Hello once again, my faithful readers! That's right! This is SuperHeroTimeFan speaking, and I am BACK, oh yeah! Before I start my new chapter, I would like to thank everyone, such as Logan GC, The Christian Jedi, KrautYank, JacklyinKarst, RozenMaiden7, Ocnarf, Prosper7593 and many of the Guest reviewers for liking my story so much. Thank you all! Now, as usual, I shall answer everyone's questions before starting my new chapter of Path of the Padawan. RozenMaiden7, you are curious about Sylas. He is not a fanon character, he is an OC made up by me, and he is head of ORDER, the new evil organization that I've included so far. Ocnarf, I am not sure of a child for Ahsoka and Lux. Chapter 8: Strange Relations

Barriss Offee watched various battles of the Justice League in her own personal quarters. She was not starting to like the looks of the so-called mighty Justice League. "These are not heroes. They are only the dangerous parodies of the destruction of humanity. The Justice League is no better than the Jedi Order. They must be stopped, Sylas." Barriss stated, turning her eyes behind her, where Sylas was standing. Sylas smirked evilly. "I'm so glad you agree, Barriss." Sylas retorted. "We need as many allies as it takes in order to take down the Justice League so that the evolution of humanity to godhood may commence." Sylas added on. Barriss turned around and smirked. "Is this my new life?" she asked sinisterly. Sylas slasher-smiled at Barriss and nodded, causing Barriss to chuckle. "I choose a new name to accept the restart of my life. I am now Black Widow." Barriss stated. Sylas chuckled. "Welcome to ORDER, Black Widow." Sylas replied. The two smirked as Sylas offered her a tour of the ORDER HQ.
"Even though you have renewed your life, you still must follow our commands." Sylas said as the two walked down the halls. Barriss looked at many of the operatives from Black Spider to Sinestro to Striker. "What do you have in mind, Sylas?" Barriss asked curiously. Sylas chuckled. "We need you to go undercover at an academy to find out the operations of a Covert Team working for the Justice League. The Team consists of the following: Kaldur'ahm aka Aqualad, Richard Grayson aka Robin, Wally West aka Kid Flash, Connor Kent aka Superboy, Megan Morse alias Miss Martian, Artemis Crock alias Artemis, Zatanna Zatara alias Zatanna, and Raquel Ervin alias Rocket." Sylas explained. Barriss and Sylas stopped walking and Barriss started to glare to the headman. "Where are you getting at, telling me all of this?" Barriss questioned.
Sylas chuckled. "A couple years ago, the Russian government sent a satellite into Earth's orbit called Sputnik. I was part of that project. The satellite was meant to locate every person on Earth-16. When it was turned down, I stole the plans for making such a device and located the Team under their identities. I assign you to be enrolled at the very school the Team goes to." Sylas explained further on. Barriss chuckled. "I'll do anything it takes to get the job done." She stated. Sylas let out a Kubrick glare and smiled.
Later on, Barriss was laid down with her eyes closed on an operating table. "This facial surgery is necessary for you to maintain cover in your undercover mission at Happy Harbor High." Sylas explained as a large light hovered over Barriss' face. "This operation will be highly dangerous, as a fair warning. Are you certain you are prepared for this?" Sylas asked one last time. Barriss sighed and nodded. "I'm ready." She said nervously. Sylas turned around and nodded. "Begin the operation." The organization leader ordered as he left the room. The last thing he in the operation room saw was Dr. Prospect leveling a surgical knife to Barriss' face, and the last thing he heard from the room was the sound of Barriss screaming in pain. "MAKE IT STOOPPP!" Barriss yelled through held-back tears. Sylas sighed internally as Barriss began to sob and scream even more. Lights started to flicker in the room until they finally went out.
Coruscant, Jedi Temple…
Anakin looked to the Holding Facility Enforcement Battalion angrily, alongside Luminara Unduli. "How could you let Barriss escape?!" he questioned Gregor and his Clones. Gregor sighed and nodded sadly. "There was a man, he had the powers of the Force, and he could manipulate fire. He was unstoppable." Gregor explained. Luminara stepped up before Anakin could yell at them. "Do you have footage showing who the man was?" she asked. Fives nodded no. "He wiped our systems clean, and he was just so fast. We couldn't get the chance to get a clear look at him. We do know that he had scars across his face." Fives reported.
