Chapter 48: The Light In The Darkness

Jedi Temple, c.20 BBY…

"Ahsoka, I am so sorry… about everything."

"You have our most humble apologies, little 'Soka. The Council was wrong to accuse you."

"You have shown such great strength and resilience in your struggle to prove your innocence."

"This is a true sign of a Jedi Knight."

"This was actually your Great Trial, now we see that. We understand that the Force works in mysterious ways. And because of this Trial, you have become a Greater Jedi than you would have otherwise."

"Back into the Order, you may come."

"They're asking you back, Ahsoka."

"I'm asking you back."

"You're reckless, Little One. You never would have made it as Obi-Wan's Padawan… but you might make it as mine."

"Nothing happens by accident. It is the Will of the Force you are at my side."

"Ahsoka Tano. You have been charged with sedition against the Jedi Order and the Republic itself."

"She will be expelled from the Jedi Order."

"The Jedi are the ones responsible for this war! Fallen from the light we once held so dear!"

"I'm sorry, Master, but I'm not coming back."

"The Council didn't trust me. So how can I trust myself?"

"I know you believe in me, Anakin, but I can't stay here any longer… not now."

"I have to sort this out on my own, without the Council… and without you."

Mount Justice November 27th 0016 Hours EDT

Ahsoka thought about all that was told to her as she looked to her old Padawan Braid. She let out a tear as she started to get on her knees and pray. "I swore that I would always remember, but never look back." She said to herself. As she leaned against her Jedi Starfighter, a tear started to fall down her face.

"I use to believe in forever, but forever is too good to be true." She said to herself. More tears started to roll down her face before she broke down into tears. "I don't know what else to do!" she burst out crying.

As Ahsoka got onto all fours, a voice started to enter her head, faces of a familiar demon also entering her mind. "Don't pretend you're sad." The voice said. Ahsoka started to pant heavily as her eyes flashed from blue to yellow. "Why tremble with angels that aren't even at your side?" the voice went on. The female voice then cackles as Ahsoka's energy started to increase inside of her. "Face it, Ahsoka. All you are… is an empty puppet."

At that moment, Ahsoka yelled and jumped into the air, letting out a Force Repulse and releasing Force Lightning from every part of her body. After a while of letting out her rage, Ahsoka landed back on the ground. Her eyes once again shifted from blue to yellow, but this time, they stayed yellow. Ahsoka placed her hand to her head before walking off back to her room.

Unbeknownst to Ahsoka, M'gann was watching everything from another side of the room. "There must be some way we can help you through this, Ahsoka." She said to herself sadly. With that, she flew on off to her room, watching as Ahsoka entered her own room. M'gann sighed once again before going back to bed.

Inside of Ahsoka's room, Ahsoka's eyes shifted back to blue before she they finally went to brown. She let out a soft growl before her eyes then closed, now asleep.

The next morning, Black Canary called the Team together for their next mission. It had only been at least three weeks since the Team went up against Darth Maul, and yet, the time for them to relax from then had ended.

"Team, your–" Black Canary started out. Everyone listened for what she was going to say next until the Bird Of Prey then looked around with concern. "Where is Ahsoka?" She then asked.

M'gann looked to Black Canary and then to the Team. Should I tell them? She mentally asked herself with doubt. She knew that Ahsoka trusted them all, but upon seeing her breakdown last night, the Martian wasn't so sure if she could tell everyone about the event.

At that moment, Ahsoka slowly came walking down the halls. She had a hand to her head as she approached everyone. "Sorry I'm late." She apologized. The Team and Black Canary just looked to the Togrutan with concern as she approached them. "I slept in late. I didn't see the time until now." Ahsoka went on.

"Are you alright?" Zatanna asked.

"You don't look so good." Artemis added on, the two showing much concern.

Ahsoka sighed and shook her head. "Don't worry, guys, I'm feeling fine." She reassured everyone.

M'gann just narrowed her eyes at Ahsoka, somehow sensing that something was off with her Jedi friend. Before Ahsoka could even notice, M'gann quickly turned back to looking towards Black Canary.

"So, what's our agenda for today?" Ahsoka asked.

"Well, as I was saying, the Terror Titans are planning to steal a shipment of computer parts about to be sent to Empire City." Black Canary explained. She then pulled up a holographic picture of a cadre of who appeared to be ninjas guarding some crates before arrows were sent through their chests, which was then followed by Barriss jumping down from the air and slaying the remaining ninjas with her lightsabers. Black Canary then looked to the Team and craned her neck. "With that being said, you are all to intercept them and prevent the theft."

"We understand." Aqualad said before looking to the rest of the Team. "Let's go!" He ordered. Everyone nodded as they all ran down the halls and towards the Hangar Bay. Black Canary then watched as the Bioship, the Tano, and Ahsoka's Jedi Starfighter take off.

After they left, J'onn, also known as Martian Manhunter, came out of the shadows and walked towards Dinah. "There are times that I worry for Ahsoka." J'onn explained.

Dinah sighed and nodded in agreement as she walked over to the wall. "Yes, J'onn, I know what you mean." She stated. She then chuckled as she felt the very wall itself. "And to think, this was the same wall from earlier this year that Ahsoka threw Batman to." She mused.

"I still feel that even Ahsoka knows something is amiss about herself." Martian Manhunter continued. Black Canary turned around and sighed. "I know." She replied back.

Expanded Universe | Ryloth System, Resolute…

Anakin walked up onto the Bridge of the Resolute and looked to his crew with his Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, onto the empty space outside of Ryloth. "How goes the repairs on the ship?" Anakin asked his Master.

Obi-Wan sighed and placed his hand to his head with much exhaustion. "Well, Admiral Yularen called in the Republic technical expert, Bevel Lemelisk, to help expedite our technical problems." The Negotiator explained.

Bevel then walked in, carrying some tools with him. "I have good news, Generals." The technician stated.

Anakin and Obi-Wan then turned around and looked to the man with the eye patch. "There's no bad news?" Anakin asked.

Bevel chuckled at this statement. "Master Jedi, you should know by now that I, Bevel Lemelisk, am one to never make a mistake or error." Bevel boasted honestly.

Admiral Yularen then walked up to the Bridge and patted Bevel on the shoulder. "Bevel, knowing your work from the academy, you could lay out the best plans for a Republic Battle Station if the Supreme Chancellor commissioned it."

"From what I read about Lemelisk from his files, he definitely could." Anakin mused. The four shared a laugh before the Chosen One moved back onto the matter at hand. "So, did you fix the Resolute?"

"More than that, Master Jedi, I also was able to upgrade all laser defense systems." Bevel said grandly.

Anakin smiled and nodded. "Thank you, Bevel." Anakin said as he took out some Republic Credits from his Utility Belt. "Here's to pay you for your services."

Bevel let the Credits drop into his hand and then nodded to Anakin and Obi-Wan. "It was the least I could do for the Republic." He replied before two Clone Troopers helped him walk back to his ship.

Anakin then looked out to the distance and sighed. "Where are you, Ahsoka?" He asked out loud. Obi-Wan placed a hand on his former Apprentice's shoulder and patted it comfortingly. "I suggest that we meditate to find the answer." The Negotiator suggested.

Anakin nodded and they started to walk to their Meditation Chambers. Before they left, Anakin looked to Admiral Yularen. "Let us know if you make any progress with the search." Anakin ordered.

"I will report every single detail of our search party." Admiral Yularen replied back with a nod. Anakin nodded back as he and his Master left to meditate.

Earth-16 | Happy Harbor 1313 Hours EDT

The Bioship, the Tano, and Ahsoka and Serra's Jedi Starfighters soon started to close in on the depot station. Three feet within distance, Robin activated the Bioship's speaker system. "Ahsoka, Serra, we're nearing the destination." The Boy Wonder announced.

"Prepare to drop." Lux then said from the Tano.

Ahsoka pressed the button on her Starfighter console and looked to Serra. "Prepare to deploy Jedi Cycles." The Togrutan said.

Serra nodded back and pressed the same button Ahsoka had pressed. "Deploying Jedi Cycles now." She announced.

Soon, the cockpits of the Starfighters started to separate from the rest of the Starfighter, and a covered bike emerged, landing onto the ground as they rode the rest of the way to the depot station.

At the Depot Station, Ultraboy and Silver Martian were lifting crates into The Grim Reaper ship. Barriss looked to them before looking to her gauntlet. "How many stinkin' crates are there?" She asked impatiently, her calm demeanor starting to fade away.

"We just need ten more minutes to unload the rest of the seventy-five crates from the yard." Ultraboy reported as he continued to carry crates.

Just then, everyone heard some motorcycle engines approaching. Black Widow turned around and saw Ahsoka and Serra arriving in their Jedi Cycles, followed by the rest of the Team in their ships. "We're dropping your operation, Barriss!" Ahsoka called out.

"Or, I could just drop you!" Barriss then quipped, shot a web from her mouth, which reached all the way to a crane holding some metal supports. She then used the very web to snap the cable, causing the supports to fall down onto the Team.

