Hey there, everyone! It's me again! That's right! SuperHeroTimeFan is back with another new chapter of my best story, Path of the Padawan! I can't believe that I've actually been able to get this far in my new story! I'm so happy right now! It was all because of you that I was able to get this far. I can't thank you all enough! Now, seeing as there are no questions from the reviewers to answer, I guess that I'll start on my new chapter! Chapter 15: The Arrow Agenda
Manhattan New York February 16th 2200 hours
Icicle Junior, Killer Frost and the Terror Twins just couldn't care less about the situation they were in right now. They had just escaped from Belle Reve Penitentiary, and they've already gotten as far as New York. "We need to get far away from that prison if we want to live free lives!" Tuppence stated. "You don't have to tell me twice!" Killer Frost spat back. The four escapees ran into the middle of a path covered in arcs and continued to run.
Just then, they all stopped. In front of them, there was a dark-skinned man with a silver combat suit. He had a brown streak of hair on his bangs, silver gauntlets and grey armlets, a brown sash and a sword sheathed behind on his back. There was some sort of gun holstered at his side as he calmly walked up to them. "Don't look now." Saw started out, looking the four of them straight in the eye. Icicle Junior gulped as he and Tommy tried to go around the other way. Before they could run, a girl got in their way. She had pale skin, black hair and two braids hanging at the sides of her head, blue eyes and attire completely similar to the new hero's, Ahsoka's. She walked up to them and craned her neck downwards to the four villains. "But you're surrounded." Serra finished up. Killer Frost and Icicle Junior formed weapons out of ice and pointed them at the newcomers. Saw continued to walk up to them as he looked past the prisoners to Serra. "You wanna go first?" he asked, craning his neck. Tuppence and Icicle Junior turned around and raised their eyebrows at the rebel as Serra smiled and nodded. "Don't mind if I do." She quipped. With that, she unveiled her cloak to reveal two hidden lightsabers. She unsheathed one of the lightsabers and activated it. Saw chuckled and unsheathed his vibroblade.
At that moment, Serra Keto charged at the fray with her lightsaber activated. Saw charged in as well and started to attack Tommy Terror. As Tommy picked up a fallen crowbar, he clashed it with Saw. Being the left-handed fighter he is, Saw parried off Tommy's attack easily and chased after him. Serra took on Tuppence as she fought with one of Serra's emerald lightsabers. Tuppence clashed and clashed with Serra until Serra kicked her away. As much as the female Terror Twin tried to fight, she just couldn't keep up with Serra's movements. Saw, on the other hand, was starting to outmatch the brutish Terror Twin. Tommy was kicked into a pole as Saw brought his blade down onto him. Killer Frost started to aim an icicle at Serra. "I have you now!" she exclaimed to herself as she shot the icicle at her. Serra saw this coming and slashed the piece of ice in half while regaining her second lightsaber. She sheathed the secondary weapon back onto her belt as she charged to attack Killer Frost.
Meanwhile, Saw continued to battle against Tommy and Icicle Junior, who had just recently joined the battle. As Saw Gerrera clashed with the two, someone shot at the boy of ice, knocking him back. Saw was thrown back as well as he looked up to the rooftop of a nearby building. "Hey, nice shooting!" he yelled sarcastically to the sniper. Jaybo Hood, in his grey and brown garments, lowered his blaster pistol and looked down. "Sorry!" Jaybo yelled. Serra looked to the two boys and Force-Pushed Frost and Tuppence away while scoffing. "Boys, what can you do about them?" she asked. Killer Frost and Tuppence Terror looked to each other before attacking once again. Saw continued to push Tommy back as Serra continued to fight against the two villainesses. As Saw kicked away Tommy, he took out a shock grenade and prepared to throw it. Serra jumped over Killer Frost and Tuppence and looked over to Saw. He started to jump into the air to throw his grenade while Serra nodded and leapt backwards into the air to drill down her lightsabers at the two villainesses. Jaybo nodded and took out a rocket launcher. The four villains got together as Saw threw his grenade, Serra dove into them with a drill kick, and Jaybo shot at the latter all at the same time.
As soon as the four were unconscious, Saw placed stun cuffs onto them. Serra and Saw smiled as Jaybo placed his rocket launcher down onto the floor. "Nice work, fellas." Jaybo complimented the group. Saw sighed and looked up to him. "Is our transmitter functional?" Gerrera asked. Jaybo smiled and nodded. "Online and well in mind." He quipped. Serra looked to Saw and nodded. "Good job, now let's go find ourselves a Jedi." She stated. The three then got onto their speeders and drove off into the night just in time as the police soon arrived to take the escapees away.
