Chapter 33: Betrayal
Vlatava May 11th 1253 hours UTC
In an unknown area of Vlatava to the people, as well as Queen Perdita, a large, stone temple lay on top of a blood-red graveyard mountain. Farmers worked on the ground beneath the temple as a man in a dark robe arrived, accompanied by two figures, one feminine and one masculine. As soon as the leading man walked up to the door, he looked the guard straight in the eye and nodded. The guard nodded back as he started to enter the shrine. Soon, when the three entered, they started to remove their hoods. The figure on the right was Alakshmi, her swords sheathed on her back, and at the left was Striker, his gun holstered at his side. Sylas stood in the middle, looking to another guard and nodding.
"I need to speak with our guests." He stated. Syrena and Striker both nodded as the guard started to stutter as he followed them. "Oh, about them, my lord, their practices are unusual." He nervously stated; causing the ORDER troops to stop as the guard went on rambling. "The servants here have seen things, heard strange sounds." He pessimistically reasoned. "Last night, one of the horses disappeared." He added on. Sylas sighed as he looked to the escort. "Well, you'd better make sure that the servants keep their mouths shut." The head of the ORDER remarked. Syrena then looked the escort into the eyes and dangerously threatened, "Or I promise you, they'll vanish too." With that, the three walked off and started to look around at the fighters in the temple.
Many fighters fought hard in the temple. One of the fighters performed a Vaapad slash at his sparring partner, but he blocked with a Soresu defensive stance as another one of the fighters slashed at his opponent, who blocked with metal tiger claws. Victor and Alakshmi both watched with amazement at the sight of the many trained fighters, all for the purpose of the ORDER. Soon, the three came across a man in a dark robe with his head concealed from everyone else. "Did you bring what I requested?" he asked. Sylas nodded as he gave the mysterious man a large and shining gem. "I have a mission for you, Hansassin." Sylas remarked. Hansassin looked over and nodded. "I already know, my lord. Soon, Queen Perdita will be removed from the throne, and the ORDER will have free reign over all of Vlatava." He stated. Sylas chuckled and smirked at the man before saying, "I look forward to that day when it comes." The two men started laughing, and with a gust of wind, the lights went out.
Mount Justice May 12th 1354 hours ETC
The Team was hanging out in the Living Room, all feeling peaceful, serene and relaxed from all of the missions they had in the past week. Connor was casually flipping through all of the television programs, M'gann was baking cookies, Wally was challenging Dick to one of their video game challenges, Artemis was stretching, Saw and Aqualad were exchanging different strategies and tactics with each other, Rocket was watching Jaybo invent something new as always, and Serra was just meditating. Ever since the day when the Team went to meet up with Raven and her friend, Jinx, Ahsoka started to act strange. After all, she DID unleash a powerful amount of raging Force energy. Serra thought to herself. Shrugging it off, the Jedi went back to her meditations.
M'gann took notice of Serra's troubles and sighed. She placed down her cooking materials and sat next to Serra in a meditative sitting position, closing her eyes and looking over to the Jedi. "Mind telling me what the matter is?" she asked. Serra sighed as she opened up her eyes and looked to M'gann with a slight smile on her face. "I'm concerned for Ahsoka, Megan. When Raven and Jinx pretended to die a while back, she became so upset that she nearly killed the Terror Titans and Trigon." Serra explained. M'gann let out a sigh of sadness as she started to remember what had happened on that day. "Has she been doing this kind of thing often before she left the Jedi Order?" the Martian asked. Serra shook her head no before looking to M'gann. "Has she been experiencing this when she joined the Team?" she asked back. M'gann shook her head no, causing Serra to sigh. M'gann smiled slightly as she placed a hand on Serra's shoulder. "We're her family. I'll make sure that she stays out of trouble." M'gann promised. Serra smiled at this as Miss Martian stood back up to get back to her cooking.