M'gann quickly held up her arms and threw the supports at Ultraboy and Silver Martian, getting them to drop the crates they were carrying. Barriss looked to the Green Martian and growled. "Kill them all!" Black Widow ordered. The Terror Titans all then emerged from their hiding places and charged at the Team.

"Move!" Aqualad ordered to the Team. With that, the Team all charged towards their enemies. Batgirl threw some batarangs at Falcon, who zapped them all with his taser cord before Aqualad then kicked him aside. Luckily, the Atlantean was quick enough to dodge two surprise blades from Blood Bane, and the two ran side by side, clashing Water and Blood with each other.

Beast Boy was thrown into the air by Kid Flash and towards Inertia. "Getting wild!" Garfield quipped, turning into a gorilla and slamming down on the emerald dasher. Inertia ran to the side, but was then gutted by Kid Flash as he got within a two foot range at Beast Boy. Wally smirked to Inertia before the three dashed off in a speed fight, Garfield turning into a cheetah. "Try and catch me!" Kid Flash taunted as they ran all over the place.

Saw aimed his rifle at Prowler and sent a straight plasma shot towards her. The evil archer dodged the blast, but didn't see Artemis shooting a heat-seeking arrow into the air. Prowler looked up and smirked. "Ha! You missed!"

"Did I?" Artemis asked snippily. Prowler then looked back up into the air and noticed the arrow coming back down. "Not good!" She yelled. Prowler started to dodge the arrow, but Saw sent a blast to her shoulder, injuring the violet archer.

Connor quickly jumped up into the air and then slammed his fists onto the ground, causing a quake that was sent towards Ultraboy. The evil Kryptonian managed to jump over it and prepared to body-slam Superboy, but he shot at the ORDER-produced clone with his Heat Contacts and was sent to the ground. Ultraboy then swung a lamppost at Connor, which he blocked with a railroad line. The two then charged at each other, both attempting to run one another through.

M'gann then started to telekinetically throw inanimate objects at Silver Martian. The evil Martian just cackled and lifted up some crates and threw them back at Megan. Quickly, Miss Martian flew under and dashed right at Silver Martian, shapeshifting into a snake. Silver Martian gasped and turned into a dragon. The two entangled each other in their animal forms before reverting back to their normal forms, staring each other down before sending Psychic Blasts towards each other. The Martians were sent back, but continued to push on with their Psychic Battle.

Meanwhile, Rocket flew towards Enola, the two charged up with a great amount of energy flowing through them. Enola struck first at Rocket with a right hook, but Raquel ducked and sent a left roundhouse kick at her evil twin. Jaybo then shot into the air with a flare gun, temporarily distracting Enola. "Now, Rocket!" Drol yelled to his friend. Raquel nodded and used her gauntlets to wrap Enola around in chains before placing a bubble around her.

Zatanna looked to Serra and nodded. Serra nodded back before the two charged towards Xanadu. Xanadu looked them down and growled, blasting a dark spell at the two. Serra Keto Shan only placed one of her lightsabers out and deflected the blast before Zatanna sent one fire spell towards Xanadu. As Xanadu blocked the attack with a counter spell, Serra jumped up into the air and slashed at Xanadu's robotic arm.

As this was going on, Ahsoka went up against Barriss. "Let's see what you've got, Tano." Black Widow quipped, activating her twin lightsabers.

"With pleasure, Traitor!" Ahsoka exclaimed back. With that, she shot an energized arrow at her former friend. Black Widow gasped and leaned over to avoid the blast, but didn't see Ahsoka then activate her new double-bladed lightsaber. This new revelation caught Barriss by surprise as she blocked an Ataru swing made by Ahsoka before getting hit by a Niman slash from the side.

"You're not the only one who can go double!" Barriss called out. She then unsheathed her secondary lightsaber, using it to then perform Jar'Kai techniques against Ahsoka.

The young Togrutan just dodged the attacks and then unsheathed her yellow lightsaber shoto. "You were saying?" Ahsoka asked snippily. "This is going triple!"

The two Ex-Jedi then started to clash all of their lightsabers together, moving about in a flurry. Barriss leapt at Ahsoka, who dodged her incoming right swing with her new saber staff before parrying off Niman attacks with her shoto and crossbow scabbard. They clashed their blade high before Black Widow pushed Ahsoka away with a kick.

Ahsoka just got back up on he feet and reactivated her lightsabers, performing twin Niman slashes before backflipping into the air and using Makashi techniques against her. Barriss narrowly dodged the attacks and then flew into the air, snarling at Ahsoka.

Ahsoka looked up and placed both of her blades in front of her. "It wasn't just the Jedi you betrayed. You aspersed the Whole Universe." She spat.

Black Widow gasped and then snarled at Ahsoka in anger. "I'm not a traitor!" She exclaimed. "Why won't you listen to me?!"

Ahsoka ignored this and leapt at Barriss Offee, knocking her to the ground soon afterwards. Ahsoka was disarmed of her shoto, and Barriss was disarmed of her right lightsaber. The two, now stained with dirt and blood, charged at each other. Ahsoka and Barriss both performed Ataru swings at each other, knocking aside their blades in the process. Ahsoka charged forward, blade first, but Black Widow just dodged and angrily performed a Vaapad downwards slash, knocking Ahsoka away. Before Ahsoka could strike back, she was sent into the leg of a crane. Ahsoka growled at Barriss and the two clashed their blades once again. Ahsoka circled around Black Widow this time and then slashed her in the back, sending her into the leg. Black Widow snarled at charged at Ahsoka again, who ducked from the first Vaapad attack, but didn't see Barriss's endless Juyo barrage attack soon afterwards. Barriss struck endlessly before Ahsoka was sent to the ground in pain.

"I suggest you work on your lightsaber skills more, Togrutan slime!" Barriss spat. Ahsoka gasped at this and turned around, her eyes glowing blue as she Force-Levitated an unmanned forklift machine towards Black Widow. Barriss simply scoffed at this before she placed her left lightsaber out, slicing the forklift on impact. Barriss then regained her right lightsaber and looked down to Ahsoka. She put both of her lightsaber hilts together into her double-blade before sending a web at her.

Ahsoka was thrown back by the attack, and landed near some crates. Suddenly, she sensed something growing inside of her. Is this what Maul meant?! Ahsoka asked herself nervously. Before she could think any further, Barriss started to slowly approach her. Ahsoka panted and held up her hand. "Don't come any closer!" she warned.

Barriss Offee just laughed before growing her eight spider legs. "Is this what your Master taught you, to beg for mercy?!" she taunted.

"Barriss, listen to me and stay away!"

"What's the matter?! Cat Sith got your tongue?!" Barriss remarked, still feeling as if there were no threat.

That did it. Ahsoka couldn't take much more of the growing danger inside of her as she whipped into the air, her Montrals starting to grow and her eyes glowing yellow with rage as she snarled viciously.

Barriss gasped when she saw this and her hands started to twitch. Two Montrals started to lash at Black Widow, but Barriss easily threw then aside, but was soon disarmed of her lightsabers as the rest of the Montrals started to grab every body part of Black Widow. Ahsoka then looked up to her former friend, and Lightning started to coarse through her. Barriss yelled in pain as the Lightning hit her, and as it kept pouring on, the screams of agony and pain continued and sounded louder throughout the area.

M'gann was about to jab Silver Martian in the stomach with a broken piece of a glass bottle until they both heard the screams and roars. Both Martians looked to the side with surprise, wanting to know what was going on.

"Ahsoka?!" M'gann called out.

"Black Widow?!" Silver Martian then exclaimed.

The screaming and inhuman, vitriolic shrieking went on louder, getting the attention of the rest of the Team and every member of the Terror Titans. They all ran towards where the ear-piercing sounds were taking place and everyone, friends and enemies alike, all gasped when they saw the monstrous side of Ahsoka.

"No." M'gann whispered sadly to herself as she witnessed what Ahsoka had now become.

"By the Force!" Serra exclaimed. "Rage has never been able to drive any living being to do this before!"

Barriss was slammed to the ground hard before getting gutted in the back by the tip of an electrical power line. "YOU BETRAYED THE JEDI! YOU BETRAYED YOUR DEDICATION TO THE FORCE! YOU BETRAYED MEEE!" Ahsoka yelled out angrily in a distorted voice.

"No! NOOO!" Barriss called out in horror.

"WHO HELPED ME ON GEONOSIS?! WHO HELPED ME ON UMBARA?!" Ahsoka yelled out in her still-distorted voice.

Barriss was at a loss for words as the only things that came out of her mouth were incoherent stutters.

"WHO BETRAYED ME WHEN I WAS FRAMED FOR MURDER?!" Ahsoka continued on.

"M-Meh–" was all that Barriss could say at that point.

"AND WHO BEGGED FOR DEATH FROM HER BEST FRIEND?!" Ahsoka demanded to know. Barriss continued to stutter, much to Ahsoka's annoyance. "ANSWER ME!"

"I confess! It was me! It. Was. ME!" Black Widow yelled out, admitting defeat.

