Hello again, everyone! This is SuperHeroTimeFan, your best author, speaking and I am back with another new chapter of my best story yet, Path of the Padawan! First off, I'd like to thank all of you who ever liked my story so far. I am so touched by how much you have shown so much devotion and likings to my story. It means so much to me! Now, before I start my new chapter, I will be happy to say that updates will be more frequent due to it now being summer! I'll also be concluding stories, such as A New Destiny: Omnibus: Tales of the Team due to my new interests in other stories, but rest assured, Path of the Padawan will still go on! Chapter 26: Honor and Memory
Philippine Islands April 13th 1138 hours UTC
The Terror Titans watched over the ORDER operations going on in the Philippines as Xever, ORDER's greatest swordsman and blades expert, managed to oversee that the operation is going off without a hitch. Striker walked up to Xever and started to look around at the area as a whole. "How goes Phase I of the operation?" Victor asked. Xever looked to the former WWII soldier and smirked. "While the Team may not know what we're really doing, I'd say that we're moving along on schedule." The Sword Master replied. Striker started to chuckle at this while Xever grinned and twirled his usual pocketknife.
Just then, Black Widow walked in with a woman by her side. Striker and Xever examined the foreigner as she gave the two men a smirk. She had white hair, yet she was still in her youth, a red dress, and a thick, black belt around her waist. Barriss bowed to the generals respectfully before turning to the Asian woman. "This is China White of the Chinese Triads, the employer for the latest batches of the Symbio Enhancer." Black Widow introduced. The Chinese female bowed and nodded. "What should I tell Mister Somers about the progress of our Symbio Enhancers?" China asked. Xever stepped up and held her hand in his own. "I assure you, Martin Somers will get his batch of Symbio Enhancers by the next three days." Xever reported shortly before kissing China White's hand. China chuckled and released her hand before looking to Black Widow
"When the Symbio Enhancer is complete, send sixteen boxes of those devils to the Chinese Triads immediately." China ordered. Barriss nodded as China left to help the Terror Titans stand guard. "With two operations going on at the same time, the Team and the League will never be able to stop us!" Barriss exclaimed. Xever looked to her and smirked. "You took the words right out of my mouth." He quipped.
Mykonos Greece 1638 hours EET
Oliver Queen, also known as Green Arrow, waited for his girlfriend, Dinah Lance aka Black Canary, to arrive at the Mykonos Amphitheater. She should be here by now. Ollie thought to mentally. I hope she doesn't stand me up. He added on. Just then, Dinah ran in as she was hopping on one foot and placing on a high heel shoe. Oliver looked over and smiled as the Bird of Prey panted and wiped some sweat off of her brow. "Sorry I'm late, Ollie. You won't believe how much stress my father is putting on me right now!" she exclaimed. The emerald archer chuckled and patted her on the shoulder. "Hey, it's alright. Red Arrow's filling in for me at Queen Industries, so everything's fine." Oliver said calmingly. Dinah smiled and together, they both walked into the restaurant, where a live performance was going to be held.
After a while of waiting, billionaire Bruce Wayne stepped up and everyone applauded for him. Dinah smirked to Oliver, as they both knew who the famous billionaire really was. "It is with great honor that I am here tonight." He announced to everyone. A woman nearby then walked up next to him as Bruce chuckled and placed his hand on her shoulder. "This is my date, Selina Kyle. Now that I and my girlfriend have been introduced, please give a big round of applause for tonight's singer, Tamara Femme." Bruce Wayne stated. Everyone clapped and cheered as Bruce got off of the stage with Selina by his side. Clark Kent of the Daily Planet, along with Lois Lane, both ran up to the famous businessman and started asking him questions, much to the amusement of Ollie and Dinah.
At that moment, chords of a harp played as Tamara entered the stage. Everyone applauded once again as the woman came out from behind the curtain. The audience gasped in wonder as Tamara emerged, wearing a white, silk dress similar to that of a bride's, with her face concealed from everyone. She walked up to the microphone and cleared her throat. Her cherry lips glistened as she smirked and eyed the harp player. He nodded and started to play a tune.