Anakin and Luminara nodded and walked away. "We need to be on high alert for this man, wherever he is." Anakin remarked. Luminara nodded. Just then, Serra Keto walked over towards them. She had wraps around her body, indicating some sort of injury. "What happened to you, Serra?" Anakin asked anxiously. Serra sighed as she held her side. "His name was Sylas." Serra stated. Anakin grinned angrily as he walked away. "I will find you, Sylas!" Anakin yelled out.
Earth-16, Happy Harbor High January 21st 0713 hours
Ahsoka and Lux stood outside of the Happy Harbor High School in their own civilian attire nervously. The League told them that they had to enroll at school, but they were nervous that they wouldn't fit in so well. M'gann and Connor walked up to them and smiled from both sides of them. "We were nervous on our first day too. But once you learn to adjust to everything, everything will be fine, I promise." M'gann enthusiastically stated. Ahsoka smiled to the Martian while Lux and Connor grinned.
Before school started, Ahsoka and Lux went to the Principal's Office for their class schedules. Batman offered to fill out their ID with his own personal details, but Ahsoka and Lux declined. They created their own, much to the Dark Knight's chagrin. Ahsoka decided to go under the alias of Ashley Tanner, while Lux kept his name, not wanting to come up with something that might sound too strange. The two were sophomores to the High School. All of their classes were with Connor and M'gann, making them very happy. As soon as they left, none of them noticed that another student had entered the office.
Immediately when school started, Ahsoka and Lux went to their lockers, which were right across from Connor and Megan. "We have the same classes together!" Ahsoka exclaimed happily in a singsong voice. M'gann turned around and squealed happily, and all Connor could do was send a grin to Lux. As the two girls were celebrating, there was a sudden commotion going on in the hallways. All the students stopped heading to their classes and immediately dropped their jaws and books as they saw what appeared to be the most beautiful girl ever in the school. Ahsoka and Lux looked to M'gann and Connor as a girl with pale skin and black long hair walked down the halls. She wore a navy sweatshirt with a black tube-top underneath and dark brown jeans. Many of the boys dropped their jaws as the girl walked towards her class. Ahsoka looked to the new girl and gave a slight smile. The new girl returned the favor and smiled back, but sent a scowling look to Connor and M'gann. The Martian and Kryptonian shared confused looks with each other as the new girl giggled. "I'll be seeing all of you later." She announced in a British accent. The boys started to pant as Marvin White felt himself in need of running into the restroom, with an envious Wendy Harris glaring at Marvin first and then the new girl. The raven-headed girl just smirked and walked away. Ahsoka grinned and placed a hand on her hip. "She seems popular." Ashley stated. Megan nodded in agreement. Connor and Lux remained unfazed by the girl's appearance.
The first class the four were having was history with the homeroom teacher Snapper Carr. Snapper stood in front of the classroom and cleared his throat. "Welcome back, everyone. I hope that you all had excellent holidays." Mr. Carr announced, causing some chatter among the student body. "Before I begin my class, I'd like to introduce three new students to Happy Harbor High." Carr began again. Ahsoka and Lux's eyes widened with surprise as they looked over to M'gann and Connor. "I thought we were the only ones starting out at this school." Lux stated through the psychic link. "I don't know; maybe there was someone over Break." M'gann stated back. Before the conversation could go on, Snapper Carr took out a list. "Would Ashley Tanner, Lux Bonteri, and Braid Olsen please step up in front of the class?" the homeroom teacher asked. Ahsoka and Lux looked to each other as they walked up silently to the front of the large classroom. As the two stood by Lucas, the new girl joined them and gave her best smile. "You must be Braid." Ashley whispered. "And you must be Ashley." Braid whispered back. Lux looked over and smiled to Braid, but for some reason, she seemed to ignore him. Lux raised an eyebrow and wondered why. Only Ashley and Braid smiled at each other, but they head no idea who each other was. I've met the Martian and Kryptonian, but why is Senator Bonteri here? Braid thought to herself. I won't forget what I went through last night, Sylas. Braid mentally told herself again. Braid Olsen was indeed Barriss Offee!
