GN2012: TIME'S UP! Voting lines have been officially closed. I have gathered all the votes that I've received from all of you. And now Rockman/Netto's name once he awakens will be...

...

...

...

HIKARI DAISUKE!

All right! I guess I won't have to think twice before writing his name EVER again. But there's still one more winner. The new henshin phrase for our guardians has been decided. Roll-chan and Emmie will be demonstrating it for us! And before we proceed, because Nature (Flora & Emmie) is the Supreme Light, I decided to come up with a separate phrase for them, which still matches with the winning phrase.

...

...

...

Roll-chan: Release! Watashi no Rosa Mystica!

Emmie: Release! Saiko no Hikari!

*Claps* Well, there go the winners. Thank you so much to those who voted! And now I present to you Episode 16!

Emmie yawned.

She stretched, tiredly gazing at the digitalized ceiling. Then, her eyes shifted to the side. She chuckled. Next to her was Roll, clutching her pillow – like a child, squeezing her teddy bear. Carefully, the ginger-haired navi lifted the baby-blue blanket off of her exhausted limbs, assuring that no sound would awaken the sleeping neko. Emmie stood up, causing her long her to flow as she spun around. She couldn't help it.

Although both Flora and her lived the same first life, she was the one who experienced the change – from a human being, to an Internet Navigator – a netnavi. Yet how grateful she was. Netnavis that are considered 'normal', or 'common' are those who have average level of skill and more basic accessories. Of course, it all depends on how much the buyer had when ordering the navi. The more money, the more complex it could be. She hated the idea, but it was true. Unfortunately, because in every world, there will always be a human that considers netnavis, or any living being that isn't human as 'products' that you can buy.

That's why she was lucky – because she wasn't 'normal', and it would be a while before humans would figure out why, unless someone would see her at this moment. There she was, wearing an orange kimono shirt with loose creamy yellow pants that reached her knees and was barefoot. She could've been easily mistaken for a human. Except for the fact that she still had her antennaes, connected to her head, instead of her helmet.

Netnavis might have the possibility to dress up, however their basic plug-suit would be present at all times. And Emmie wasn't the only one. Roll's blonde locks floated on the bed's sheets, like her white nightgown, making her look more human than netnavi. And if Emmie would continue with her round of thoughts, the night would replace the day and she'd still be there, right on that same spot.

She heaved a sigh. For once, Dark Star wasn't going to ruin the day – at least she hoped so. Emmie opened a green-framed screen. She pressed on it, causing her body to scatter into data cuboids and...

... materialized into the human world. She heavily flopped on the couch, listening to screeches, coming from the kitchen. She leaned her head back, turning her head to the side – noticing someone wearing a redlined shirt, blue shorts and fluffy white slippers.

She then caught a glimpse of Flora's long loose hair. Early as always, "Ne Flora, how about you relax and act normal for a change?"

A soft voice replied, "If you're here to accuse me for getting up at 6 o'clock every day, then go back to the PET."

"And why should I do that?" challenging the brown-haired girl.

"Because if you're the 'accuser'," Flora did the speech marks motion, "then you should back up your point by following it." She walked towards the ginger-haired navi, placing her hands on her waist, "And all I'm seeing is an abnormal netnavi, outside of her abnormal PET, sitting abnormally on an abnormal couch."

Emmie grunted. This caused Flora to laugh. She'd always find her netnavi's challenging habit quite amusing. She grasped for air and went back to the kitchen.

The brunette frowned, "Did you hear the mails at night?"

"You mean the voice? Yeah, but I couldn't understand it."

Flora grabbed a black pan and threw a pancake to the air. It switched sides once it landed, "Serenity must have noticed the tracking signal. But downloading the TENSHI Program cost us audio messages. Without the proper console, all we can do is wait and hope that she will figure out where we are."

Emmie crossed her arms, "You do remember how Serenity is, right? It'd take a miracle for her to notice that talking won't work."

"Then we'll just have to believe," the Linphean girl carried a plate of exquisite pancakes with floating sugar powder, honey, syrup, cheese, ham, a bronze tea pot and four cups behind her. "So, how about we keep up with the abnormality and eat?"