Mount Justice February 17th 1206 hours
Ahsoka and Black Canary stood in the center of the training circle, circling each other and waiting for one of them to strike. At that moment, Black Canary struck with a strong push, but Ahsoka circled her arm around and had her hand pointing towards Black Canary's face. Dinah attempted to strike with her other arm, but Ahsoka circled her arm around the other as well, knocking her arm aside. Black Canary smirked and tried punching at Ahsoka again, but she dodged the attacks and twirled her aside. As they both passed each other, Ahsoka twirled her arms around and kicked high at Black Canary, in which the bird-themed heroine did the same, clashing their legs with each other in the process. Dinah jumped and tried to kick again, but Ahsoka swept aside and dodged the attack. As Black Canary jumped into the air to land a punch on Ahsoka, the Togrutan simply kicked her in the stomach and Canary was sent to the ground. Before she could hit, though, Dinah kicked herself up and once again jabbed at Ahsoka with her fist. As Ahsoka dodged it again, she grabbed her arm and put the training instructor in a lock. Dinah angrily threw off and tried to kick, but Ahsoka was able to catch her leg. "You're not bad, Ahsoka, not bad at all." Black Canary stated to the Ex-Jedi. Ahsoka chuckled as she threw off Dinah, who started to attack. Ashley was able to throw her arms around and locked her arm once again. As Dinah broke off and attempted to swing at the head, Ahsoka pushed her away. Dinah laughed as she threw herself into the Togrutan, sending them to the ground.
As the two were training, Red Arrow was walking down the hall with Green Arrow. "I don't know, Ollie. Artemis is gifted, but I don't really think she could be up to the task." Red Arrow debated. Oliver chuckled and placed a hand on the clone's shoulder. "I'm sure that she'll be glad to come along." Oliver Quinn argued. The cloned archer sighed as they both walked into the room. "I wonder what Dinah's teaching the Team today." Green Arrow wondered as they heard some fighting grunts come from the Training Room.
Ahsoka twirled her legs into the air as Dinah got up. Black Canary attempted to roundhouse kick Ahsoka, but she was wise to the trick and backed away. Dinah attempted another kick, but Ahsoka once again dodged it. As she jumped into the air, Black Canary jumped after her and they both twirled into the air in tandem. As soon as they landed, Dinah attempted to hit her from above, but Ahsoka threw her off, tripping in the process. Black Canary landed her foot onto Ahsoka, but the Ex-Jedi blocked it with her bare arms as she kicked at the right leg of Black Canary, tripping her and twirling her into the air, and then finally falling to the ground with a grunt. Ahsoka and Black Canary both panted as they got up. "No one's ever lasted that long in the ring with me before, Ahsoka, but you still have a lot to learn." Dinah stated. Ahsoka shrugged as Black Canary went to get a water bottle and a towel as she walked over to the showers.
Ahsoka chuckled and took a seat to rest herself. She sighed as she removed her boots and emptied out all the dirt. She chuckled once again as she put her boots back on. Just as she was relaxing, someone cleared their throat. "Hey there, Ahsoka." A voice said. Ahsoka just smiled and looked up. "If it isn't the green archer himself, Green Arrow, how's it going?" she remarked. Oliver chuckled and helped her get back up to her feet. Ahsoka kept smiling and then looked over to Red Arrow. "Red Arrow, I've certainly heard a lot about you." Ahsoka stated. Roy just scoffed. "As have I as well." The cloned archer simply responded. Ahsoka just laughed as she looked to Green Arrow. "How can I help you?" she asked. Ollie sighed and looked around. "We're looking for Artemis. There's a mission that Roy and I are about to go on, and we thought it'd be best if the three best archers went on a mission together." The emerald archer explained. Ahsoka thought for a minute while she walked around to get her gear.
"I think Artemis and the rest of the Team are on a mission. Apparently, I slept in and missed some mission briefing, and now, the Team is somewhere in England." Ahsoka informed. Red Arrow sighed and looked down to his feet. Ahsoka smiled and walked back up to the two Arrows. "Don't worry, whatever the mission is, I'm sure that I can be a proper substitute for the job." Ahsoka happily assured them. Roy looked up and immediately dashed forwards. "No, no, I will absolutely not!" Red Arrow snapped, much to Ollie and Ahsoka's surprise. "Why not, Red Arrow?" Ollie asked sternly to the clone.