Mount Justice 1512 hours
After school was done, Martian Manhunter, under the alias of John Jones, drove the four back to the Cave. The four discussed their entire day, how their classes went, how the other kids treated them and especially about the new girl, Braid. Ahsoka and Lux gave the first day of school a fair rate, seeing as how they were doing well in each class and how Braid befriended Ahsoka. "Still, even though Braid is nice, I can't help but notice something familiar about her." Ahsoka stated. The four shrugged it off as they entered Mount Justice through the Zeta Tubes. The rest of the Team was waiting for them as they were training already.
Black Canary looked to the four teens and smiled. "You got here just in time." She remarked to the teens. Ahsoka smiled as she and M'gann reverted into their true alien forms. "We're ready to get started." Ahsoka exclaimed. Black Canary smiled. Ahsoka and the rest of the group smiled back as they walked over to the training circle. Before any of them could start, Ahsoka looked around with confusion. "Where's Robin and Wally?" she asked. As if on cue, the speedster and Boy Wonder appeared from one of the Cave entrances with busy looks on their faces. "I don't know, Wally. This insignia is unknown even to me or Batman." Robin stated to his friend. The Team stopped fighting when they heard the conversation and decided to walk over to see what was happening.
Artemis and Ahsoka looked to each other before looking to Robin and Kid Flash. "What is it, Wally?" Ahsoka asked curiously. Wally sighed and showed the Team the strange badge he found. "This was from one of the soldiers we fought in Vlatava. It doesn't belong to the Shadows, so I'm trying to find out what it is, and which part owns it." The speedster explained. Aqualad walked over and leaned in to see the insignia. "It's a phoenix, a golden one." Kaldur explained. The Team started to ponder on who could use the phoenix as their insignia. "There's something strange going on around now." Connor remarked. "I could try to trace what group the insignia belongs to." Zatanna offered. Robin smiled. "If you can, then it would mean quite a lot." The Boy Wonder stated. Zatanna smiled at her boyfriend and took the insignia to her room.
After Zatanna left the room, M'gann nudged Connor at the chest and narrowed her eyes to the corner of the room. The Boy of Steel stood confused at first, but eventually followed to see what M'gann wanted. "What's going on, M'gann?" Connor asked her Martian girlfriend in confusion. M'gann sighed and looked to Ahsoka. "Ahsoka's just been so nice to everyone yet she feels so lonely at times too." The adolescent Martian explained. Connor furrowed his brow and looked from Ahsoka to M'gann. "So, what do you want me to do?" Superboy asked confusingly. "Let's take her somewhere, Lux as well, to a place we can all enjoy." Miss Martian explained furthermore. Connor sighed. "I don't know, M'gann. A lot of strange things have been happening, and I don't know if Ahsoka would want to get involved." Connor admitted. M'gann sighed and lightly punched him in the chest. "Take her to the Kent farm. I'm sure Clark would be happy to see you, even the Kents would like a visit from their grandson." M'gann urged him. Connor sighed and chuckled. "Okay, M'gann. I guess I can give it a try." The Boy of Steel stated. M'gann giggled and hugged her boyfriend with gratefulness. "Thank you!" she squealed silently. Connor held onto her and nodded happily.
Later on, Ahsoka was training with Lux in saber combat. The rest of the Team had gone out to do their own thing, and only Ahsoka, Lux, M'gann and Connor were the only ones left at Mount Justice. "I see that you're very good with the Darksaber." Ahsoka stated to Rebel. Lux only scoffed. "I've been trained to use all kinds of weapons, even those not within my own caliber." Lux explained. The two shared some good laughs as they continued to clash blades with each other. Just then, Connor and M'gann entered the room. The two were unnoticed by Lux and Ahsoka as M'gann nudged Connor. Connor chuckled as he cleared his throat while he was stepping up. The two heard this and turned to the Kryptonian clone. "Hey there, Ahsoka, Lux." Superboy greeted. The two smiled and nodded. "How's it going, Connor?" Ahsoka asked. Connor sighed. "It just seems that we've been always busy, so I just want to invite you guys to the Kent Farm in Smallville, my dad's hometown." Superboy said. Ahsoka and Lux smiled. "We'd be honored to come with you." Lux replied back. M'gann smiled to Superboy, in which he and the others smiled back.
