Hello again, everyone! That's right, I'm back! This is SuperHeroTimeFan speaking, and I am coming back to you with another new chapter of my best and my longest story, Path of the Padawan! I can't believe that I was actually able to get my story all the way up to over thirty chapters already! I mean, this is a big accomplishment for me! Thank you all for what you've done to help me so far! That goes for The Christian Jedi, Logan GC, JacklyinKarst, YellowFlash67, Scourge from BloodClan, Flaming Dragon, Robin Rani, Falcongal, Swimmer555, All4TheSnow, JediSpiritMonk, trickster3696, Jenn, pootisman343, Princess9903, Hylianodst, Ahsokanerd, Crashingthroughthesnow, chalant4eva, witchsoul531, Useless Whispers, Crystal-Rose-Lover, Ahsokalo, KrautYank, Ocnarf, and all of the Guests for backing me up and supporting me for getting this far. It means so much to me, thank you all! Now, before I get on with my thirty-second chapter, allow me to get to some of your questions and concerns. Now, KrautYank, thank you for pointing out to me about that little error I made. I forgot that Chernobyl was in the 1980's. I always had assumed that it took place in World War II. That was my mistake, so I'm sorry. Trickster3696, Palpatine will help in the search for Ahsoka, but don't worry. She won't be killed by him whatsoever. Falcongal, Anakin will be on a sort of wild goose chase to find Ahsoka, so his arrival into Earth-16 will be delayed. It will come much later on. Chapter 32: Jinxed
Miami Florida May 8th 1956 hours
It was nearly midnight in Miami, Florida as neon lights flickered on and streets filled with cars, trucks and motorcycles. It was one of these nights where people could just relax and enjoy time as it passed away. Many people walked through the streets of Miami one night as they went on about their late hours and daily lives. A lot had changed ever since the ORDER appeared, as well as the new hero, Ahsoka Tano, followed by Rebel, Serra, Gerrera and Drol. Still, life for everyone could never be better. Cities were now peaceful, more than they were before, and even though a threat of the ORDER was still lurking about, people continued to live happily with no worry.
Although, with all the peace and new acts of heroism, some criminals still roamed free. In the alley nearby one of the seven-eleven stores, a girl was being backed into a wall as a total of three male figures started to make their way towards her. The girl had pink, long hair, as well as a black shirt with a violet dress and some denim jeans, along with black boots, and she had a wallet in her pocket as the gang started to laugh. The girl looked to them and sighed. "You don't want to fight me." She stated, but one of the boys, Snake, simply scoffed at this and took out a pocketknife. "We just want your money." He stated. The girl sighed as she stopped trembling and started to stand up straight. "I tried to warn you." She quipped.
At that moment, she clicked her fingers, and Snake was sent into the sidewalk as the two other men gasped at this. The tomboy looked to the two and gestured for them to come to her, but they just ran off as she started to grin with success. "I thought so." She remarked, taking her jacket from the ground and placing it over her body, walking out into the streets and back home as she tucked away a newspaper and ate one of her two sandwiches. Many of the people looked in confusion as they saw the three men boys running away from her or trying to hide from her, but she took no notice to them as she continued to walk her way home.
Soon, the girl arrived home, which was a large apartment. She opened up the door and looked around. "Yo! Raven, I'm back!" she yelled. She waited to hear a response, but surprisingly, she didn't hear anything. The girl chuckled as she looked around and looked to her newspaper. She then walked into the main living room, where she saw Raven walking out, adjusting herself to a new, white robe in contrast to her azure one. She looked to the girl who just came in and smiled as she started to run towards her. "Jinx, you're back!" Raven exclaimed happily.
The girl, known as Jinx, smiled and laughed as she released her friend from her grasp. "I got you your favorite!" Jinx stated, holding out a Subway Special. Raven chuckled and looked to it. "You always know everything about me, don't you?" she mused impressively. Jinx just shrugged slightly as Rae sighed happily. The blue-haired magician smiled and politely grabbed the sandwich, munching on it lightly. She then looked to Jinx and raised an eyebrow. "Was there something wrong?" she asked while chewing on her sandwich. The pink-haired magician just shrugged and shook her head no as she let out a laugh. "Some guys were causing me trouble, but I was able to take care of it." She claimed, gaining a pat on the shoulder by Rachel. "That's my BFF." She quipped, going back to her mirror.
Jinx placed a hand on her hip as she looked at Raven from top to bottom. "I see that you've decided to adjust your wardrobe." She deducted, gaining a smirk from her friend. "Do you remember when I told you about the Team offering me a place with them?" she asked. Jinx nodded yes as Raven laughed and went on. "I'm thinking of making a good first impression when we join them." She explained, in which Jinx laughed and hugged her friend. "So, you think that the Team would accept me?" she asked. Raven nodded and chuckled. "Believe me, you're my friend, and if I join the Team with you, then we'll be an unstoppable bunch." Raven stated. Both girls laughed as they started to talk over the matter.