Clone Roy scoffed and looked to Ahsoka with resentfulness. "From what I've heard about the so-called 'Great' Ahsoka Tano, she came out of nowhere and she holds way too much power to be one of the heroes." He retorted. Ahsoka glared at him as Roy scoffed once again. "Besides, she'd just slow us down." Red added on. Oliver sighed and looked to Ahsoka, mouthing "I'm sorry" to her. Ahsoka nodded and looked back to Red Arrow. "Let's put it to a vote, then." Oliver suggested. Roy scoffed once again. "I nominate Ahsoka Tano to come along with us on our mission on Artemis' place." Green Arrow stated. Ahsoka nodded as Roy groaned. "Fine, she can come along." Red Arrow drawled. Ahsoka smiled, but looked to Red Arrow with disgust. Ollie looked over to Ahsoka and chuckled. "It's going to be great, I promise you." Green Arrow stated. Ahsoka smiled at the older archer. "Besides, it's always great to have some extra company." Green Arrow added on.
Ahsoka looked to Red Arrow and lifted an eyebrow. "So, what is our mission?" she asked. Roy smirked and pulled up a holoscreen. "Doctor Edwin Floyd, clone expert researcher, has been spotted in the Rocky Mountains, the Canadian side, that is." Red Arrow explained. Ahsoka looked over to Green Arrow and lifted an eyebrow again. "Is this all what Red Arrow is trying to find, answers to where his original is?" Ahsoka asked. Oliver nodded as Ahsoka awed in understanding. "Doctor Floyd helped create me, so if we find him, then I might know some more clues as to where the original Speedy is." Roy concluded. Ahsoka nodded and smiled. "Okay, I'll be sure to do anything I can to help." She stated. The green archer smiled at her while the red one still scoffed with ridicule.
Canada 1318 hours
Ahsoka, Red Arrow and Green Arrow all headed into the Rocky Plains of Canada, looking for any signs of the doctor. Ahsoka looked around and sighed happily. "It just feels good to feel a change of temperature once in a while." She stated. Green Arrow chuckled and placed his hand on her shoulder. "Nature is a blessing, don't you think?" he asked. Ahsoka nodded yes and smiled. Red Arrow just scoffed and looked through his binoculars to see a ski resort up ahead. "Floyd should be somewhere nearby. Let's go." He ordered to the other two green heroes. Ahsoka rolled her eyes as they followed along, trudging through the snow. As they were walking, Ahsoka stopped and looked around. She swore she could have seen a white cat mask looking at them. Before Ahsoka could see what the mask was doing there, the mask and its wearer disappeared. Could that be Jade, Artemis' sister? Ahsoka asked herself curiously. Shrugging it off, Ahsoka ran after the two archers to catch up with them.
The rest of the walk was soon very silent. As Ahsoka walked up near Red Arrow, she let out a sigh. Wanting to end the silence, Ahsoka cleared her throat and looked up to Red Arrow. "So, how does it feel? You know, to be an awesome clone?" she asked. Red Arrow groaned and looked back to her. "Being a clone is so not awesome, so shut it!" he ordered. Ahsoka growled and looked to him angrily. "Listen here, Red Arrow, I know some good people who happen to be clones themselves!" Ahsoka spat, catching Red Arrow's interest. "They are soldiers, and they perform on their own despite the programming put into them from the original, so clones are awesome!" Ahsoka stated loudly. Red Arrow frowned slightly and looked down to his feet meekly. I can't believe it! Clones are actually good people where she comes from. Red Arrow thought to himself. "That's… good to know." Red Arrow calmly lied. Ahsoka smirked, somehow knowing he was lying.
Unbeknownst to the group, there was another party watching them. "Go and take the good doctor." Prowler instructed from the shadows. The woman in the shadows nodded and went down to retrieve Floyd.
Ahsoka led the two archers up to the entrance to the ski resort. "Let's keep going." She stated. Roy and Ollie nodded as they followed her. Once they were inside, Red Arrow pointed to the front desk. Green Arrow nodded and walked up to the manager. "Excuse me, sir." Green Arrow said politely. Charles looked up and gave a stern look. "What do you want?" he spat venomously. Oliver sighed. "We're looking for a man by the name of Edwin Floyd. Have you seen him in your estates?" Ollie asked. Charles looked up and then looked back down. "I have no idea who you're talking about." He stated. Ahsoka narrowed her eyes at him and walked over. Green Arrow looked to her confusingly and raised an eyebrow. "I can take care of this." He assured her, but Ahsoka just ignored this. She walked up to the manager and tapped him on the shoulder. Charles looked up again and grumbled. Ahsoka ignored this as well and waved her hand around. "You will tell us where Doctor Edwin Floyd is." She commanded through a Jedi mind trick. Roy raised an eyebrow as the manager's eyes widened. "I will tell you where Doctor Edwin Floyd is." He repeated. Oliver walked over to Red Arrow and nudged him in the chest. Ahsoka smiled and waved her hand once again. "Doctor Edwin Floyd is located in room 1138 on level 16. You should be able to find him there." Charles stated. Ahsoka smiled and patted him on the shoulder. "Thanks." She said.
