Warning: Violence and character death

Chapter 11

Santana, Rachel, and Brittany along with Katy stood by the back door. With her gun drawn, Santana carefully opens the door. Once it was open, in front of them were a crowd of possessed. None were moving towards them, they were just standing there.

"So what do we do now?" Santana asks. They try to think of a way.

"Couldn't we just like walk through?" Katy asks.

"Yea, Quinn did say that the possessed couldn't come near the baby. Maybe we can just walk right through." Brittany says.

Santana takes a deep breath.

"Okay, you guys stand behind me." Santana says holding her gun up. Rachel holds on tight to her baby.

Santana guides them through the crowd. The possessed moved out of the way as they made their way through. When they finally get to the police car, Brittany and Katy head to the back while Rachel and Santana take the front. Santana quickly starts the car and pulls out of the diner parking lot.

Meanwhile back inside the diner…

Quinn stood in front of the angel with her head down not looking at him. When she lifts her head up her whole demeanor has changed.

"I knew he would send you…Gabriel." Quinn says. "You were always so eager to please Him."

Gabriel looks at the girl in front of him curiously before understanding. He chuckles.

"Unlike you…Michael. The rebellious son." Gabriel says. "I'm impressed. It is just like you…to chose a girl as your vessel." Gabriel remarks.

"She is not my vessel. She is free to cast me out whenever she likes." Michael says in Quinn's voice.

"You are without your wings." Gabriel obverse. "They would have done a great deal of to you now."

"It seems that burden is no more than a dream." Quinn comments.

"You think you can just…defy Him and not pay the price." Gabriel says.

"The child lives. It doesn't matter what happens to me." Quinn says as she walks closer to Gabriel.

"And what about the girl?"

"She feels the same."

"This is a fool's sacrifice, Michael. You can help them run, but they wont escape." A pause. "And neither will you…My brother."

"I'm not running anymore." Quinn steps closer. She cups Gabriel's face and looks at him. "It's enough…There's another way."

Gabriel looks back at her. Although he is looking at the face of another girl, he can still see his brother in her eyes. His eyes filled with unshed tears as he takes Quinn's hand in his own and looks at them. He looks back at her with sorrow in his eyes.

"No there's not." Gabriel says. Quinn drops her head. Gabriel roughly pushes her away and readies himself. Quinn does the same with her gun.

Gabriel's wings spread out wide. He charges for Quinn. As he charges, Quinn shoots her gun at him, but the bullets were repelled by the armored wings. She jumps up and off the booth to avoid the swing of Gabriel's weapon. She continues to shoot.

Gabriel lift up with his wings. Quinn drops her gun and leaps over the counter, away from Gabriel's wielding weapon. She hits him in the face with the butt of her gun, but it does nothing to stop his stride.

He flies up, spinning out his sharp wings, which Quinn dodges by front flipping over the counter and wings. Once she lands on the ground, she once again starts shooting. Again Gabriel comes at her with his weapon, but she flips and dodges it.

She goes to shoot, but the gun nozzle was caught by the end of Gabriel's weapon. Quinn shoots it free, but Gabriel capitalizes and kicks Quinn, sending her flying into the back wall, knocking down several pictures.

Gabriel charges for her, but Quinn dodges it. He swings again, but Quinn also dodges that. Mid swing, Quinn punches Gabriel in the back of his wing, earning a painful cry from Gabriel.

Gabriel swings his weapon again, but Quinn catches it with both her hands. Having more leverage, Gabriel holds his weapon close to Quinn's face. He shifts his weapon to where the blades on it start to spin moving it closer to Quinn's face.

Quinn tries to keep it away from her face. With all of the strength she could muster, Quinn over powers Gabriel, moving his weapon from her face, while at the same time, punching him in the face with her elbow. She follows that up with backhanding him then punching him again. Gabriel once again tries to pin Quinn up against the wall with his weapon, but Quinn blocks it and punches him again. While his back was to her, Quinn reaches up and grabs the tv, slamming it on Gabriel, before punching him again, possibly making his breaking his nose.

She backs up a little before charging at him. He stops her by swinging the rod of his weapon at her gut then punching her. She drops to her knee. Gabriel goes and picks her up by her throat.

Quinn pushes his hand away then punches him. He swings his weapon but she ducks. She elbows him in the gut, grabbing his weapon before back flipping him on to his stomach. While he's still down, Quinn swiftly kicks him to the face.

She goes to punch him, but he get to her first, punching her in the stomach, making her glide across the floor.

Gabriel swings his weapon, although it does not hit her, it knocks her into the counter. Quinn goes to get up, but Gabriel shoves her back. Just as he slams his weapon to her head, Quinn quickly moves, while grabbing the nearest hand gun, making Gabriel smash in the glass counter.

Quinn goes to shoot, but Gabriel knocks the gun out of her hand. He jump kicks Quinn in the face just before spinning his wings, cutting Quinn in the midsection.

Stunned, Quinn looks at her wound before looking back up at Gabriel. Gabriel balls his fist up, punching her in the face twice. He swings his weapon, but Quinn manages to side step and catch it with her hands. She twist the weapon out of his hands making him drop it on the ground. She back hands him followed by a reverse side kick. She flips over his back and wraps her arms around his neck in a choke hold.

Gabriel tries to fight her off his back. He open his wings and tried slamming her back into the ceiling, but she wouldn't let go. If anything she tightens her hold.

"It's enough." Quinn says through greeted teeth. Gabriel tries again to get her off of him. He reaches down to pick up his weapon. "Gabriel…it's enough."

Gabriel finally gets his hands on his weapon. He picks it up and places it to his chest then twist the rod. An arrow like spare comes out, stabbing Quinn through the chest and out the back.

Quinn's hold on Gabriel's neck loosens and she falls to the ground. Gabriel turns to look at her.

"You wanted to live like one of them." Gabriel says. A tear escapes from his eye. "Now you'll die like one." he says.

As Quinn takes her last breath, there was a bright light surrounding her body. Then suddenly she's gone.

Gabriel walks away. As he is heading to the back door where the other left out, something behind the counter caught his eye. There was Will, barely hanging on, trying to light up a lighter near the now broken stove burner. He looks up at Gabriel.

"Sorry, we're out of business." he says before lighting the lighter. The gas from the stove creates an explosion. Gabriel tries to get out, but might have been to late. The explosion communes everything in its path, including the possessed that were still standing out.

Though they were far from the diner, the explosion was so big, Rachel, Santana and the others saw.

"Oh god…Quinn."
