(A/N: I don't own My Babysitter's a Vampire. Sorry I haven't updated in so long, I've had loads of school work and don't even get me started on the writers block but the chapter is finally here so enjoy!)
Benny's POV
The holidays are finally here, well kind of...after all the drama of the previous year we never actually celebrated it so we decided we would have a late one...in march! Roll out the crackers, stockings and of course the mistletoe (can't forget that when I make sure that Erica is standing under it) I have the perfect gift for her and I can't wait to see her reaction, Ethan helped me pick it out but he is the only person who knows, I even made him swear not to tell Sarah with the threat of lacing his morning coffee with holy water.
I stand with Erica in the lounge, adorning the leafy, green tree with all the decorations we could find, the sweet scent of pine fills my nostrils as I top the tree with a glittering, golden star before we both step back to admire our work, I slink up to Erica, slowly sliding my arms around her waist to rest my hands on her slightly elevated stomach.
"It's beautiful, almost as beautiful as you" I whisper, resting my chin on her shoulder.
"If I didn't know any better, I would think you were flirting with me" Erica replies with a wink as she turns to face me.
"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not" I smile, brush a wisp of hair behind her ear.
"Well either way, it seems to be working" she grins before brushing her lips against mine, bringing her hands up to rest on my shoulders. "I think...I think I might be falling in love with you Benny Weir" she whisper when we finally break apart.
"Uh oh, can't be having that. The Erica I know would never fall in love with a dork, such as my awesome self" I exclaim in mock shock.
"Well I might be prepared to commit social suicide just this once..."
"Oh, how kind of you!" I mention, sarcastically before pressing my lips back to hers, in a much more passionate kiss than before. Just as the kiss begins to heat up, someone clears their throat and Erica and I reluctantly break apart to see Ethan leaning in the doorway.
"When you two are quite finished, the rest of us were about to sit down for 'Marchmas' dinner (we figured that having christmas in March needed it's own name and unfortunately none of us could think of a better name than 'Marchmas'), I took Erica's hand in mine and led her towards the kitchen, where a delightful aroma met us. We all sat around the large table as Sarah produces a huge turkey from the oven.
"How the hell did you even get that in there?" I question, with amazement.
"With great difficulty!" Sarah sighs as she slumps into her chair with a look of exhaust in her eyes. Rory then emerged with a tray, laden with plate full of trimmings.
"Well everyone, dig in!" Grandma announces as we all gaze longingly at the golden turkey that sits in front of us.
Erica's POV
I didn't think it was possible to eat that much in one sitting, I feel as stuffed as the turkey was. We practically crawl back to the living room, ready to receive our presents. I curl up on the sofa, resting my head on his shoulder while his arm is snaked, protectively around my waist. Ethan and Sarah occupy the arm chair by the fireplace as Sarah sits in Ethan's lap, Rory sits cross-legged on the floor near the tree, searching frantically for a gift with his name on it while Grandma Weir sits in a small, wooden rocking chair by the window, gazing out at the sunset. The gift-giving passes quickly and before I know it, we have reached the last present beneath the tree, which must be mine as I still have not received my gift from Benny.
"To Ethan, from the world's best spell master" Rory reads, lifting the parcel carefully before handing it to Ethan. Ethan shakes the package before cautiously lifting the lid to reveal a comic book.
"Benny, this is a first edition, hand drawn 'Galaxy Wars' graphic novel! Where did you find it?" Ethan gushes, excitement filling his voice.
"A magician never reveals his secrets" Benny grins. Great! He bought Ethan a first edition that must have cost a fortune and doesn't even remember to buy a gift for his girlfriend, who does that? I open my mouth, about to protest when Benny interrupts. "There is still one present left that wasn't under the tree...Erica, I hope you like it" he smiles, gently as he retrieves a small, wrapped box from a nearby plant pot and hands it to me. I tear into the paper to reveal an amazing, golden locket with a engraving on the back that reads 'you will always be in my heart', I open the locket to find a picture of Benny smiling back at me but the other slot left empty. "I thought that when she arrives, you could put one of her in there too" Benny sighs, contently.
"Benny, it's such a wonderful gift, thank you so much!" I begin to cry, stupid hormones!
"Well it's a beautiful locket for a beautiful girl" he whispers so only I can hear him.
"Okay, now I know I've fallen in love with you" I giggle, crashing my lips to his. I didn't think that it was possible to love someone this much but I seem to have proved myself wrong.
