Chapter 7 – Epilogue

Carts ran in front of them as Draco and Hermione calmly walked to the Platform 9 ¾ on the sunny morning of September 1st. Carts directed by their two children, Scorpius Hyperion was 13 and Lyra Theia was 11. As their family of four burst through the barrier that hid the magical platform from muggle eyesight, Hermione found and directed them to the Potter family. Harry and Ginny were also sending off two of their children, 12 year old James Sirius and 11 year old Albus Severus, and their one daughter who was only 9, Lily Luna. The adults greeted each other while Scorpius and James bickered about their rival houses, all in fun, while Lyra tried to assure Albus that he was unlikely to get into Slytherin like her older brother, but more likely Gryffindor with James. Hermione suspected that Lyra herself would get into Ravenclaw with the inherited brains of both her and Draco, co-heads of the now flourishing Magical and Muggle Cooperation department. Harry was a top healer and Ginny had retired from her position in the Holyhead Harpies to take care of her children, and would apply in the Games department at the Ministry when it was time for Lily Luna to head out for Hogwarts.

Draco grinned as he noticed Ron and Lavender heading over in the corner of his eye and he waved them, and their own two, over. Rose was 12 like James and also in Gryffindor, while Hugo was the same age as Lily and just as grumpy about not being able to go to Hogwarts. Ron was a favorite teacher there in his spot of DADA, while Lavender's fashion line was one of the most popular in the Wizarding World. The two ran to join their friends while the fourth and final family in their group made their way towards them. Neville and Luna had 3 children as well. Lorcan and Lysander were 14 year old twins, who took after their mother's strange demeanor and also ended up in Ravenclaw. Then there was 13 year old, quiet little Alice who ended up in Hufflepuff. Neville and Ron were probably tied for best teacher at Hogwarts, Neville being in his chosen field of Herbology while Luna studied magical animals, it was a favorite memory of all the friends when Luna had found and shown Hermione the existence in Nargles and Crumple-Horned Snorkacks. The disbelief on the witch's face was not something anyone would soon wish to forget.

With finally everyone there, the children old enough made their way to the Hogwarts Express, which whistled its warning. All 8 parents waved goodbye, though Ron and Neville would see them again in a few short hours. Lily and Hugo whined about not being able to go and Ron and Harry exchanged a grin at the remembered similarity between this and Ginny having whined when they had gone to school without her first year as the train sped off.

As it disappeared from sight, the friends made their way to the Burrow to join the Weasely family in the missing of their older children just like every year and to hoping none of them got in half as much trouble as their parents did at their ages. 19 years had passed since the end of the war and 18 since they had become as close as family, and no major threats made them fear for their children. All was well.

(A/N: Hope you enjoyed Snogwarts, it's a bit short but I originally only planned for it to be a one-shot. Until my next idea surfaces, thanks for reading! If you have any ideas for something you'd like next, I'm open to suggestions.)