The navi face-palmed at the comment, as she sat down.

She rested her hand on her cheek, looking at the floating pottery – serving her breakfast. A small smile grew on her face, "I'm glad..."

"Hmm?" Flora blinked twice, watching as the ginger-haired navi embraced a cup in her hands, pressing it against her fingers.

"I'm glad that she's alright."

She knew whom she was referring to. It was Roll – her little sister. And she joined her in relief. "Me too." Flora stretched her arm, gently placing her hand on top of Emmie's tense fist, whose hand had left the cracked cup. "But you don't have to keep your pain from me. I also can't forgive myself for not being there and maybe I never will. But I'd rather be here; right now than worrying about something we can't change. They're safe and that's enough for me. And it should be enough for you."

Emmie felt her eyes tremble and her cheeks reddened. But, embarrassment for needing another lecture from her operator didn't cause this. It was the ache in her heart that stood at the edge of bursting out. She heard the sudden screech from the chair; echoing footsteps and then, arms embraced her. This was it. The only place where the powerful netnavi would dare to unmask the fragile girl she truly was.

And she let go.

Unbearable streams stabbed through her warrior orbs, staining her cheeks. Fists pounded in her chest – sobs pushing out to the surface. The navi reached a point where the pain grasped her from within and only holding onto Flora could safe her.

Yet gazing at her netnavi had brought suffering to her as well. She still couldn't believe how Emmie could trap herself in a world where tears meant catching a peek at Death. Even as a netnavi, she had emotions – emotions that simply couldn't stay hidden this way.

Her grip tightened, and she raised the tone in her voice. "You need to stop doing this, Emmie. The more you keep enduring this pain, the harder it will be for you when you can't hold it anymore. We need to be strong... for our sisters' sakes. They're already going through a lot and can't keep going forwards without our support. So... are you going to help me?"

Her sobs quietened. Emmie carefully lifted her head off Flora's shoulder, drying her tears. "I... I-I could try..."

"Alright," The brunette-girl smiled, softly patting her shoulder. She stood up and walked towards the narrow staircase. She looked at the netnavi from the corner of her eye, "You know what... I feel like eating as a family. Can you wake Roll up? I'll be in Meiru-chan's room – I've got a feeling that she's already awake..."

Emmie answered tiredly with a hum, whilst nodding.

At the house next door, a certain brunette tiptoed downstairs, attempting to prison-break. He toiled away – enduring the guilt – and partnering with such an upright netnavi worsened his agony.

"Netto-kun, stop what you're doing! You'll never see the light of day if Mama finds you leaving home without her knowing!" Rockman pointed out, adding one more block onto Netto's drained back.

He sharply whispered back, "If you shut up, we might have a chance of surviving...!"

"But..." The blue-haired navi couldn't help but worry. Yet it wasn't the fact that they were leaving the house, oh no, it was the idea of breaking into a celebrity's house, surrounded by what could possibly be a thousand security barriers and obstacles. And entering Yaito's house without her permission proved his point.

Either way, Netto was determined. If wanted something, he'd accomplish it at any means necessary. And right now, he stood steps from the entrance and ready to leave.

But before the navi could shot him another warning speech...

"Going somewhere?" Yuuichirou stopped him mid-way.

Screeches echoed in the brunette's head as he slowly turned around, trembling. His eyes met with his dad's, who rested on the couch and froze right there. He tried to answer, but no words came out.

Yuuichirou spoke instead, "I already told you last night – you're not putting a foot outside this house until the interrogation."

"But Papa!" he whined.

"Don't make me say it again," the scientist stood up and walked towards his son. Then, he looked at the boy straight in the eye, he grabbed him from under both arms and... he picked him up and threw him onto the leathered couch.

"Whoa!" Netto landed on his back, bouncing a little before lying completely down. He'd gone far worse pain before, but he hadn't expected the sudden move.

Yuuichirou sat on the couch once again, next to the boy. He shot him a taunting glare, "And since you are surely not going to study, you can just sit right here, with me."

Netto growled a scowl. He survived Rockman's babbling for far too long to end up chained to his father's grip. Maybe a little bluffing would get him out, "Hey Papa... I think that Mama forgot to buy cornflakes. I'll go fetch some!"