Sylas stood with his daughter and Syrena in the main Control Room. Sylas sighed as he looked over what had happened to the Team during the past five months. "The Team is getting stronger since they've been gaining some more new and powerful allies." He stated, looking over to Alakshmi. "If they're learning to adapt to the new events occurring, then it's about time we did so as well." She replied back venomously. Xion nodded and then pressed a holographic picture of a moment of the Team a while back. "Let's see what the Team was up to here, shall we?" Xion mused evilly. The three nodded as they listened in on a conversation the Team had with the Light a while back.
"Her name is Rachel Roth, a powerful magician and the daughter of Trigon." Zatanna's voice said. Sylas smirked as he looked to a mysterious figure in the shadows. "Does this girl sound familiar to you, my friend?" he asked. At that moment, a tall figure appeared, covered in red skin and wearing black, metal armor, walked out and looked to Sylas before nodding in agreement. "My daughter cannot be allowed to join the Team under the circumstances of the power she possesses." He stated. Sylas turned around with a slasher smile on his face as he started to go back to thinking about what to do about the new heroine.
Syrena turned to Trigon and smirked. "If Raven trusts the Team so much, then let's bring the Team to her." She quipped. Sylas nodded at this and patted her on the back. "I agree with you, Alakshmi." Sylas said, but his daughter just raised an eyebrow in confusion. "What do you mean, Father?" she asked. Sylas turned to his daughter and smiled. "She means that trust can turn on others, which is why we have the people and the means to do so on Raven." He explained darkly. At that moment, as if on cue, Barriss appeared from the shadows with her mask on, as well as the Terror Titans, coming out one by one, smiling devilishly as Sylas saluted to them. "It's time we started to take better notice of these kinds of power surges." He remarked. Black Widow looked to him and nodded. "We won't fail you this time, master." She promised. Sylas's smile started to lessen as he looked to the screen of the Team, as well as footage of Raven and deeply said, "I know." With that, the lights went off as they went to work.
Starling City May 8th 2317 hours ETC
Klarion stood in the air as he cackled down to the Team. Ahsoka, Zatanna, Miss Martian, Rebel, Robin and Superboy all stood ready as he scoffed and growled deeply. "Your powers are nothing compared to what I can do!" he remarked, sending a blast of blood-red energy towards them. The six gasped as they ran aside and scattered. Ahsoka and M'gann looked to each other and nodded. They soon started to levitate several objects up into the air, sending them over to Klarion, causing him to gasp and make a magical shield to counter the objects, but failed to see Connor fly in and punch him in the face, sending him to the ground with a thud. "I hate you!" Klarion spat as he sent Teekl to attack the Boy of Steel. Superboy grunted and struggled to take down the enlarged cat as Zatanna ran in with Ahsoka and M'gann now at her side. Miss Martian looked over to the two other males and nodded. "Get him!" she ordered to the Boy Wonder and the Onderonian Senator.
Robin and Rebel nodded as they ran in to attack the witch boy. The Boy Wonder started to throw some birdarangs while Lux shot some rounds from his pistols, causing Klarion to make a lot more shields. Before he could come up with a counterattack, Serra and Artemis jumped down from a nearby building and landed twin dropkicks on him before Aqualad and Saw electrocuted the ground, which was enough to send Klarion back. Kid Flash soon started to zoom around him as Rocket created one of her bubbles around him.
It was now Zatanna's turn to attack. She unsheathed her wand and aimed it at Klarion as she took a deep breath. Her eyes closed shut as she began to focus on her spell. "Erif nrub nordlua-" Zatanna started out, but her spell was soon interrupted when she started to feel a pain in her mouth. "OW!" she exclaimed, getting everyone's surprise. Zatanna started to fall to the ground on her knees as she placed her hand up to her mouth, moaning painfully. "Ow, ow, ow!" she muttered softly. Ahsoka ran over to Zatanna as everything around them started to die down.
Mount Justice May 9th 1125 hours ETC
Black Canary and Captain Marvel looked to Zatanna in surprise as Superman shut down the simulation. Ahsoka shook Zatanna around, only for her pain to increase as she continued to hold her hand to her mouth. "Xanadu, if this is your doing, then I'm coming after you!" the Togrutan yelled, but Zatanna shook her head no. "This isn't Xanadu!" she exclaimed before placing her hand back to her mouth in pain. Robin and M'gann ran up to her as well as they watched with much concern. "What's going on?" the Boy Wonder asked with worriment as M'gann knelt down to her.
Zatanna continued to moan in pain as she held her hand up to her mouth. The rest of the Team started to crowd around her to check if she was alright, but he continued to moan as if her pain would kill her. Black Canary looked over to Superman and nodded. The now freed Man of Steel nodded back as he flew over to the young mage to see what the matter was. Clark took a deep breath before looking down to Zatanna. "Zatanna, I'll need to take a scan of what's inside your mouth in order to see what's going on, and what's causing your little problem." He stated. Zatanna, now crouching on her side, looked up to the Man of Steel and nodded. The Team watched as she slowly removed her hand from her mouth, allowing Clark to use his X-Ray vision on her mouth.