Ahsoka looked to Barriss and devilishly smirked, placing her hands out as a swirling black hole appeared on her chest. "SINCE YOU BEGGED FOR DEATH SO BADLY, I'LL GIVE IT TO YOU!" Ahsoka exclaimed.

Black Widow started to shriek in terror as her spider legs were ripped right off and she started to get dragged into the black hole. "Stop! I'm sorry!" Barriss called out, much to M'gann's horror. "You win, I surrender!"

"WHAT'S THE MATTER? AFRAID OF THE DARK?!" Ahsoka mirrored back to Barriss.

"I surrender!" Barriss yelled out. "Have mercy, PLEEEASE!"

Ahsoka just kept her sinister smile as she prepared to drag Barriss to her death.

All of a sudden, M'gann flew into the air and tackled Ahsoka. "Ahsoka, stop!" Miss Martian yelled as she threw Ahsoka to the ground.

Ahsoka struggled to get free, but upon hearing M'gann's voice, she gasped in horror. Her Montrals started to grow back to their original lengths and went back to being only three. Her eyes also reverted back to blue as Barriss was placed down onto the ground.

Ahsoka looked around and panted. "No." She said quietly. Ahsoka then looked over to Black Widow, who was now shuddering in shock. Aqualad and Serra immediately ran up to her. "Are you okay?" Serra asked.

"So… so dark." Barriss stuttered as her armor started to decay away. "Make it stop. Make it stop!"

Ahsoka gasped at what she had done before walking away in shame. M'gann looked to Ahsoka with surprise. "Ahsoka!" she called out, but Ahsoka just took off in her Jedi Starfighter and flew back to the Cave.

M'gann stuttered as she tried to reach out for Ahsoka, but she was already out of sight. Aqualad and the rest of the Team looked out to Ahsoka as well. Just then, Blood Bane cleared his throat. The Team all turned around as the Terror Titans looked around awkwardly. "Seeing as how we're both in tough situations with our leaders, we'll pull out for now, and call this a draw." Blood Bane stated. Aqualad nodded at this. "Thank you." He said. Both sides then started to departure, the Terror Titans back to Bialya with the shaken Barriss, and the Team back to Mount Justice, where they knew Ahsoka would be.

Mount Justice 1813 Hours EDT

Ahsoka stood by herself in the Waterfall Room, all silent as she thought about what she had unintentionally done earlier. Ahsoka looked to her hand and sighed as she let out a tear. "What am I becoming?" she asked herself. Putting her hand down, she then started to think back to her times in the Expanded Universe before coming back to the current time. "I'm a monster." She sadly surrendered, placing her head into a pillow.

Martian Manhunter looked to Ahsoka and sighed. "You can all come out now." He said. Immediately, the Team all came out of their Stealth Modes and walked towards J'onn J'onzz.

"How is she feeling?" Zatanna asked.

"When she got back, she has been trapped in this immutable state." Martian Manhunter explained.

"Maybe she needs someone to talk to, someone to help comfort her." M'gann suggested.

J'onn looked down to his niece and sighed. He was about to speak up until Batman's voice came through the speakers. "Team, report for mission briefing in five."

J'onn sighed and nodded. "I shall do what I can to help Ahsoka." The older Martian finally said. "It is the least I could do after she helped to save the Justice League from Syrena, as well as for all she's done to help keep everyone together."

M'gann smiled and hugged her uncle. "Thank you." She said. J'onn smiled and patted his niece on the shoulder. After that hug, the Team all ran off for their next mission.

As soon as the Team left on their mission, which was to take down the League of Shadows from extracting data from a military base in Qatar, Martian Manhunter walked into the Waterfall Room, walking slowly towards Ahsoka.

Ahsoka didn't even have to look up to see that Martian Manhunter was about to talk to her. "What do you want, J'onn?" The young Togrutan asked sadly. "Did M'gann ask you to come here to try to talk to me?" She asked further on.

Martian Manhunter looked to Ahsoka as he sat down next to her. "I just want to make sure that you were fine." J'onn stated.

"Why would you want to check up on a monster like me?" Ahsoka asked. "I was once a Slave to the Dark Side before, and only after death was I brought back to the light."

"M'gann has gone through something very similar to what you went through during your breakdown earlier, believe it or not." J'onn J'onzz stated.

Ahsoka looked up to the older Martian and raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" The Togrutan asked in confusion.

"M'gann may look like a Green Martian on the outside, but she was born as a White Martian on Mars." J'onn explained, getting Ahsoka in shock. "When once tempted by Psimon to join the Light using her fear of being oppressed as a White Martian, she attacked Psimon, but was blackmailed by Queen Bee, the second person to know about M'gann's secret." J'onn went on. Ahsoka continued to listen as J'onn then looked up. "Eventually, my niece was able to show everyone her true form, the form of a White Martian, and after seeing that no one would push her away, especially Connor, M'gann was able to overcome her fears." J'onn finished up. He then looked to Ahsoka and smiled. "In many ways, you and M'gann are very much alike."

Ahsoka just sighed even more before she placed her head in her hand. "She might have been able to keep it in longer than I have, but holding back an inner demon is like the Chains of Memories." Ahsoka stated.

Martian Manhunter stood up in surprise upon hearing this. "Can you explain more in depth about these 'Chains'? As of now, this is the first time I have ever heard of the term." He asked with uncertainty and confusion.

Ahsoka sighed and held her hands out in front of her, looking down to them as if they were stained. She let out a tear as she shook her head. "The Chains, they're the easy part." She started out. J'onn just looked down to Ahsoka with concern and continued to listen as Ahsoka placed up a hand to her head. "It's what goes on in here that's hard." She finished up. "My deepest memories haunt me every day, making me think back to what I had gone through in every single day and battle of the Clone Wars, becoming wounds that never heal." Ahsoka also added on.

J'onn gasped at this and then placed a comforting hand on Ahsoka's shoulder in an attempt to comfort her. "We are all afraid of our pasts, Ahsoka, but there are times that we must learn to face them and overcome our adversities." J'onn stated. Ahsoka looked up to Martian Manhunter as he continued to try and comfort her. "After all, We are all only human, in a way."

Ahsoka scoffed and got J'onn's hand off of her shoulder. "That's easy for you to say when you weren't turned and betrayed by the Dark Side." She remarked. "I've had to live every day, thinking about the bite that brought me to Hell."

J'onn sighed and sat back down in his seat. "Perhaps it would be better if you were to tell me more about your past." The Martian suggested. Ahsoka looked to J'onn in surprise before he went on, getting a calmer demeanor in his tone. "When you share your experiences, you will feel better, and I can try to help teach you how to avoid facing the mistakes that you might have once made." J'onn went on.

The young Togrutan Ex-Jedi started to think about this. Couldn't keep this in. Heaven knows I've tried, but now everyone knows about what I can't hold back anymore. She thought to herself. After having these thoughts, she turned back to J'onn and sighed, shaking her head. "I'm sorry, but I'm not comfortable talking about my past." She finally said.

J'onn gaped at this before standing up and nodding. "I understand, Ahsoka. If you need time to yourself about your dilemma, then I shall respect your wish." He said. As he walked out the door, he turned back to Ahsoka one last time. "I'll be in the Cave for the rest of the time if you ever need me to talk to again." He stated. With that, he walked off, leaving Ahsoka lost in her own Mind Garden, secrets in grey, and all roads leading to dead ends.

In the Expanded Universe on the Resolute, Anakin and Obi-Wan meditated within their chambers, trying to find out where Ahsoka was right now. "Feel the Force flow through you." Obi-Wan said as he meditated.

"Bar all distractions around you, and let your thoughts run." Anakin added on. The two then continued to mediate, and they could slowly feel all of space and time moving around them quickly.

On Earth, Ahsoka was also meditating in the Waterfall Room. "What is my center?" She asked herself. Ahsoka remembered that she asked Vixen the same question, and if that helped Mari control her inner demon, it just might help Ahsoka find the solution to her problems as well. Slowly, she could start to remember everything she went through, starting with meeting the Team for the first time in January.

"Hello, Megan! You saved us! Thank you!" M'gann said as Ahsoka met the Team after saving them all from Toyman.

"I don't know if I can even trust anyone!" Ahsoka remembered herself saying to the Team after Batman attempted to get a sample of her blood.

"Don't get snippy!" Artemis teased Ahsoka from her first mission to Japan.

"Let's see what the Force can really do!" Zatanna stated, Ahsoka remembering the first time they had a friendly fight with each other.

"Quite the Hang-Out, huh?" Rocket asked after Ahsoka helped the girls of the Team save a group of children from a runaway fuel tanker.

"You can't win against your own darkness!" Darth Maul then exclaimed. Ahsoka then started to get visions of her fight with Maul, and then experiencing Raven and Jinx supposedly die at the hands of Trigon.

Ahsoka got up and gasped. "That man in the tanker!" She exclaimed, remembering his face.

"The red markings on his face seemed too familiar!" Ahsoka thought as she got the drunk driver of the fuel tanker out. There were red markings on his face, and his skin was pale white.

