Chapter 50: Z is for Zenith
Mount Justice December 31st 2355 Hours EDT
Ahsoka, M'gann, Lux, Connor, Zatanna, Serra, Jaybo, Saw and Beast Boy all ran throughout the Cave with excitement. "Come on! We don't want to be late!" M'gann yelled to her eight friends.
Atlantis 2356 Hours UTC
Aqualad swam as fast as he could towards the Zeta Tube portal. "Need to get to the Cave!" he exclaimed, dashing past Tula and Garth.
Central City 2356 Hours CDT
Wally ran all the way from his house to the Zeta Tube, also in a hurry. "Gotta go faster!" he said to himself as he was within range of the Zeta Tube leading to Mount Justice.
Dakota City 2357 Hours CDT
Rocket quickly ran out of her room and over the edge of her window, falling at first, but then flying up, ripping off her civilian clothes and now in her costume. "Come on! Don't be the last one there, girl!" she exclaimed.
Gotham City 2358 Hours EDT
Artemis ran immediately towards the Zeta Tube near her home. "I'm late! I'm late!" she yelled to herself.
At the same time, Dick and Barbara came out of their own homes and ran towards their respective Zeta Tubes. "Can't be late for this!" Barbara exclaimed.
"Gotta get there on time!" Dick yelled out as he leapt off of a railing in the BatCave and into a Zeta Tube.
Mount Justice 2359 Hours EDT
Soon, everyone ran into the Living Room of Mount Justice. M'gann immediately used her telekinesis powers to grab the remote, then flipping into the air to change the channels until she got to Channel 22.
Wally then ran over, holding some popcorn in his hand.
Ahsoka then leapt into the air and Force-Sped towards the recline chair, where Artemis was about to sit at. The archer gritted her teeth in defeat as she soon joined everyone else on the sofas.
"It's starting!" Barbara exclaimed.
Connor smirked and then turned the television louder, seeing Iris West-Allen on the screen.
"I am Iris West-Allen, coming to you live from downtown New York, where it is four minutes and sixteen seconds until we officially celebrate the New Year of 2012." She reported.
"Go, Aunt Iris!" Wally called out. Artemis patted Wally on the shoulder before Cat Grant then joined her.
"Great to be here tonight, Iris!" Cat exclaimed.
"Right, Cat!" Iris replied. "There have been no ORDER or Light attacks, and with Ahsoka Tano doing just fine, everything's good."
As this was going on, the vortex hovering over Earth was starting to open.
"And that was just Jonathan Liebesman, producer of the new 2012 film coming out this March, 'Wrath of the Titans.'" Iris reported as Cat thanked Jonathan for coming out today.
"Saved Jonathan three months ago." Ahsoka told the Team. Everyone looked to her with confusion before she shrugged. "Solo mission. He gave me VIP tickets to the movie." She went on.
"Any chance we can come along?" Garfield then asked, Robin and Jaybo looking on eagerly as well.
Ahsoka sighed and shook her head. "Sorry, guys. It's rated PG-13." Ahsoka reasoned.
Garfield, Robin and Jaybo all sighed before Cat came back on.
"Now, Ten!" Cat called out.
"Nine!"
"Eight!"
"Seven!"
"Six!"
"FIVE!" the Team then called out.
"Four!"
"THREE!" Aqualad, Robin, Kid Flash, Superboy and Miss Martian yelled.
"TWO!" called out Artemis, Zatanna, Rocket, Ahsoka and Lux.
"ONE!" Serra, Jaybo, Saw, Beast Boy and Batgirl then yelled.
At that moment, the sky flashed a bright blue light. Everyone around the world looked up at this and gasped.
At Mount Justice, the Team all gasped too. "Happy New Years." Ahsoka then said sternly.
In Space, Green Lanterns Jon Stewart and Hal Jordan were quickly dispatched to take care of the situation with Superman, Wonder Woman, Hawkwoman, Hawkman, Doctor Fate and Icon.