"Upon one summer's morning, I carelessly did stray,
Down by the Walls of Wapping, where I met sailors at bay,
Conversing with a bouncing lass who seemed to be in pain
Saying, 'William, when you go, I fear you'll ne'er return again…"
It was only the first verse of the song, but as Tamara sung the song, Ollie's eyes started to widen as he got up. Bruce, who had been answering any question Clark or Lois had, also stopped and looked towards Tamara, followed shortly by Bruce. Lois Lane and Dinah Lance looked to their boyfriends in confusion as Tamara looked down and softly smirked sinisterly as Selina and the harp player started to grin. Tamara continued to sing her song as the three started to look at the singer as if their loved ones weren't even by their side.
"His hair, it does in ringlets hang, his eyes as black as sloes,
Let happiness attend him to the very place he goes,
From Tower Hill, down to Blackwall, I wander, weep and moan,
All for my jolly sailor bold, until he does return…"
Dinah started to tug on Ollie's shirt, but he didn't pay even a bit of attention to his girlfriend as he only focused on the singer. "What's wrong with you?!" she complained. She then looked to Bruce, wondering if the Dark Knight knew about what was happening. He appeared to be in the same trance as Clark was too. She looked around and saw that none of the other males were affected. "Something's very wrong here." She exclaimed in a singsong voice. Out of curiosity, she continued to listen to the song to see if she would be in the men's trance as well.
Tamara looked to Selina and nodded without a move, gesturing for her to make her move. Selina nodded and took out a pipe. She then aimed it at Dinah and spit something at her neck. Dinah felt the strange thing hit her and pulled out a dart. "What the hell was that?" she asked herself curiously. Suddenly, she started to feel a bit dizzy as she found herself resting her head on her hands down on the table, only hearing the last verse of the song.
"My name, it is Maria, a merchant's daughter fair,
And I have left my parents and a million grand a year,
My heart is pierced by Cupid; I disdain all glittering gold,
There is nothing that consoles me, but my jolly sailor… bold."
There it finally was; the end of the song. It seems almost like a… like a… Dinah thought to herself, but she had trouble thinking. Dinah tried to stay awake as long as her eyes would let her, but she soon found herself nearly falling asleep. She panted as she tried to take a glance at who was behind the veil, but before she could catch a glimpse, something knocked her on the back of the head, making Black Canary fall into unconsciousness.
Mount Justice April 14th 0953 hours ETC
Ahsoka and the Team watched as Wally went up against Black Canary. Dinah dodged every attack he made, upsetting the speedster very much. Curiously, Ahsoka leaned in closer to Robin. "How many times has Wally lost against Black Canary?" she asked. The Boy Wonder smirked and rolled his eyes under his mask. "He's lost about sixteen times, and he never manages to land a single hit on her." Dick responded. Ahsoka giggled as Serra tried her best to hold back some laughs.
Dinah was still feeling a bit woozy from the other night. Even though she awoke just after Tamara finished her number and Ollie brought her home, she wasn't feeling all that well. She was about to get a quick rest, but a left hook from Wally prevented her. She narrowly avoided it before falling to the ground after he swept his feet under hers. The Team gasped as Serra and Ahsoka ran to her aid. "Dinah, are you alright?" she asked. Black Canary nodded before sending a weak glare at the Jedi. "What's wrong?" Ahsoka asked.
Black Canary moaned as she was helped up to her feet. "I just… had quite a night yesterday and I'm still dizzy." She explained. Aqualad nodded and looked to the rest of the Team. "So, what are your orders now?" he asked. The word 'order' sent chills up everyone's spine, considering what they went through when taking on Sylas. Dinah looked to them and sighed. "For now, we can take a break. Fifteen minutes only, though, then we get back to work, but right now, I need a nap." The training instructor tiredly instructed the Team. They all nodded as Serra went to help Black Canary get to the Medical Bay for some rest.
As the Team went to the Kitchen to talk, Lux looked to Ahsoka and grabbed her by the arm. The Togrutan looked to the Onderonian senator confusingly before he rolled his eyes to the other tunnel of the Cave. "I want to talk to you." He said. Ahsoka smiled and nodded before they walked off. M'gann was about to join the Team to watch some television, but the sight of the two lovebirds wandering off. She chuckled as she placed her hands on her hips and shook her head playfully. "Ahsoka and Lu-ux, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N…" the Martian started out playfully. She stopped singing all of a sudden when she took notice of Saw following them. "What's going on?" she asked herself. Curious to find out Saw's problem and reason for snooping around Ahsoka and Lux, she turned intangible and floated towards the three.