From the hallway nearby, Ahsoka came in, dragging Zatanna with her. Robin stood up from his game with Wally and started to take notice of the noise coming from down the hall. "Oh, come on, Z! You're overreacting!" Ahsoka yelled, coming into the room with Zatanna's hand in her own. Zatanna groaned and struggled some more. "No! They'll think I look weird! I'm begging you, you took me to the dentist, but I don't want to show them what I've got!" the mage complained. The two struggled some more, with Zatanna refusing to come out of the hallway, much to the Team's confusion. Finally, after a while Ahsoka let go, but just so she could Force-Pull Zatanna into the room. Zatanna shrieked as she was pulled into the room, causing the Team to gasp at the sight that came next. Zatanna was now in the room, wearing some new braces, letting the rest of the Team behold the sight. The young magic-wielder looked around and gasped at all the people looking to her. All of them were looking to her with looks of approval, Robin especially.
Robin smiled as he started to walk over to his girlfriend. "Z, you look amazing!" he exclaimed. Zatanna giggled nervously as the Boy Wonder started to place his arm around her shoulder. "Those braces really bring out your smile." He flirtatiously stated. Zatanna continued to giggle as she caressed the Boy Wonder's chest. "Go on." She mused, in which the Boy Wonder laughed and started to continue his compliments. Zatanna then turned around to Ahsoka and winked, in which the Togrutan smiled and gave a thumbs-up. Serra looked to the two girls and smiled. She then walked over to Ahsoka and tapped her on the shoulder. "I need to talk to you for a moment." She stated. The young Togrutan just raised an eyebrow in confusion at first, but soon shrugged as she walked with Serra to follow her.
The two female Jedi started to walk down the halls with Serra letting out a big sigh. Ahsoka looked to Serra with a confused face once again. "What's wrong, Serra?" she asked. Serra turned to Ahsoka and sighed again. "Ahsoka, I'm concerned for your wellbeing, as well as your emotions." She stated. Ahsoka gasped quietly, becoming weary of the fact that her best friend might know about her relationship with Lux. Shrugging it off and clearing her throat soon after, she asked, "What do you mean?"
"I mean that time a couple of days ago when you let out all that power against the Terror Titans and Trigon. You were pretty pissed about how you thought that Raven and Jinx died." She explained. Ahsoka nodded at this and leaned against a wall, feeling her head. "I don't know how it happened, but ever since I was expelled from the Jedi Order, I always feel like there's a monster inside of me." Ahsoka stated. Serra raised an eyebrow and placed a comforting hand on the Togrutan's shoulder. "Have you told anyone else about this before?" Serra asked concernedly. Ahsoka shook her head no before placing her hand up to her forehead, causing Serra to gasp and run to her aid. "I'm fine; don't worry." She reassured her friend. Serra sighed doubtfully as Ahsoka started to walk off towards the Kitchen once again.
As Ahsoka approached the Kitchen, Batman's voice started to go over the speakers. "Team, report for immediate mission briefing in five." The Dark Knight loudly stated. Ahsoka looked to Serra and shrugged, running off with the rest of the Team to find out what their mission was for today. As the Team ran off, Serra just couldn't stop thinking about what Ahsoka had told her. Something doesn't seem right here. She told herself mentally before entering the Main Room where Batman was waiting for them.
The Dark Knight started to look each member of the Team down before pulling up a holoscreen. "Queen Perdita of Vlatava called last night, requesting that you come over to her country right away." He stated. Wally's eyes widened with shock as the Dark Knight sent a nod towards him. At that moment, the holoscreen started to show the face of Queen Perdita, as well as her royal advisor, Nizam. "Kid Flash, I pray that you are there." The young monarch stated. Wally zoomed over to Perdita and nodded. "What is the problem over there, your highness?" he asked. Nizam then stepped up and cleared his throat. "During World War II, Russia and Vlatava had struggles and problems with one another. After the Nazis were defeated, we signed a treaty to cease all grudges against each other, but recently, Russia's top supersoldier known as Red Star attacked our outposts." The royal advisor explained.
