Chapter 6

Letty was over at the Toretto's house for dinner. It was a week since Letty and Dom's little incident. The whole team was over, Vince, Leon, and Jesse. Mia and Letty were cooking while everyone else was in the living room. Each of the guys had a beer with them.

Brooklyn, Leon, and Jesse were lying on their stomachs coloring on the floor. Dom and Vince sat on the couch watching a football game. "No, red!" Brooklyn yelled at Leon, for using the wrong crayon. Leon dropped the crayon and picked up the red one. "Good job," she said giving him thumbs up.

Dom took in this time to really look at Brooklyn. She had Letty's hair, but it was extremely curly. Her eyes were Letty's too, big and brown. However, she didn't have all Letty's facial features. Her nose must be her father's, but her smile was Letty's. She had Letty's high cheekbones as well. In all honesty, she was beautiful.

"Dinner's ready," Letty said walking into the living room. Brooklyn stood up and ran to grab Letty's hand. She walked back into the kitchen holding her daughter's small hand.

"Thanks Tití," Brooklyn smiled at Mia.

"No problem sweetheart," Mia told Brooklyn.

Brooklyn climbed up on her chair and Letty pushed it in for her. Just as everyone was seated, the doorbell rang. Everybody shared a glance with each other; no one was to be expected. Dom stood up and excused himself to go open the door. A few moments later, he walked in with a beautiful lady. She had light brown hair and piercing green eyes.

She was dressed in a knee-length blue dress and small heels. "Everyone, this is Elena," Dom said with his hand around her waist. He pulled a chair up for her right next to his and motioned for her to sit.

"So are you two together?" Mia asked.

"Well…yeah," Elena laughed. Letty gave Dom a confused look and he quickly broke eye contact with her.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Mia. This is Vince, Leon, Letty, Jesse, and Brooklyn," Mia said pointing to everybody.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you all," Elena smiled.

"Elena, well that's a pretty name," Vince smiled. "What is it? Russian? Hispanic?"

"I'm Hispanic."

"Well, how about that," Leon smirked, "Dom you must got a thing for Hispanic girls."

The dinner with Elena was awkward. Leon and Vince were the only two who really made conversation with Elena. Letty was pissed at Dom, only a week ago they had sex, now he had a new toy? Disgusted, she excused herself and walked to the bathroom. She shut the toilet bowl lid and sat down. She put her head in her hands and tried to think. She got up and walked over to the sink and splashed her face. After patting it dry, she went back downstairs.

Dom and Elena were gone.

"Dom's room," Leon told her, pointing up. Letty nodded and took her spot back at the table. "You coming to the races tonight girl?" Leon asked.

"I mean, I would, but I don't got anyone here to watch Brooklyn."

"My momma's available," Vince spoke up. She's out of the hospital, I don't think she'd mind."

"Thanks V," Letty smiled.

After dropping a tired Brooklyn off at Vince's mother's house, she went home. She dressed into jean shorts that were ripped under both pockets, and a tight fitting black tank top. To complete her look, she wore her black combat boots. She smacked her lips together after applying her lip balm, and was out the door.

Pulling up to the racing scene just felt right. It felt like home. She looked out her window at everybody, there were a lot of familiar faces here, but even more new ones. She saw Mia standing by her red Acura NSX-T. Letty parked in the spot next to her and got out.

"Hey Mi," Letty said kissing Mia's cheek.

"You look good," Mia smiled. The two girls looked out at the crowd here. In the distance, Letty saw Dom with his arm around Elena. They were talking to someone, and Vince and Jesse were with them.

"Here," Leon said returning with a beer for Mia.

"Thanks Le."

"We're in," Dom said coming back with everyone. "Leon, you're up first."

Leon nodded and gave his beer to Vince before starting towards his car. Letty took this time to check out Elena. She was wearing jeans and a pink tank top. Her hair was up in a high ponytail, Letty had to admit, she looked good.