Batman was following them around in his personal ship. "We've been waiting for something like this, everyone." Batman said through the comm systems.
Jon Stewart and Hal Jordan then flew up towards the large ship that came out of the portal. "Attention! You have entered the boundaries of Earth Space. Disengage all weapons and engines." He announced.
Within the Resolute, Anakin looked to Yularen and nodded. "Prepare to fire." He said.
Obi-Wan then placed his hand up and shook his head, going for the communications console. "We mean no harm. All we just wish to do is come for who we want and we will be on our way, off your backs." The Negotiator stated.
Batman looked to the Resolute, wondering what to do. "Very well, but if you show any signs of attack, you're dead." He warned them.
"We'll keep that in mind." Obi-Wan Kenobi replied back.
On the surface of Earth below, Ahsoka, Lux, Serra, Jaybo and Saw all looked up into the air. "That's the Resolute!" Ahsoka exclaimed.
"The Resolute?" M'gann asked in confusion.
"One of my Master's many ships." Ahsoka explained.
Just then, a large, multiple holographic screens hovered all over the Earth, the image of Anakin Skywalker appearing on them. "People of Earth, do not be alarmed." Anakin spoke.
Everyone looked up in surprise and started to take out phones, trying to record what was happening. "I am Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker of the Galactic Republic." He stated.
Ahsoka and the Team all looked up as Anakin continued to speak. "We mean you no harm. Me and my Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, have come here in search of my Padawan Apprentice."
Ahsoka looked up to Anakin and smiled. "That's my Master." She said to herself happily.
"Her name is Ahsoka Tano." Anakin then said. Around the world, people started to gasp with shock and wonder, not knowing before that Ahsoka was an Apprentice to someone else. "Once again, we mean no harm in coming to your planet." Anakin went on. "I'm just looking for my Padawan."
At Mount Justice, the Team then started to see some static appear on their screen. Batman came onto the monitor, looking to them grimly. "Team, I have spoken with the Republic, and I have told them where you are, Ahsoka." The Dark Knight stated.
Ahsoka stepped up and cleared her throat. "Bruce, I can promise you, Anakin means no harm."
"We know that." Batman replied. "The Jedi known as Obi-Wan Kenobi has sent down a small ship to pick you up." Bruce Wayne added on.
Robin then stepped up beside Ahsoka. "If Ahsoka is going to meet with her old Masters, then we're coming too." The Boy Wonder stated.
Batman then looked to the rest of the Team, all looking back to him with reassuring looks on their faces. "Very well." Batman finally said. "Be prepared for pickup."
Soon, Ahsoka and the rest of the Team went towards the Hangar Bay. "Red Tornado! Open the Hangar Bay Doors!" Ahsoka called out. The Hangar Bay Doors soon opened up, and Ahsoka saw a Republic Gunship head towards the Cave.
"There's our ride." Serra said. Ahsoka nodded at this before they all walked towards the Gunship.
Once the Gunship had landed, Ahsoka soon saw Fives. "Good to see you again, General Tano." CT-5555 stated.
"Evening, Fives." Ahsoka replied back.
As Ahsoka got onto the Gunship, Serra, Saw, Jaybo and Lux followed. The Team was also about to get on, but two Clone Troopers blocked their way. Ahsoka looked back to then see the Team prepared to take on the Clone Troopers. She looked to Fives and tapped him on the shoulder. "What's the problem, General?"
"All ten of them are with us." Ahsoka explained.
Fives nodded before looking to the rest of his Brothers and holding his arm up into the air. "We have friendlies here." He said. The Clones all nodded before lowering their blaster arms, in which the Team eased up and got onto the Gunship.
"Take off, Oddball!" Fives yelled to the pilot. Oddball nodded before flying the Gunship back to the Resolute.
Bialya January 1st 0106 Hours UTC
Sylas looked up into the air with his daughter, Xion, and Alakshmi at his side. "So, the famed Republic has arrived." Sylas said to himself.
Barriss looked up in awe as well. "They will surely execute us, Master." She said to Sylas nervously.
