Hey there, everyone, I'm back! That's right, SuperHeroTimeFan has returned and he has a new chapter of the best story I've ever made, Path of the Padawan! First off, I'd like to thank everyone who has ever supported me in doing this story. Give a round of applause for The Christian Jedi, Logan GC, who has just returned, JacklyinKarst, Flaming Dragon, KrautYank, Princess9903, Hylianodst, Robin Rani, RedtailHawk19, HighjackLuv, Witchsoul531, Ocnarf and all of the Guest reviewers for favoriting, following and liking my story so much. I don't think I could have done all of this without you. Now, as usual, let me answer everyone's questions before I start the new chapter. Ocnarf, I like your ideas and all, but there are going to be times when I just can't fit in everything. Robin Rani, I see that I have made errors, but it would be nice of you if you didn't try to rub it in my face, no offense. Now that I have answered everyone's questions, I'll move onto the new chapter. Please enjoy!
Chapter 20: Baywatch
Alcatraz Island March 6th 2157 hours
Queen Bee stood sadly in a cell as the ORDER watched over all of their prisoners. As Syrena walked by her cell, she scoffed. "Why don't you just kill me like you did to the KKK and the Nazis?!" she demanded. Alakshmi chuckled and leaned in closer to the cell. "You should be thanking me, Zazzala." Alakshmi quipped. "Even though our family was torn apart, you can at least be grateful that I decided to spare your miserable and imposing life instead of mass murder." Syrena added on. Zazzala looked up and growled as she ran to attack Alakshmi. At that moment, the cell bars zapped with electricity, electrocuting Queen Bee in the process. She screamed in pain loudly as she fell to the ground soon after with Alakshmi shaking her head sadistically. As Queen Bee looked to what had happened, Alakshmi started to laugh. "We made sure that the cells had some extra precautions following its shutdown. Now, no one can escape." She remarked. Queen Bee shook with nervousness as she continued to look out the window of her cell.
Unbeknownst to anyone, Sportsmaster and Deathstroke both came out of the water and looked around at their surroundings. "Once we get Queen Bee out, the ORDER will know better than to interfere with affairs of the Light." Crusher remarked, in which Deathstroke nodded. "That Terror Titan named Prowler will pay for hurting my daughter!" Slade stated. With that, the two jumped out of the water and onto the land of Alcatraz. As they snuck onto the island, the Terror Titans watched over them from the darkness. As the lightning struck and the thunder roared, the Terror Titans snuck off, laughing into the night. Crusher looked around and gulped. "ORDER is more experienced and more dangerous than we had anticipated." The sport-themed villain exclaimed. Deathstroke, who was never afraid of anything, for once nodded in nervousness. With that, they continued their liberation mission.
Mount Justice March 7th 1006 hours
At Mount Justice early the next day, Ahsoka and Serra came to the Training Room to try to improve on their skills. It had been at least half a week since Serra had learned her lesson from being too full of pride, and Ahsoka had forgiven her for that. As the two entered the training circle, Ahsoka extended her hand out forwards as her blue lightsaber fell into her right hand, followed by her original green one landing in her left. Serra looked to her and spread her arms out as her lightsabers floated around her first, and then fell into her hands. Simultaneously, the two Jedi activated their lightsabers and started to charge at each other.
Meanwhile, the Team was just coming back from a visit to the Watchtower. Lux, Saw and Jaybo all waited for them as they came out of the upstairs Zeta Tubes. "So, how was that tour of the castle in the sky?" Lux asked. Robin looked to him and chuckled. "The Watchtower's one of the best League bases in the world!" he exclaimed. Saw chuckled as he walked up in front of them. "Really, is that so? What is the second best League base on this backwater planet?" he asked. Kid Flash zoomed up and began to speak, but sighed and placed his head down in defeat saying, "That's the only base." Artemis looked to him and put her hand on her hip while nodding in disapproval. "Baywatch, Serra's right about you. You really do talk faster than you run." She remarked. Wally turned and grumbled at Artemis as he began to mutter to himself.