As the three heroes ran up to the room, Roy looked to Ahsoka with wonder. "How did you do that?" he asked curiously. Ahsoka smirked and looked back to him. "The Force works in many ways, particularly on the weak-minded." Ahsoka explained. As they reached the eighth floor, Oliver raised his hand and panted exhaustedly. "Stop, I need to catch my breath." He stated. Roy and Ahsoka looked back to him and rolled their eyes. "We'll take the elevator." Ahsoka stated. Oliver smiled approvingly and winked to Ahsoka. "Why didn't you just do that before, Ollie?" Roy asked sarcastically.
After about three minutes, the elevator rung and the three ran out the door as they entered level 16. Ahsoka ran across and looked to every room. "He's in here!" she yelled to the two archers. Red and Green nodded as they ran after Ahsoka. As they entered the room, Ahsoka gasped at who was there. It was Catwoman! The feline villainess purred at them and blew the three a kiss. "I'll be taking the doctor for my appointment now, if you please." She quipped to them. Ahsoka growled as she and Red Arrow leapt after her. Catwoman just chuckled and jumped out of the window, breaking it in the process. Ahsoka looked to Red Arrow and nodded. "Let's go." Ahsoka stated. Roy grinned and chuckled. "I couldn't have said it better myself." He replied back. Ahsoka smiled, as well as Green Arrow. The three then jumped out of the window to follow Catwoman.
Catwoman jumped down with the helpless doctor onto a snowmobile, being operated by an ORDER operative. "Hit it!" Catwoman yelled, causing the driver to tread through the snow quickly. Ahsoka and Roy got down and noticed them getting away. "We need to follow them!" Red Arrow exclaimed. Ahsoka rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Gee, no kidding." She stated sarcastically. Ahsoka looked over to a fallen tree and Force-Pulled one of its tree barks towards her. Red Arrow lifted an eyebrow when he saw this. Ahsoka chuckled as she placed the stiff board onto the ground and jumped on it. "I've always wanted to try this!" she explained. Red Arrow scoffed as he ran to get another snowmobile. Ahsoka laughed as she soon slid down the hill on her snowboard. "Cowabunga!" she yelled before adding on, "I think." Red Arrow followed after her after Green Arrow jumped onto the back of the vehicle.
Ahsoka slid down the hill and started to notice Catwoman up ahead. Ahsoka laughed as she started to slide faster. Catwoman chuckled as she was soon near her rendezvous point. Just then, Ahsoka pulled over. Catwoman gasped as Ahsoka tossed some snow onto her. Ahsoka then jumped onto the snowmobile and threw off the driver, letting him scream. Ahsoka grinned to Catwoman and then threw her off as well. She then looked back to check on the doctor. "Doc Floyd, are you alright?" she asked. The doctor got up and rubbed his head. "Yes, but we need to get to safety soon!" Floyd stated loudly. Ahsoka gasped as she looked up ahead to see what Edwin was looking at. Up ahead were some more snowmobiles, and a tiltrotor helicopter carrying Prowler! The evil Artemis looked down and laughed. "Ahsoka Tano, what a surprise. I was expecting to slaughter Artemis today, but you'll do for a corpse instead!" Prowler yelled down to Ahsoka. Ahsoka looked up and growled. "We'll see about that!" she quipped. Prowler smirked as she jumped down with her bow below her feet. Ahsoka gasped and started to drive faster.
Prowler landed on her bow and started to slide around to catch up with the Ex-Jedi. Ahsoka looked back and stood on the controls. "Let's play!" she quipped to the evil archer. Prowler responded by shooting several arrows with her crossbow, but Ahsoka was able to slice them apart before they could even reach her or Edwin Floyd. Prowler then looked up ahead to see some pillars of icicles. She shot at them, causing the dagger-like tips to fall. Ahsoka looked up and used the Force to throw some at Prowler. The evil Artemis doppelganger gasped as she jumped over the icicles, landing on her still-sliding bow. Red Arrow and Green Arrow saw this and dashed ahead forwards. As Ahsoka drove into a trench, Prowler ran right over and jumped onto the snowmobile. Ahsoka growled and started to quickly deflect every shot. Prowler grinned and then lifted Doctor Floyd into the air, throwing him to the helicopter. "NO!" Ahsoka yelled. With that, she punched Prowler off of the snowmobile. Prowler screamed as she was thrown off, as her bow broke in the process. Ahsoka started to drive faster after the helicopter, but Prowler looked up. "Not without a fight." She stated to herself. With that, she shot an arrow at Ahsoka's engine. Ahsoka looked to the arrow and then gasped. Within seconds, the snowmobile blew up, throwing Ahsoka off. Red Arrow and Green Arrow soon got over as they saw Floyd being lifted into the air into the helicopter. "We need to stop them!" Ahsoka yelled.