"Heh, nice try. Fourth drawer to the right," he took the remote control and put the T.V on.

Netto sighed – he wasn't going anywhere. Perhaps he could convince his dad about some netbattle challenge from Dekao and that they planned to meet up at his place. But then, Yuuichirou could simply call Dekao's mum and ask if that was true. Then, he'd end up sitting on that very spot for a whole week. Maybe it was best to just wait and hope that by some miracle, he could escape.

...

After what seemed like ages, she slid her finger downwards, opening a visual screen. On the right corner flashed a blank bar. By tapping twice on the window, a digital keyboard revealed itself. But before resuming with her actions, she cleared her throat and swiped the redness off of her face. She rapidly typed a code and pressed on a green button.

Suddenly, a swarm of cuboids met in mid-air, right next to the netnavi. And then, she heard a surprised 'eek', followed by loud thud.

"About time you'd show up." The lime-eyed navi lifted the teacup, using this moment to shove out her mind what had just happened. She drank a sip and placed it on the delicate plate, "Never knew you were such a sucker for Rockman's romanticism. Especially at night."

"Eh!?" Roll's blushed instantly, shooting up to her knees. She covered her cheeks, hesitating to answer, in disbelief. "W-What are you talking about, Onee-sama!?"

Emmie raised an eyebrow, giving life to her teasing habit. "Roll, I was there when you dreamed about him confessing his love for you," she chuckled, "That surely explained why you repeatedly whispered his name... all night long..."

"I-I was sleep-talking?"

"Yep."

The blonde-haired hold her breath, almost tip-toeing to a seat, across Emmie. She heaved a sigh, aware of the reason. "I never thought I'd evolve this quickly... it's only been, what? One day? And yet I feel so... Hatto-like."

"It happened to me too. At first, I never challenged anyone after they'd tell me something. And now... I just can't help it," explained Emmie, drinking another sip. "Of course we can't forget about the sudden cravings for food. Ironic isn't it? Netnavis don't eat, yet I'm sitting here enjoying breakfast like any human being." Then, she gulped.

Roll creepily stared at her sister, causing her to lean back. As the silence resumed, an anime-style drop appeared on Emmie's head, growing larger and larger by the second. Finally, the blonde-haired navi spoke, "I can't imagine you like that."

The lime-eyed navi fell stupidly. She pulled herself back to her chair and muttered. "Sheesh... you literally pulled the petals right out of me."

"Eheheh, gomen Onee-sama..."

A few minutes later and Flora returned, dragging Meiru on the way. The two sat down, everyone now present. All put their hands together and exclaimed, "Itadakimasu~!"

Each took a bite – slowly squeezing the heavenly tastes right out of the pancakes. Meiru moaned with pleasure, it had been forever since she'd eaten a decent breakfast. Of course, nobody enjoyed each bite as much as Roll. Being a netnavi, eating wasn't a part of her life. She almost forgot how it felt to taste, to enjoy flavours and now it was all coming back. It only took a few minutes for her to empty her plate, having devoured six pancakes in a row.

Roll let out her happiness, squeaking, "This was delicious! Flora-sama, you're amazing~!"

"Believe me Roll, pancakes are basically the only thing I can cook," Flora laughed nervously, sweatdropping.

"Well I loved them!" The blonde-haired navi replied excitedly. She grabbed a napkin, cleaned her messiness off of her face and stood up. "Okay, I'm done! Thank you so much, Flora-sama!"

"Sit-down." Roll immediately followed her sister's order, gulping once seated. The lime-eyed navi drank a sip of her tea and placed it back down, "Sheesh Roll, I know it's been a day since you've awakened. But you've ought to start acting like the princess you are!"

"But, Onee-sama-!"

"Take Meiru-chan as example – straight posture, chin up, shoulders back and pinkie out." Emmie opened her palm, silently telling Roll to look at her operator. The guardian was right. Meiru resembled the same posture that a princess would have been in when at a ceremonious tea party.

The netnavi felt a sudden pull in her stomach. This usually happened when known as Hatto – always being told off by her sister for doing something wrong. Flora noticed the navi's depression and reacted, winking at her. "Don't worry, Emmie's just in a bad mood, she'll get over it."