"And that power I unleashed on the Terror Titans and Trigon!" Ahsoka continued to think.

Finally, Ahsoka's eyes widened with shock as she ran out of the Waterfall Room. "That power wasn't from me!" She wailed. The image of the pale white man with red markings entered her head again, as well as another man just like him, impaling her with a dagger.

Horror started to ring in Ahsoka's ears as the reason for her violence soon came to her. "The Son!" She stated, getting onto her knees.

J'onn ran into the hallways upon hearing Ahsoka have her breakdown. As soon as he saw Ahsoka on her knees, black mist started to engulf all around her. "I fell to the Dark Side, and never came back." Ahsoka said to herself with despair, dark purple cracks starting to cover her body.

"Ahsoka!" J'onn yelled as he ran towards the Togrutan Jedi Padawan. Upon reaching her, J'onn started to feel a tremor in his mind. "This… scourge of darkness." He says to himself as he looked to Ahsoka. "It's starting to kill you!"

Ahsoka did nothing to resist and continued looking down in despair. "Let it. Let it kill me then. I've lost the will to use the Power of the Light of the Force." Ahsoka replied in a deep, depressed monotone voice.

J'onn glared and shook his head, placing his hand onto Ahsoka's forehead. Ahsoka just looked up before letting out some tears and looking back down again. "NO DARKNESS WILL OVERRULE YOU! I REFUSE TO LET IT HAPPEN!" Martian Manhunter exclaimed. He then closed his own eyes before letting out a tear. "Forgive me, Ahsoka, but I shall do what I must in order to save you." He said mentally. With that, a bright flash of light filled the room, and the Psychic Form of J'onn J'onzz appeared, entering into Ahsoka's subconscious.

As J'onn entered, a man in a white robe appeared from a hallway, silently walking towards the two. "It is time." He said to himself. With that, he placed his hand on Ahsoka's shoulder, starting to glow with light as well.

"What did you just call me?! Don't get snippy with me, little one! You know, I don't even think you're old enough to be a Padawan." J'onn heard Anakin say as he traveled deep into Ahsoka's mind.

"What are you trying to prove anyway?"

"That I'm not too young to be your Padawan."

The voices continued to go on as J'onn traveled deeper.

"Master, I'm sorry I let you down."

"I know. I was once a Padawan myself not too long ago."

Suddenly, J'onn noticed that the path down into Ahsoka's deep mind was starting to shift from a blue light to a yellow darkness. "The darkness within Ahsoka!" J'onn exclaimed.

"Are you happy, child? Your Master, does he treat you well?"

"What concern of it is yours?"

"I am your future. Your potential."

"This is a trick!"

"There is a wildness to you, young one. Seeds of the Dark Side planted by your Master. Do you feel it?"

"No! He is like no other Jedi! Passionate, impulsive… but I trust him with my life!"

"There are many contradictions in you. And in him. Be warned, you may never see your future if you remain his Student!"

"Are you proud… of me, Master?"

"What? Uh, of course, snips, 'course I'm proud of you, now, let's get out of here."

"He's right, right about everything, you must join him. He only wants what's best for the universe."

"Ahsoka what's wrong with you?"

"Always with the criticism, Master. Never really believing in me, trusting me! Well, I don't need you anymore!"

"Ahsoka, Ahsoka listen to me, he's done something to you, snap out of it! This isn't you, Ahsoka!"

"Isn't it?! I feel more like myself than I ever have. He asked me to give you a message."

"Who?" Martian Manhunter asked himself with confusion before he finally reached the end of the trail of voices.

"He said if you don't join him, he will kill me."

"I won't let him!"

"Then you will be forced to kill me!"

Upon hearing a lightsaber activate in the sound of an animal growl, Martian Manhunter finally reached Ahsoka's subconscious and gasped in horror at what he saw. He stood in the middle of what appeared to be a large room, in flames and in ruins.

"What is this?!" Martian Manhunter asked. He started to run around throughout the ruination of the mindscape and began looking around. "Reveal yourself, scourge of darkness!" he called out. There was no response to this. Wanting to know what was causing Ahsoka so much trouble, he turned a corner, only to find a larger room, filled with more flames and the sky being pitch black. In the middle of the room stood Ahsoka, engulfed in dark mist and black veins growing all over her body.

Before J'onn could approach her, another Ahsoka walked into the room. She was completely covered in dark veins all over her body, her eyes were yellow, and she wore a black robe. "Do you see now?" the other Ahsoka asked. The Ahsoka in the middle of the room trembled in despair as her dark self approached her. "Everything that happened was all your fault."

"Who the Hell are you?!" Ahsoka called out to her Dark Self. J'onn continued to watch in horror as the Dark Ahsoka stood in front of her original.

"I am the other you." The Dark Ahsoka stated sinisterly and sadistically. "Just as Anakin Skywalker had a Dark Side to himself, I… am yours."

Ahsoka started to back away in fear, but the Dark Ahsoka stood where she was. "Accept me." The Evil Ahsoka tempted. Ahsoka just shook her head no, but her darker self just smirked, making it seem as if her jaw became dislocated upon smiling. "If we become one, we'll be forever known as the Strongest Lords of the Universe!" the accumulation of evil stated. "If we do that, we can rebuild the universe in our image! There will ne no need to hide! And together, you and I can rule the galaxy! We can make things the way we want them to be!" Ahsoka's demon went on. Ahsoka, now driven to despair backed away nervously again, but her Dark Side ran up to the Ex-Jedi, a red and bloodthirsty smirk now emerging on her face. "Join… me." Dark Ahsoka repeated, this time calmer.

Ahsoka started to think about the choice she was about to make as she looked deeply straight into her Darker Side's eyes. I won't have to fear betrayal again. Ahsoka thought to herself. The Dark Ahsoka, knowing exactly what her original was thinking, nodded before dark thoughts started to fill Ahsoka's inner subconscious. She nervously panted, sweat pouring down the side of her head, as she continued to think.

J'onn watched this all happen with suspense. "Don't do it, Ahsoka." The Martian urged from afar.

It was too late. With the Dark Side of the Force guiding and influencing her, Ahsoka nodded, accepting what the Devil was offering her. Dark Ahsoka viciously grew a bizarre, wide smile on her face and reached out to Ahsoka's chest. Slowly, Ahsoka started to wait for her fate.

J'onn J'onzz gasped at what he was seeing. "Driven by fear!" he exclaimed. The Dark Ahsoka's hand soon touched above where the real Ahsoka's heart was, and then both bodies started to merge together, as the Dark Ahsoka's hand soon fell into Ahsoka's heart.

Martian Manhunter couldn't take this anymore and burst into the room. "You!" J'onn exclaimed, getting the evil twin's attention as she shifted her eyes to the side. "Who are you?!" he demanded.

Dark Ahsoka turned around as she continued to merge with Ahsoka, now yelling in pain. The Dark Warrior just smirked and flipped the bird at him. After merging with Ahsoka some more, she twirled around and placed her body in front of Ahsoka's, starting to become a whole with her. J'onn was then taken back by a large gust of wind that was caused by the convergence as Dark Ahsoka looked to Martian Manhunter with a devilish smirk on her face.

"The offspring of the Son of Mortis…" Dark Ahsoka started out before her small smile transformed into a much more devilish smirk than before, bigger and more deadly. "Gemini Rouge!"

The convergence soon completed, and the real Ahsoka started to cease to exist. Gemini took a deep breath before sending a Slasher Smile at J'onn, who gasped with horror. Gemini Rouge spread out her arms and unleashed a Force Repulse, making everything around in the dreamscape her own Dark Shrine of Mortis. She looked around to what she created before laughing. "I…" Gemini started out, shocking J'onn. "Am no longer an illusion in the mind!" she exclaimed. J'onn then flew up into the air as Gemini unsheathed two black lightsaber hilts. "I finally exist!"

J'onn glared at Rouge angrily as she then shot Sith Lightning at him. J'onzz gasped and created a mental barrier, but the Lightning was sent right through it, hitting Martian Manhunter on impact. Martian Manhunter groaned as he got up, but was then attacked by Gemini's red blade. Quickly avoiding it, J'onn flew off in a smokescreen.

Seeing as how he had no chance, Martian Manhunter felt that retreat was his best option by far. "I must find someone to help Ahsoka!" J'onn exclaimed, entering a bluish-red portal, which led down a path full of more of Ahsoka's memories. He started to see more memories and hear more voices as he traveled down, but Lightning started to fill the tunnel behind him, followed by sinister laughter from Gemini Rouge. "I must hurry!" J'onn thought to himself, looking to more on Ahsoka's past.

"So, what's the plan?" Ahsoka asked Anakin on her first field mission.

"Oh, I thought you were the one with the plan."

"No, I'm the one with enthusiasm. You're the one with experience, which I'm looking forward to learning from."

J'onn looked onto all of the memories before coming across some more.

"I heard you did well, my Padawan." Anakin told Ahsoka as some Clone Troopers carried her on a medical bed.