Sylas looked to Black Widow and shook his head. "They will never get the chance." He said calmly. Everyone noticed Sylas's sangfroid as he looked to his black and gold lightsaber hilt. He then looked to the generals of the ORDER and nodded. "Gather your forces." He ordered.
Striker, Xever and Syrena all smirked at this order and crossed their chests with both of his each of their respective twin weapons. The ORDER generals then disappeared into the shadows before taking off in their own ships.
Barriss gaped at the command before she turned to Sylas. "What about me? What about the Terror Titans?!" the Mirialan asked angrily. "I want my revenge!"
"And you shall have it soon, Barriss." Sylas then answered. "As they say, save the best for last."
Barriss gasped at what she heard, but then she smirked devilishly, now knowing that the time for her to strike back would come soon.
Western Mongolia 0116 Hours UTC
A hologram of Count Dooku appeared before the Light, Sportsmaster and Deathstroke present in the room as well. "Vandal Savage, I take it that the Republic Forces have already arrived on your Planet Earth?" he asked.
"They have indeed, Count." The Eternal Man replied.
"Quite an unexpected turn of events, if you ask me." Ra's al Ghul stated.
"Remember our plan wisely." Tyranus then reminded everyone.
The Light all nodded before Dooku signed off.
Anakin looked out of the window on the Bridge of the Resolute before turning back to face his Master. "Was I too strict there?" he asked. Obi-Wan remained silent as he then placed his hand to his beard. Anakin sighed and placed his hand on Obi-Wan's shoulder. "Come on, I need you to be honest with me." He said. "Do you think I went too far in asking for Ahsoka like that?" Anakin asked once again.
Obi-Wan looked up and started to mumble to himself. Finally, he turned back to Anakin. "Well, you've certainly stopped your habit of being brusque when it comes to simple demands." He stated.
"I learned from the best Negotiator."
"You're welcome." Obi-Wan replied back. He then paced around the room before looking to Anakin again. "I have spoken with one of the members of the Justice League, the organization that has given Ahsoka sanctuary, and they have agreed in allowing us to send down a Gunship to receive Ahsoka." Obi-Wan reported.
"It will be nice to see Ahsoka again." Anakin said to himself.
Just then, Rex came onto the Bridge, saluting to the two Jedi Generals. "Sir, Ahsoka Tano, Serra Keto, Lux Bonteri, Saw Gerrera, Jaybo Hood, and ten of their friends have just come on board." He reported.
Anakin and Obi-Wan both looked to each other with confusion. "Who are the other ten people with Ahsoka and her friends?" Anakin then asked curiously.
"We don't know, Sir, but we're escorting them up to the Bridge to meet you immediately." Rex then replied.
"'Immediately' may be sooner than you think, Rex." Ahsoka's voice then said. Everyone then looked around, wanting to know where the voice was coming from.
"Ahsoka?" Anakin then asked. "Where are you?"
At that moment, Ahsoka appeared right behind Anakin, her arms crossed and a grin on her face. "Surprise, Skyguy." She said.
Anakin gasped and then turned around, seeing Ahsoka. "How did you–?" Anakin started out, but was then interrupted by the sounds of more footsteps.
Everyone then turned around and looked around the room, seeing many members of the Team, as well as Serra, Jaybo, Lux and Saw appear out of nowhere.
"Wh-where did you come from?" Anakin asked in confusion.
Ahsoka chuckled and then looked to Jaybo. "Stealth Tech." She explained.
Obi-Wan looked down to the Team, very impressed by how advanced they were in technology. "Very well-executed." He complimented the Team.
"Stealth comes first in a Covert Team." Aqualad then said.
Anakin looked to Aqualad, and then to Kid Flash, both with stern aspersions on his face. "Didn't I kill you?" Anakin asked Kaldur.
Ahsoka and the rest of the Team all immediately gasped upon hearing this. M'gann then pressed a finger to her head, setting everyone up on the Psychic Link. "The blade that killed Blood Bane back then!" Connor exclaimed through the Psychic Link, motioning his hand to Anakin's lightsaber hilt on his side.
