Chapter 9

Quinn and Katy were sitting on the roof. After everything that happened inside, Quinn thought it was best to step outside on the roof away from the others. Maybe to talk.

"So…you're my sister?" Katy asks after a moment of silence.

"Yea" Quinn answers.

"So…you survived?"

"Seems like it."

"What happened to you?"

Quinn takes a breath.

"Well I couldn't remember much, guess I hit my head pretty hard. Went to a foster home. In fifth grade I met Santana, became best friends. She told her parents about my situation and they adopted me. And the rest is history." Quinn explains.

"Did you ever even look for us?" Katy couldn't help but ask.

Quinn sighs "I tried once, but you guys moved. Never could find out where. Guess dad was really trying to keep you guys hidden."

Katy nods, because they have moved a lot. Mostly because of her. "Did you ever think of us? Of me?"

Quinn looks at her little sister. Instead of saying anything, she reaches in her back pocket for her wallet. In the wallet she pulled out a small picture and gave it to Katy.

Katy took it and was surprised. It was a picture of a young Quinn and baby Katy. Katy was sitting in Quinn's lap and they were smiling at the camera, Quinn with her two front teeth missing and Katy with no teeth at all.

"I had that with me when they found me. Must have stolen it from dad when he was passing them out. I look at it every day. It's all I have left of my old life." Quinn says.

They in silence a little bit.

"Dad's right you know. It is all my fault." Katy says suddenly. Quinn looks ready to protest, but Katy stops her. "It is. We were only moving because of me. They thought it was my friends but really…it was all me." Katy says. Quinn stands there listening to her sister. "I was just so…I was sick of him always comparing me to you." she says. Quinn looks a little shocked at this. "It was always Lucy this and Lucy that. Or Lucy did this or that. It just so…annoying." Katy says.

"He does realize that the accident happened when I was nine right. Not much I can really accomplish during that time." Quinn jokes.

Katy chuckles. "I know."

Quinn sighs moving closer to her sister. "Look, kid. Don't listen to any of that. Just be your own person. And dad didn't mean what he said. Okay, he's just emotional." A pause. "I'm sorry by the way." Quinn says.

Katy looked confused at first before understanding. "Yea. I'm sorry too." Katy says.

Once again there was silence. The silence was broken when Puck walks up.

"Hey Quinn, Rachel's looking for you." Puck says.

Quinn looks back at her sister.

"Go. Talk to her. I'll be okay." Katy says.

Quinn takes a minute before nodding her head and turning to head to the roof door. Before she fully walked out she heard her name.

"Quinn." She turns around just for her arms to be engulfed by her sister in a hug. Quinn takes a second before hugging the young girl back. They hug for a while before breaking apart.

Quinn turns to Puck. "Stay up here with her." she says. Puck nods. Before leaving the roof, Quinn places a soft kiss on her sister's head.

She finds Rachel the same place she left her, the office. She walks in and before she could get a word out, her arms were once again engulfed and was pulled into a hug. Rachel rushed over to Quinn and throw her arms around her neck. Momentarily stunned, Quinn hugs her back tenfold.

During the hug, Quinn feels Rachel start to shake and a wetness on her neck.

"I'm so sorry." Rachel muffles an apology. "I was such a bitch to you when you were just trying to help me. And the things I said about you not understanding, I'm so sorry. You do understand more than anyone and…" Rachel trails off in tears. During Rachel's little speech Quinn just held her. "I'm just…I'm so sorry." Rachel cries.

"Shh, hey it's okay." Quinn says wiping the tears from Rachel's face. "It's okay. You were emotion and hurt. It's okay." Quinn says softly.

Rachel sniffs looking at Quinn. Quinn wipes the tears from her eyes. Without hesitation, Quinn leans down to place a soft kiss on Rachel's lips. It was a soft quick peck. As Quinn was pulling back, Rachel grabs her around the neck to pull her back in for a deeper kiss. Once again the taste of the kiss was salty but just right.

They kiss for a while, the kiss never going farther or deeper than it already was. They pulled apart both when there was a need for air and when the lights in the diner suddenly shut on.

"What was that?" Rachel asks.

"I don't know." Quinn says. She takes Rachel's hand and pulls her out in the main diner where everyone else was.

"What's going on? Are we back in business?" Will asks. When he saw Quinn and Rachel come out.

"I don't think so." Quinn replies.

Next they heard was loud gun shots in the air that startled them all.

"What the hell was that?" Santana asks.

They rushed over to the windows to see. Outside they saw a blue mini van parked in front of the gas pump. A man was going to pump the gas when he heard the gun shots. He tries to hurry up and get back in his car, but he was too late and was hit by an incoming car.

Soon there were a multitude of cars and vans once again parked in front of the diner. The doors opened and punk rock looking people flood out of them. They all surround the minivan and started rocking it and tilting it. Suddenly they see the people holding something up…it was a little boy.

There was more shooting before they saw something drop from the roof. It was Puck.

"What the hell is that guy doing?" Will asks. He starts to move the boards from the door, but doesn't get to far before he hears a gun click behind him.