Ahsoka gasped at this and stepped up, shaking her head in disbelief. "Red Star, as well as Kyle Rayner and Starfire, helped me take down Sinestro. He would have never gone bad and ended up like this!" she protested, but Queen Perdita just sighed and shook her head in disagreement. "Red Star attacked us for no reason. We need you to come here and help fix this debacle." Queen Perdita stated. Lux stepped up and gestured his hand to the side. "Surely, we can talk to him. Words can always get through to people." The Onderonian Senator stated. Nizam sighed and narrowed his eyes at the Team. "Those are very wise words, but words won't stop our enemies, once they're armed with guns and blades." He remarked. Kid Flash sighed as he looked to Perdita and nodded. "We'll do whatever it takes to get the job done." He stated. Queen Perdita nodded and smiled. "Thank you, my friends." She said before ending the transmission.
Batman looked to the Team and nodded. "Your mission is simple: Go to Vlatava and if you must, take down Red Star." The Dark Knight ordered. Aqualad looked to the Team with doubt on his face before turning back to Batman. "Batman, with all due respect, Queen Perdita may have the wrong story. Red Star could be doing some of this for a reason." The Atlantean reasoned, in which the Team nodded in agreement. "Very well. If you believe there to be a reason behind Red Star's attacks, then you can investigate it, but no. matter what… Stay. Focused." Batman remarked, enunciating the last two words for the Team to hear. Everyone nodded at this before heading off to their ships to get to Vlatava.
Vlatava 1742 hours UTC
Ahsoka sighed as she flew over Vlatava in her Starfighter alongside the Bioship and the Tano. "How could Red Star do something like this?" Ahsoka asked herself as she dialed some buttons to track down the supersoldier. Saw mumbled to himself before replying through the speakers. "It might have something to do with the ORDER." He reasoned, polishing his blaster rifle as M'gann sighed through the comlink. "Even so, if Leonid has indeed gone rogue, then we have to catch him and then we'll try to get all the answers directly out of him." She reasoned. The rest of the Team murmured in agreement as they began to land on the Vlatavan soil.
As soon as the Team got out, Superboy started to look around for any signs of trouble. "So far, I see nothing." He reported to the Team. Aqualad sighed as Jaybo and Lux started to take out some binoculars. "If Red Star was here, then he'd leave a heat signature." Drol stated. Wally awed with impression as he looked to the scanner that the young boy was using. Ahsoka and Artemis snickered to each other as Kid Flash started to use his goggles for any traces of Leonid's activity. Jaybo looked in the other direction and soon enough, the two picked up something. "One heat signature is going west while the other is going east." Jaybo reported. Wally's eyes widened as he then exclaimed, "East is where the palace is!"
Aqualad nodded as he looked to Ahsoka. "Ahsoka, you take Artemis, Robin, Superboy, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Rebel and Zatanna to the palace while I take Serra, Gerrera, Rocket, and Drol to the west." Kaldur ordered. Ahsoka nodded at this and gestured for her team to come with her. Aqualad smirked at Ahsoka and ran towards the other direction, jumping into the air, where Rocket caught him and flew him the rest of the way, with Ahsoka twirling and flying alongside Miss Martian and Superboy, all heading off to find the rogue hero. As Ahsoka was flying, she started to feel something strange in her head. What's happening? She asked herself mentally. Shaking it off for the time being, she continued to fly with the Team as they went to find Red Star.
As Ahsoka flew with M'gann, as well as the rest of the Team, who were running across the plains, Ahsoka needed to speak with the female Martian. "Do you ever get the feeling that you're given a mission, but it somehow feels like the wrong mission?" she suddenly asked. Artemis looked to her with a confused look on her face. "How many missions have you been on before you joined the Team?" she asked. Ahsoka shrugged and sighed. "So far, before I left the Jedi Order, I've only been on one thousand one hundred and thirty eight." She stated. Robin looked to her incredulously as Wally started to furrow his brow in disbelief. Ahsoka looked to everyone with widened eyes as the Team started to look in shock and awe. "What?" Ahsoka asked, spreading her arms out.
