Hey, guys! Sorry this took so long, and sorry this chapter is kind of short! But, more to come, I promise. I'm working on it. *muttering under breath at slowness to update* This is sort of just what's going on on the team's side of things. Enjoy!

Varishi: Don't worry about BlueJay. And tell all of your friends thanks for their kind words. Hope you enjoy this chapter!

60secondstopain: I'm glad I've been able to make you empathize with my characters. I love characters you can connect with. If I kill them (TBD) I'm pretty sure I'd cry too. But I won't spoil anything, so read on!

Here you go! (I don't own YJ) Enjoy!

Kid Flash exhaled sharply in frustration, then radioed Batman. "This one's empty too," he reported with exasperation. "Keep looking," was the Dark Knight's reply. Kid Flash flinched inwardly, detecting the subtle edge to Batman's voice that was laced with grimness and desperation. Wally cut the communication and sped to the next cave.

The whole team was searching a ring of mountains in Appalachia, desperately hoping to find Robin and BlueJay. Right after Robin and BlueJay had been captured, the team had been shell-shocked. As the chopper flew away, Batman snapped out of it and threw a tracker, which immediately attached itself to the bottom of the helicopter. Then controlled chaos broke loose. Batman ran into the Academy, straight to his compressed Batcave of an office. The tracker's signal showed up on one of the many screens, flying farther and farther from the Academy. Once the copter finally stopped, Batman called the team in. "So, where are we going?" Wally demanded immediately.

"They stopped in a mountainous area in Kentucky..." "Great, let's go!" Wally said quickly, but Batman cut him off. "There is a problem. They stopped in a basin. A valley. A valley completely surrounded by mountains. So we have to be a bit more systematic. And very thorough. That means no busting in and out of places in a panicked hurry." Batman informed the team with a pointed look in Wally's direction.

So now, the team was searching the numerous caves in the handful of mountains that loomed above the valley. Everyone was anxious and on edge because of the excruciatingly slow pace they were searching. The team tried not to pay attention to the updates the Joker somehow sent them, letting them know that Robin and BlueJay would suffer a sick and twisted punishment. And that the Joker would then kill BlueJay. Wally tried to satisfy himself with searching every crevice at a normal pace, but he wanted so badly to speed his way to wherever the Joker was and save his best friend and BlueJay from the sick maniac.

Before it was too late.

Yeah, that was really short. But I'm nowhere near the end of this! I'll be uploading BlueJay's diary soon too, and I think I'll do that before I update more of this story, because it's kind of crucial as far as set-up goes. sorry I didn't set up/upload more sooner! PLEASE REVIEW SO I KNOW THIS IS BEING READ!