Smallville 1600 hours
Superboy led his large group out of a phone booth Zeta Tube and into Smallville, Kansas. Ahsoka, Lux and M'gann looked around the city with awe and wonder. "Superman said that he'd be at the Kent Farm waiting for us." Connor explained to the group. Ahsoka chuckled. "Well, then, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Ahsoka exclaimed happily. The rest of the group chuckled as they all ran over to the Kent Farm to meet the Kent Family. Unbeknownst to any of them, a tornado and a large wildfire were starting to spread throughout the forest nearby and heading to Smallville.
At the Kent Farm, Clark was working with his cousin, Kara, on the farm equipment. Kara was a retired hero, originally known as Supergirl. "Be careful with the tractor, Kara." Clark said. Kara got down and chuckled as she placed a hand on her hip. "Clark, I told you before, I'll always be fine, so stop worrying about me." Kara reprimanded her older cousin. Clark sighed. "Sorry, Kara. It's just that my son is visiting soon, and–" Before Clark could even continue, Kara stopped him right there. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Did you and Lois already make out, as in, make 'make' out?!" Kara asked happily yet in surprise at the same time. Clark sighed and nodded no. "I told you not to bring up that subject." Clark scolded Kara. Kara smirked. "But you did have a son, right?" she asked. Clark sighed once again, only this time it was in exasperation. "Yes, I have a son. He looks just like me." Clark responded.
At that moment, a sly chuckling filled the barnyard, a certain chuckling that sounded like Clark's voice. "I never thought I'd have a cousin, Clark." Connor snippily stated as he turned the corner of the barn wall to look to his father. Kara turned to Connor and winked, in which Connor replied by smiling back to her. Ahsoka and the others came out from behind the wall and saw the Man of Steel. "This must be the real you, then." Ahsoka stated as she looked to the Man of Steel, without his suit for the very first time.
Clark cleared his throat. "Kara, this is my son, Connor." The Man of Steel introduced the two Kryptonians to each other. Connor and Kara smiled at each other before the Kryptonian female looked over to Ahsoka curiously. "I've never met you before." Kara exclaimed with awe. Ahsoka chuckled. "I am Ahsoka Tano, a Jedi and a newcomer to Earth." Ahsoka introduced herself. Kara walked up to her and the two started to shake hands. Lux cleared his throat. "I am Lux Bonteri, a Senator. It is an honor to meet another Kryptonian like you." Lux stated. Kara smiled and shook hands with him as well. Clark watched happily as Connor and his friends were starting to get along with his cousin. Just then, Jonathan and Martha Kent came out of the house and saw everything. "My son, it's nice of you to bring over some friends." John stated to his son. Clark smiled. "Ma, Pa, this is Connor Kent, my son." Clark said as he introduced his Earth Parents to Superboy. Connor smiled at them and walked up. "It's a pleasure to be meeting my grandparents." Connor stated. Ahsoka smiled as she and Lux started talking with M'gann and Kara.
"So, if you're Clark's cousin, do you also have superpowers?" M'gann asked Kara. The blonde chuckled and shrugged. "I used to be a lone wolf, but after everything that I had been through, I decided to retire." Supergirl stated. Connor scoffed and raised an eyebrow as he walked over. "Why would a Supergirl want to retire from an awesome job like being Clark's partner?" Connor asked. Kara gave an iffy gesture and a sigh. "It just seemed like I was spending more time fighting crime than spending time with my family." Kara explained, gaining some awes from the Team. Kara chuckled and nodded. "Yeah, ever since then, no one has ever called for Supergirl's help, and I was happy about that for once." Kara added on. The Team stood impressed by what Kara had gone through and all started to give the girl their compliments and praises.
Just then, Clark's phone rang. "Hold that thought, Ma." Clark politely said as he nodded to his Earth Mother. Clark opened up his cell and started to speak. "Batman, I'm busy." Clark started out. There was some mumbling going on from Batman's voice. "I'm with family. I'm sure that this can wait." Clark protested. Batman uttered something that started to sound like a demand. Clark jumped back in surprise, but soon recoiled, catching everyone else's attentions. Clark finally let out a sigh. "Alright, Bats, I'll be right there." Clark finally said. There was some sort of approval sound from Batman as the dial tone rung in Clark's ear.
