Chapter 3: Shinrai to yūjō (Trust and Friendship)
Mount Justice January 8th 1432 hours
Ahsoka Tano trained alone in the Training Room of the Cave with her lightsabers. The rest of the Team had been called to help out in the Justice League in the Caribbean, and only she, M'gann, Robin and Artemis were left in the Cave. Ahsoka swung her lightsaber as she thought of Artemis especially. That girl always acts so tough! I'd like to see HER show some responsibility! Ahsoka thought to herself as she performed a Niman strike with her twin lightsabers.
Just then, someone came up from behind Ahsoka. The young Togrutan grunted as Artemis, in her suit, purposely bumped into her, causing the ex-Jedi to deactivate her lightsabers in the progress. Ahsoka grumbled as she saw Artemis stretch out her arms. "Augh, training time." The archer said to herself happily. Artemis started yelling and shouting as she began to perform a karate kata. Midway through, she stopped when she noticed Ahsoka looking to her deadpan. Ahsoka said nothing and went back to her lightsaber movements with her swords deactivated. Artemis hissed under her breath as she saw Ahsoka train.
She always thinks she's so SPECIAL! She took M'gann, Wally, she had this unbelievable power and weapon, and she is so full of herself! For once, I'd like to see HER show some responsibility! Artemis thought to herself as she stopped her kata. "You got a problem, Tail Head?" Artemis asked Ahsoka snippily. Ahsoka clipped her lightsaber hilt and placed her hands on her hips. "As a matter of fact, I do. It's only that I dislike arrogant, sixteen-year-old blonde slimeballs!" Ahsoka spat back. Angered, Artemis grabbed Ahsoka by her new collar and readied her arrow from her quiver, in which Ahsoka pulled out her shoto and aimed it at Artemis.
Luckily, M'gann had just walked into the room at the time to see how Ahsoka was doing. Her eyes widened with shock as she saw what was happening between her new friend and Artemis. Instantly, she ran towards the two. "Hey! Hey! Hey! HEY! Artemis, break it up! You too, Ahsoka! What did I tell you and the Team about killing each other?!" the young Martian scolded the two girls. Artemis chuckled and shrugged. "Come on, M'gann, we're just fooling around." Artemis lied toughly before asking Ahsoka with a deep tone, "Right?" Ahsoka only glared daggers at Artemis, in which Artemis did the same. Robin walked in at the time and saw what was happening as well. Instead of interfering, he only laid back on one of the chairs and watched with interest.
M'gann looked to both girls with much disapproval in her eyes. "The Cave's too small for this nonsense!" she scolded once again. "I want you two to shake hands, now!" M'gann demanded through gritted teeth. Ahsoka and Artemis snarled at each other as M'gann took a deep sigh. "Ahsoka, on Earth, it's a custom to show that there are no hard feelings between people." M'gann calmly explained to the fighters, both continuously glaring angrily at each other. M'gann took a step back and crossed her arms. "Come on, shake… hands, or I'll do it for you!" M'gann demanded dangerously. Artemis and Ahsoka continued to stare each other down as they both took a step back themselves. At that moment, the two shook their fists at each other, as if they were going to hit one another. M'gann's eyes began to widen as she saw what the two girls were doing. Robin, watching everything, started to laugh, but ceased when M'gann sent a glare to him. Miss Martian took a deep sigh as she stepped up to the two girls to grab their fists. "Not… like… that." M'gann exasperatingly stated.
Just then, Red Tornado walked in and looked at everything happening in the Training Room. "Team, the League has a mission of the upmost importance for you." The red android informed the four remaining Team members. The four looked to each other before walking off to Red Tornado. Before Ahsoka could leave, M'gann stopped her by placing a hand on her shoulder. Ahsoka turned around with a confused look on her face. "What's wrong, M'gann?" Ahsoka asked curiously. M'gann sighed and pulled her aside. Ahsoka gasped at this as M'gann pulled her into the corner of the room. "I don't like what you did to Artemis." M'gann scolded her curtly. Ahsoka stuttered quietly. "What she did?! She did it to me!" Ahsoka complained, but M'gann nodded her head in disapproval. "Artemis may seem difficult to be with, but you should at least give her a chance." The Martian female told Ahsoka. The Togrutan nodded and sighed. "All right, I guess I'll give it a try." She replied. M'gann smiled and walked with Ahsoka to rejoin the Team.