Just then, there was a loud crackling noise echoing throughout the Cave. Wally looked around and widened his eyes with suspense as he said, "Fu-shwoon? That's a really bad sound!" Robin stepped up and looked around as the noise came again. "That sounded more like a Bi-zeep." He argued. Artemis and Zatanna looked to each other with grins on their faces before turning to the two boys. "Actually, it sounded more like a 'flap'." Zatanna retorted. Robin and Wally looked to each other in confusion. "It sounded like a 'flap'?" they both asked simultaneously. At that moment, Artemis slapped Wally and Zatanna slapped Robin across the cheeks, making the 'flap' sound. Both males looked to them as Artemis grinned. "That's a 'flap'." She quipped. Rocket looked to them and rolled her eyes. "Enough onomatopoeias; let's go see what's going on." She remarked. The Team nodded to each other and followed Raquel down to the floor below.
As the Team reached the first level, their eyes widened with surprise as Serra and Ahsoka were clashing their lightsabers with each other aggressively. "You're going down, Tano!" Serra yelled, throwing Ahsoka across the room. Ahsoka grinned as she charged at Serra with a Vaapad charge. M'gann's smile lessened as she saw what appeared to be a battle to the death. "Is Serra going rogue?" she asked. Aqualad shook his head in disapproval as he ran in and activated his Water Bearers. Before the two could clash with each other, they both stopped just in time before they nearly killed Aqualad.
Ahsoka raised an eyebrow in confusion as Serra tilted her head from the blue blades. "Um, Kaldur, do you think you could step back a couple of feet?" she asked. Aqualad and the Team looked to the two Jedi in confusion as Ahsoka and Serra deactivated their lightsabers. "You were just about to kill each other!" Superboy exclaimed. Both Ahsoka and Serra started to look to each other with nervousness as the Team sent glares at them. After a minute passed, the two broke out into laughter. Miss Martian gasped as she walked up to them. "This is no joke! We don't want anyone to get killed, and that means both you." She reprimanded, but the two Jedi kept laughing. Artemis walked up as Ahsoka wiped a tear of laughter off of her eye. "This is how Jedi train all the time, M'gann." Ahsoka reassured. The Martian stepped back as Serra took a deep breath. "Alright, Ahsoka, let's start again." Serra said. Ahsoka nodded as she and Aqualad both stepped back. Ahsoka reactivated her swords as Serra did the same.
As Aqualad rejoined the Team, they watched as Ahsoka and Serra started to spar with each other again. The Team watched in interest, but all M'gann could do was sulk. "Do any of you feel like Ahsoka's been ignoring us for the past few days?" M'gann asked the Team through the psychic link. Saw and Jaybo just watched the Team as they made gestures to Ahsoka and back. "Not just ignoring us, I mean what does she and Serra have that we don't?" the Boy of Steel asked as he gestured a hand to the two Jedi. Wally stepped forwards and then scoffed. "They may have the Force, but it doesn't make them any different from us." The speedster remarked. Artemis looked forwards with a smirk on her face and a hand on her hip. "YOU seem to be complaining about Serra just because she rejected you." The archer remarked. Wally looked to her wide-eyed and gaped. "So, she just doesn't like me yet. Is that such a crime?" Kid Flash asked back. Zatanna smirked as Jaybo just continued to watch in confusion. "Well, at least since Serra gave her apologies, I guess it's not so bad to live with a bobcut." The mage stated as she twirled around her hair. Aqualad sighed as he just looked back to the Jedi. "I highly doubt that Ahsoka would abandon us." He stated. Robin chuckled and lifted his hand into the air. "Let's just see where this all plays out first." The Boy Wonder suggested. The rest of the Team nodded as they continued to watch Ahsoka and Serra train with each other.