Just then, a blast was sent flying past the Team. Ahsoka gasped as she activated her lightsaber, with Connor cracking his knuckles, Robin preparing a pair of birdarangs, and Artemis kicking an arrow into the air to land on the rest of her bow. "Let's go check it out!" Ahsoka ordered. The rest of the Team nodded as she looked over to Wally. "Kid Flash, go and check on what's going on!" she ordered. The speedster nodded as he soon ran over to the source of the battle. Ahsoka then looked to the rest of the Team and nodded. "Stealth Mode!" she yelled. Soon, she, Artemis, Wally, Rebel and M'gann changed their uniforms into a much darker shade for stealth.
When Wally got to the scene, he gasped. "Ahsoka, you might want to see this!" Kid Flash called out through the Psychic Link. Soon, Ahsoka ran over and gasped as well. There was Red Star, attacking a group of innocent civilians! "I can't believe it!" Zatanna remarked. "What the hell is Red Star doing?!" Ahsoka demanded mentally. Artemis readied her bow to get one clear shot at the Russian Superhero. "Someone needs to take him down!" Ahsoka ordered. The archer nodded as she fired a concussion arrow at Red Star after taking a deep breath. "This is sure to knock him out!" Artemis exclaimed. Ahsoka nodded as Lux and Robin came to her side.
Red Star continued to attack all of the civilians. "You're not getting away!" he spat at them. Everyone screamed as they ran away from the Russian Supersoldier. As he was about to land another blast on the citizens, he took notice to an arrow flying past him. Leonid looked in confusion as the arrow nearly hit one of the innocent bystanders in the head. "What was that?" he asked out loud. Just then, Ahsoka jumped out from behind him and landed a dropkick. Red Star gasped as he went aside and looked to the Togrutan. "Ahsoka, thanks for the save back there!" he yelled. Ahsoka just let out a "huh?" before running towards Leonid to stop him from attacking the innocents. "Red Star, listen to me! You've gone rogue! You need help!" she yelled, but as Ahsoka tackled the supersoldier from behind, Red Star was able to knock her off and turn to her to shake his head in disagreement. "Ahsoka, you don't understand what's going on here!" he yelled, but at that moment, the rest of the Team came out and started to attack him while the citizens were making their getaway.
Leonid took notice of this and gasped, sending a blast towards them. "You're hurting those civilians!" Zatanna yelled, manifesting a shield so that Artemis could provide some cover fire. Red Star groaned and sent a punch to the ground, causing a tremor that knocked everyone off of their feet. "What was that for?!" Lux yelled. Red Star sighed as he turned and pointed over to where the civilians were. To their surprise, the citizens were in fact not citizens, but instead they were the ORDER! The Team gasped at this as the ORDER operatives tried to run away. Ahsoka looked to Wally and nodded. He raced around all of them, preventing anyone from escaping. Connor then leapt in and grabbed one of the soldiers, letting the others escape. As Wally and Superboy returned back to the Team and Red Star, the Russian Soldier started to look at them with concern and disappointment. "What was this all about?" Ahsoka asked, in which Robin nodded and Lux readied a pistol just in case he turned on them.
Red Star sighed and started to explain his story. "About three days ago, sometime after we worked together with Green Lantern Kyle Rayner and Starfire to stop Sinestro, I returned to Russia to report to them about the ORDER's new operations across the globe." Leonid started out. Ahsoka nodded at this, remembering the day. "We decided to take action, and our leader was about to go to talk with the United Nations about the subject, but that's when it happened." Red Star added on, remembering back to what had happened earlier. "Our Russian spy, Yuri Lobachevski, intercepted a transmission between ORDER operative Striker and a member of the Vlatavan government. Our ruler of the Soviet Union ordered me to come to Vlatava in order to discover what the ORDER's been up to, but somehow, he was ready, and they have been using camouflage technology to disguise themselves as innocents, making me a fugitive of the law." He went on. Ahsoka gasped as Lux stepped up and deducted, "The Vlatavan government has a mole."