Roll blinked and just as suddenly, Emmie yelled. "Wha...! Th-That's not true! This is how I am- Hey! Where are you going!? Get back here, I'm not with you yet!" The brunette stood up, piling all the plates in one corner and completely ignoring the fearsome navi. She pinned her fingers onto edge of the last plate and guided herself to the kitchen.

"Meiru-chan, why don't you two go upstairs and take a bath? I'm sure Roll will love it," suggested Flora, smiling brightly.

She gladly smiled back. "Sure." Meiru faced her netnavi, quickly standing up. "I'll race you upstairs!" And she rushed to the stairs.

"Ah- Wait!" Roll quickly speeded after her. The two ran to a light-blue door. Roll was just inches from tapping the door, but the redhead arrived there milliseconds before.

Meiru grinned. "I win."

Roll took a moment to breath the air back. She followed her inside, complaining. "That's cause you got an early start!"

...

...

Downstairs, Flora finished washing the dishes and joined Emmie, who seated in the living room, arms crossed. The green-eyed girl lay back on the couch, resting her head on a leather cushion. She sighed – although the air seemed calm enough, she still felt the tense atmosphere around Emmie, almost pushing her off the couch. Out of the blue, she placed her forearms beneath her head and kept it there. She closed her eyes for a moment and opened them again. This is what she called 'a jolt of inspiration'. A process she'd follow every time she felt like singing.

From the corner of the entrance, a guitar-like keyboard floated to her and keys began to play. And then, words bloomed into a melody – once Flora let them out, meeting with the world's ears.

Whispers in the meadow,

Like the voice I hear.

Through the corridors of the day,

Till the nightly kill.

A warrior stands, in mighty fiends

But he wants to find peace,

He grabs his sword and loses all,

And his life makes its leave.

...

...

...

...

Flora's song travelled around the house, now heard by Meiru and Roll, who calmly listened to it. To anyone, this song would sound cruel and almost violent, but to them, it was a memory that lived within every guardian.

And now I stand, in smirks and grins,

Could it be that I will die tonight?

Oh hold me tight, don't let go,

Tightly keep that mighty sword,

And mark this oath,

Forever more...

Forever more...

...

...

...

The brunette's voice silenced, the melody with it. And with that, Roll and Meiru heaved a sigh. They didn't know why Flora would write such a painful song – yet at the same time they knew.

But the redhead didn't want to think about it, so she spoke, grabbing the navi's attention. "Umm... Roll?"

"Yeah?" she tilted her head, curious.

"You know, I'm really happy you're here. Finally, we'll get to do a lot together! We can bath together, eat together and actually talk without a screen in between!" Meiru leaned her head back to the bathtub's edge, smiling.

Roll tittered. "I guess..."

Then, her operator frowned – noticing her nervousness. "That did not sound happy... something in your mind?"

The blonde-haired navi looked down, feeling as her skin bathed in the warm waters. "I... I'm worried... about Rockman..."

This caused Meiru to chuckle. She grinned, teasing her. "Don't you mean 'in love'?"

"I'm being serious!" her fists tensed, as she pressed them against the bottom of the bathtub. "He's been... protective... maybe a little too much. And I don't mind! It's really sweet of him..." a wave of redness crawled onto her cheeks at this point, "But these feelings, they're the reason why I can't be with him. If I am going to continue evolving, I think it'd be best if I stay away for a while..."

The redhead's face saddened, "Roll, you can't do that! It's... It's just too cruel! Love is a gift that Kami-sama granted us and we need to respect it. We are the guardian of love and friendship for a reason." She reached the netnavi's side, patting her shoulder, "I might hide it better than you, but I love Netto. I love him so much that I'd rather die than watch him be with another girl. But my love for him is also my reason to be here and to be his friend."

The green-eyed navi stared at her netop, listening as she continued. "Rockman needs you to be his friend, no matter what. And who knows... maybe... in a few years... you'll be walking down that aisle and a certain navi will be there, standing at the altar, waiting for you."

Roll's blush deepened and smiled, answering with a hum. She placed her hands together – fingers curved over each other and sighed. "I just hope that netnavis marrying will be allowed by then."