In the Mission Room, Red Tornado brought up a holocomputer and typed away. "While the Justice League and the rest of the Team are currently occupied in the Caribbean, Katana has sent this message to us from Japan." The android spoke. With that, Red Tornado brought up a message recording from sixteen minutes ago. On the screen was a Japanese girl with black hair and blue eyes. She wore a crimson suit with a golden shield chest plate and matching golden gauntlets with black gloves underneath. Crimson straps wrapped around her bare arms, and she wore a kimono. She also had a long katana sheathed on her back, indicating her name. "Konichiwa, Rīgu no Seigi. Ore ga Katana, Shitei A-0-Ichi. Kore wa dai-shukai de Nippon. Sono Kage no Rīgu to Ichizoku no Yakuza Shūshū shite iru. Nippon no Sentai kanshō suru koto o kyohi suru. Sugu ni anata no himitsu no Chīmu o okuru." Katana said frantically in Japanese. Artemis furrowed her brow in confusion. "What the devil is she saying?" the archer asked angrily. Ahsoka sighed and looked to the archer after taking a deep breath. "She's in trouble, and she requests that the Justice League sends us to Japan immediately." Ahsoka explained. Artemis and Robin raised their eyebrows in confusion, causing Ahsoka to sigh exasperatingly. "I understand over sixteen million forms of communication, and if you need a translator, then we can just use it." She explained. Miss Martian smiled as the message continued.
"Kuso ō! Dare ka ga kite iru! Sugu ni hyaku!" Katana pleaded before ending the transmission. The Team looked in shock at what was going on. Red Tornado broke their silence after two minutes and replayed the recording. The Team leaned in closer to listen to what Katana was saying, in English this time. "Hello, Justice League! This is Katana, designation A-0-1. There's a large gathering in Japan tonight. The League of Shadows and the Yakuza Clan are meeting here. The Japanese government and military refuse to interfere. Send your Covert Team immediately! Oh, dang, someone's coming! Come quickly!" Katana reiterated in English. The Team gasped once again as the transmission ended.
Red Tornado looked to the Team after shutting down the holocomputer. "This is a pure stealth mission. The four of you will leave to Japan and rendezvous with Katana at the sixteenth warehouse district. Robin is to be the Team leader." The red android ordered. As Artemis, M'gann and Robin nodded, Ahsoka looked quite confused. "With all due respect, Red Tornado, I'm new here, and I don't think that I am suited for a stealth mission. Everything is new to me." Ahsoka stated. M'gann looked over to Ahsoka and smiled. "I managed to fix up your old suit. It should fit your needs now." M'gann explained to the Ex-Jedi. Ahsoka smiled at her new Martian friend and followed her to M'gann's room. As soon as they left, Robin muttered a 'yes!' before calming himself down.
Ahsoka inspected her clothing carefully after putting it on. After about five minutes of looking at herself, Ahsoka was satisfied with the newly sewn combat suit M'gann had made. It was in a new state, and it looked good as new with its same shape. The only difference on it was that her gauntlet was equipped with a new button, one with the shape of the symbol on her Starfighter. Ahsoka smiled as she looked over to M'gann, who smiled back. "We should join the others now." M'gann stated after thirty seconds. Ahsoka nodded as the two alien girls went to join Robin and Artemis, both waiting for them at the Bioship.
Philippines Sea January 9th 1616 hours UTC
As the Bioship flew across the ocean to get to Japan, Ahsoka meditated the whole way. After hours of meditation, she opened her eyes and got up to stretch her body out. She could see that Artemis and Robin were sleeping, Robin listening to music from his holopad gauntlet and Artemis sleeping barefoot with all of her arrows out, the archer snoring loudly. Ahsoka sighed and looked to M'gann, who also had her eyes closed. Ahsoka walked in front of her and waved her arm. "Are you awake, M'gann?" Ahsoka asked curiously. M'gann nodded no. "I've been in deep meditation ever since we departed from Mount Justice. I take it you were meditating as well?" the Martian replied. Ahsoka smiled. "Yes, I was. We seem to have a lot of similarities." Ahsoka stated. M'gann finally opened her eyes and smiled back. "You may not have the powers of the Martians, but I do sense that you are indeed very powerful in some sort of supernatural way." M'gann exclaimed positively to her friend. Ahsoka chuckled. "I'd like to know how to be like you, like how to shapeshift." Ahsoka said back. M'gann giggled and replied back, "Consider it done."