Ahsoka and Lux stood in a small corner of the Cave where they assumed no one would find them. Ahsoka looked around and chuckled before looking back to the senator. "What's the problem, Lux?" she asked. Lux sighed and pulled up a chair, in which Ahsoka did the same. "I want to talk about what we're going to be doing later on in our lives now that we're on Earth." He explained. Ahsoka gasped softly and placed a hand up to her mouth. "A-are you saying y-you'd like to stay here with me a-and the Team?" she stuttered. Lux nodded affirmatively before going on. "Since you seem to be enjoying yourself here, I think I should just drop my Senator act and stay with you. I now don't feel any reason to go back." Lux stated. Ahsoka nodded as Lux sighed. "When I saw the persistence of Robin, Artemis, Zatanna, Aqualad, and the rest of the Team, I knew I couldn't leave." He added on.
Just then, there was the sound of footsteps approaching them. Ahsoka and Lux gasped and immediately straightened themselves up. At that moment, Saw walked into the room with an angry look on his face. "Bonteri, we need to talk." He frustratingly demanded. Lux raised his eyebrow and furrowed his brow before turning back to his friend from Onderon. "Tell me what's wrong, Saw." He asked. Saw sighed and looked to the two angrily. "Look, I get that Earth needs protection from its mightiest heroes, but you're no hero material, Senate Boy." He spat. Ahsoka rolled her eyes and pushed Saw in the chest. "Sheesh, for once, can you just back off?" she asked obnoxiously. Saw scoffed and pushed Ahsoka back, causing Lux to growl and storm up towards him.
"Stay away from Ahsoka!" he threateningly yelled. Ahsoka placed a hand on her hip and shook her head. "Lux, I'm capable of handling myself!" she yelled, but Rebel just placed his hand up and went back to talking to Saw. "I'm exactly hero material!" he spat. Saw scoffed and looked down to the Senator. "This is coming from a guy who just had trouble with a musician!" Saw quipped, causing Lux to clench his fists. "For the last time, I am not going back!" he yelled. Unbeknownst to the two males, M'gann was floating invisibly beside them, listening in on the conversation. Ahsoka grunted and rolled her eyes, but her eyes happened to catch sight of M'gann. "M'gann, I can sense you here! What are you doing?!" she demanded through the psychic link. M'gann looked over and silently came out of camo mode. "I was curious as to what was happening, so I decided to follow you three after I noticed Saw heading towards you." She replied back. Ahsoka grinned as the two looked back to the conversation at hand.
"My place may have been at Onderon so that I could serve alongside the king, but now that I'm starting to make a difference here on Earth, I don't see a reason to head back!" Lux argued. Saw growled and leaned in closer towards him. "Since you're the Senator of Onderon, there is a reason to head back!" he spat back. Ahsoka and M'gann both watched the heated argument with worriment before Lux growled and stomped his foot. "Well then, maybe Steela would BEG TO DIFFER!" he yelled. Ahsoka gasped at the mention of Saw's deceased sister, as well as Saw himself. He began to stutter and pant heavily as he reached for his blaster pistol. "Never bring up Steela!" he yelled back at him. Before Saw could draw his pistol, M'gann shrieked softly. Saw and Lux turned to see the Martian standing next to Ahsoka with much surprise. "How much did you hear?" Saw asked. M'gann cleared up her throat before floating over to Saw and said, "Only up till the part about Steela. Who is she?" Saw sighed and was about to explain until Batman's voice came into the Cave. "Team, report to the Mission Room for new mission briefing in five." He reported. The Martian rolled her eyes and sighed as she and Ahsoka flew off to the Mission Room. Saw looked to Lux for a brief moment with a glare in his eyes before they both eventually ran off after them.
In the Mission Room, Batman pulled up a holoscreen of the Philippines. He then looked to the Team as he redirected his finger at the screen. "We have been receiving reports from Katana and other Asian liaisons of the Justice League near the Asian countries that ORDER has been selling some kind of unknown drug with the Chinese Triads, being led by Star City's businessman and dock manager, Martin Somers." The Dark Knight reported. Artemis rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Great, it's bad enough that the Light is on our tail, but how is it that Green Arrow failed to ensure Somers was imprisoned for good after even catching the evidence that he was in league with the Triads anyways?" she asked. Batman sent a glare and an unexpected snarl at the archer, causing her to gulped and walked back to her place with the Team.