"All because of your training."

"Yeah, I probably deserve most of the credit."

Ahsoka rolled her eyes in playful exasperation upon hearing this.

"But not all of it." Anakin then corrected himself.

"It's a good thing you don't mean everything you say."

J'onn looked onto the memory before he came across a memory that glowed golden like the sun.

"Ahsoka, wait!"

She didn't stop to look behind her. She shook her head, not wanting to look back, but Anakin kept running towards her. Ahsoka kept walking and Anakin started to run faster.

"Ahsoka, I need to talk to you!"

She finally turned to face Anakin with a sad look in her eyes.

"Why are you doing this?"

"The Council didn't trust me, so how can I trust myself?" She crossed her arms and turned her head away from Anakin.

"So she renounced the Jedi Order because of self-doubt? How could she go all this way to prove her innocence to just give up now?" Martian Manhunter wondered to himself.

"What about me? I believed in you. I stood by you." Anakin seemed to be only angered by her logic.

The same sad look showed in her eyes. "I know you believe in me, Anakin, and I'm grateful for that, but this isn't about you. I can't stay her any longer, not now."

"The Jedi order is your life. You can't just throw it away like this! Ahsoka, you are making a mistake."

"Maybe, but I have to sort this out on my own. Without the Council… and without you."

Anakin remained silent. Then he looked the opposite way, acknowledging her decision. "I understand. More than you realize, I understand wanting to walk away from the Order."

"I know." Ahsoka began walking again. As she walked, Anakin gasped and looked up. Ahsoka could feel Anakin looking to her sadly as she finally walked down the stairs of the Jedi Temple, walking off to find her own way.

Martian Manhunter gasped upon seeing the hope seen in this memory. "Ahsoka left the Jedi Order, yet Anakin was the only one to believe in her!" he exclaimed. Quickly flying off to another vision of Anakin walking with her in the Senate Building, he began to fly off faster than his body could carry him. "Anakin Skywalker, I need you!" he called out, flying towards Anakin Skywalker himself.

In the Expanded Universe, Anakin continued to meditate. Obi-Wan sighed as he continued to meditate as well. He was about to open his eyes until a voice started to enter their heads.

"Anakin!" the voice called out. Anakin and Obi-Wan both gasped as they started to dig deeper into their subconscious minds.

Anakin and Obi-Wan soon found themselves in the Council Chambers of the Jedi Temple. "Where are we?" Obi-Wan asked.

"I need your help!" The voice called out again. Both Anakin and Obi-Wan then activated their lightsabers in response.

"Who's there?!" Anakin demanded. "What do you want with us?!"

At that moment, Martian Manhunter flew out of a portal, finally revealing himself to them. Both Jedi Knights began to aim their lightsabers at him, but J'onn placed up his hands in defense. "I mean no harm!" he called out.

"Who are you?" Anakin asked.

J'onn panted before answering, "I am J'onn J'onzz of the Planet Mars, also known as Martian Manhunter, a hero."

Obi-Wan placed his hand to his chin and started to think. "I suggest you change your name, Mr. J'onzz." He stated.

"I need your help!" Martian Manhunter exclaimed.

"What for?" Anakin asked.

Martian Manhunter sighed deeply. "I have no time to explain!" he yelled. He then opened up the portal and pulled Anakin and Obi-Wan through. The two Jedi yelled as they were taken down the Path of Memories. "Ahsoka is in danger!" J'onn exclaimed.

Anakin gasped upon hearing this. "Where's Ahsoka?!" he demanded.

J'onn turned back around to the two of them and craned his neck. "She's in danger from the Dark Side!" he exclaimed. Both Anakin and Obi-Wan looked to each other in shock before they were suddenly ejected from their Path, landing in the burning Jedi Temple and seeing Gemini Rouge land from the sky.

"Ahsoka?!" Anakin called out in disbelief.

"Her Dark Side has taken her over." J'onn explained.

"No!" Anakin exclaimed.

Obi-Wan looked Ahsoka all over, observing her. "I sense the Son's Dark Presence within her." He stated.

Gemini Rouge just looked them all at once and laughed madly. "Two Jedi, and a Martian?!" she remarked. Anakin and Obi-Wan both activated their lightsabers as Martian Manhunter stood ready with them. "Finally! A challenge!" she exclaimed. With that, she activated her double-bladed lightsaber and her shoto, both glowing with red blades.

Anakin panted in anger and anxiety before he and Obi-Wan charged at Gemini Rouge. J'onn flew up into the air to join in, but Rouge just shot an energized arrow at him before getting a kick to the chest by Obi-Wan. Ahsoka was hardly fazed by this, only being pushed back a couple of feet. "Alright, then." Gemini remarked, charging at the two Jedi.

Gemini Rouge swung high and low with her new double-bladed lightsaber and her yellow lightsaber shoto, causing the two Jedi Knights to dodge every single time. Anakin attempted to strike low while Obi-Wan Kenobi tried to dismember her arm. Using her three blades, Gemini laughed madly and blocked them all with her blades crossed at every strike. She started to sweep at the ground, and then sent Force Lightning towards her two Masters. As they easily dodged and charged, Gemini jumped into the air with a perfect split and kicked them both.

Anakin looked back to Gemini and started to inspect her. "I don't want to fight you, Ahsoka!" he called out.

"My name… is Gemini Rouge! Born from the Darkness of Ahsoka Tano's heart!" Gemini yelled back. Anakin gasped as Gemini started to charge at him. Anakin started to charge back. "I guess I have no choice then!" he exclaimed.

She was using a Juyo fighting style. Not even Anakin knew what was making her so aggressive to master this style. Gemini Rouge slashed and thrust, but Anakin was using a Soresu defensive stance. Gemini then shrieked and screamed as she attempted to destroy the strong position. She could notice the sorrow and pity in her Master's eyes, but continued to attack. She smirked when she saw the Chosen One's defense weakening. Rouge lunged an unusually strong amount of Force Lightning at the Chosen One while still using that opportunity. His lightsaber fell from his hands, but Anakin still managed to block the shocks. It didn't last for long, however, as he was soon pushed back. J'onn flew in to help, and he and Obi-Wan held the Lightning. Anakin gasped at Gemini. He had no idea where the power was coming from, but wanting to save Ahsoka, Anakin still pressed on.

Gemini Rouge granted that her former Jedi Masters were strong. Martian Manhunter then used his powers to send the Lightning back at Rouge, much to her surprise. Both surges of powerful Lightning sent the two flying across the area. Gemini was sent tumbling backwards, over the edge of the apocalyptic Temple. She was about to fall over the edge until she started to laugh, transforming into the large Gargoyle form of the Son and then flying back. As Anakin, Obi-Wan and Martian Manhunter recovered, Gemini Rouge threw herself at the three of them. Anakin attempted to regain his lightsaber, but Rouge blasted it aside with Sith Lightning before grabbing Anakin by the throat and then tossing him over the side.

Luckily, Anakin was able to regain his lightsaber during the fall, and got back up after Gemini knocked him aside. He grunted and charged at his fallen Padawan Apprentice head-on, but Gemini jumped into the air and slashed his back, causing Anakin to falter once again. Rouge attempted to land her blade on Anakin, but he placed up his lightsaber in defense, sending the blade away with an Ataru slash while trying to get back up on his feet. Gemini angrily attempted to swing with Vaapad rage, but Anakin dodged and prepared a Shii-Cho overhead strike, but was blasted in the Stomach with more Sith Lightning, sending him to the ground. "Get up!" Gemini ordered, slowly walking towards Anakin. Anakin gasped and nearly dodged a killer swing from Gemini's lightsaber, getting back up onto his feet soon afterwards.

Anakin attempted to get away, but he felt a pain in his chest. "Ahsoka!" he called out in agony one more time before falling to the ground. Gemini then ran over towards Anakin, preparing to finish him off.

Just then, J'onn then jumped in the way of Gemini's path, grabbing Anakin's fallen lightsaber and swinging at the Evil Twin of Ahsoka with it. Gemini growled as J'onn retreated to tend to Anakin, leaving Obi-Wan to deal with the Dark Ahsoka. "Stay away!" he yelled, but Rouge just slashed him aside before seeing J'onn fly up with Anakin to the higher grounds.

J'onn started to inspect Anakin's wound. "Ahsoka, come back to me!" Anakin called out in pain. J'onn quickly hovered his hand over Anakin's chest in an attempt to heal him. "Why, Ahsoka, why?!" Anakin continued to call out. J'onn just let out a tear, thinking back to his own niece when she was in the same predicament.

At that moment, Gemini Rouge jumped up, throwing Obi-Wan Kenobi aside as she looked to J'onn. "You will pay for your interference!" she exclaimed. With that, she activated her blood-red lightsaber and held it up in the air, slowly approaching the Martian. J'onn did nothing and just sat where he was as he still tended to Anakin. Gemini just hissed at him before looking down to the injured Anakin Skywalker.