Suddenly, a mischievous idea shot into Meiru's head. She moved her hand in a backwards motion, stretched her fingers out and... Splash! She shoved a wave of water right at the navi's face. Roll winced back, coughing harshly, while the brown-eyed girl guffawed, falling into the water herself.

But Roll wasn't going to lose this time. "Take that!" she attacked her with the same motion.

"Hey!" Meiru laughed and splashed water again.

They might've been together, face to face, in Beyondard, but here they saw each other as the same person – the person whom once they were before.

Back with Netto and Rockman, Yuuichirou decided to watch a baseball match with his son, although he was the only one enjoying it. The brunette just sat there, trying to come up with a plan. He leaned back, resting his head on the leathered cushion. With his mum, he'd simply rush through the front door and right outside, simply yelling the first thing that came into his mind. But with his dad – well, that was a whole different story.

Out of the blue, Rockman softly whispered into the boy's ear his own plan. "Netto-kun, I'll go see Roll-chan. Don't worry, I'll tell you everything once I get back!"

"What!? No! Don't go-!" too late. The blue-haired navi was already gone.

Netto cursed under his breath, angered. He couldn't believe it. He'd fought evil countless times, beat them all and yet he couldn't move an inch from his dad. He sighed, feeling ashamed. This is ridiculous...

...

...

...

Meiru had left the bathroom, changed and was resting on her bed. There she listened to soft music, falling asleep almost immediately. Roll on the other hand decided to stay for a tad bit longer. The fuming scents, the dancing bubbles in the misty air – it was paradise. But once she felt, as her skin demanded her to leave, she got out of the bathtub. The blonde-haired navi wrapped a pink towel that reached her knees and walked to the guest room. She looked at the bed. Wait... where are my clothes?

Then she remembered. She didn't have any clothes, besides her pyjamas. But since they where in the washing machine, for some unknown reason, she had nothing to wear. Luckily Emmie let her wear anything inside her closet. She summoned a visual screen and pressed a shoe-icon. A whole list appeared below the screen. She scrolled down, tapped a few buttons and an outfit materialized on the bed. It was a bright orange dress, short sleeves and a zigzag shape on the front. Below the dress lied white socks – knee length and a yellow flower hairclip to put in the middle of her green bow. She didn't need shoes, since she was inside, thus her outfit of the day was officially ready.

Roll twirled around – recognizing how she also had that as a habit, just like her big sister. After a few minutes, she decided to go back to the PET. Nobody was going to visit her, so it didn't matter wearing her, well Emmie's orange outfit. She teleported into her room and sighed.

"I've got no idea what I'm doing here... oh well... guess I'll just finish reading 'Romeo and Juliet'." But then, she heard a ring – someone was teleporting into her room.

"Eh!?" Roll panicked. She completely forgot to lock the door last night.

But, it was too late. There stood a blue-haired navi, green emeralds staring right at her. She knew who it was straight away. It was Rockman.

"Roll-chan! I- uh..." His voice froze, as he studied Roll's new dress code. His eyes widened, "Wha... What happened to you?"

She played with her fingers, struggling to come up with an answer. Oh no! What do I do!? Come on Roll! Think! Think!

"Umm... it's... it's a..."

"It's a what?" asked Rockman.

"It's a..." the blonde-haired navi noticed a row of clothes next to the bed. Like a bolt of lightning, she found her answer. "... brand new design chip! Yeah! Cause Onee-sama is famous... so she bought me this outfit and I thought, why shouldn't I wear it today?"

Rockman raised an eyebrow, not completely convinced. It just took him a few seconds, before fully believing her. "Alright."

Roll secretly sighed, relieved. She took this as a chance to change the subject. She placed her hands behind her back and looked at the green-eyed navi curiously. "So... does it fit me?"

He blinked twice and looked at her again. His face shot bright red, smiling softly. "Very much."

The blonde-haired navi squeaked in delight. Her eyes met with his once again, feeling as jolly as ever. Then, Rockman spoke. "Roll-chan, I need to talk to you."

She tilted her head to the side, in wonder. "What is it?"

Rockman took a deep breath and his eyes hardened. "Tell me what happened."