"Your mission is simple: you must find out what the ORDER is up to and take down whatever operation they are performing." Batman ordered. The Team all looked to each other affirmatively before looking back to the Dark Knight and nodding. "You must also abort the mission should anything happen to go wrong. You are to make no further actions if a failure happens to occur. Am I understood?" Batman added on, causing the Team to share shocked expressions. Serra finally stepped up angrily and looked Batman in the face. "We've been able to hold our own against the ORDER and the Light for months now, and if you think that we're just going to let the big guys get all the work again, then you'd better remember who we are because the Team will never back down from a fight." She spat at the Dark Knight. Batman looked to the rest of the Team, who just nodded in agreement. He scoffed and headed towards the Zeta Tube. "You should be. You're only a group of kids after all." He replied back before leaving.
Aqualad furrowed his brow in confusion and looked to the Team. "Did Batman just call us 'kids' again?" he asked. Robin scoffed and threw his hand into the air. "I can't believe that after all we've done for them, save them from Vandal Savage and the Light, find out all the secrets of Cadmus, he still refuses to trust us!" the Boy Wonder retorted. Zatanna shook her head and sighed. "I honestly don't get it." She stated. The rest of the Team mumbled in agreement before they all headed off to their ships.
Saw watched the Team as they all boarded their respective ships. Ahsoka and Serra walked up beside him and started to send glares at him. Ahsoka purposefully elbowed him in the chest as she walked to her Starfighter, causing Serra to look at her new boyfriend with much confusion. "What's going on, Saw?" she asked. Saw looked to Serra and sighed frustratingly. "After this mission, I'm out of here. I'll report our findings to Anakin myself and return to Onderon so I can start acting like a real hero." He remarked. Serra looked at the Onderonian soldier with worriment before heading into the Bioship for the Team to depart.
Philippine Islands 1234 hours UTC
Saw and Ahsoka looked down to the islands of the Philippines as their three ships entered the area. "Where do you think the ORDER is hiding this time?" Serra asked Aqualad via comlink. Kaldur looked around and sighed. "I don't see anything." He stated. Ahsoka sighed and looked down as she caught sight of Mount Pinatubo. "R7, I want you to see if you can pick up any ORDER communications." Ahsoka ordered. R7-A7 chirped excitedly as he first twirled his dome before beeping busily. At that moment, Ahsoka's eyes widened as she caught a transmission. "Guys, listen to this!" she called to the Team. The Team started to listen as Striker's voice came into their ships' speakers. "Terror Titans, make sure that the Triads get their batch within the next hour!" Striker commanded. "It's coming from down at that stone bridge by the beach." Ahsoka explained to her friends. M'gann smiled and started to land the Bioship. "This time, we take on the ORDER head-on." Kaldur ordered. Everyone nodded affirmatively as they all got out and ran towards Striker.
Striker looked down to the ground and nodded as the Terror Titans carried out his will. Just then, he heard some people jump from behind him. Victor turned around and grinned when he saw that the Team had arrived, all being led by Ahsoka. They took notice of the Terror Titans carrying a large, wooden crate, but they had no idea what was inside of it. Ahsoka then turned back to Striker, who was still looking down to the operations. He smirked and nodded his head amusingly. "This seems like a continuation from out last encounter." Striker mused. Ahsoka scoffed and glared straight at Striker dangerously. "You won't be escaping this time!" she stated. With that, she unsheathed her lightsabers as the rest of the Team surrounded the ORDER soldier. Striker held his own lightsaber in a reverse position before placing it in his left hand and sighing lustfully. "Fighting is great. It excites me." He spat at the Ex-Jedi. With that, the two charged at each other with none backing down. Aqualad and the rest of the Team waited on standby as they watched Ahsoka dual wield against the weapons expert of the ORDER.