Just then, M'gann noticed something up ahead. "We're here." Miss Martian exclaimed happily. At that moment, Artemis woke up and stuttered. "What's happening, are we there yet?" she asked. In the process of waking up, Artemis swung her feet to where Robin was sleeping. The Boy Wonder inhaled for ten seconds, and then gasped and woke up. He turned off his holopad and shot a glare to the archer, who seemed to cackle at Robin's sudden reaction. "Put your dirty feet back wherever they came from!" Robin yelled annoyingly. Artemis laughed even more as she went to get her shoes. "What's your problem, Bird Boy? Did you enjoy that?" Artemis asked snippily. Robin nodded no, in which Artemis chuckled. She had already placed her right foot back into her shoe, but before she could do the same with her left foot, she extended the foot instead to Robin. Ahsoka sighed angrily and reached out to the Force. She put Artemis in shock as she made the archer place her foot back into her shoe. Ahsoka chuckled as she used the Force again to strap her shoes back into place. Artemis groaned and looked over to Ahsoka angrily. "Can't you take a joke?" she asked annoyingly. Ahsoka groaned and stomped over to Artemis. "Can't you take things seriously?" she snapped back.
Robin sighed with relief as he reactivated his holopad on his gauntlet. "Our landing area is close by. Stealth mode." He ordered the Team. Immediately, Miss Martian shifted her clothing to become slightly darker, as Artemis pressed the arrow emblem on her shirt, causing the green to turn dark. Ahsoka looked to the new installation onto her suit and pressed it like she saw the others do with theirs. As soon as she pressed her new button, her Jedi attire turned from crimson to black, surprising the Jedi. M'gann patted her on the shoulder as M'gann was still in shock from the Stealth Mode feature. "You'll learn to get used to it." The young Martian reassured Ahsoka, who smiled and chuckled.

M'gann landed the Bioship outside of the Bandai headquarters, which was somewhat close to where Katana wanted to meet them. Ahsoka and the rest of the Team walked out. The young Jedi gazed her eyes from the statues of Kamen Rider Ichigou and AkaRanger to the large and massive buildings close by. "This is one small city!" Ahsoka exclaimed. Artemis turned back to her and scoffed. "Japan has the largest architecture ever, Tano." She stated to Ahsoka. Ahsoka only nodded in disagreement. "From where I come from, there are temples and buildings much larger than this place." The Togrutan stated. Artemis groaned as she walked on.
Five minutes later, the Team reached Warehouse 16 at the Docks. "Katana should be in here." Robin informed the girls. The quartet soon entered the warehouse and looked around. Artemis had a flashlight on while Robin was using his own light to navigate himself. Ahsoka activated her lightsaber shoto in its reverse Shien position as the Team began to look for the ninja girl.
As the Team continued to look around, Artemis heard a muffled cry. "It's Katana!" the archer exclaimed. Artemis walked behind Artemis to find Katana as the two alien females followed. As they turned a corner, Robin could hear the gagged girl's cries become louder. Artemis slowly shimmied to a large crate and quickly uncovered a cloth. "We're here to save you!" Artemis yelled. Her eyes then widened with surprise as she saw some sort of doppelganger of Katana with a recorder in her hands. "Welcome to the graveyard, Yarō-tachi." The woman greeted to the Team.
At that moment, all of the light flickered on as the Team gaped to see what was going on. They were surrounded! There, all around them stood thousands of Yakuza ninja with katanas drawn, Shadow Assassins with swords drawn, and leading Shadow members Sportsmaster, Black Spider, Hook, and Professor Ojo. "That trap actually worked!" Black Spider stated. Sportsmaster scoffed and looked down to see Ahsoka. "Who are you, another alien? You're weak! Be gone, kid!" Sportsmaster retorted to the young Jedi. "Do weaklings carry these?" Ahsoka snapped back, activating her lightsaber and pointing it to Lawrence. Artemis tensed at this. "I'm a powerful warrior, a Jedi Knight!" Ahsoka added on. Just then, the head of the Yakuza stepped up. From head to toe in a purple and golden ninja gi, the name of him echoed throughout the warehouse as he entered with his katana, the Ouja in his left hand. Artemis started him down. "Asakura Takeshi." She identified the head of the Yakuza clan. Takeshi chuckled and looked to his sword. "I'm vexed, more than I ever have been." Asakura stated. Ahsoka growled as he pointed his blade to the Team. "Kill the children and bring me their heads on spears." Asakura ordered gorily and sadistically.