"Correct." Red Star complimented. Robin sighed as he turned to the ORDER operative they had caught. "Now, we just need to make him talk." The Boy Wonder stated. Ahsoka sighed as she looked from the ORDER operative to Miss Martian. "Do what you must." She said to her best friend. M'gann nodded and walked over to the soldier, eyes glowing green as she tried to probe his mind for some answers. After a while had passed, she groaned and fell back, gripping her head in pain. "He knows something, but for some reason, his psyche is blocked off from any telepathic communication." The Martian informed. Ahsoka sighed as Robin started to step up.
He grabbed the ORDER soldier by the collar and muttered something to him, but he still wouldn't talk. Zatanna then stepped up and took a deep breath before incanting one of her spells. "Laever ruoy sterces won!" she yelled interrogatingly, but still, nothing happened. Ahsoka then stepped up and gestured her right hand over the ORDER's head. "You will tell us the ORDER's plans." She uttered, using a Jedi Mind Trick to try to get some answers out of him. The operative shook his head no, causing everyone to groan. Ahsoka panted and turned around, but before she could leave, she turned back and clenched her fist, Force-Choking the ORDER operative. "Tell us!" she yelled. M'gann gasped as she now saw that her best friend's eyes were yellow. "Ahsoka, snap out of it!" the Martian called calmly. Ahsoka continued to pant, but after hearing her friend's voice, she stopped and placed him back on the ground.
Ahsoka turned back to the Team and sighed. "The ORDER must be updating the equipment of the soldiers to make them invulnerable to any kind of magic, telepathy, or Force tricks." The Togrutan stated. Connor sighed after trying to threaten the soldier with his fists. He then turned to the Team and groaned. "We need some way of getting the mole in Vlatava to spill." The Boy of Steel stated. Ahsoka held her hand up to her head and started to think. After a while she looked to Connor and smirked. "Can you knock him out for this?" she asked. Connor grinned and walked over to the captured ORDER operative, punching him in the head soon after. When that was done, she turned back to the Team, as well as Red Star. "I have a plan, but I'll need you to be acting as bait." She stated, directing her attention to the Russian supersoldier. Leonid nodded as the Team started to go over the new plan. "Here's what we do…" Ahsoka whispered quietly. Soon, everyone nodded at this plan and started to do what they needed to do to put it in motion.
Meanwhile, at the Vlatavan royal palace, Queen Perdita stood on her throne, with Nizam at her side. The royal advisor started to wring his fingers in nervousness, win which the young female monarch took notice to. "Is something wrong, Nizam, my brother?" she asked. Nizam gasped and looked up nervously, shaking his head no. "I am fine, your highness. I am just concerned about the rampage that Red Star is doing." Nizam stated. Queen Perdita sighed as her royal advisor started to mutter quietly. "He must be brought to justice." He added on. Perdita nodded as she looked over to a locket on her neck. "Do you remember that day, when we were still so very young, my brother?" she asked. Nizam smiled and nodded. "Yes, I do. When I saw that cobra attack you in the fields, I rushed in and knocked it away, saving you from harm." He reminisced. Perdita smiled and gave a small hug to her brother. "It's because of you that I'm still here, and now as queen of the country." She added on. Nizam sighed and nodded. "Long live the queen." He uttered.
At that moment, one of the guards burst into the room. Queen Perdita gasped and looked down to him as he knelt down to the royal heir to the throne. "What is it, Damaras?" she asked. The guard panted for a moment before speaking. "Your highness, the Russian Supersoldier known as Red Star has just been apprehended by the Team." Damaras replied. Nizam smiled at this and nodded. "Where is the Team right now?" he asked. Damaras nodded and gestured his head over to the door he came in through, where the Team was, with Red Star in shackles and being pushed by Superboy. Ahsoka, Rebel and Kid Flash all came over and bowed before the queen, looking to the ground only. "Your highness, Red Star is now caught and will no longer do any more harm to your people." The speedster stated. Ahsoka stood up and brought Red Star over to her. "It seems that he has been working for the ORDER, and that there is a mole within your government." The Togrutan added on. Perdita's eyes widened with shock, as well as Nizam's. "Come with me, my heroes. We will discuss this matter alone." She said. The heroes all nodded as they started to walk out of the throne room and into the chambers.
