Back in the green room area,
Roman: "Yeah. I'll taste your kiss all right."
Dean: "You boys realize we're going to have to train with them, right?"
Dean is pacing back and forth in front of Seth and Roman. Roman is sitting on a near- by chair and Seth is standing next to him still in his wrestling gear.
Seth: "Why the hell would we need to train with them? They know how to wrestle already."
Dean: "Yeah, but we have to get on the same page with them. We can't just go out there and look like a bunch of morons. It has to look like The Shield against Divas of Destruction not an ambush by three women."
Roman: "We've been doing the ambushing around here. Don't even sweat it, dude. We run this yard not them."
Dean: "Exactly and it sounds to me like Miss Roxy already has her intentions set on you."
He puts his hands on Roman's shoulders and gives him a pat for emphasis to which Roman gives him a "What the hell are you doing?" look and Seth looks at both of them expecting something to pop off.
Roman: "Maybe and maybe she's just playing her part as their enforcer. You need to relax, dude. We're not even out in the ring anymore. This is our time away from that right now."
Dean: "How many enforcers do you know that make empty threats? Are you not seeing that these women could be a threat to The Shield? They obviously don't care that the WWE doesn't allow women and men to wrestle together and they obviously don't care that we are the most dangerous team out there right now. This is time to work on a strategy and to regroup. We need to do this like we do."
Seth: "Look, Dean. We get it, all right. We get what you're saying. I've wrestled with females before in Ring of Honor and I've been in this situation before. They wrestle just as good as men do and sometimes they win. We don't have to let them get into our heads, all right. There are three of us and three of them. You obviously know how to get into Diamond Dust's head and she obviously knows how to get inside yours. Now, are we going to let them play mind games with The Shield or are we going to show them who runs this shit?"
Roman: "We're going to show them who run this, shit."
Seth: "That's what I'm talking about. See? Roman gets what I'm saying."
Dean: "I get it too. I'm not letting anyone inside my head. We run this. We're The Shield and I'm not going to let the new bitches on the block throw me off my game."
They slap high fives and Seth heads back to get changed. Jessica is heading down the same hall and is looking at her phone and looks up just in time to run smack into a black object aka Seth. She stumbles back and Seth catches her from hitting the ground.
Seth: "Whoa, easy there. Are you ok?"
She rubs her face after realizing she actually came into physical contact with a not so soft object that actually hurt.
Jessica: "Owe, yeah I'm good. I'm so sorry I wasn't watching where I was going at all. My mom was texting me about seeing me on TV and I guess I got wrapped up in the conversation."
Seth: "No worries. You should pull your nose out of your phone before you run into something less soft."
Jessica: "Less soft? Dude, you are not soft. That vest is not soft to run into. I don't know who told you that, but they lied to you."
Seth: "Oh my God, your face is red now."
Jessica: "Uh, I'm embarrassed that I ran into you. Of course I have pink cheeks."
Seth: "No. Where you ran into me is red not as in blushing."
He reaches up to feel if she had a bump and she flinched away.
Jessica: "Are you serious? It's tender to the touch, but I think I just got a rug burn from the vest material."
She pulls up her mirror app on her phone and checks out what Seth is talking about. Seth starts laughing.
Seth: "Of course they have an app for that. Like we need some more excuses for women to be checking their make up all the time."
Jessica: "Dude, you're right my face is red. I didn't even hit you that hard. What the hell is that vest made out of, bricks?"
Seth: "No. I swear to God, it's not even heavy."
Jessica: "I can't go back into the Divas locker room with this. They're going to assume someone attacked me not that I'm a klutz."
She shut the app and put her phone into her pocket trying to think quick on what to do about the obvious change to her physical appearance and praying it didn't turn into a bump or bruise. That's all she needed was Madison to see this and think that The Shield were beating on women outside of the ring.
Seth: "Are you known for being a klutz or being attacked at random?"
Jessica: "In the Ring of Honor days yeah. I got jumped by the other Divas because I tended to talk a lot of shit to them and it was expected. Here, nobody even knows my name other than being 1/3 of the Divas of Destruction and even that's not even really popular enough to have random members jumped yet."
Seth: "You competed in Ring of Honor and we've never met? I'm surprised."
Jessica: "Yes we have. Hi, I'm The Resident Rocker. Remember the conversation we had in the catering area when we first came here tonight?"
Seth: "Yes. I remember the conversation we had, but Roxy was the one talking about how she used to compete with Tyler Black. You never said anything about Ring of Honor to me."
Jessica: "Well, I competed against Tyler Black too and now I'm smacking into Seth Rollins in the hallway on the way to change my clothes."
She could feel her cheek getting hot where she bumped it.
Seth: "Let me take you to Doc Sampson and see if we can get some ice on that so it doesn't become obvious."
Jessica: "Good idea. Last thing I need is for Maddie to get on a high horse about men beating on women outside of wrestling. All she'll hear is "blah blah blah Seth Rollins hit…face….." The details won't matter."
Seth: "Even if the story starts with "I was walking down the hall with my nose in my phone."
Jessica: "Yeah. Even if the story starts with me not paying attention to where I'm going it will still end with "No man should hit a woman" even though it wasn't like that."
Seth: "Accidents happen she needs to get over it."
He walks with her down to Doc Sampson's office.
Jessica: "You don't know Maddie. She's very protective of her girls and she's very defensive when she feels like someone is being threatened. It comes from a lot of her past experiences."
Seth: "Maddie had it rough growing up, huh."
Jessica: "Yeah she did. She's a fighter and she's had to fight all of her life to get where she is today. Now she's the most loyal friend I have and the first to have my back if there's ever something confrontational going on."
Seth: "That's mine and Roman's relationship. He's the first to have my back if there's a confrontational situation and Dean is crazy like a fox. He just goes off without warning if he's pushed. But you couldn't ask for anyone any sweeter. He's very loving and affectionate. At first, I was kind of put off by it, but then I realized it's just how Dean shows love."
Doc Sampson comes into the room and sees Seth and Jessica standing there.
Doc Sampson: "What happened?"
Jessica: "My face said "hi" to Seth's vest in the hall and I got a boo boo. I think it just needs ice."
He checks her out and gets her some ice to put on her cheek.
Doc Sampson: "How did your face say "hi" to Seth's vest in the hall?"
Jessica: "I was texting and walking and he was walking to the locker room and "Smack" we ran into each other. He stopped me from falling on my ass on the ground and here we are."
Doc Sampson: "Good hands, Rollins. You managed to save this one from her own destruction. Your face is going to be fine. It's just roughed up from the material. As for you, I suggest saving the phone messages for when you're not walking down the hall. We can't have you busting up your face."
Jessica: "Thank you. I will remember that."