Clark looked to the rest of his family and friends before jumping into the air and spinning in a red-and-blue tornado. When that was complete, Clark Kent was now Superman, the Man of Steel. "There's some League business to take care of. I'll be right back." Superman stated. With that, Superman sped away into the air. Connor and Kara smiled at their elder as he disappeared into the day sky to join the Justice League.
A while after Superman left, Ahsoka and the others were helping out on the farm. "You're quite good at this, Ahsoka." Martha complimented the Ex-Jedi as she cut at the cornfields with her lightsabers. Ahsoka turned around and smiled. Suddenly, there was a loud whir. The Team stopped what they were doing and looked over to see some sort of fire tornado heading towards Smallville. Connor and Kara gasped. "We need to get everyone out of there!" Kara proclaimed. Lux nodded. "I'll go with Supergirl! If the fire spreads here, then you all are the best line of defense!" Rebel stated. The gang nodded as Kara placed her left hand out in front of her and pressed on her watch. She then spread out her arms as she flew into the air and elegantly landed back on the ground, this time with her Supergirl uniform. Her uniform looked fairly similar to Superman's suit, but she had a red skirt with long crimson boots, making a more feminine design to the suit than the Superman suit. Kara looked over to Lux and nodded. "Let's go!" she yelled. Lux nodded as Kara flew by to pick up the Senator and fly into Smallville. "Don't try anything with my boyfriend!" Ahsoka yelled out.
As the two reached the fire tornado, Supergirl landed Lux on the ground, where he started to evacuate the scared citizens. "Get to a safe bunker, everyone!" Rebel yelled out. Supergirl prepared to blow the hellish tornado away until it happened. The tornado stopped and started to form into a large red meteor. "What the hell?!" Supergirl yelled. The meteor started to spin and rotate around as if it were looking for something. Lux used the Rocket Launchers to try to shoot it down, but to no avail. At that moment, the large meteor dashed away from Smallville and right to the Kent Family Farm. Lux gasped as he activated his ear com. "There's a large fire heading your way, Ahsoka!" Lux yelled. Supergirl flew down and looked to Rebel worryingly. "We need to head back!" Kara exclaimed. Lux nodded as Kara picked him up. "There's no argument there!" he replied back as the two sped back.
Ahsoka's eyes widened immediately as she heard what Lux had just reported to her. The three turned around and gasped to see the large ball of fire heading towards them. "INCOMING!" Connor yelled out. The Kents and the heroes scattered as the large ball of fire crashed into the ground. As Miss Martian was flying away, something caused her to stop. Superboy looked back with much anxiety. "M'gann!" he yelled, but M'gann was now clutching her head with her hands. Soon enough, the fire started to spread until the entire Kent Farm was surrounded by a ring of fire. Luckily, Rebel and Supergirl arrived just in time before the whole area was sealed off by the inferno.
The Team started to get up from the large impact. Many of them had gained small cuts and burns from the fire, but were still alive. "That was no incident." Ahsoka stated. Connor got up and quickly pounded his fist against his palm. "Someone was behind that Satan attack." The Boy of Steel deducted. Just then, as the four started to regroup, a sinister cackle came from the blazing fire. Superboy and Supergirl narrowed their eyes into the fire as they could see M'gann struggling to get up from the intensity of the flames. As Connor went to her aid, the Team looked in shock to see Brain, Monsier Mallah, Blockbuster and Psimon. "My, my, it has been quite a while, Superboy." The Brain stated in his French accent. Ahsoka activated her lightsabers quickly as she looked to the hard-hitters.
Psimon looked first to the downed Miss Martian in the hands of Superboy and then to Ahsoka Tano. "Psimon says you must've enjoyed our little Hell Show." Psimon stated in third-person. Ahsoka continued to glare at the villains. "Who are you?!" she asked angrily. Psimon chuckled and looked aside. "I am Psimon, strongest member of the Light. If you come in with us peacefully for examination, then you won't have to see your friends die, Ahsoka Tano." Psimon sinisterly remarked. Ahsoka grunted and charged head-on into the group. Lux and Supergirl followed as Superboy walked over with M'gann's unconscious body and placed it near Jonathan and Martha Kent. "Keep her safe." Connor softly ordered. The two Kents nodded as Superboy leapt back in to join the fray.