The Team watched with suspense as Zatanna continued to moan, and after a while, Clark's red eyes subsided and her muttered a bit before looking to the Team and nodding. "It's just as I thought." He stated. Robin and Ahsoka walked up to the Man of Steel with confusion as they asked, "What is it?" Superman looked from the Team to Zatanna and shrugged. "She's got a cavity, and if it's not fixed soon, she won't be able to incant her spells as properly as she's able to now." Superman explained. Zatanna's eyes widened at this as she started to stand up and turn to the Team. "It's no big deal, I can handle it." She stated through some stuttering. Artemis raised an eyebrow at her best friend and gestured her hand to the side. "Z, with everyone's best interest, you should really see a dentist." The archer remarked.
At that moment, Zatanna stopped making sudden movements and just stood where she was, not moving an inch. Ahsoka walked up to her and started to wave her hand in front of her face. "Is something wrong, Z?" Ahsoka asked concernedly. After Ahsoka stated that, the young mage shook her head as if she was caught in a trance and looked to them. "I'm fine." She stated. Robin walked up to Zatanna and placed his hands on her shoulders. "What would Zatara do in this kind of situation?" he asked. Zatanna gulped as she continued to hold her mouth with one hand and rub the back of her neck with the other. "Zatara would always tell me to just let these kinds of things wear off over time, and then I should be good." The magic-wielder remarked before walking off.
As soon as Zatanna left, Superman looked to Black Canary and Captain Marvel and nodded before turning back over to the Team. "The League needs to meet right now, so if there's a mission for you, Red Tornado will be the one to inform you." The Man of Steel stated. The Team looked to Superman and nodded before the three older heroes walked out to the Zeta Tubes to get to the Watchtower.
Ahsoka continued to watch Zatanna walk to her room in pain and started to think to herself. A cavity? I've never heard of it before. If Superman says that it will tamper with Zatanna's ability to cast spells, then she must be having a problem with her throat! Ahsoka mentally noted. With that in mind, she went off to her room to find some things to help her with what she thought was Zatanna's little 'Throat Problem'.
M'gann started to think to herself as well about the subject. Zatanna practically froze up in front of us when we brought up the word 'Dentist'. The young Martian stated to herself in her mind before snapping her fingers with realization. She's afraid of the dentist! I'll show Z that there's nothing to be afraid of when it comes to matters like these. She stated to herself. With that in mind, she flew off to her room to try to get some things that would help with her magical friend.
As the Team started to do their own things, Zatanna ran back into her room and panted. She looked to her now-fixed mirror and sighed as she took a peek at her teeth. Sighing angrily, Zatanna picked up a pillow and stuffed it into her face, groaning aggressively. "Why do I even bother?!" she asked herself angrily. The Team would laugh at me for having such a phobia! She cursed to herself. Shrugging it off soon after, Zatanna went and knelt down on the floor, meditating on different matters. I guess I should worry about this later. She said to herself as she closed her eyes and took some deep breaths. Maybe Ahsoka would understand. She added on before finally shaking it off and getting to her meditations.
Miami, Florida 1236 hours
Meanwhile, in Miami, Raven and Jinx were walking around the city. Raven was now sporting a completely black attire, black boots, jacket, and with an exception, torn denim jeans while Jinx had her hair down and was sporting a red jacket covering a black t-shirt, as well as a pair of denim jeans as well. Many people took notice of them, which made Raven sort of try to hide her face away. "Are you sure about this, Jinx?" Raven asked, in which Jinx turned to her soon after with an eyebrow raised. "I'm always afraid to let others see me in public. I don't know what they would think of someone like me." The dark-haired magician added on.
Jinx sighed as she patted Raven on the shoulder. "Rae, if you want to be a part of a special Team of ordinary teenagers, then you've gotta know how to be an ordinary girl yourself." She stated. Raven shrugged at this and continued to walk with her friend, now not seeming to mind the people looking to them. Raven tried not to take offense to any nasty glares, but instead of those, she saw some impressed looks being sent to them. They must like us. Raven said to Jinx through a magical Psychic Connection. Jinx turned around and smirked. We just have to act normal, and everything should be alright. Jinx replied back. Everyone started to send smiles to the two girls, causing the two magic girls to smile back at them.
Unbeknownst to them, two figures started to watch over Raven and Jinx. "Begin Phase 1." The tall, muscular figure ordered. The other figure, shorter and feminine, nodded as she started to glow and walk away from her superior, now heading towards the magicians. "Soon, Raven will be out of the line of heroism and into the ranks of the ORDER." The female stated before jumping off of the building and towards Raven and Jinx.
Back at Mount Justice, Zatanna continued to meditate. Hopefully, if I don't speak for a while, then this cavity can wear off and everyone will forget. She wished to herself. Her thoughts were soon interrupted as a knocking came onto her door. Zatanna sighed as she looked towards the door and nodded. "Come on in." She said politely and clearly, but still soft enough to restrain her toothache.