Gemini glared at her former Jedi Master for a while before gasping and faltering backwards. She started to gasp in horror as she continued to walk back. In the process of doing so, she started to feel a pain go into her heart as she got onto her knees, now dropping her lightsaber.

"You… Bastard!" she coldly cursed. Not long after, half of her started to glow blue. The real Ahsoka Tano then started to emerge, fighting off against Gemini Rouge. "You're… trying to separate from me?!" she demanded. There was a struggle between the two before the real Ahsoka Tano finally split from her Dark Side, the two being sent flying to opposite sides of the room.

Anakin gasped as he now saw his pure Padawan Apprentice, on the ground and clenching her chest. After getting rid of the pain, Ahsoka got up and looked down towards Anakin. "I understand." She stated, letting go of her chest. "Master!" she exclaimed loudly this time. Anakin painfully looked to Ahsoka with a smile, still trying to regain his strength. "I… finally understand!"

Gemini panted and looked up to her original self. "What are you blabbering about?!" she demanded in disbelief. J'onn and Obi-Wan both looked to Gemini with shock as she tried to get up. "Get back inside of me!" Rouge then yelled. Ahsoka then turned her head over to Gemini as she continued to struggle. She panted before showing a face of sorrow. "If we get rid of Anakin here and now… we can still escape from the past that did us wrong and recreate everything in our own image, just was we want it to be!"

"Is it what YOU want, or what Ahsoka wants?" a voice then said. Ahsoka, J'onn, Anakin and Obi-Wan then looked to the hole in the wall of the Temple and saw a man in white robes and a Japanese ethnicity walking towards them.

Ahsoka immediately recognized the man. "Hayate?" she asked, remembering the mysterious man she accidentally bumped into when helping Superman against Toyman.

Hayate nodded and looked down to Gemini. "You will not get away with corrupting Ahsoka again." He remarked to the evil enigma.

Anakin continued to try to recover as he looked over towards Hayate. "Corrupting Ahsoka again?" he asked in confusion.

"You can't order anyone you can't control, Old Man!" Gemini spat back.

"But I can!" another voice then said. Ahsoka looked into the air after hearing this voice and gasped. An angelic figure, looking like a younger Ahsoka, emerged from the sky and stood next to Hayate. "Ahsoka is pure, and she cannot be corrupted by the likes of you!"

"The Daughter?!" Ahsoka exclaimed, looking over her younger self carefully. The younger Ahsoka nodded before the real Ahsoka looked up to Hayate. "Then that means…"

"Yes, Ahsoka, it is me." Hayate said. With that, both figures started to transmute, the young Ahsoka Tano becoming an Angelic Girl with green hair and white robes while Hayate became an older figure with a white, long beard and blue robes in contrast to the Daughter. "When Barriss Offee nearly killed you in your first encounter with the Terror Titans, my Son took on the form of his Sister, and gave you powers that would be fueled by your emotions." The Father explained. "I then entered the physical world in my own form and tried to give you hope by showing you not to fear your past."

"And the pictures of the portal from this Universe to the next was supposed to give meaning that I had nothing to fear of my home." Ahsoka deducted, getting a nod from the Father before the Daughter went on.

"However, I still lived within you, and managed to help you fight back your demons as hard as I could until my Brother finally defeated me and started to take full control of your fears and emotions." The Daughter explained.

"Well, now it's too late!" Gemini remarked. The Father and the Son looked down to Rouge as a smirk came across her face. "I have already used the last of my powers to transcend death and become the side of Ahsoka Tano before she started to grow weak!" she exclaimed.

Ahsoka gasped at this before Gemini Rouge started to laugh calmly. "All this time, you were destined to destroy Anakin!" she exclaimed. Ahsoka glared down at her before Gemini spat out some blood. "Go on, do it. Be rid of your past! Strike the so-called Chosen One down and give in to your hatred!"

"Ahsoka will not destroy what she fears!" the Daughter exclaimed.

Ahsoka just looked to the Son's essence in Gemini before looking towards the Father and the Daughter. She then turned her head to Anakin, showing sorrow and regret on his face. "I would never leave you behind, Ahsoka." He said.

"If you listen to him and redeem yourself of the Darkness, then you will face rejection once again, and it will forever haunt you!" Gemini Rouge warned.

Ahsoka then reached for her lightsabers, but then looked from Rouge to her hindered, Jedi Master, Anakin. Ahsoka then looked down to her hand. Can I really be rid of my fears? Just with one kill? Ahsoka asked herself.

Gemini started to simper upon seeing Ahsoka's predicament. However, J'onn looked up to Ahsoka and shook his head. "If you strike Anakin down in anger, will you truly feel happy? Especially after you made so many friends on Earth?" he asked.

Finally, Ahsoka shook her head and took her hands away from her lightsabers. Gemini gaped upon seeing this before Ahsoka glared at her with tranquility. "No. I will not be tricked by you anymore." She stated. Ahsoka then looked down to Anakin and smiled. "I know what I want, and eradicating the Hope of myself isn't it!" she exclaimed.

Obi-Wan looked to Ahsoka and smiled, as well as Anakin and J'onn. "I am the one who controls my own life! My friends give me strength, not a Dark Heart!" Ahsoka went on. She then looked down to Gemini and craned her neck, finishing up her speech with, "The Dark Side is not my Master! The Force is! And you… are nothing but a fantasy of a false wish!"

Gemini just panted and craned her neck back in exhaustion, a look of disbelief emerging on her face. Ahsoka just glared at Rouge until Rouge suddenly sent a vindictive glare towards her. "Arrogant Cretin!" Gemini cursed. With that, she suddenly sprang up and lunged at Ahsoka, grabbing her by the neck. "You will pay the price for your lack of vision!"

Ahsoka just grunted as she tried to get loose. She then glared angrily at Gemini Rouge and unsheathed her lightsaber hilt. "Get out of my HEAD!" Ahsoka yelled. With that, her secondary lightsaber came into her hand, and the blue and green blades started to shine brightly. Gemini gasped and activated her crimson lightsabers, and the two clashed with each other. Ahsoka threw Gemini off as they both toppled over the edge, escaping Ahsoka's dreamscape and entering all of the Spiritual Minds of the world.

Anakin got up and activated his lightsaber, as well as Obi-Wan. "Come on!" he yelled to J'onn. Martian Manhunter nodded and they all ran after Ahsoka and the Dark Togrutan, with the Father and Daughter in tow.

Meanwhile, the entire Team was all connected to the Psychic Link, having already finished up with their mission in Qatar. "Everyone! Pull out and prepare to–" Aqualad started out.

"Wait!" M'gann yelled telepathically. All of the Team looked in surprise as their psyches started to turn into a different dreamscape.

At that moment, Ahsoka dashed right by, placing her lightsaber up into the air as Gemini Rouge landed, attempting to cut Ahsoka down. Ahsoka grunted as she held off Gemini before kicking her Dark Side twin away, the two then resuming their fight.

"It's Ahsoka!" Robin exclaimed.

"Who's she fighting?!" Wally called out. The whole Team watched in suspense as M'gann's fist clenched.

"Her Darkness." Serra replied in a stern voice.

All of the Team then ran over towards Ahsoka Tano and Gemini Rouge, now fighting through the dreamscape of the Jedi Temple, bereft of flames and darkness.

Ahsoka lunged her lightsaber towards Gemini Rouge with Makashi, but Gemini just twirled to the side as she clashed with the green lightsaber, then attempting to gut her original in the stomach with her own crimson blade, but Ahsoka's blue blade blocked it as they twirled around each other, both focused on regaining control of Ahsoka's complete mind and body.

Gemini then threw Ahsoka into a pillar and walked towards her. The evil enigma then kicked Ahsoka in the chest, but Ahsoka just knocked it off and her left lightsaber clashed with Rouge's right. Once again, they twirled each other around, where Ahsoka kicked her Dark Twin in the chest before Rouge clashed her right lightsaber with Ahsoka's left again. Ahsoka, however, broke off and punched Gemini in the stomach before Rouge started to fight back at her, using Juyo techniques against her.

Rouge threw a right hook from her lightsaber, which Ahsoka blocked with her other right blade before locking her two blades together in an "X" shape from a Makashi jab to her stomach. Both Togrutans clashed their right swords with each other before Gemini eventually threw aside her blade and knocked Ahsoka against the next pillar. "Damn you!" Gemini cursed as she attempted to behead Ahsoka, but Ahsoka just ducked from the attack and struck at Gemini Rouge's stomach with her shoto.

Gemini was thrown back by surprise before Ahsoka started to go back on offense again. She punched Gemini in the face with her right fist and then repeating the process with a left hook. Gemini had hardly any time to respond to the attacks as she was now the one being sent back. She used a combination of Jar'Kai, Ataru, Shii-Cho, and Shien techniques against Rouge before sending a Makashi jab at her, sending Gemini to the wall.

As the entire Team ran towards where Ahsoka was fighting off her Darkness, Anakin, Obi-Wan, J'onn, the Father and the Daughter all joined them, all now watching Ahsoka Force-Throw Gemini Rouge into another hall of the Jedi Temple.