Striker attacked first with a Shien slash, but Ahsoka was able to duck under it and avoid a Vaapad downwards slash. The Togrutan blocked this attack and rolled away soon after. Striker's silver lightsaber blade shone in the sun as Ahsoka stood her ground with her blue and green blades. The two started to circle each other before Ahsoka leapt onto the stone bridge, followed by Striker. Victor chuckled as he looked to his blade, causing Ahsoka to raise hers in defense. At that moment, he jumped into the air and kicked her to the ground, causing Ahsoka to fall to the ground. Striker laughed and prepared to charge again, but Ahsoka had other plans. She unsheathed her arm-mounted crossbow and then aimed it at Striker. Victor didn't see this coming and stopped, but Ahsoka's energized shot was enough to send him to the ground below. As Striker fell, Aqualad jumped up and slashed at his abdomen. Artemis then shot an arrow at his shoulder plate, causing him to be pinned to the wall.
Ahsoka panted and looked down to Striker venomously. "It's over, Striker! Just turn yourself in and we'll tell Sylas that we are after him next!" she yelled. At that moment, two boomerang-like knives were sent towards the Team. Ahsoka gasped and Force-Pushed them to the side. As she got down to regroup with the rest of the Team, Ahsoka heard some footsteps from behind her. She turned around and the Team gasped to see China White! She glared at them dangerously as she held her Karambit knives very carefully. "Fàngxià nǐ de wǔqì, xiǎozi!" China demanded in Mandarin Tongue. Ahsoka growled and pointed her lightsabers at her. "Ràng wǒmen lǎo wūpó!" Ahsoka quipped back. Zatanna was about to cast a spell at China until a series of pocketknives were sent their way. Artemis gasped and sent them to the ground with her arrows. The Team gasped as China started to surround them with Striker and the Terror Titans.
Just then, they heard some distant footsteps approach them. Ahsoka turned to the side and saw someone with dark skin, wearing a black sleeveless shirt and a white vest, as well as ripped denim jeans walk towards them. Artemis gaped at the man while Robin sputtered. "It's not possible!" Artemis exclaimed. Xever chuckled as he drew out a long lance-like sword in his hands. It started to glow golden as he charged in and clashed with Serra. Ahsoka then Force-Pushed him away as he started to chuckle. "Artemis, it's been quite some time now." Xever spat. Artemis gritted her teeth and let out the blade on her bow. "I always wished to never see your face again, Xever." She spat back. Xever laughed and pointed his blade at Robin.
"Boy Wonder, did your mentor ever tell you that I once nearly brought him to death?" he sadistically asked. Robin scoffed and spit some blood at the ground. "Xever, you're a scoundrel." Robin venomously remarked. Xever chuckled and craned his neck. "It's just what I'd expect to hear from you… Dick Grayson." Xever quipped. The Team gasped as they turned to Robin with confusion. Robin started to stutter as he glared at Wally and Ahsoka. "I thought you said you wouldn't tell!" he yelled angrily. Wally shook his head no as Ahsoka placed her hands up in surrender. "I never told anyone!" she swore. Robin growled before dangerously glaring at Xever.
Xever pointed his sword to the Terror Titans and nodded. "Bring me the Symbio Enhancer!" he ordered. Falcon, Xanadu, Prowler and Inertia all smirked and nodded as they broke the lid of the wooden crate and revealed a vial of a strange, harsh yellow-colored chemical. The Team gaped at this while Xever grabbed the vial forcefully. "This drug gave Barriss Offee her powers over spider powers and flight. I present to you the Symbio Enhancer!" Xever yelled across the area. The Team gasped as Xever removed the lid of the vial and took a sip out from it. After Xever drank out from the vial, he began to clutch his chest in pain. Ahsoka and Serra took a step back as Xever soon got up, laughing. "This is the power of the ORDER's ultimate Symbio Enhancer!" Xever yelled.
Aqualad and Ahsoka stepped forward to try to take on Xever, but the Sword Master laughed and spread out his arms. Then, at that moment, much to the Team's disgust, his fingers began to merge together and form into sharp blades. Xever laughed even more as gills formed on his neck and his body. Aqualad and Ahsoka still held their positions, but Xever charged at them, slashing in frenzy. Both sword duelists backed away fearfully as Xever pressed his attack on them. "You can't beat what you can't control, kiddies!" the Sword King quipped. With that, he slashed Aqualad away and kicked Ahsoka into the dirt. Serra gasped and threw her lightsaber at him, in which Xever caught the lightsaber hand. "That won't work on me, Shan!" he spat. With that, he threw Serra to the side. "Fall back!" Ahsoka ordered the Team. Lux, Saw and Serra all nodded as they helped their friends up to their feet. "We go into the forest for cover!" Aqualad ordered.