The ninja and assassins started to close in on the Team at that moment. "We can fight our way out!" Ahsoka yelled, but Artemis nodded in disagreement. "No! We're outnumbered too many! We'll never make it out with our lives!" the archer remarked skeptically. Ahsoka ignored this and Force-pushed two ninja away from the group, sending them into some crates. Sportsmaster and Hook jumped down and unsheathed their weapons. "Surrender or die, Sidekicks!" Sportsmaster demanded. Artemis shot an arrow at her father and then swung her bow at Black Spider. "Thanks a lot, Ahsoka!" Artemis yelled sarcastically. Ahsoka growled and tossed her lightsaber at thirteen more assassins. The emerald blade nearly hit Artemis, who turned to Ahsoka and growled. "You! You did that was on purpose!" the archer yelled accusingly to the Jedi Apprentice. Ahsoka groaned and regained her lightsaber. "Me?! You're the lousy shot!" the Jedi snapped back.
Miss Martian telekinetically threw some of the Yakuza out of the window and looked down to the ground. She gasped when she saw the heated argument go on between Ahsoka and Artemis. The young Martian female groaned in exhaustion, as she was still tired of the two girls' constant bickering. "You two, stop right now!" M'gann yelled, but she was grabbed by Hook.
Robin threw a couple of birdarangs at multiple enemies before regrouping with the two girls. "Let's focus on killing these guys first, and then you can get whelmed and start killing each other later!" he yelled to the two fighters. Before Ahsoka could respond, she heard Robin being gagged. Asakura had used knockout gas on him, causing him to lose consciousness. "Nowhere to run, ladies. It's a dead end." Takeshi quipped as he cracked his neck.
Ahsoka and Artemis stood back to back as more Yakuza ninja and Shadow Assassins closed in on them. Artemis turned to Ahsoka and smirked. "What now, Jedi Knight?" she asked snippily. Ahsoka mumbled a curse to herself before gasping. "That's it!" she exclaimed with enlightenment. Artemis raised an eyebrow as Ahsoka handed the archer her activated shoto. "Carve a 180 degree arc into the ground on your end, and I'll do the same!" Ahsoka instructed. Artemis muttered something to herself as she began to cut away. Sportsmaster and the rest of the soldiers stood back as the two carved a large hole into the ground. The two girls yelled as they fell through the floor. "Follow them!" Asakura ordered angrily. Eight ninja and three Shadow Assassins dove into the ground as Takeshi walked with the Shadow Operatives. "You never told me about that new girl." Asakura scolded Sportsmaster. Crusher nodded his head in disagreement and sighed. "I don't know anything about her, honest." The brute man spoke. Professor Ojo spoke up next. "I will have to inform the Light about this new situation." He stated. With that, the Shadows and Yakuza tied up Robin and Miss Martian and placed them on the head railing.
Tokyo Japan 1813 hours UTC
Ahsoka and Artemis ran threw the sewers of Tokyo as fast as they could. As they were running, Artemis looked over to the Ex-Jedi. "You know, that was a pretty good idea that you had back there." She complimented the Togrutan. Ahsoka chuckled. "You're not so bad yourself, Archangel." Ahsoka quipped back, in which Artemis could only chuckle. Their laughing stopped when they heard the sounds of shurikens being thrown and the yelling of countless assassins following them. "We seriously need to lose these guys!" Ahsoka exclaimed. Artemis scoffed and unsheathed an arrow from her quiver. "Let's disappear into the shadows, then." Artemis quipped. Ahsoka chuckled as they ran under a sewer lid. Artemis turned around and threw her arrow down to the ground. Smoke emitted from it and the pursuers began to cough. When the smoke cleared, Black Spider growled and stabbed one of the ninja. The two girls were gone! "Retreat back to Hiroshima." Black Spider ordered angrily. The large group of mercenaries nodded and started to leave back to their warehouse.