"Ahsoka!" Anakin called out, running after the two.

"Is that Anakin?" Rocket asked. Obi-Wan looked over towards Raquel at that moment and nodded. "Come on!" the Negotiator then yelled. Everyone nodded at this, shrugging away all confusion before running towards Anakin so that they could help Ahsoka win her fight.

Ahsoka ran after Gemini after pushing her back and then used a Soresu swing from her left blade to knock away Gemini Rouge's other left blade. Gemini shrieked in fury and performed many Vaapad swings at Ahsoka, but with her rage blinding Rouge, Ahsoka managed to dodge every attack before she blocked a left Juyo swing by twirling around and performing a Makashi defensive stab before Force-Kicking away Gemini Rouge into the wall.

Gemini yelled as she crashed through the wall, landing on the other side. "Had enough?!" Ahsoka yelled.

"Hardly!" Rouge remarked, lighting up one hand with Yellow Force Energy and then throwing it into the air in front of her, forming a harsh Yellow Dragon. Ahsoka stood back in surprise, backing away from the Dragon. Just then, the Daughter ran forwards and turned into her Angelic Griffin form and attacked the Dragon.

Ahsoka then looked over to Gemini Rouge, the Devil of Ahsoka looking her down. Gemini cackled before running towards Ahsoka and bringing her lightsaber down onto her. "You forget, Ahsoka! Without me, you're nothing!" Gemini exclaimed.

Ahsoka looked up to Gemini and gasped. All of the events that took place following her departure from the Jedi Order started flashing through her own eyes. Soon, her eyes started to glow blue, getting up on her feet, and pushing back a now-shocked Gemini. "Never!" Ahsoka exclaimed.

"When I met the Team upon arriving on Earth, a Light was born inside of me." Ahsoka started out, the Light in the Darkness starting to glow, much to Gemini Rouge's horror. "That's why when the Dark Side constantly grew stronger, my Inner Light did not." Ahsoka went on. The Team, Anakin, Obi-Wan, J'onn and the father all watched before everyone whom Ahsoka befriended while on the Team flashed in visions beside her. "But I have seen their strength more than anyone else," she went on, her whole body starting to glow. "In the past year, my friendship and my bonds transformed into my strength!"

After announcing her speech, Ahsoka threw Gemini Rouge off with Vaapad. Anakin then watched with amazement as Katana, Supergirl, Cheshire, Red Arrow, Raven, Stargirl, Kid Devil, Cyborg, Metamorpho, Firestorm, Terra, Geo-Force, Halo, Ravager, Ice, Novastar, Saga, Starfire, Green Lantern Kyle Rayner, Red Star, Jinx, Taiga, Stingray, the Natural, DeltaRay, Blade Runner, Axel, and Vixen all appeared by her side.

"This is my Light in the Darkness!" Ahsoka announced, spinning around her lightsabers as the rest of the Team came to her in spirit. Gemini Rouge just growled at this as Ahsoka then aimed her crossbow gauntlet at her.

"By the power of the Force, I use Form VIII!" Ahsoka yelled, shooting a large, energized blast at Gemini, where Robin, Artemis, Zatanna, Rebel, Gerrera, Supergirl, Red Arrow, Raven, Cyborg, Firestorm, Halo, Novastar, Ice, Starfire, Kyle Rayner, Red Star, Jinx, and Vixen all blasted alongside her.

The blasts then transformed into Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian, Rocket, Serra, Drol, Katana, Cheshire, Kid Devil, Metamorpho, Terra, Geo-Force, Ravager, Saga, Taiga, Stingray, the Natural, DeltaRay, Blade Runner and Axel, all slashing at Gemini, who yelled in pain before Ahsoka leapt into the air and prepared to slash. "Form VIII: SokaTan!" Ahsoka yelled out, landing onto the ground and then slashing down at Gemini Rouge.

As soon as Ahsoka slashed at Gemini, lightsabers stood around, all by Ahsoka's sides. Gemini gasped as Ahsoka then rushed at one lightsaber, grabbing it and then slashing Rouge with it, the image of her standing over Toyman's robot flashing.

She then grabbed the next lightsaber, which showed her shopping with M'gann, and then them embracing each other.

The next lightsaber showed Ahsoka and Artemis fighting off against the Yakuza Clan, a smile appearing on both of their faces.

Then, a lightsaber depicting Ahsoka defending Zatanna with a father and his daughter appeared as Ahsoka slashed Gemini once again.

The next blade Ahsoka wielded showed Ahsoka leaping off of a building with Rocket, Zatanna, Artemis and M'gann right behind her towards a fuel tanker about to hit some children.

Gemini then saw Ahsoka running with Kid Flash in Vlatava, the two performing an uppercut at the evil enigma before Ahsoka then attacked with a lightsaber that showed her kissing Lux.

Ahsoka then slashed a lightsaber with the memory of her saving M'gann from Psimon with Superboy and Supergirl.

Then, Ahsoka attacked with a blade that showed her attacking Black Manta and saving Aqualad before using a memory saber that showed Robin saving her from the Joker.

The next memory showed Ahsoka saving the entire Team from their first encounter with the Terror Titans.

Next memory saber showed Ahsoka helping Billy Batson up to his feet before fighting back-to-back with Doctor Fate.

Ahsoka then used another memory saber, slashing with the memory of Mal Duncan and Karen Beecher helping her, Lux, Connor and M'gann expose Black Widow, Ultraboy and Silver Martian.

Another memory saber depicted Ahsoka sliding down the side of a snowy mountain with Red Arrow, and then another showing her teamwork with Barriss and Cheshire.

In the next memory, Ahsoka was rocking out on a guitar before it then flashed to her and Serra helping Black Canary take down Mammoth, before it showed her talking with Serra.

Another memory lightsaber was then used, this one depicting Raven saving the Team from Klarion and the Light.

The next memory depicted Ahsoka talking with Jaybo about how he helped his Master, right before the memory saber showed Ahsoka fighting alongside Red Tornado.

Next, her memory saber showed her fighting with Icon and Rocket against Black Widow and Enola.

She then used her next memory saber to slash with the memory of using Saw's guerilla warfare tactics to take down Striker and Xever.

Ahsoka's next memory saber showed her talking with the Outsiders, right before showing Novastar and Saga fly in and help the Team take down the ORDER and the Light.

The next memory saber showed her and the Team with Ice, taking down Kadaj, Ankh and Loz.

Right after that, memories showed Ahsoka working with Starfire, Kyle Rayner, and Red Star against Sinestro before the memory flashed to Ahsoka taking down Syrena.

Her next memory then showed Ahsoka working with Raven and Jinx against Trigon and the Terror Titans before flashing to a memory of Ahsoka helping Red Star and Queen Perdita take down Nizam.

Soon, a memory showed Ahsoka working with M'gann and Beast Boy to destroy illegal shipments that Queen Bee was bringing in, and following it was the memory of the time she helped Batman stop a breakout in Arkham.

The next memory flashed with her fighting against Prowler and Xanadu with the help of Barbara Gordon, now officially as Batgirl.

Another memory lightsaber then appeared, this one depicting her fighting off against Mirror Master and then Inertia.

The next one showed her working at her hardest in an attempt to create an antidote for the virus spread by the Parasitic Wasp, right before it showed her fighting off against the Leviathan, and her fighting next to Aquaman and Stingray.

The next memory from her lightsaber showed her fighting off Toyman and Darci, right before she wielded a memory lightsaber that depicted the memory of her fighting off against Mad Mod's Redcoat Soldier Robots, with the help of Stargirl, Terra, Stargirl, Stingray, the Natural, DeltaRay, Blade Runner and Axel.

She then remembered helping Shining Knight take on Morgana Le Fay, and Artemis taking on Black Widow right before Ahsoka spoke with Qui-Gon Jinn as she unsheathed her chains and started to swing at Gemini with her sabers.

Her next memory started to show her helping Metamorpho and Cyborg take on Simon Stagg, right before Sapphire Stagg froze him in his place.

The memory that followed afterwards depicted her and Connor helping Supergirl take down General Zod.

Following that memory, Ahsoka showed Gemini her and M'gann taking down Darth Maul.

Finally, Ahsoka grabbed both of her lightsabers and leapt into the air. Gemini gasped as she looked up, Ahsoka holding both of her lightsabers behind her in her Shien reverse-grip. In between the lightsabers showed Anakin saving Ahsoka from her verdict, smiling to her before Ahsoka finally slashed down at Gemini Rouge.

"Ahsoka just invented a Form VIII!" Obi-Wan exclaimed.

"Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?" Artemis then asked.

"It's a HISTORICAL thing!" Anakin exclaimed back in response.

Ahsoka then flipped into the air after slashing down Gemini, landing behind her. With the simple twitch of her lightsabers, Gemini's body started to grow golden cracks. She looked to Ahsoka and shrieked in anger. "You will never win!" Gemini yelled.

Ahsoka just looked back to Gemini and shook her head. "Despite what you hear, I'm still a Jedi." She remarked. With that, she twirled her lightsabers behind her and stood up, letting Gemini fade away into black mist.