As the Team and the queen were walking, Nizam stopped and stayed in the hall he was in. Unbeknownst to him, Ahsoka and Red Star had turned around and taken notice of what was happening. Everyone soon stopped quietly, closing the door as Nizam was left alone with his two guards. Looking around to see if no one was there, he took out a holo-transmitter and activated it. Soon, the silhouette of Sylas appeared, looking to the Vlatavan concernedly. "What news do you bring to me, Hansassin?" he asked. Nizam growled and slammed his fist against the wall. "You answer that yourself! You never told me that Red Star was in the ranks of the ORDER!" he exclaimed. Sylas mumbled and raised an eyebrow in confusion. "I never recruited Leonid Kovar into the ORDER, my friend. I am only supporting you with all the resources I have so that you may fulfill your personal gain." Sylas retorted, but Nizam just growled. "Well, this new ORDER operative is about to expose me to the queen!" he spat. Sylas growled and lowered his head to think. "If that is the case, then make sure to take extra precautions. Sylas out." Sylas ordered before ending the transmission.
Nizam growled and looked to the two guards. "Go and see to it that Red Star is immediately executed." He ordered. The two soldiers nodded and started to make their way to the doors leading into the chambers. Before they could reach it, though, Connor ran through and then punched the two guards, sending them into the wall behind Nizam. "It was you all along!" Ahsoka exclaimed. Nizam started to stutter at his exposure and looked to the teens angrily. "How did you find out?! Was Red Star really with the ORDER?!" he demanded, but all he got was a scoff. "I was never arrested, and I was never part of the ORDER." Red Star spat. That was when Queen Perdita stepped up and growled as she neared her brother and crossed her arms. "Nizam, how could you?!" she demanded angrily. Artemis and Ahsoka both prepared to attack, but Perdita held up her hand, not wanting any interference.
The royal advisor looked down to his sister and scoffed. "I always regretted that day when I saved you, my sister. When we were chosen by our father to be the royal heir to the throne, he chose you!" he yelled. Perdita scoffed and shook her head. "You're like my uncle!" she yelled, but Nizam just laughed at this. "Vertigo is now dead! The ORDER will be fulfilling any wish a person makes, and all you have to do is join their ranks!" he yelled. Perdita shook her head and panted heavily. "You sold your heart!" she spat. "Wouldn't you, for this kind of power?!" Nizam asked madly. Perdita shook her head in disagreement, in which her older brother scoffed. "You wouldn't understand." He spat.
At that moment, he unsheathed a long broadsword and tried to slash down at his sister, but Perdita saw this coming and looked to Wally and Ahsoka with a nod. Wally nodded back as he threw a familiar cane to her, the same one that Count Vertigo used in his time. Perdita caught the weapon and unsheathed the sword concealed within it, clashing with the larger broadswords of the traitor to the Vlatavan crown. Nizam growled and pressed his attack, causing the young queen to back away as she parried back. The rest of the Team attempted to interfere, but Ahsoka blocked them and shook her head in disagreement. "This is Perdita's fight." She stated. Everyone nodded as Perdita started to fight back at Nizam, knocking his blades aside. The guards started to join in, but Ahsoka and Artemis both cut them down as the queen led her advisor onto the staircase. Perdita sent a lunge towards Nizam, but he knocked her blade to the ground and attempted to stab at her, but she jumped off of the staircase and onto the ground below, where Nizam landed, disarmed and exhausted.