Up from above, the two girls looked down and giggled. "They fell for it!" Artemis whispered to Ahsoka. Ahsoka smiled and the two started to walk throughout the streets. While they were walking, Ahsoka couldn't help but ask what was on her mind for some time now. "Back in the fight, I notice that you wouldn't let me put some damage on Sportsmaster. Why is that?" the Togrutan Jedi asked curiously. Artemis sighed and chuckled. "Sportsmaster is my father. In fact, I come from a long line of assassins in my family." The archer explained. Ahsoka nodded as Artemis went on after seeing her understanding. "Ever since I was a child, I was trained for stealth and assassin combat. I know it's not normal for you." Artemis went on. Ahsoka nodded no and turned to Artemis. "That's not exactly true. At the age of six, a Jedi Master by the name of Plo Koon found me and took me into the Jedi Order for training. I started field combat experience with my new master during the great war." Ahsoka explained, in which Artemis raised an eyebrow. "Why wasn't Earth involved in this war?" she asked. Ahsoka sighed and shrugged. "I honestly have no idea. The Clone Wars spread throughout the known universe, and this is the first time I have ever been on or ever heard of Earth." Ahsoka honestly explained. Artemis nodded as the two continued to talk.
Over their long walk and conversation, the two found very much in common with each other. Ahsoka could relate Artemis to Asajj Ventress, as they were both assassins but turned good in the end. Artemis could relate Ahsoka to herself and Red Arrow, as they were both stubborn and left their cause for personal agendas. After a while, Ahsoka and Artemis started to break out in laughter. "You used to be the snip, as in, nicknamed 'Snips'? I thought you were all self-centered and carefree!" Artemis exclaimed with tears of happiness. Ahsoka chuckled as she looked to Artemis. "Forget about me! I had no idea that you were such a softie!" Ahsoka snapped back jokingly. The two laughed themselves out until the need to catch their breaths was needed. They chuckled softly and sighed, patting each other on the shoulders.
Just then, the two heard a clattering come from a nearby warehouse. Ahsoka looked to Artemis, who nodded, and Ahsoka did the same. The Ex-Jedi unsheathed a lightsaber hilt as the archer unsheathed a stolen tachi from one of the ninja from her quiver, as well as her spare crossbow. The two snuck into the building with Ahsoka leading. As the two were tiptoeing into the facility, Ahsoka activated her lightsaber blade and pointed it to an open door. "Alright, you in there! Come out with your hands up!" Ahsoka ordered. Artemis snickered as she added on, "Reach for the skies!" At that moment, a little girl in a red kimono and golden strappings came out. She had a crimson mask on her face as the two lowered their weapons in embarrassment. "Omae ga… Katana?" Ahsoka asked fluently in Japanese. The girl smiled and nodded.
Artemis widened her eyes as she glared upon the samurai. "I thought you were dead!" the archer exclaimed. Katana chuckled and closed the door to her dojo. "The Yakuza also thought that I was dead." Katana stated to the two foreigners before continuing. "But with the art of deception, I was able to convince them of my death and took refuge here in Tokyo, where I trained harder to take down the criminal underworld of all of Japan." Ahsoka grinned and looked to Tatsu with interest. "My master performed the same technique, and when the right time came, he struck at his enemies and foiled their criminal plan." Ahsoka alluded to her former Master Kenobi. Artemis grinned in impression at Ahsoka's story. "It's sure a good thing that we found you." Artemis stated. Tatsu smiled, but frowned when she looked to see that Ahsoka and Artemis were the only ones there. "Where is the rest of your Team?" Tatsu Yamashiro asked concernedly. Ahsoka sighed sadly and looked to her with much disappointment. "Miss Martian and Robin were captured. We'd go rescue them, but the Yakuza and Shadows are waiting for us." The Togrutan explained. Artemis sighed sadly at the thoughts of multiple outcomes of a possible suicide rescue mission.