Later on that day, Ahsoka and Serra had stopped training, but the Togrutan was now just so excited to see her again. As she was heading to Serra's room, Aqualad cut in front of her. The Togrutan Jedi raised an eyebrow and looked to Kaldur with confusion. "What's wrong, Kaldur?" Ahsoka asked. The Atlantean cleared his throat before speaking. "Ahsoka, I may need some help with my swordsmanship, and since that you are the only one with experience with a lightsaber and swordsmanship skills, you seem to be the right choice." He explained. Ahsoka looked to him and sighed. "Sorry, Kaldur, but I'm too busy right now. Serra is going to help me modify my lightsabers and it's just been a while since I've seen her, so maybe we can train later." She suggested. Before Aqualad could respond, Ahsoka walked away.
Sometime later on, Robin and Kid Flash ran up to Ahsoka while she was making her way to Serra again. Ahsoka chuckled as she saw the two kids run up to her. "Ahsoka, we were thinking that you could teach us how to improve on our agility and speed. Can you help us out with that?" the Boy Wonder asked. Wally nodded as Ahsoka chuckled. "Sorry, but I have to practice some meditation techniques with Serra." She stated honestly. The smiles on the two males lessened as Ahsoka made her way to the Lounge.
Then, Connor tried to ask her for help in hand-to-hand combat. Ahsoka just politely turned him down, saying that she and Serra were sparring on hand-to-hand combat of their own. M'gann then walked up to her later on. "Hey there, Ahsoka, Do you want to go shopping?" the Martian female asked. Ahsoka stood there and sighed. "Sorry, M'gann, but I can't. I sort of promised Serra I would go show her around Happy Harbor so that she has a handle on how things are around here." Ahsoka honestly replied. M'gann felt like her heart sank as she looked to Ahsoka with a slight smile on her face. "Okay, then, you and Serra have fun." She said. Ahsoka smiled as she then ran to Serra. As soon as she left, M'gann took a seat and sighed.
The Team sat around in the Kitchen silently as they watched Ahsoka and Serra have their fun. "It's now official, guys. Ahsoka seems to like Serra more than us." Artemis stated. The Team just sighed as they continued to watch the two Jedi from afar. Raquel dangled her feet over the side of the counter as she looked up to try to think of ideas. "How does one get a new friend to have fun with them?" Raquel asked the Team. Wally sighed as he stretched his arms out. "I would have to say that it would take one heck of a party to get Ahsoka's attention." He remarked. M'gann looked up from her cooking and looked to Wally and smiled. "Batman does say that we have a free weekend." M'gann reminded them. Robin stood up and smiled as well. "Considering that it's warm enough outside, I say we have a beach party!" the Boy Wonder suggested. The rest of the Team started to smile as they soon got together. "Finally, this is something I can be a part of!" he exclaimed. The rest of the Team laughed as they started to plan out their big surprise.
Coruscant Jedi Temple…
Anakin Skywalker paced around the room as Obi-Wan watched him worryingly. "Dare I ask what the matter is, Anakin?" Obi-Wan asked. The Chosen One looked up and sighed. "I sent Lux, I sent Serra with a squad, and none of them have even reported back to me!" Anakin exclaimed angrily. The Negotiator scoffed and walked forwards. "Ahsoka will be found, Anakin, I promise." Kenobi stated. Anakin thought about it for a moment before sighing and saying, "I guess you're right."
At that moment, Captain Rex walked into the room. Obi-Wan looked to him with an eyebrow raised and asked, "What seems to be the problem, Captain?" Rex cleared up his throat before he responded. "Chancellor Palpatine has requested that you lead an attack on the CIS. They're currently operating in Dantooine, and a large shield is guarding the area." The Clone explained. Anakin sighed as he clenched his fist. "Alright, Rex, get your troops ready and we'll make way to Dantooine as soon as we can." He ordered. Captain Rex nodded as he walked out. Obi-Wan looked to Anakin and smirked. "So, this is where the fun begins." He stated. Anakin smiled as he followed his master out to lead the attack.