As if on cue, a rocket hit the helicopter. Prowler gasped as she looked to the helicopter, now falling to the ground. Ahsoka jumped into the air and grabbed the doctor before he could reach the ground. As she was catching him, Ahsoka looked over to who shot the missile. Cheshire jumped out of hiding and sheathed her rocket launcher, looking over to the three heroes with her mask still on. Red Arrow looked over to her and smiled. "At least we got help." Roy told himself. Cheshire saluted and ran forwards to run up into the air and catch Ahsoka. Ahsoka grunted as she looked to Jade. "Thank you, Cheshire." She stated. Jade looked up and nodded.
Prowler got up from the ground and growled. She started to chuckle madly as she pointed one last arrow at Floyd. "First rule of combat: never leave the enemy with the spoils." She told herself. At that moment, she shot an arrow into Floyd's neck. Edwin gasped as he felt the poisoned arrow seep into his skin. Ahsoka looked over and growled. Prowler laughed as she ran to another snowmobile and drove away. Red Arrow and Green Arrow got there just in time as they saw Prowler getting away. The two archers then looked back to Ahsoka, who was looking down to her feet meekly. "I'm sorry. I've failed." She apologized sadly. Roy sighed and patted her on the shoulder. "It was never your fault." He stated. Ahsoka looked up sadly as they soon attended to the dying doctor. Red Arrow took out an antidote and gave it to Floyd. Edwin looked up and nodded no. "It's too late." He stated. Roy stopped moving and looked to the doctor. "What about Speedy, where is he?" Red Arrow asked. Edwin looked up and weakly nodded no as Cheshire and Ahsoka constrained him. "I may have been involved in the project to clone Roy Harper, but I was never told about his whereabouts. I was with ORDER at that time." Edwin confessed. Red Arrow looked down to him and gasped while panting heavily. "I defected from ORDER because I discovered their true goal." Edwin went on. "Save your breath, Doctor." Ahsoka eased. Edwin looked up and turned to Ahsoka. "They are working on a Jedi project. Sylas says he needs your caliber to help him accomplish godhood." Floyd stated. Ahsoka gasped as Cheshire turned to her in surprise. "I helped create the Terror Titans, but they tracked me to assassinate me due to my turning on them." Floyd went on. Ahsoka panted as she looked to him. "We're starting to lose him." She reported. Oliver and Roy looked down as Floyd held his hand up. "ORDER must be stopped… no matter what the cost." He breathed. The four looked down to the doctor as he finally closed his eyes and succumbed to death. The archers and the feline assassin looked down in sorrow as Ahsoka placed her arms together and prayed, "There is no death but the Force." The four were silent for that moment, and not a word came out.
As the four were walking away from the site after properly burying Doctor Edwin Floyd, Red Arrow looked to Ahsoka and sighed. "I'm sorry for being so arrogant before, and I just wanted to say… thank you." Red Arrow stated. Ahsoka smiled as Red Arrow smiled back. As he looked to her, he reached into his bag and looked to Ahsoka. "Please hold out your hand." He politely said. Ahsoka shrugged and held out her left arm. Roy smiled as he placed something onto the arm. Ahsoka looked and smiled to see what was placed: an arm-mounted scabbard, fitted right for her. Ahsoka looked up as Red Arrow and Green Arrow smiled. "We watched over some of your battles, and decided to give you this when it was the right time." Ollie explained. "When you place your lightsaber into it, an arrow will charge up with the saber's energy. It can be used for prime accuracy." Red Arrow added on. Ahsoka smiled and hugged Red Arrow. Roy stood in surprise for a while before hugging back. Cheshire watched the moment and scoffed. "You keep going, Ahsoka, and we just might cross paths sometime." Cheshire snippily commented. Ahsoka broke off and looked to Jade. "I'll be sure to see you again too, Jade Nguyen." Ahsoka stated. Cheshire smirked and placed her mask back on. "I'll disappear, like the Cheshire Cat." She quipped, backing away into the shadows. She blew a kiss to Red Arrow before leaving and finally went out of sight. Roy started to blush as Ahsoka and Ollie raised their eyebrows in amusement. This might have been a dark day for them, but at least all was well.
