee, Iroh, Bumblebee, Ironhide and Warpath were inside Iroh's tea shop as Iroh played a snugi horn inside when Zuko came up and gave him a cup of tea, before moving on to everyone else.
"Zuko, stop moving!" Sokka said from behind a desk, painting a picture. "I'm trying to capture the moment. I wanted to do a painting, so we always remember the good times together."
"That's very thoughtful of you Sokka," Katara said sweetly, that is until she saw the actual painting. "Wait, why did you give me Momo's ears?"
"Those are your hair loopies," Sokka corrected.
"Well why did you give me wings?" Bumblebee asked as most of the others gathered around to see Sokka's painting.
"Those are your doors," Sokka argued.
"At least you don't look like a boarcupine," Zuko added. "My hair's not that spiky!"
"I look like a man..." Mai added.
"And why did you paint me firebending?" Suki asked.
"I thought it looked more exciting that way," Sokka answered.
"Why do I look like I have a stick coming out of my chest?" Warpath asked.
"That's your chest cannon," Sokka argued before Momo got on the table and started chirping. "Oh, you think you can do a better job Momo?" Then Aang got up and walked outside the balcony as the others kept observing Sokka's painting.
"Hey, my belly's not that big anymore," Iroh stated. "I've really trimmed down."
"Well I think you all look perfect!" Toph remarked, which got everyone to laugh at her joke. Meanwhile, Aang looked at the sunset from the balcony while Katara started to walk toward him, stopping beside him, blushing. Then the two of them embraced in a hug, before looking upon each other and leaning in for a kiss. Meanwhile, Optimus looked upon the dusk sky of Ba Sing Se, observing the Sun's beauty.
WITHOUT A MEANS OF LEAVING THIS WORLD, WE AUTOBOTS TAKE STRENGTH IN THE BONDS WE HAVE FORGED WITH OUR YOUNG FREINDS.