Supergirl started to fly and dodge attacks from Monsier Mallah as the gorilla started to swing wildly. Kara chuckled and flew in to land a punch. While that was going on, Rebel blocked various attacks the Brain was making. As soon as the Brain launched a rocket at the Senator, Lux turned back around to see another missile heading towards him. Lux chuckled as he leapt onto the projectile and twirled into the air. "Qui êtes vous?!" Brain exclaimed in French surprise. Rebel unsheathed both of his pistols and started to shoot continuously at the cybernetic being. Brain yelled in pain as he was endlessly fired upon. Finally, after two minutes had passed, Lux landed on the ground and crossed his blaster arms across his chest. Meanwhile, Connor joined in to fight against Blockbuster. He first attacked with a straight punch to the chest and then swirled into the air to perform a flying kick. Blockbuster groaned in pain as Superboy landed behind him and kicked him into the fire. "Burn!" Connor yelled darkly.
Meanwhile, Ahsoka battled against Psimon. As she attempted a slash to his face, Psimon grunted and brainblasted her. Ahsoka fell to the ground in pain as Psimon picked up one of her fallen shotos and activated it. "Psimon says 'I win, you lose'." Psimon remarked at the Togrutan. Ahsoka clutched her head in pain as she looked up to the psychic madman. Her eyes started to glow as she got up. Psimon began to stutter as Ahsoka started to near him. "You have a lot to learn about Jedi!" Ahsoka yelled. Psimon growled in anger and attempted to slash at the Ex-Jedi, but to everyone's shock, Ahsoka caught the blade! Ahsoka regained her shoto and jumped into the air to kick Psimon away. Psimon got up from the ground and tried to regain herself. "Darn you!" he yelled. Using all of the power he had left, Psimon unleashed a powerful psychic attack. Ahsoka stepped aside and dodged it, her eyes still glowing. She looked to a regaining M'gann, who smiled at her. Ahsoka smiled back and glared at Psimon. "As long as our hearts continue to beat, you will NEVER take me, or anyone else, down without a FIGHT!" Ahsoka yelled in fury. Ahsoka then encircled her arms around and used the Force to manipulate the fire. Psimon gasped as Ahsoka placed her arms back and formed a large, green sphere of energy. The fire began to form into the sphere as Ahsoka smirked. "THIS is the POWER OF THE FORCE!" Ahsoka yelled. Psimon braced for impact as Ahsoka lunged her fire at him. Psimon tried to create a psychic shield, but the blast was just too strong, and he was sent flying into the air. The Team watched in amazement as Psimon's glass barrier on his head cracked as Psimon landed painfully to the ground. Ahsoka regained herself as she blasted the fire into the air. She walked over to Psimon and panted. "That was for M'gann." She remarked. The psychic looked up to her before losing consciousness. Ahsoka panted as she looked up to see that Superman was returning. "Thank you, Daughter!" she exclaimed to herself.
Later on, the rest of the Justice League had arrived to take the heavy-hitters away. M'gann was still recovering, but she still had enough strength to walk over to Ahsoka and the rest of the Team. "You were great out there, Ahsoka!" M'gann praised the Togrutan. Ahsoka smiled at this and winked to Supergirl, who smiled back. "How did you pull off that awesome trick?" Connor asked as if it was the last thing he wanted to know before death. Ahsoka chuckled. "A while back, I was given the power of light from an angelic goddess. I've been growing more powerful ever since." Ahsoka explained. M'gann chuckled and placed her arm around her. "I'm so glad that you are with us now." The Martian female exclaimed. Ahsoka smiled as she looked over to Connor. "The way you put yourself before others is just like the personality of my master. I'm honored to fight with you." Ahsoka said. Connor smiled and patted Ahsoka on the shoulder. "I was wrong. You are the best friend anyone could ever ask for." The Boy of Steel proclaimed. Ahsoka chuckled happily with the rest of the Teens, knowing full well that everything was just right for that day.