Xever just laughed as Striker walked up next to him. "Do you see, Striker? That is how you teach children discipline. Now, I will show you how to cut their hearts to pieces." The Sword Master gorily quipped. Striker chuckled as they looked to the forest where the Team ran. Xever then turned back to the Terror Titans and China White and nodded. "Make sure to keep your positions." He ordered. Everyone nodded as Xever and Striker went after the Team silently.
Zatanna kept a lookout for the ORDER operatives as the rest of the Team started to hide so they could recover. Rocket flew quietly over to her and panted. "Are we out of their sights?" she asked. The magician looked back and nodded. "We've lost Xever and Striker." She told the Team. Ahsoka panted as she looked towards Aqualad. "Do we call the League?" Ahsoka asked. Kaldur turned away for a moment before turning back and sighing. "Batman is trying to test us. If we call for League reinforcements, our mission here will fail." The Atlantean stated. The Team nodded as they prepared to fight again.
As the Team was hiding in the trees, Ahsoka heard some footsteps from the ground below. "It's them!" she told the Team through the Psychic Link. Everyone panted as they hid where they were. Striker and Xever soon came in as they started to look for the Team. "If you had placed a tracker on the Team, none of this would have happened!" Victor yelled. Ahsoka looked down as she watched the argument go on between the two. "I don't need advice from a rich boy to tell me how to find a group of brats!" Xever spat back. M'gann looked down as well and smirked. "They really need to learn how to get along." She teasingly said to everyone. Ahsoka's eyes widened at that moment and smiled "That's it! We can use that against them!" she exclaimed. Saw chuckled as he looked to Artemis and Rebel. "If you can distract them long enough to lose focus on what their primary objective, then I think we can use the forest to our advantage." He instructed. Lux smirked and nodded at him. "You've always been the expert in Guerilla Warfare." He stated. The rest of the Team nodded as both Zatanna and Connor looked down to the two.
Xever had a torch lit up as Striker held his new lightsaber in his hand. "Obviously, I'm better at scaring away a Team." Xever boasted. Striker said nothing as he looked in the other direction to look for the Team. "Living off of the streets, that's no surprise." Striker's voice suddenly said. Xever growled and turned back. "What was that?!" he demanded. Striker looked up and then back to Xever. "I said nothing, now keep looking for the Team." Victor curtly and angrily replied back. The Sword King scowled as he kept looking. "To be honest, Sylas should have killed you for every time you failed our master." Xever remarked. Striker growled and looked back to the Sword Master. "Stop it!" he demanded. Xever rolled his eyes and turned around. "I didn't say anything!" he spat back. "That's definitely not what I heard." Victor replied.
At that moment, the two heard some chuckling coming from above. Xever's eyes looked up as the two saw Zatanna and Superboy floating above them. "How long have you two been dating?" Connor snippily asked as he turned to the mage. "Because you bicker like and old married couple!" she quipped. Striker growled and shot a bullet at the two, but Zatanna just made a shield while Connor flew around them. The rest of the Team started to aim their weapons down at the two ORDER operatives as Zatanna flew away. Connor smirked and then flew away as well. "We're everywhere!" Ahsoka's voice taunted them. Striker and Xever looked around as the Team continued to laugh. Right then, a series of arrows and plasma bolts started to rain down on the two men. Xever attempted to reach for his sword and Striker for his gun, but they were nowhere to be found. "Are you looking for these?" Miss Martian's voice came. The two gasped as M'gann twirled the weapons in the air before smashing them on the ground under a rock.
Striker and Xever stood aback as Ahsoka, Serra and Aqualad came out and slashed them away. Xever groaned as he felt Aqualad's blade scar his arm as Striker was soon kicked by the two girls. Saw then jumped down and threw two shock grenades at them. Both of the ORDER operatives yelled as they were electrocuted into unconsciousness. Lux then shot a stun blast at the two, disabling them from moving. Ahsoka smiled as she looked to the two Onderonians stand side by side. "For two people who hate each other as Hell, you seem to get along in battle pretty nicely." She remarked. The Team laughed as they left the area and headed back home.