"Don't. If you open that door, we die. Move back." Quinn says holding up the gun.

Outside, Puck races to the little kid, shooting and fighting his way through. Puck finally get to the kid. He picks him up and starts shooting at whoever came close to them.

"Now what you sons of bitches. Now what!" Puck taunts.

Suddenly they stopped moving. They just stood surrounding them. Puck stood there wondering what they were doing or planning before he heard it. Humming. An eerie hum coming from over his shoulder. He turns and looks over at the kid. The kid lifts up his head and he looks like the rest of them.

"Gotcha." he says before sinking his teeth into Puck's neck killing him. Puck's body fell to the ground.

"Damnit!" Will hisses kicking the nearest chair.

Seconds later, once again they saw something fall from the roof.

"Oh god, it's Katy." Rachel says. Quinn's head turns to the door, but she does nothing. She has to restrain herself from going out there.

Just like Puck, Katy took off shooting her way through. She gets in front of the possessed boy, but as she was about to shoot him, she had run out of bullets.

"I'm going to kill you now." he said in a deep hollowed voice.

Katy drops her gun and runs for the van. The possessed punk rockers chase after her. She gets into the car and locks the doors, but the possessed just banged and scratched against the doors and windows.

"We have to go get her." Rachel says to Quinn.

"Rachel, we can't…" Quinn tries.

"She's you're sister, Quinn, you can't just leave her out there to die! Rachel argues. Quinn says nothing.

She was have a hard time deciding what to do. Of course that was her sister and she wanted more than anything go out and save her, but going out there could endanger them all. Endanger Rachel.

"Either you do it or I will." Rachel says. And that did it. Rachel knew saying that would get to Quinn. She knew Quinn would never let her go out there and endanger herself and her baby.

To prove she meant what she said, Rachel walks passed Quinn to the table that held the guns. After grabbing one she was about to turn around when Quinn stops her taking the gun.

"Wait." Quinn takes the gun from her and grabs another. A bigger one. "Open the door." she says turning back to the door.

Will and Santana start to move the boards from the door and opens it. Quinn goes out and starts shooting. She drops the guns, heavy load, and starts kicking and punching her way throw the possessed before pulling two hand guns from her jacket, killing them. When she gets to the van that was still surrounded by the possessed. Quinn picks up the gas pump. She presses down the lever to get the gas flowing before shooting at it with her gun starting a train of fire. She moves the flames around scaring and burning away the possessed.

"Back up." Quinn instructs Katy.

Katy moves to the passenger seat. Through the fire, Quinn bursts in the windows to unlock and open the door. She grabs Katy and they rush to the diner door.

"Open the door!" she shouts.

Just barely to the door, the van blows up. The force of the explosion blew Quinn and Katy into the door of the diner. Everybody rushed to their side, helping Quinn out of her burning coat.

"I'll get some water." Rachel says rushing over behind the counter. She grabs a pitcher and fills it with water. As she was about to head back to the others, she is stopped when she sees the little boy back there with her. She screams.

"Don't be scared, I just wanna play with the baby." the possessed boy says.

He charges at Rachel with a knife, slicing her across the stomach. It wasn't deep enough to hurt Rachel or the baby, but the force of the blow knocked Rachel down. Rachel tries to get away as the boy charges at her again, but her back hits a wall. She quickly grabs a melt tray as the boy swings the knife at her. She dodges each of the knife shots when one block severed the boys thumbs. When the boy was busy looking at the bloody knobs, Rachel kicks him away from her.

"Quinn!" Rachel screams.

Not even seconds later, Quinn hops over the counter to Rachel gun drawn.

"What? What happened? Are you hurt?" Quinn asks frantically looking at the Rachel for any injuries.

"The…the boy…he…" Rachel stutters out.

Quinn quickly turns around pointing her gun at where the boy last was.

"Wh-where is he?" Rachel asks. Her question was answered when the lights once again shout off.

"Stay here." Quinn whispers. When Rachel nods, Quinn jumps back over the counter. She was joined by Santana holding a flashlight.

"Do you see him?" She asks.

As Santana was about to shake her head, they saw little drips of blood on the floor. They follow the blood droplets up to the ceiling. On the ceiling were little bloody hand prints. They followed those till there weren't anymore.

"What the hell?" Santana says.

Suddenly a little body jumped on top of Santana, holding her neck and starts choking her.

"Santana!" Brittany screams. She tries to take a shot at the kid, but couldn't because Santana kept moving trying to get the kid off.

Quinn comes around and yanks the boy off of Santana's back and tosses him back. After Quinn tosses him, Brittany finally takes her shots.

"Son of a bitch." Santana coughs out holding her sore neck. Brittany rushes to her side.

"Are you okay?" Quinn asks her friend. As she was about to answer, the heard a painful yelp from the counter. They turn to find Rachel hunched over clutching her stomach. Quinn was by her side before she could even blink.

"What's wrong?" Quinn asks.

"The baby…I think it's coming." Rachel groans out.

"Oh shit."