Katana groaned and looked up at them with a disapproved look on her face. "Mou! Who are you, and what have you done with the brave and noble Team I have always heard about?!" she asked angrily. Artemis stood aback by this as Katana unsheathed her sword. "Get a grip, ladies!" Katana scolded the girls. Artemis looked to Ahsoka and the two girls nodded at each other. "She's right." Artemis stated. Katana smiled and turned around to slash her sword at the wall. Once she cut away at the wall, the layer fell down and a perfect hole was made. She grinned as she looked back to the Ex-Jedi and the archer. "Yoroshiku yuuki, get some courage! Ikou!" Katana told the girls in a Japanese tongue. The two girls smiled and cocked their weapons. "Let's go!" Ahsoka quipped.
Meanwhile, Professor Ojo and Sportsmaster were talking with the Light. All seven members of the Light from Vandal Savage to Ocean Master were looking at the assassins with serious and concerned looks. "What seems to be the problem, associates?" Lex Luthor asked with a concerned tone in his voice. Sportsmaster spoke up first. "The Team seems to have a new member, and a powerful one at that." Crusher retorted. Vandal Savage narrowed his eyes at the two and tensely ordered, "Explain." Professor Ojo stepped up to speak. "She seems to have telekinesis on a grand scale, the ability to perform bladed combat with anyone, and she claims to be a great warrior." The professor stated. Klarion cackled. "There can be no one who can be more powerful than me!" he stated in his usual bratty tone while caressing Teekl. Ignoring Klarion's attitude, Queen Bee spoke next. "Find out what you can about her and report to us everything." She ordered. The two assassins bowed as the Light's meeting was adjourned.
At the same time, Ahsoka led Artemis and Katana to the same warehouse where Robin and M'gann were captured. "The clans should be in here." Ahsoka whispered. Katana nodded as she flipped into the air and landed near the top window. The others followed as Artemis had her bow and arrow ready with Ahsoka having her lightsaber in hand. Katana unsheathed a shuriken and silently carved a hole into the window. "Let's go!" Artemis said silently. Before she could enter, Ahsoka grabbed her. "Wait, look down there." The Jedi abruptly ordered, as she pointed her finger to the Yakuza Clan. Her eyes widened with surprise as she could see the right hand, Karai, was talking to someone using a familiar-looking holo-transmitter. The archer looked to Ahsoka with confusion. "What is it?" Artemis asked curiously. Ahsoka just sighed and turned back to the archer. "They're using holo-transmitters, holographic devices used for communication back where I come from." She explained. Artemis nodded and took out a camera. Katana double-took her and widened her eyes. "What are you doing?!" she silently asked with concern. Artemis chuckled softly as she looked to her two companions. "We can stir up a hornet's nest if we show the League of Shadows that they're now being betrayed. It's a win for the Team!" the archer explained. Ahsoka and Tatsu nodded with sinister looks on their faces as they listened in on what was happening down there.
Karai chuckled sinisterly as she spoke to the unknown man. "Master, we have the Light in our thrall, just as you ordered, and we promise under the name of the Yakuza Clan, that we will bring you all the information that you shall require." The Kunoichi promised to the anonymous man. The man in the hologram growled and spoke in a deep voice. "You'd better not fail me, Karai. I invested a great deal to ensure your clan's survival. I expect a return in that investment… soon." The man dangerously warned. Karai nodded as the hologram fizzed away. Karai sighed and looked back to her ninja soldiers. "Tell Asakura that the ORDER is losing patience. We need to act soon." Karai ordered curtly. The ninja silently nodded and all walked to give the new information to Asakura.
Ahsoka looked to Artemis and nodded. "I think that we can take down both parties without even having to fight them!" Ahsoka exclaimed silently. Artemis and Katana giggled and nodded in agreement. As soon as Artemis made sure she had recorded everything, the trio left to find their friends.
Somewhere nearby in the next warehouse, Hook continuously and endlessly guarded the two prisoners, Robin and Miss Martian. As he watched over them, he suddenly heard a clatter come from behind him. "Huh, who's there?" Hook demanded as he turned around and aiming his gauntlet everywhere. Hook started to pant as he heard sudden whooshes and giggles. "I-I-I-I-I-I-I'm not afraid of you!" he started stammering. The giggles started to get even louder and even began to echo throughout the room. Hook started to pant as he backed away. As he started reversing, he bumped into something. Hook gulped and turned around. Ahsoka stood in the darkness, her silhouette remaining. "Who are you?!" Hook asked nervously. Ahsoka chuckled as she activated her lightsaber in front of her face. "BOO!" Ahsoka yelled. Hook couldn't take it anymore. He screamed like Wally when he was scared and ran off.