Just then, Ahsoka walked in and looked to her friend with a smile on her face. Zatanna sent a smile back as the Togrutan walked in and took a seat right next to her. The young mage just closed her eyes as Ahsoka started to lean in closer to her. "Can I ask you something, Z?" Ahsoka asked. Zatanna smiled and nodded. "Ask away." She stated, continuing her meditation. Ahsoka took a deep breath and sighed. "Do you have a problem with your throat?" she asked, causing Zatanna to falter soon after. Ahsoka gasped as she saw Zatanna stop to catch her breath before looking back to her. "Why do you ask?" the mage asked with a nervous smile on her face. Ahsoka rubbed the back of her neck before looking back to Zatanna and replying, "It just seems like it from the way you've been acting."
Zatanna gritted her teeth as she tried to get back to meditating, but sweat started to rise on her forehead as she couldn't get the subject off of her mind. Ahsoka leaned in with concern as Zatanna panted and took some deep breaths. "I have nothing wrong with my throat." The mage lied calmly. Ahsoka shrugged and started to stand up as she walked out the door. Before she left, she turned back to Zatanna and sighed. "I'm just concerned for you, Z, as a friend. You don't have to hide anything if you're nervous." Ahsoka stated. Zatanna started to open her eyes, widening after as she looked to Ahsoka leaving the room. "If I need help." Zatanna said to herself again. Ahsoka, thank you. Zatanna thought to herself before closing her eyes and meditating once again.
Back in Miami, Raven and Jinx walked out of a mall, wearing all sorts of fashionable clothing and accessories. Jinx sent a smile to Rachel and chuckled. "I told you this would be fun." She mused, catching a laugh from her best friend. "I have to admit, you do look good in that half-top." Rachel remarked. Jinx smiled as she looked down to her new flip-flops. "I'll go back and check if there's anything else that we might want." The pink-haired girl stated. Rachel nodded as Jinx started to walk back into the store.
Raven smiled at Jinx. "She's such a good friend!" she exclaimed to herself, walking over to a nearby food court to meet her at. Just then, a gust of wind started to blow by. Raven gasped and looked around, trying to find out where the sudden breeze came from. As she was looking around, Xanadu sped up towards the other side of the table Rachel was sitting at and immediately shapeshifted into Zatanna. She took a deep breath before sitting down and looking to Raven with a smile and a small chuckle. Raven turned back and gasped as she tried to catch her breath.
"Where did you come from, Zatanna?" Rachel asked in a scared voice. "This isn't like you to just sneak up on me." She added on. Xanadu chuckled as she looked over to Raven with a smile. "It's time, Rae. We've been thinking about it, the Team and I, and we think that you now have what it takes to join us." She stated. Raven smiled at this and patted Xanadu on the shoulder. "Where should I meet you?" she asked. The Zatanna imposter chuckled and started to draw a picture with her finger on the table. "There's an old, run-down apartment by the lake. The Team and I will be meeting you there." Xanadu explained.
Raven looked to Xanadu with a confused look on her face. It's not like her to be acting like this. Rachel said to herself. Xanadu raised an eyebrow when she took notice of Raven's concerned look. "Is something wrong here, Raven?" she asked. Rachel gasped and looked up before shaking her head no. "I just wanted to know when I should meet you." Raven lied calmly. The fake Zatanna nodded with understanding before looking to her and saying, "Try to come there in about sixteen minutes sharp." Raven nodded at this before the gust of wind blew again, causing her to turn around.
When Rachel turned around, she was surprised to see that Zatanna had disappeared! Soon, Jinx returned and sighed as she sat down where Zatanna was sitting, looking to Raven with a smile on her face. "So, I went back to the store, and it turns out that everything's half-priced. Do you wanna go back and see if there's anything you might like?" she asked. Raven just stood speechless, still confused about what had happened with Zatanna. Jinx took notice of this and started to close her eyes, trying to find out what had happened while she was gone. Rachel looked to her, knowing that she was probing her mind for an answer and nodded.
"Zatanna came and wanted us to meet her at the lakeside warehouse downtown." She stated. Jinx's eyes widened at this as she started to smile at the same time. Her eyes started to narrow as well, as did Raven's. "Doesn't it occur to you that Zatanna would just appear out of the blue and tell you to meet her in a mysterious place?" she asked. Rachel nodded at this and looked down to the drawing that Zatanna made earlier. "We should at least stay on our guard while we do this." Raven stated. Jinx nodded as they got up and made their way out of the mall and towards the warehouse.
Bialya 1356 hours UTC
Xanadu and Trigon both flew back to the ORDER base with smirks on their faces. Sylas looked to them and smiled. "I take it that the mouse has taken the bait?" he asked. The doppelganger of Zatanna smiled and nodded as Sylas started to chuckle. "This is all very good news, my Terror Titan." He stated, turning to see some new members to the ORDER. "For the time being, we shall have a powerful entity on our side." Sylas added on. "Of course, I mean no offense, Jericho." He stated, looking to three figures walking out of the shadows, one of them looking around with confusion.