Anakin looked to Superboy in confusion before she then smacked her hand against her head. "Of course! It was Anakin!" she deducted.
"So, if Anakin was the one who killed Blood Bane in England…" Wally started out.
"Then he's the same one who launched that missile through the mirror in Star City when I was facing Mirror Master!" Ahsoka exclaimed. "Hello, Ahsoka! How could I be so blind?!"
Obi-Wan then took notice of what was going on, as Anakin and Obi-Wan were both seeing the Team looking to each other and performing many hand motions to one another as well.
"Are you all having a Psychic Conversation?" Anakin asked. Immediately, the whole Team looked to the two Jedi Masters, finally catching on. "I didn't think that such a technique was possible to pull off." He said.
"An impressive technique, if you ask me, Anakin." Obi-Wan then supported. Anakin looked to the Team before looking back to Obi-Wan and nodding.
All of a sudden, Anakin felt himself getting squeezed from behind. He gasped and then turned to see Ahsoka, hugging him tightly. "I'm so happy to see you again, Master." Ahsoka said, tears of joy streaming down the side of her face.
Anakin stood in shock by this sudden turn of events before he smiled, placing his hand on Ahsoka's back. "I'm happy to see you again too, Ahsoka." He replied.
The Team, Obi-Wan, Admiral Yularen, and Rex all looked at the scene with warm hearts as Anakin and Ahsoka continued to embrace each other.
Anakin and Ahsoka finally separated from each other before Anakin looked down to his Padawan. "I've been looking for you for days now." He stated. Ahsoka immediately blushed upon hearing this, stroking one of her Montrals before Anakin went on. Anakin then looked over towards Serra Keto, Lux Bonteri, Jaybo Hood and Saw Gerrera. "However, I failed to get any transmission from any of the four of you." He added on.
Serra shuffled her feet shyly before Lux then spoke up. "We did try to contact you, but for some reason, none of our communications would work." The Senator reasoned.
"Same with us." Saw stated, rubbing the back of his neck with one hand and holding up his other hand in the air, with Jaybo nodding in confirmation.
Anakin nodded at this before he looked back to Ahsoka. "Now that I've found you, you can now come back to the Jedi Order!" he exclaimed.
Ahsoka's smile then turned into a frown. She silently turned away and placed a hand across her chest, grasping onto her elbow. "That again, huh?" she asked.
Anakin took notice of this and placed his hand on Ahsoka's shoulder. "Hey, Ahsoka, I know that things didn't work out well from the last time, but the Jedi Council is now sorry for accusing you, and we all want you back." Anakin reasoned.
"Was that before or after Ahsoka was expelled from the Jedi Order and put on trial for crimes she didn't do?" Robin then spat.
Obi-Wan looked to the Team as Robin, Artemis, M'gann and Aqualad all stepped up. "Ahsoka told us everything about how she was wrongly accused of murder." Kaldur stated.
Ahsoka looked to the four members of the Team and made motions for them not to interfere. "Guys, it's alright." She reassured them.
"Not from what we were told, Ahsoka!" Artemis then exclaimed, the four stopping in front of Anakin and crossing their arms.
Anakin looked to the Team before then looking to Ahsoka. "I promise you, Ahsoka, we'll make sure that nothing like that ever happens again."
"Weren't you also suspicious of Ahsoka at the time?" Wally then asked, pointing an accusing finger towards the Chosen One.
Anakin growled and knocked the hand aside. "I'll tell you, I was behind Ahsoka one-hundred percent. I believed in her!"
Batgirl scoffed and threw aside her arm. "And the rest of the Jedi?" she asked skeptically.
Obi-Wan then stepped up and cleared his throat, now being his turn to speak. "Forgive us for that, young lady, but in order to prevent the Senate from having suspicion on the Jedi Order, we had no choice but to not support Ahsoka during her trial." The Negotiator explained.