Queen Perdita panted as she regained her sword and pointed it to his neck. "You had everything you ever wanted, but it was never enough for you, was it?" she asked. Nizam panted even more as the queen threw aside her sword, walking away. Kid Flash smiled to the queen, but just then, Nizam sprung back up, lunging at his sister with one of his swords. Ahsoka gasped at this and started to charge towards the two, pushing them out of the way before turning her attention to Nizam. "Look out!" Ahsoka yelled, running in with a fist full of blue Force. Before Nizam could land a killing blow to the heir of the Vlatavan throne, he stopped and gasped. Everyone looked to see that he was punched in the chest, eyes starting to close. Ahsoka panted as she pulled her fist away, letting the ORDER operative fall to the ground. Ahsoka closed her eyes and looked back to the Team. "I'm sorry. I did what I had to." She stated. Perdita said nothing and just ran up to her, smiling and patting her on the shoulder. "You did a good job, Ahsoka." She said. Ahsoka looked to Perdita and smiled, and then to the Team, who nodded and smiled as well.
Outside, the Team looked over to Queen Perdita, presenting Red Star with a medal. "Leonid, please take this honorary medal of valor for taking the risks to protect the bond between our nations, as well as an apology for rushing to conclusions and framing you for a crime." She said. Red Star looked down to her and smiled. "It's what I do." He stated. With that, he took off. Perdita then turned to Ahsoka and presented her with another medal. "You have shown great courage in helping to expose the real ORDER operative behind this plot." She said. Ahsoka smiled and hugged the queen, in which Perdita smiled and hugged back. The rest of the Team watched with amusement as Artemis started to whisper to her boyfriend. "I think your girlfriend found a new admirer." She teased. Wally scoffed and kissed the archer on the cheek. "I don't care." He stated. Artemis blushed at this and hugged Wally back lovingly.
After the Team finished up their business with Queen Perdita, as well as making sure that the traitor known as Nizam was taken away into custody, they started to get back to the Bioship to meet up with the others, talking about how their missions went. All of a sudden, Ahsoka started to feel a pain in her head. What's going on with me? The Togrutan girl asked herself stressfully. M'gann started to take notice of the situation as Ahsoka gripped her head in pain. Ahsoka then looked around to see if anyone else was there, but much to her surprise, there was nothing. You can't hide me away forever, Ahsoka. A voice said inside of her head. Ahsoka gasped as she soon opened up her eyes, looking around. No one was there, but she felt like someone was watching her. Shrugging it off, as well as seeing as no one took notice, she continued to walk with the rest of the Team to the Bioship.
However, M'gann was the only one who did take notice of Ahsoka's sudden and recent episode. I hope that Ahsoka's alright. I'd hate it if something were to happen to her. She thought to herself. She remembered that earlier before the mission, Serra told her about Ahsoka's outburst. I think that she went through something similar to that when we were interrogating that ORDER operative, as well as when she saved Queen Perdita from Nizam. M'gann deducted mentally. As she was lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice that Connor was tapping her on the shoulder until she saw his mouth move. She gasped and shook her head before looking to her boyfriend and asking, "I'm sorry. What were you saying, Connor?"
The Boy of Steel sighed and patted M'gann on her shoulder. "I was asking what was wrong." He stated. M'gann nodded and sighed. "There's nothing wrong, don't worry. I'm fine." She reassured her boyfriend. She sighed as she then looked over to Ahsoka, leaning against a tree. "I'm more worried about Ahsoka; by the way she's acting now." She added on. Connor sighed and patted M'gann on the shoulder once more. "We can see to it that she'll be alright." He replied. M'gann smiled and nodded at this as they started to head into the Bioship.
As they were walking, the sound of a vehicle approaching caught their attention. Everyone prepared to take on whatever was coming their way, but they were relieved to see that it was none other than Jaybo and the rest of the Team on a custom-built Landspeeder. The Togrutan looked to her Team confusingly as Serra and Aqualad came out. Serra showed a sorrowful look on her face as she walked over to M'gann. "This one is going to sting." She stated sadly. Miss Martian turned around with confusion as Ahsoka and Robin walked over to see what had happened. In the Landspeeder was a boy with green skin, as well as a familiar face. "Garfield?" M'gann asked, now in shock at what she was seeing.