"Lab 401, you have been a great help to us." He acknowledged. The three men, Jericho, Nolan and Taiga looked to Sylas and bowed respectively, but the hunter was very suspicious as to what was going on. He grabbed his mentor, Jericho, by the shoulder and growled angrily. "What is the meaning of this?!" he demanded angrily. Nolan sighed as he placed his hand on the young man's shoulder. "Daniel Saiko, you have been gifted." He stated. Danny looked to his two mentors and gasped as he released his grasp on Jericho, who started to step forwards and near him. "You see, back in our early researches, the ORDER came to us and offered something we couldn't possibly afford to refuse." He started out, causing Taiga to clench his fists. "We were researching on the Expanded Universe, and when we found and properly disposed of the Jedi, Yarel Poof, we injected his Midi-Chlorians into each one of us, and only one subject would be made a real Jedi." Nolan added on. Taiga panted as he looked down to his hands stressfully. "That was me!" he exclaimed.
Sylas smiled and nodded at this. "While the other two subjects were deemed to be mimicry of Jedi, they needed you to do their dirty work." He remarked. Taiga looked up to them after panting angrily, this time with his eyes glowing. "You tricked me!" Taiga exclaimed. Nolan gave an iffy gesture before Jericho nodded and smirked. "With the ORDER, we can do so much more." He devilishly stated.
Taiga looked to them angrily as he started to unsheathe his Crystal Claws. Nolan saw this coming and activated his grey-bladed lightsaber pike, running towards Taiga in a Reverse Shien position. Taiga growled vexingly at his former mentor and Force-Gripped him into the air, pulling the teacher towards him soon after and impaling him in the stomach, killing him immediately and letting Nolan drop to the ground, dead. Jericho activated his darker lightsaber pike as Sylas activated his own lightsaber, not approving of the way his new recruit was acting. Daniel looked around before slashing at the ground and running off in a cloud of smoke. Jericho growled and prepared to go after him, but Sylas simply shook his head no. "He has nowhere to go." Sylas optimistically stated. Jericho nodded as they soon went back to work.
Mount Justice 1425 hours ETC
Ahsoka and Zatanna now meditated together in the mage's room, as Zatanna was now comfortable with the extra company. As they were meditating, Zatanna's eyes started to squirm a bit. Ahsoka stopped meditating and looked over to the mage, still floating in the air. Ahsoka gasped and closed her eyes soon after and tried to focus on what her magical friend was seeing.
Raven was in a room, surrounded by the Terror Titans, as well as a mysterious man in black armor with red skin. A blast soon came by, hitting Raven on impact. She soon died off in a loud scream, ending the vision immediately.
Zatanna's eyes went wide open as she looked to Ahsoka, who shared the same sentimental feeling. "I'll tell the Team." She stated. Zatanna nodded as she started to get up to join the others. As Ahsoka left, Zatanna started to run after her, but she stopped so that she could feel her loose tooth. The Team would probably laugh at me for having such a weakness like this. She thought to herself sadly. Shaking it off, Zatanna ran off to the Team so that they could help save Raven from harm.
Back in Miami, Raven, now donning her custom and original navy robe, walked into the warehouse that Zatanna wanted her to meet her and the rest of the Team at. Jinx came in soon after; wearing a black and pink robe, as well as a black streak of hair on her violet hair, and the two looked around for any suspicious activity. "I have a bad feeling about all this." Jinx stated, in which Raven nodded as she looked around to sense for anything. "Even though I trust Zatanna, this all seems like–" Raven started out, but before she could finish up, the lights came on as the Terror Titans surrounded them. Raven and Jinx all looked around as Black Widow readied her lightsabers to kill the two mages, finishing up the sentence with, "A trap."
Falcon and Ultraboy looked to Raven, and then to Jinx and the two raised their eyebrows. "Who's the girlfriend?" Inertia suddenly asked. Jinx looked up and smiled devilishly. "You can call me Jinx. You weren't expecting me, were you?" she asked. Xanadu growled as Raven started to narrow her eyes at the witch. "How come you look so familiar?" she asked. Xanadu smirked before shifting into Zatanna. "Remember me?" she quipped. Raven's eyes widened when she saw that Xanadu was the one who had taken on the form of Zatanna from earlier.
Raven smirked at this as she looked to the nine Terror Titans before looking back over to Jinx. "I see five on my side." Raven stated before Jinx remarked, "And I have four on mine." The two looked to each other and winked to each other before nodding. "Back to back!" they both exclaimed as the two sides started to advance towards them. The two then smirked to one another before they clapped their hands against each other and running off to fight.