Robin and M'gann awoke at that moment and saw what had happened. "Ahsoka, is that you?" M'gann asked while rubbing her head. The sounds of more giggling came out as Artemis and Katana revealed themselves from the shadows. Robin shivered as he heard the two taunting laughs. The archer and the samurai came out of their places as Ahsoka walked over to the two prisoners. "We're busting you out of here." Ahsoka exclaimed. M'gann smiled at her sister-like friend, in which the Togrutan did the same.
"That won't be happening anytime soon." Sportsmaster's voice drawled out from behind the six. Ahsoka and the others chuckled even more as the lights turned on. "Hello, Lawrence." Ahsoka snippily replied. Sportsmaster scoffed under his mask as the rest of the Shadows arrived. The Yakuza Clan followed shortly afterwards. Asakura laughed with madness as he pointed his Ouja at the heroes. "Surrender now, kiddies, or else save yourself the spanking." Takeshi quipped to the heroes. Ahsoka, Artemis and Katana looked to each other and smirked. Ahsoka walked up and shrugged. "Okay, we surrender." The Jedi submitted. Robin's eyes widened with shock as he ran up to her. "Don't listen to her! She's crazy!" the Boy Wonder yelled out. He looked to Ahsoka with a concerned and disapproving look on his face. "What are you doing?!" he demanded silently. Ahsoka scoffed and pushed him aside. "Before we die, we'd like to make one last wish, as a sign of honor before dignity." Tano added on. Asakura sighed. "As honorable ninja, we accept. State your final wish before I rip out your hearts!" he demanded gorily. Artemis chuckled and took out her camera. "We wish for everyone to see this." She stated, activating the recording. Everyone's eyes widened when they saw the gambit of the Yakuza.
Sportsmaster growled as he threw his ball and chain at one of the ninja. "BURY THEM!" he angrily ordered. Karai snarled as she tossed a sword at one of the Shadow Assassin's chests. "IKE!" she demanded in Japanese. The two factions started to fight each other practically to the death as Ahsoka and Artemis grinned at each other. "Let's ge before they decide a winner!" M'gann telepathically told the Team and Katana. They all nodded and left without a single notice.
The Team started to laugh themselves out as they flew in the Bioship. Katana stood up after catching her breath and looked to Ahsoka and Artemis. "I am most impressed by your skills, heroes." She stated to the Team. They all grinned as Katana smiled. "I am forever in your debt, and I will always be in contact." She added on. Ahsoka and M'gann both sent warm smiles to Tatsu. "We'll see you another time, Katana. Saraba." M'gann fluently spoke in Japanese. The samurai smiled as they let her off at her dojo before setting off back to Mount Justice.
Happy Harbor January 9th 1432 hours
M'gann entered the Bioship back into Happy Harbor as she happily looked to the Team. Her smile increased when she saw that Ahsoka and Artemis were finally getting along. "How did you two Snip Sisters manage?" she asked snippily herself. Artemis and Ahsoka both smiled. "Let's just say that we have a lot in common." Ahsoka stated. Robin chuckled. "In other words, you're feeling the aster!" he wisecracked. Ahsoka scoffed and raised an eyebrow. "I have no idea what that means, but Artemis and I are off to a new start." Ahsoka replied back. All the girls started to laugh as Robin hid his head away in embarrassment.
Bialya 1712 hours
At a hidden base in the country of Bialya, men and women typed away at computers and scientists worked day and night without rest. A man walked through the halls as he entered the Medical Room. Inside were Asakura and Karai. "I am very disappointed that you failed to use the Light to our advantage." The headman stated with disgust. Karai groaned as she was having a dagger being removed from her side. "It… won't happen again." She promised weakly. Asakura chuckled as he clenched onto his waist with a bleeding hand. "I give you our word, Sylas." Takeshi stated. The man, now known as Sylas, chuckled sinisterly and left the room. The last thing anyone could hear from the outside was the yells of pain from the two ninja.