As soon as Ahsoka finished ridding herself of Gemini, everything started to clear up around her. She sighed and deactivated her lightsabers before looking back to her friends.

Anakin ran up to Ahsoka and smiled. "Ahsoka! You did it!" he exclaimed.

Obi-Wan walked up and placed his hand on her shoulder. "You did well, Ahsoka." The Negotiator stated.

Ahsoka smiled to them, but then noticed that they were starting to fade away. "What's going on?" Ahsoka asked her Masters.

J'onn then started to groan. "My strength is weakening." Martian Manhunter stated, feeling his head in pain.

M'gann immediately ran up to Ahsoka and hugged her. "We'll be back at the Cave before you know it." She said. Ahsoka nodded before M'gann ran back to the Team, disappearing.

Anakin then looked to Ahsoka, and placed his hand out towards her. "I now know where to find you, my Padawan." Anakin stated. Ahsoka smiled and extended her hand towards his, and the minute the two hands touched, the vision from Ahsoka's dreams started to clear up.

There was an explosion. Emerging from it were Robin and Starfire, Beast Boy, Cyborg and Raven, the black silhouettes fading away. Garfield Logan twirled around in the air during the jump while Dick and the rest of his squadron all prepared to shoot.

Just then, Vixen led Superboy, Geo-Force, Red Star, Taiga and Kid Devil, Mari holding her arms out as if she were a tiger while the rest had weapons drawn looked ready to attack.

Next, Shining Knight was seen with Vixen once again, now alongside the Outsiders, Jinx, Novastar and Saga, all in battle stances while Sir Justin placed his sword on his wrist. More of the Outsiders and Ahsoka's friends started to appear in battle stances alongside the Team as Ahsoka activated her blue and green double-sided lightsaber.

The Team, along with rest of the teen heroes, all charged towards the ORDER with war cries while the Clone Troopers around them started to shoot down onto the ORDER, clashing head-on and not backing down. Firestorm flew down and cupped his hands, blasting fire towards a squadron of ORDER Troopers while Katana, armed with her Soultaker Sword this time, placed her hand behind her back to block two enemy blades before joining in with Ahsoka and slashing down a few more soldiers.

Ahsoka then stood back-to-back with her Master, Anakin, before the two led the Team into more of the fray.

ORDER Troopers charged into the valley, being led by Syrena and Xever. Ahsoka stood back to back Anakin as they both slashed down, followed by Robin jumping into the air with Batgirl and dropkicking down at Falcon while M'gann flew with Starfire, everything suddenly fading to white once again.

Ahsoka smiled after seeing her clearer vision, and Anakin looked back to Ahsoka with a smile before he and Obi-Wan faded away, everything flashing white as Ahsoka closed her eyes.

Mount Justice 2314 Hours EDT

Ahsoka soon started to open her eyes, looking up to see the Team. She winced twice before getting up and looking to them. "I… won." She said.

M'gann looked down to Ahsoka as she got back up on her feet. As soon as Ahsoka recovered, M'gann ran up and embraced her. "I knew there was something great and special about you when we first met." The young Martian stated. Ahsoka gasped at this and smiled. M'gann continued to hug Ahsoka as a tear fell down the side of her face. "I've always wanted a sister." M'gann then said.

Ahsoka smiled once again before looking to J'onn. The older Martian gaped with surprise as Ahsoka started to slowly walk towards him. "Please forgive me for intruding your memories." Martian Manhunter started out. "I did not mean to see into your past, but I-"

J'onn didn't need to go on any further, as Ahsoka then hugged him. She smiled as she let out a tear. "Thank you." She said happily through tears. J'onn gasped before Ahsoka went on. "Now that I have shared my past, my Hope grew, while my Darkness and Despair started to fade away." She added on. "Now, I know that my Master is looking for me."

Ahsoka then looked over to the Team and sent them smiles as well. "I have to admit, I was a bit shy around you when I first met you." She stated. The Team smiled back to Ahsoka before she grinned at them. "But despite everything, despite what you hear, I always feel like a Jedi."

Aqualad smiled and stepped up. "When you were around, on every adversity we faced, we forged something powerful."

"Friends forever." Ahsoka stated happily.

"Yeah." Robin said, nodding in agreement. "We are friends." He added on.

"When we're together, we get stronger." Beast Boy joined in.

"I won't give in," Batgirl chimed in. "Especially with everyone backing us up."

Connor chuckled and hugged M'gann. "I'll keep you safe."

"We'll all keep each other safe." Ahsoka said.

"Well, maybe not 'We' alone, but if we work together…" Rocket pointed out.

"You've made your own place on the Team." Kid Flash complimented the Togrutan. Ahsoka smiled at the speedster, knowing he was right.

"And I learned that the hard way." Artemis supported her boyfriend.

"So, we can practically do just about anything." Zatanna said, looking to her friends. She chuckled and nodded. "I love it!"

Ahsoka then looked over to Serra and Saw, who were quiet for the time. When Serra noticed Ahsoka coming towards her, she started to stutter. "Um, A-A-Ahsoka, I-I just wanted to let you know–"

"I know." Ahsoka said. Both Serra and Saw looked to Ahsoka with surprise before she chuckled and patted them on the shoulder. "Hey, I can't help but notice whenever I see you two ogle at each other every day." She teased.

"Well, that makes us even when I see you with Senate Boy." Saw teased back.

Ahsoka and Lux just eyed each other lovingly before they both laughed. "Okay, so we've got nothing to hide anymore." Lux admitted.

Ahsoka chuckled and then looked down to Jaybo, smiling encouragingly at her. "I may not have helped you directly, Ahsoka, but you show the determination of your Master." He said.

Ahsoka laughed and stood looked up to the open sky, seeing the visible vortex. She sighed happily as she then started to close her eyes. "Thank you, Father and Daughter." She said to herself quietly.

At that moment, a Golden Griffin appeared in the air. Ahsoka and the Team looked up to it with smiles. "This time, I'm sure that it's the Daughter." Ahsoka said.

The Griffin then transformed into the Daughter, smiling to Ahsoka as she looked down to her. She then turned into the Phoenix Symbol of the Jedi Order and entered Ahsoka's body. Ahsoka could now feel a new power surging through her. After a while, she stopped glowing and looked to the sky. Ahsoka then thrust her hand out forwards and sent out a bright beam of Light. After that, she turned back to the Team and smiled. The Team looked to Ahsoka and smiled to her as well.

Expanded Universe | Ryloth System…

Anakin and Obi-Wan both walked up to the Bridge and looked to Admiral Yularen. The Admiral looked to them and saluted. "Any luck in your time of solitude, sirs?" he asked.

Anakin nodded and pulled up a holographic map, showing an image of a vortex not far from their location. "We go through there now." He ordered. "That's where Ahsoka is."

Captain Rex looked to Anakin and nodded before looking back to the rest of the crew. "Head towards there!" he ordered. "Get it done by yesterday!"

The crew all acknowledged as they started to get the Resolute towards the portal. Anakin looked to it and narrowed his eyes. "I'm coming, Ahsoka." He said to himself. Obi-Wan smiled and placed a hand on Anakin's shoulder, and the Resolute entered the anomaly.

On Earth-16, Ahsoka and the Team all smiled as they looked up to the vortex as well. "Time for the reunion, Skyguy." Ahsoka said to herself. The Team all smiled as they then watched the Light within Ahsoka shine bright.

Expanded Universe | Horuz System…

Count Dooku walked up to the Bridge of the Invisible Hand and looked to the holographic image of Darth Sidious, bowing before him respectfully. "What is thy bidding, my Master?" he asked.

"The Republic have discovered the location of the anomaly that whisked away Ahsoka Tano." Sidious stated with disgust.

Dooku looked up and gasped upon hearing this. "I will track them down immediately."

Sidious looked down to Dooku and nodded, a grin showing on his face. "Good, very good." He stated. "Now, everything is all going according to plan."

Count Dooku looked up to his Master and nodded. He then walked up to General Grievous and sent him a glare. "The time has come for us to act." He said.

"It will be my pleasure, Count." Grievous replied. The two nodded to each other before Grievous looked to the rest of the Droids. "Follow the Republic into the anomaly immediately!" Grievous ordered.

"Roger, Roger." The Droids all said at the same time. With that, the Invisible Hand made the Jump to Lightspeed and headed towards the Ryloth System and towards the portal.

On the Resolute, Anakin looked down to his hand, the same one he used to shake Ahsoka's hand with. Closing his eyes with hope, he clenched his fist and nodded. "Don't worry, Ahsoka. I'm coming." He said. Obi-Wan placed his hand on Anakin's shoulder as soon as they entered the portal.

Author's Note: Well, Happy One-Year Anniversary for Path of the Padawan, everyone! I worked on this chapter the hardest and the longest. Now Anakin and Obi-Wan know where Ahsoka is, and are now entering the vortex, but so are the Separatists! Now what will happen next in this new turn of events?