Barriss, Xanadu, Ultraboy, Silver Martian and Blood Bane all stood in shock as Raven flew into the air and formed a black manifestation of an actual raven bird in front of them. "Azarath Metrion Zenthos!" she yelled out, causing the large bird to attack them. The five landed to the ground in pain as Raven landed, attacking them in hand-to-hand combat soon after. She gasped as she easily pushed aside Blood Bane's Blood-Bearers and soon twirled into the air to kick the Bizarre Boy aside before countering a spell sent by Xanadu with her own.
She then lifted her leg up high as Silver Martian attempted to attack. The leg landed on her shoulder before Raven performed a split, knocking the Martian to the ground before she got up and looked over to Black Widow with a smirk on her face. Barriss growled at Raven before the mage jumped into the air and landed a dropkick at the zealous Ex-Jedi, sending one of her lightsabers out of her hands and into Raven's own. Barriss growled as she held her remaining lightsaber in her left hand while Raven held the other lightsaber in her right. The two then charged at each other, ready to fight as Jinx backflipped over them.
The Team flew as fast as they could towards Miami in much worriment. "We need to get to Raven before she's killed!" Zatanna yelled. M'gann nodded at this and was about to respond until she heard a shriek of pain. The rest of the Team, in all their separate ships, all looked over to Zatanna as she held her hand up her mouth once again. M'gann looked over to the mage and sighed. "You know, at somewhere near the place you sensed Raven at, there's a dentist's office, so we could go there so that–" the Martian started out, but Zatanna gasped and remained where she was, not moving an inch. Ahsoka raised an eyebrow as she looked to her friend, frozen up once again. "Zatanna!" Robin yelled, causing the magician to gasp and shake her head as if she was in another trance-like state. "I'm fine!" she exclaimed.
Aqualad just sighed at this and looked over to the monitor inside of the Bioship. "Tracking Raven's energy signature, we should nearly be there." The Atlantean stated to the Team. Everyone nodded as they prepared to land near the warehouse so that they could save their friend. As the Team started to get off of their ships, Ahsoka took notice of Zatanna squirming nervously. Something must really be scaring this girl. Ahsoka mentally noted to herself before pressing the Stealth Tech activation button on her gauntlet. Zatanna took notice to the Team and nodded as she started to follow after them.
Back at the warehouse, Jinx jumped into the air towards Falcon and Inertia with a bicycle kick, sending them both to the ground. Enola growled as she saw this and flew down to the ground with a hand lit up. "You'll pay for that, girlfriend!" she exclaimed, but Jinx saw this coming and blasted at her before Falcon ran over to her with a Bō staff raised. Luckily, the pink-haired mage saw this coming and flipped him aside, grabbing his staff and throwing him off to the side. She then looked over to Inertia and Prowler with a smirk as she twirled around the staff. "You want some of this?" she quipped, gesturing for her enemies to come closer. The two growled and charged at Jinx, but she sent an electrical blast towards the evil speedster before clashing her staff with Prowler's two arrows. Both girls struggled as they ran all across the room, clashing back and forth while Raven continued her duel with Black Widow.
As the two wizards were battling against the remaining two members of the Terror Titans, the sound of footsteps started to catch their attention, everyone looking up to the catwalk to see who was approaching. The sound of laughter came next, and Raven started to narrow her eyes at the shadowy figure while kicking Barriss to the ground. At that moment, Trigon appeared, causing Raven to gasp in horror at the sight of her dark father. "It has been a while, my daughter." He loudly exclaimed, causing the mage to growl and send an attack towards him. Trigon laughed as he knocked the blast aside with the flick of his own wrist, floating into the air soon after. "You will do as I say, Raven, and you will JOIN THE ORDER!" he yelled out. Raven just looked to her father and growled, placing out her hand towards him and slowly pulling down each finger.
Before Raven could finish, the wall burst down and the ORDER looked over to what had just happened. Ahsoka and M'gann stood there with their hands extended, smirking over to the Terror Titans. "You won't get away with messing with our friend that easily." Ahsoka quipped, placing her hand on her hip as she activated her azure lightsaber. The rest of the Team soon followed after her as the Terror Titans started to stare them down. Zatanna looked up and gasped at the sight of the evil demon. "Trigon!" she yelled. Trigon, not moved at all, just looked to all of them and gritted his teeth in anger. "Kill them!" he ordered. All of the Terror Titans nodded as they started to run towards the Team, in which Aqualad raised his Water-Bearer and narrowed his eyes at the evil clones. "Strike back!" he yelled, causing the Team to advance towards the Terror Titans as well.
Robin jumped into the air as he strafed down at Falcon while Aqualad clashed with Blood Bane once again. Kid Flash and Inertia both growled as they started to move at lightspeed, dashing all over the place. Superboy and Ultraboy engaged in a fistfight, neither backing down while Silver Martian and Miss Martian had a psychic battle. Artemis and Prowler clashed their bows with each other while Rocket and Enola started to clash with their energized powers. Raven threw aside the lightsaber she had stolen and looked to Zatanna. "Xanadu set us up!" she exclaimed. Zatanna nodded back as she took notice of Xanadu herself gaining on them. "You deal with your father, and I'll take care of my clone." She ordered before placing her hand up to her mouth in pain. Xanadu started to use this opportunity to attack Zatanna. The mage just kicked her away as Raven lifted an eyebrow in confusion and a little bit of doubt. "If you can do it, then I have no doubts!" she yelled back, flying up to clash with her father.