Earth-16, Alcatraz Island 1538 hours…
Sportsmaster and Deathstroke both crept around the giant prison as they tried their best to hide away from all the ORDER agents. "We need to find Queen Bee and fast." Crusher stated to Slade. The assassin nodded as they threw knockout gas bombs and shock grenades at the ORDER soldiers. They screamed in pain as the two made their way into the holding area. Unbeknownst to them, Falcon and Xanadu were watching over them with evil smirks on their faces. "I say we kill them where they stand." The evil Zatanna suggested as she aimed her wand at the two. Falcon put her arm down as he started to caress her lips. "Patience, my love, for everything takes time." Robin's evil twin stated. Xanadu chuckled lightly as they both leaned into each other for a kiss. It only lasted for a moment, as they soon went to alert the rest of the ORDER.
Mount Justice 1542 hours
Ahsoka and Serra returned from their tour of Happy Harbor and started to laugh. "Well, that was certainly worth the walk." Serra quipped. Ahsoka smiled and sighed as she looked down to her feet. "I guess it was fun, Serra, but I think that we should focus more on the Team." She stated. Serra sighed and looked up into the air. "Those kids sure are something, aren't they?" she asked. Ahsoka nodded and the two started to make their way to the Kitchen. "I'm serious, Serra, the Team means so much to me." She remarked. Serra sighed and chuckled. "Even still, as they are able to perform well on the field with no powers, they seem like Jedi to me." Serra stated. Ahsoka rolled her eyes as they entered the large room.
As they entered, Ahsoka started to look around. "Where is everybody?" she asked. Serra just shrugged as they both looked around for the Team. Ahsoka walked over to the couch and picked up a note. "Serra, I found something." Ahsoka exclaimed. Serra ran over to her and looked at the note. Ahsoka looked to it and started to read it aloud. "Ahsoka and Serra, we would like you to please get Saw, Jaybo and Lux together and come outside the Cave and onto the beach below. Please be sure to leave your weapons behind, signed M'gann." Ahsoka read. The two looked to each other and shrugged. "I guess we should see what they want." Serra said, in which Ahsoka nodded.
Later on, the five came outside. As instructed, they all left their weapons inside of the Cave. Ahsoka started to look around and narrow her eyes. "I wonder where the Team is." She said to herself out loud. At that moment, a large wave came their way. Serra looked over to it and smiled. "I guess that we'll find out soon enough." She replied. Ahsoka raised an eyebrow as she looked over to what Serra was looking at. She chuckled as she soon saw what was intriguing her friend so much.
On the wave, Zatanna, in a pink half top and miniskirt, was surfboarding across the ocean. As soon as she saw Ahsoka and the rest of the gang, she waved to them happily, in which Ahsoka and Lux acknowledged and waved back. A beach ball was thrown towards their direction, but Serra caught it as M'gann and Connor ran over. Ahsoka chuckled and looked to them happily. "What's all this?" she asked cheerfully. Artemis and Wally soon ran over and laughed. "We just figured that you'd like to let loose a bit and join in on the party." Artemis replied. M'gann looked to Ahsoka and smiled and winked, in which the Togrutan did the same back to her. "Okay, so what do I do?" she asked.
M'gann tossed her the beach ball and laughed. "Just kick off your shoes and join in!" she exclaimed. Ahsoka smiled as she removed her boots before running in to join the Team in a volleyball game. Serra stood where she was wide-eyed as she looked to the rest of the group. "What do you think?" she asked. Jaybo smiled and removed his shirt. "I don't know, but I do know that I'm about to have fun!" he yelled. Lux shrugged and went back in to change. "I think I'll join in as well." He replied. Serra and Saw just watched with awe as they saw the Team have fun. "Have you ever felt like doing something like this?" Saw asked. Serra shrugged as she continued to look at the Team. "This is my first time." She replied back.
Ahsoka jumped high and hit the volleyball over the net to Wally, who failed to hit the ball back. Ahsoka laughed as she turned to Serra and Saw. "Hey, come on and join in!" she yelled. Serra snapped out of her trance and looked over to her best friend and nodded with a smile on her face. "I'll just go back in to change." She yelled back. Ahsoka nodded as M'gann tackled her. Ahsoka laughed as she got up and looked to M'gann with happiness. Saw watched everything and went back in so that he could change as well. The rest of the Team continued to laugh as they played away in the sun.