"So, you duped Ahsoka just because you and the rest of the Jedi wanted to keep their rep?!" Connor asked in disbelief. "What kind of sick people are you?!"
"Loyal and honorable Jedi to the Republic!" Anakin spat back.
Ahsoka watched the whole argument go on, feeling very awkward due to the fact that everyone was arguing over her. "Don't go too far with this, guys." Ahsoka said to the Team via Psychic Link.
M'gann then looked to Ahsoka, having been the only one to hear Ahsoka say this.
Ahsoka then looked to the Team and her Jedi Masters before cupping her hands and then sending out a large blast of light. "Enough!" she yelled, letting the blast spread throughout the ship. Everyone stopped arguing and all looked to the blast, Anakin and Obi-Wan in shock and awe.
Zatanna placed her hand on her hip and smirked. "Yeah, I figured that would be your reactions." She teased.
Ahsoka then stepped up and looked to her friends and her Masters. "Now isn't the time to be fighting amongst ourselves!" she exclaimed. "Remember, the ORDER is still out there, and this new threat is under the influence of a Sith Lord we may have never encountered before in all our lives!"
Just then, Ahsoka stopped abruptly and held her hand to her forehead.
"Ahsoka, what is wrong?" asked Anakin as he put his arm around his Padawan Apprentice in order to comfort her.
"I sense a great yet familiar… Darkness." Ahsoka said with disturbance.
Everyone looked to each other with concern, Team and Republic alike. They walked to the window and peered out of it, staring down to Earth, somehow seeing small aircrafts approaching. Soon afterwards, a fleet of massive, hulking ships appeared from Earth. They were big and grey and shaped in a way that was designed to inspire fear in all those who lay eyes on them.
Appearing from the hangers of the ships were hundreds of small fighters with similar designs to the fighters from the Sith Empire in the days of the Old Republic. They zoomed towards the Resolute like a swarm of bees. Soon, they all opened fire on the Resolute, firing blood red lasers.
"It's the ORDER!" Aqualad exclaimed, seeing the emblem of the Golden Phoenix on each fighter and ship. He then looked to the Team and nodded. "Come on!" he yelled.
Everyone, including Ahsoka, Lux, Serra, Jaybo and Saw all looked to Aqualad and nodded at this. "Right!" the whole Team then yelled.
Anakin then looked to Rex and craned his neck. "Prepare the Troops for battle!" he ordered.
"Yes, Sir!" Rex shouted. He then ran off with Fives, Obi-Wan gave Commander Cody the same gesture.
"Cody, get your men ready!" Obi-Wan ordered.
"On the double!" Commander Cody then yelled out. He then ran with Rex and Fives to get the rest of the Clones.
Anakin and Obi-Wan then looked towards Ahsoka, Lux, Serra, Jaybo and Saw, all heading off with the Team to battle. "Let's go!" Anakin said to his Master.
"Understood." Obi-Wan replied back.
In the Hangar Bay, several members of the Coalition started to open fire upon the incoming ORDER forces. "Men, don't stop shooting!" Sech Govlinder of Taloraan ordered the soldiers of Taloraan. The soldiers all fired alongside the Clone Troopers as Striker came out from one of the ships, sporting violet armor and shooting back.
Soon, Rex and Cody ran in, leading armies of about two-hundred Clone Troopers behind them. "Fire!" Rex and Cody both yelled. All the Clone Troopers then opened fire upon Striker, but some of the blasts were sent aside by two golden blades.
The Coalition looked in surprise as Syrena then flew in, twirling around her two swords. She looked to Striker and then scoffed. "Fifth time already that I had to save your ass, Victor." She teased.
"Get on with it, Alakshmi." Striker remarked.
Syrena just grinned at this before she then ran towards the Clone Troopers, deflecting every blast that was sent at her and starting to cut them down one by one.
Ahsoka then ran in with the rest of the Team behind her. They immediately halted upon seeing the ORDER generals. Ahsoka scoffed and placed a hand on her hip. "So, Sylas is afraid of Barriss and the Terror Titans getting their hands dirty, huh?" she mused to herself.