She winced back, caught off guard. "What happened? You mean yesterday? Rockman, Onee-sama will answer all questions in two days-"

"I need to know," he stepped forward, keeping one meter of distance, "And I need to know right now."

"Rockman I..." the green-eyed navi closed her eyes, "I can only tell you that I personally don't want you to get involved in this."

"What?" asked in a shocked tone.

"You're my friend, my best friend... and I don't want to see you get hurt!" she exclaimed.

"Get hurt? What about you!? We almost lost you again! How could you even say that, Roll-chan?"

"Because...!" her voice shrunk, while she tried to hold her sorrow. "Because... every person that I know whose duty was to protect me is dead." Her fists tensed, as she continued, "That's why... I want you and everyone else to leave my family and me alone. For everyone's sake."

Rockman took another step towards her, now half the distance apart. "You know I can't do that. The team can't bear seeing you in danger again."

Roll looked down, not daring to meet those eyes. Her heart was already beating fast enough. But what he said next caused a nuclear nova in her very inside.

"I can't bear seeing you in danger again."

That did it. Her face flushed cherry red. She could literally feel smoke escaping from her face. Rockman turned around, making his leave. He didn't wish to disturb her anymore. But before he took another step, Roll stopped him.

"I... I want to start over!" she yelled, startling him. He listened.

"You've been the best friend in the world, but I've been the worst! I... I've kept on lying to you and keeping secrets... and I understand why you're mad at me. It's just that... there's so much to tell... that's why I'm begging you Rockman. Let Onee-sama and Flora-sama talk. There are certain things that only they know. Not me. After the interrogation, you'll know everything. I promise."

Rockman stayed silent. He still had the urge for the truth, but after that speech, he knew he had no choice but to wait. His eyes softened and he smiled. "Okay, I'll wait. And... I'd love to be friends again."

Roll gasped, a smile blooming within her blushing cheeks. "Arigatou, Rockman!"

He now faced her fully, gazing at her. Then, he spoke – once again proving how bold he could be. "By the way, it's the first time I've seen your hair like that."

"Oh! That's right... it came with the design chip..."

"You look really nice." And there went another one of his gentleman compliments. This one of course caused Roll to do what she always did when around Rockman, a cheerful glomp.

Now it was Rockman's turn to blush madly. "Whoa! Roll-chan!"

But she kept connected, no letting go. She was too happy for that to happen. Roll, giggled, "I'm so happy!"

A normal guy would've returned the embrace by now, but since Rockman didn't have a clue about what in the world was going on, he just stood there – scratching the back of his head. "Umm..."

Suddenly, a thousand cubes of data met in one spot, revealing Emmie, still wearing her pyjamas. Uh-Oh...

"Hey Roll! Wanna go for a movie? You know... since last time things didn't turn too... well- WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING HERE!?"

The blonde-haired navi quickly let go and stood between him and her about-to-become-a-savage-beast sister. "Onee-sama I can explain-!"

"You two were making out with my 43rdfavourite dress!?"

"WHAT!? NO! That's not true!" Roll yelled back.

"Oh I see... you were planning on seducing him with the dress!"

"Onee-sama! You've got it all wrong-!"

"I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" she approached the shaking blonde-haired navi, her steps living sharp dents behind. All of a sudden, she shoved Roll to the side. "BUT FIRST, I OUGHTA TEACH YA A LESSON!"

Emmie summoned a 10-meter wide pan, threatening him. Rockman hurled back, frightened by the weapon's size. "GET READY TO BE EMMIE-SQUASHED!"

"Waaaaaaaaaah!" Rockman screamed for life, as the ginger-haired navi swung the pan onto the ground, crushing everything in her path.

"And I thought you were a good kid, you liar!" she smacked him right on the head, slamming him right into the wall.

Roll sweatdropped, shouting at her sister. "O-Onee-sama, stop it!"

The blue-haired navi groaned in pain, rubbing the back of his head. "Argh... And I thought that Roll-chan and Meiru-chan had temper issues..."

It wasn't long before Rockman's vision cleared and met with a fuming Emmie. He sweatdropped, "Oh boy..."

She raised the pan, fire taunting him from her eyes. "RO...KKU... MAN!"