Mount Justice 1956 hours ETC
Batman looked over the Team's records of the battle and the mission in the Philippines for quite some time now. Ahsoka nudged Rebel a bit, who just replied by nudging her back. Finally, after a while, Batman turned away from the screen and to the Team. "It appears now that the ORDER has been mass producing drugs to increase their powers. We will make sure that no drug sales are being held anywhere in the world to ensure full quarantines of this new Symbio Enhancer chemical." The Dark Knight deducted. The Team looked to each other happily before Batman left the Cave. Before he left, he turned to the Team and bluntly said, "Good job." The Team gave the Dark Knight their best smiles before he left the Cave.
Ahsoka smiled as she walked with Saw and Lux, as well as M'gann into the Waterfall Room. "So, what are the odds of you staying here, Saw?" Ahsoka asked. Saw chuckled and looked around as he sighed. "Steela would want me to continue to fight the good fight." He stated. M'gann smiled as Lux patted Saw on the shoulder. "As of now, I'll stay with Senator Boy." He teased Lux. Rebel just playfully pouted as he looked to Ahsoka. Ahsoka laughed as she grabbed her boyfriend and kissed him on the lips. Miss Martian sighed and shook her head as she turned back to Saw. "So, what will your new alias be?" she asked. Saw laughed and rubbed M'gann's hair, messing it up. "I want a name that will honor the sister I had that went down fighting. I want to be known as Gerrera." Saw stated. M'gann smiled as she looked to her hair. She then made a playful growl before running after Saw. "You're gonna pay for messing up my hair!" she teased.
Meanwhile, Aqualad, Zatanna, Superboy and Artemis walked with Robin down the same hallway and sent him glares. "I know, I know, I should have told you sooner about my real name, but Batman gave me orders not to!" he stated. Zatanna chuckled and embraced her boyfriend. "It took some time, but we're over it, so don't worry!" the mage reprimanded. Robin smirked as Zatanna then kissed him on the lips. "I'll see you later." She said, walking off with the others. Robin chuckled as he removed his mask and sighed in relief. He then began to walk to where Ahsoka was talking with Lux and Saw.
As the four were playing, Serra watched them from afar. She sighed as she looked to Saw, whose hair was getting messed up as revenge from M'gann. Thank you for staying here on Earth, Saw. I'd admit my feelings for you, but what would the Team think? More importantly on the matter, what would Ahsoka think? She thought to herself. It could tear her friend apart if Ahsoka knew that Serra was breaking the Jedi Code a bit. She sighed sadly and then turned away to walk to her room. Robin took notice of Serra and raised an eyebrow. What's she hiding? He asked himself mentally.
Bialya 1613 hours UTC
Striker and Xever both bowed respectfully as Sylas walked up to them angrily. "I don't know what upsets me most: the fact that you failed to take down the Team or that the Team was even able to turn you two, my best generals, against each other!" Sylas yelled. Both of the generals looked down shamefully as Sylas unsheathed his lightsaber hilt and activated it, pointing it down to the men. "You can still prove yourselves worthy to me." He stated. The two looked up as Sylas threw some photographs into the air, letting the two generals catch them. "Find me a group of the most lethal fighters, and recruit them into the ORDER." He commanded. Striker and Xever both got up and nodded silently before leaving.
Sylas growled softly as he redirected his eyes behind him. "Alakshmi, what was the progress on your mission?" he asked. At that moment, Syrena walked out in a white dress. "My performance in Mykonos was able to get me the right opportunity to enthrall three of the best male members of the Justice League." She stated. Sylas smiled and turned to her, deactivating his lightsaber as Syrena started to remember her performance. It was tricky, even when Black Canary came. She smirked at her victory, though, and rubbed off the fact that a female member of the League nearly ruined her plans.
"I must say, it never occurred to me that performing undercover ORDER operations while real ORDER operations go on would bring us more successes." Syrena remarked. Sylas grinned as he patted Alakshmi on the shoulder. China White then came out and smirked. "The Chinese Triads are now in your service, Sylas." China reported. Syrena grinned to the Chinese assassin while she snapped her fingers. Three figures then emerged in the shadows, catching Sylas's attention. "These are the three members?" he asked. Alakshmi nodded and drew her sword at them. "We now have Batman, Superman, and Green Arrow on our side." She sadistically exclaimed. With that, the three heroes stepped out from the shadows.
Author's Note: I hope that everyone liked this new chapter. It took me quite some time to do, with Finals and all, but now that they are over and I finished them, I can go back to doing my stories!