Meanwhile at Alcatraz, Sportsmaster and Deathstroke continued to look for Queen Bee. "Where is she?" Lawrence asked. As if on cue, there was the sound of an electric shock, followed by the sound of Queen Bee screaming. Deathstroke pointed a finger to the cell that the sound came from and the two went to take a look. Queen Bee lay on the ground with her hand on her head as she moaned in pain. "I need to get out of here." She exclaimed anxiously. Just then, Sportsmaster and Deathstroke arrived and sliced the prison gates in half. Deathstroke walked to her and helped the monarch up to her feet. "Are you alright, Queen Bee?" Slade asked. Zazzala nodded as she grew a slight smile on her face. "We need to leave before ORDER reinforcements arrive." She demanded. Sportsmaster nodded as they started to run to the ocean.
Unbeknownst to them, Sylas was watching everything go on through the hidden cameras. Syrena walked up to him and unsheathed her scepter. "My lord, if it's all the same with you, would you like me to go and stop them?" she asked. Sylas looked back to her and chuckled. "Alakshmi, my dear, have patience. You know that we do not want to get any bad ideas from our supporters right now. I suggest that we use this event to draw more people to ORDER. The Shadows has become more desperate that they have broken into our base and made the law even more unjust." He stated. Syrena smirked and nodded as Sylas watched the prisoner and her liberators make their way out. As Sylas pressed the 'Stop' button on his terminal, he pressed another button and chuckled. "I believe with this, we should indeed be able to show the world the darkness of the Light." He quipped. Both he and Alakshmi laughed into the night as they now had evidence to gain more supporters to their side.
Back at Mount Justice, Serra found herself on one of the surfboards and surfing the waves with Saw and Robin at her side. Serra struggled with controlling the surfboard since she had never ridden one before, and Saw was starting to get the hang of it. Robin looked to them and smiled. "You'll get used to it, all you just have to do it go with the flow." He instructed. Serra smiled nervously as she started to surf. She began to get just a bit better, but she was still struggling with it. Zatanna came by and smiled. "Just get yourself some balance, Serra." She calmly said. Serra nodded as she started to surf for real this time. For all the while, the entire Team was starting to have fun.
Later that night, the Team started a campfire. M'gann placed her hands over the warm fire as the rest of the Team started to roast marshmallows. Ahsoka walked up and sighed as she looked up to the moon. "Thank you, guys, for all of this." She said to the Team. M'gann smiled with happiness as Serra came by with some firewood. "I'll go help Saw to get some more." She informed them. The Team nodded as she left. As soon as Serra was gone, Ahsoka looked to the Team with a bit of concern. "As much fun as I'm having, I just want to ask why you're doing this all for me." She asked. The Team started to look to each other before Wally stepped up. "We just see that you and Serra spend a lot of time together." He explained. Ahsoka's eyes widened as M'gann stood up. "We were all feeling left out a lot." She added on. Ahsoka looked to them and smiled as she stood up herself. "Guys, there's nothing to worry about. Serra and I just go back, and I wanted to get back with her again. I care for all of you, even if I don't really show it much." She explained. The Team smiled as Serra came by and placed some more firewood before clearing her throat. "I just need to talk with Saw." She explained. The Team nodded once again as Serra left. M'gann immediately ran up to Ahsoka and embraced her. "You mean so much to us." She said. Ahsoka smiled and hugged her back. "I couldn't have had it any other way." Ahsoka replied.
As Serra walked away from the Team, she looked to see Saw. She took a deep breath before walking up to him. "Saw, can I talk with you for a minute?" she asked. Saw smiled and placed down the wood. "What would you like to talk about, Serra?" he asked. Serra twiddled around with her hair a bit before speaking. "After everything that has happened today, during the beach party and all, I just wanted to say…" Serra started out. Saw leaned in closer to hear what she was going to say next. "I love you." She said quietly. Saw gasped and looked around before smiling. "I love you too." He stated. The two smiled as the Team enjoyed the rest of the afternoon. Everyone was happy.