"Aaahhh!" Rockman stared at the deadly pan, wondering if he'd die right there. He tried to move, but his legs were frozen.

"Onee-sama stop!" screamed Roll.

"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!" she slammed the pan right at him, throwing him miles away.

"WHOAAA!" he tore his lungs out from all the screaming. But he was lucky, because seconds later, he logged out.

Emmie yelled, "AND NEVER COME BACK!

Then she panted, whist Roll stood there, not believing what had just happened. "R-Rockman...!"

Like a statue that suddenly looked at you, when in a haunted house, Emmie faced Roll. She stamped her way towards her, scaring her more and more every second. Once Emmie and her eyes met, Roll gulped.

"... Help me..."

Flora and Meiru decided to eat alone, since Emmie announced how she was going to punish Roll for a reason yet to be determined. The brunette ordered ramen, which both girls devoured in minutes. Since they still had one more day before the interrogation, it was best for both to enjoy a good night's sleep. After light's out, Meiru went to bed. Yet Flora's light was still on.

She was standing in front of the window. She placed her hand next to its frame. A hidden open revealed itself, letting her enter. The brunette pressed a tablet's on button, causing a 3-dimensional screen to come out the smooth, heavenly white wall. Then, she wrote a question on its surface – Should everyone really expect naive ideas to yowl?

It was from a gold-framed envelope she received, whilst Meiru and Roll were in the bathroom. She flipped it to read the back once again. On the right corner stood out three initials – K. S. U. And marked in golden ink blazed a curved S, a fan as its background – behind it being a handsome, golden unicorn.

These symbols were familiar, too familiar. And she knew her task was to figure out the message. Her head started to fill with thoughts...

"This question means something. Right now we're waiting for someone to tell us that they know where we are. And it's got to be someone who we haven't met before, yet we've known for a lifetime."

"Should everyone really expect naive ideas to yowl... well the question itself tells us that too believable ideas can reveal themselves, but that not everyone expects that to happen. So what this person wants is our opinion. But the question is twisted. In other words, this person wants us to know them – no, to remember them."

"So our anonymous sender is telling us that they believe in something, yet those around them don't. Wait! Maybe we have to believe on what we see. Maybe we need to literally look at the question. Not for an answer, not until we look at the question."

Suddenly, Flora pressed the pen's tip on the each word's first letter. S... Should... E... Everyone... R... Really... E... Expect... N... Naive... I... Ideas... T... To... Y... Yowl...

Flora gasped and the door opened, revealing a tired Meiru. "Onee-sama, what's wrong? Didn't you say you wanted to sleep early tonight?" She walked towards the green-eyed girl and her eyebrows narrowed. "What is this?"

The brunette stood in silence, finally understanding the message.

"... Serenity."

Emmie: Ugh! That Rockman! Ugh! That Roll! I'm so mad, I could just rip those two into pieces, RIGHT NOW!

Flora: Let's just focus on what just happened. Can't you see? Serenity is calling us!

Emmie: I know but even if we do find her, we've still got that interrogation to worry about...

Flora: True... anyway... GuardianNatur2012-sama? Why didn't you upload this chapter in 5 days like you said you would?

GN2012: Honestly, I've been too busy. Especially after opening a new Deviantart account... I just can't stop drawing! So, my apologies! *bows* I think that'll be the last time I'll make a deadline for myself... Anyway I'm really sorry for not adding a NettoxMeiru scene today. I just thought that RockmanxRoll deserved to be in the spotlight for a change! I hope you liked this chapter and if you didn't... well hopefully you'll enjoy the next episode of Rockman EXE Guardians of the Light Circle~!

Emmie: Song was written by GuardianNature2012-sama~!

Flora: Please read and review! All support is very much appreciate it!

Flora & Emmie: Coming Soon... The First Life

Ending Song:

Fureta yubisaki

Kokoro tomoshite

Nagaredasu senritsu

Ai o nozomu

Kizutsuketa eda no saki

Kuchite yuku sadame na no ?

Tozasareta toki no hazama ni mayoikonda

Chiisana hikari no shizuku

Yume no owari tada kimi dake o negau

Hitomi ni utsuru