Back on the ground, Jinx started to send multiple blasts at Barriss before jumping on the top of her helmet and performing a side kick at Xanadu's head. She then landed next to the ground and beside Zatanna as the two extended their hands towards her. "Erif nrub nordlua–OW!" Once again, Zatanna's toothache was starting to affect the way she was performing in battle. Only half the power of the spell hit Xanadu, sending her back as Jinx looked over her shoulder to see Zatanna crouching on the ground, cupping her hand to her mouth in pain.
The pink-haired girl then knelt down and looked to Zatanna with concern. "Let me see that." She ordered, getting Zatanna to move her hand away from her mouth. Jinx started to look at her mouth carefully and gasped before raising an eyebrow. "A loose incisor?" she asked in disbelief. Zatanna looked up to Jinx confusingly with a muffled "huh?" before Jinx slapped the toothache mage on the back of the head. Zatanna groaned as she looked back up to Jinx, now spreading her arms out. "A LOOSE INCISOR?! How can you ignore something as dangerous to a magician's powers as a loose incisor?!" she demanded. Zatanna looked up and shrugged as Jinx sent a blast behind her to an attacking Xanadu before helping the daughter of Zatara up to her feet. "A cavity is a threat to magic-wielders all alike! My advice, see a dentist!" she yelled. M'gann flew over while placing Silver Martian in a headlock, looking down to the two mages and rolling her eyes. "What do you think I've been trying to tell her?" she yelled before sending her evil twin towards the skylight.
Ahsoka and Serra battled against Black Widow until Ahsoka took notice to the battle going on between Trigon and Raven. She looked to Serra and nodded. "You take over from here! I'm going to help out Raven in any way I can!" she yelled. Serra nodded as she punched Barriss aside. Ahsoka smiled as she flew up to Raven's side and sending some Force Lightning towards him. "Let's do this together!" Ahsoka exclaimed. Raven nodded and the two started to make their way towards the red demon.
Jinx and Zatanna continued to battle against Xanadu. For most of the battle, Jinx kept getting in front of Zatanna so that she could perform her attacks for the both of them. Zatanna just looked to Jinx in confusion before Jinx placed her hands on Zatanna's shoulders. "You're not fit for battle, so I'll take on Xanadu!" she yelled. Zatanna was about to argue with the other mage, blasting a spell to throw her evil twin off balance. Zatanna then placed her hands up to her mouth again, shrieking in pain after incanting the spell. Soon, Raven, Jinx, M'gann and even Xanadu looked over to Zatanna and groaned. "OH, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, GO SEE A DENTIST!" they all yelled exasperatingly before getting back to their own battles. Zatanna panted as she started to feel her mouth again.
Back in the air, Raven and Ahsoka continued to battle against Trigon. "Azarath Metrion Zenthos!" Raven yelled out, sending Trigon into the wall. She looked over to Ahsoka with a smile on her face and a thumbs-up. "I've been working on my magic ever since." She stated happily. Ahsoka nodded and then aimed her own arm-mounted crossbow at Trigon, blasting him and pinning him against the ground soon after. "Looks like we've both been practicing." Ahsoka quipped. As Trigon started to regain himself once again, Ahsoka and Raven looked to each other. They both smiled and nodded as they flew towards him and grabbed each other's arms, circling around and blasting both Force Lightning and magic at the demon. Trigon yelled as he was sent out of the building. Ahsoka and Raven looked to each other after and performed a high-five, followed by a fist bump. "That's how it ends!" they both quipped, flying back onto the ground and combining their powers again to unleash a very powerful Force/Mystic Repulse, spreading the Terror Titans out thin and knocking them to the ground.
The Team looked over to the two mages and smiled, laughed and cheered them on. "This may not have been an official Team recruitment, but seeing as how good you two are, I'd say that you deserved your spot on the Team." Robin stated. Raven and Jinx both gasped happily as Ahsoka placed her hands on both of their shoulders. "Jinx, you may be new to the whole thing, but we're happy to have you on board as well." The Togrutan Jedi Knight said. Jinx sent a smile towards Ahsoka as Raven hugged her. The Team all laughed at this, but unbeknownst to them, the Terror Titans and Trigon started to get back up.
"If we can't have Raven, then none of us will!" Black Widow yelled out angrily. The Team, as well as Raven and Jinx, all looked over to the ten and gasped. Trigon started to light up his hand with energy and aimed it at the Team. "We also have to say goodbye to the precious Team as well." He added on. Raven gasped at this and watched as Trigon started to incant a spell, causing Ahsoka to reactivate her lightsaber and prepare to attack, but with the overuse of her powers, she fell to the ground and panted heavily. Zatanna started to feel the same as she fell to the ground as well. Trigon laughed as he began to send his blast. "Look out!" Raven yelled to Ahsoka, pushing her out of the way. Jinx panted and threw Zatanna aside, getting in the way of the blast. The Team and the ORDER all gasped as they watched the two mages fade to dust, leaving nothing behind.
Trigon's eyes started to widen with surprise, looking at what had just happened. "What have I done?!" he yelled out loud. Ahsoka growled at this and looked over to the Terrors and the father of Raven. After hyperventilating in anger for a minute, the Team started to stand back as Ahsoka extended her hands. She let out a large and ferocious yell, sending all of the power she had in her towards them. The Terrors and Trigon gasped as the large amount of Force Lightning hit them and sent them away. Ahsoka then panted heavily, falling to the ground soon after. She looked over to where Raven and Jinx once stood and started to sob. "True heroes to the end." She said to herself sadly.
Just then, a large, black portal started to appear in front of everyone. The Team all gasped as they saw two familiar faces appear. Ahsoka's eyes widened with happiness as she started to run over to the two. Raven and Jinx were back! As soon as they landed, they both soon groaned from the rough hug that Ahsoka placed on them. "I thought that you died!" she exclaimed worryingly. Jinx groaned and breathed for air, snapping her fingers to let Ahsoka go of the hold she had on them. "How did you survive?" Ahsoka asked before Artemis ran up to them. "Did you go to Heaven or the place below?" she added on. Raven and Jinx looked to each other and smile before turning back to the Team. "We knew that the ORDER wouldn't accept us being with you, so we created a portal underneath us to escape, just before the blast could hit us." Raven explained. Rocket smirked at the two and patted them on the backs. "You sure know how to fool the ORDER." She mused.
Everyone laughed at this before Raven cleared her throat and nodded seriously at the Team. "In order to hide from the ORDER's radars, we need to go into hiding for the time being." She stated. Jinx nodded in agreement as Ahsoka walked towards them. "When you're ready, come out of hiding and join us." She said. The two mages nodded as they opened up another portal to get out of the area and into a new hiding place. The Team looked to them and saluted, in which the two saluted back and walked through the portal.
Mount Justice 1735 hours
As the Team came back from their mission, Batman was waiting for them. "Did you find Raven?" he asked. Kid Flash nodded and sighed. "She's going to be in touch with us, but not for a while." He stated. Batman nodded and walked away. "So far, you've all done a good job." He stated, walking off soon after. As soon as he left, Ahsoka and Zatanna started to have a talk with each other. The mage looked to Ahsoka with worriment before she took a deep breath and sighed. "It's time I be honest with you, Ahsoka." She said. Ahsoka just raised an eyebrow in confusion as she then asked, "What do you mean?"
"Earlier today, during the simulation, I was afraid." Zatanna explained. Ahsoka looked to her with more confusion as they walked into the Waterfall Room. "What do you mean?" she asked. Zatanna sighed and started to play with her hair. "I have a cavity, something that people have when their teeth get sore." The mage confessed. "I have a fear of dentists, the ones who make your teeth better." She added on, knowing that Ahsoka didn't know that much about Earth yet.
Ahsoka nodded at this and widened her eyes. "So, when Jinx said that you had a loose incisor, then that affected the way you cast spells." She deducted. Zatanna nodded sadly before Ahsoka got onto her next question. "Why'd you keep this a secret away from everyone?" she asked. Zatanna sighed and twirled her foot around before replying, "When people go to get their teeth checked out, they're usually given braces, and some people say that they look weird on people." Ahsoka gasped at this before Zatanna went on. "When I was five, I'd always hear about how scary the checkups can be, and I've been avoiding them since." She finished up. Ahsoka awed in understanding and placed a hand on Zatanna's shoulder.
"Z, if you're ever afraid, you can tell me, and then you won't have to be." She stated. Zatanna looked up and widened her eyebrows slightly. "I can keep this a secret." Ahsoka added on. Zatanna smiled as Ahsoka placed her hand on Zatanna's back. "Let's go see that dentist now." She said. Zatanna gulped and was about to freeze up again, but instead, she took a deep breath and smiled. "That sounds… nice." She replied back. The two smiled to each other before walking off into Happy Harbor to see the dentist for the checkup.
Meanwhile, in Blüdhaven, Raven and Jinx started to settle into their new home. "We should be off of the radar for the time being." Jinx stated. Raven nodded and sighed as she looked out the window to see the city. "Our time to join the Team will soon come." She said to her friend enthusiastically. Jinx smiled at this, in which Raven smiled back soon after.
At that moment, someone emerged from the shadows. Raven and Jinx both stood up and looked to the newcomer, preparing to attack him. Soon, Taiga walked out and looked to the two girls. "Room for one more?" he asked. "I'm hiding from the ORDER." He added on. Raven started to read his mind, and after a while, she looked to him with a smile and a nod. "Always room for one more." She stated. The three then started to relax, waiting for their time to attack the ORDER to come.