Aqualad then stepped up next to Ahsoka and placed his hand on his shoulder. "Remember our Divide and Conquer Tactic?" he asked.
Ahsoka looked to Kaldur and chuckled. "Yeah! I perfected it." She exclaimed.
Kaldur'ahm then looked to the rest of the Team, all sending affirmative nods to him. "Miss Martian, is everyone connected?" Aqualad asked through the Psychic Link.
"We're linked up and ready, Kaldur." M'gann then replied.
"Go!" Kaldur yelled.
Immediately, the entire Team split up into groups of three, five factions spreading out throughout the room.
Xever unsheathed a blade from his swordfish skin and then tossed it into one of the Clone Troopers, stabbing him and killing him immediately. Xever chuckled upon his victory, but was then hit in the head by a birdarang, knocking him off balance. "Who dares?!" he yelled out.
Robin then leapt from one edge of the ceiling of the Resolute to the next, causing Xever to then throw one of his pocketknives. All of a sudden, a shuriken consisting of Droid Claws was sent towards Xever, causing him to turn around and shoot another knife, but was then knocked off of his feet by two batarangs.
Aqualad then unsheathed his Water-Bearers and charged towards Striker, clashing with him immediately. "Foolish of you to face me alone, boy!" Victor spat.
"He's not alone!" Serra's voice then called out.
Striker gasped upon hearing this and turned around, unsheathing his second sword. Serra then appeared, leaping into the air out of her Stealth Mode and disarming Victor of his stolen lightsaber. Striker gasped before he then unsheathed a gun. However, this time, Saw shot the blaster out of Striker's arm, disarming him before Aqualad then transformed his Water-Bearer swords into hammers, slamming Striker away.
Sergeant Slick then came out, shooting upon his Clone Brothers. "Traitor!" Gus yelled, opening fire upon him. Slick just walked up to his old platoon, sporting a brand new rifle in his arms.
"Prepare to die." Slick stated, charging up his new blaster.
"Prepare for this!" Artemis then yelled, getting the Clone Troopers' attention. Artemis then shot an arrow at Slick, sending him back.
Slick was caught by surprise and then aimed his weapon at Artemis. "Insolent interloper!" he exclaimed.
All of a sudden, his shot at Artemis was altered when another blast hit his gauntlets. Slick looked to the side to see Rebel, aiming his blaster at him. Rocket then flew in and caught Slick in a bubble before Artemis and Lux shot it away.
Connor and Beast Boy then leapt out of the air, slamming away some ORDER Troopers led by Black Spider. "Get them!" Spider yelled.
The ORDER Troopers then opened fire upon the two, but Wally then dashed by and pulled all of their grenades, causing a smokescreen to appear. "What the–?" one of the ORDER Soldiers asked.
Beast Boy then ran in as a cheetah, gnawing at all of the ORDER Troops before Connor kicked another in the chest, followed by Superboy then tossing three more towards the rest.
Syrena looked on in surprise. "So, the Team's here." She said to herself. She then licked the blade of her sword before running towards Captain Rex.
At that moment, Zatanna grabbed a sword from an ORDER Trooper and then clashed with Syrena. "No one touches the Clones!" she exclaimed. She then unsheathed her wand, gutting Alakshmi in the chest. "Etativel reh!" she incanted, lifting Syrena off of the ground.
M'gann then flew in with the lightsaber that Ahsoka helped her to construct. Alakshmi saw Miss Martian coming and held out her blade, blocking M'gann before Ahsoka flew into the air and slammed her double-bladed lightsaber against Syrena's.
Anakin and Obi-Wan then reached the Hangar Bay, where they saw everything happening at the same time. "Whoa!" Anakin exclaimed, seeing Aqualad go into Stealth Mode and disappearing behind Striker. Serra then twirled both of her twin lightsabers into the air before then swinging at Striker with a Niman pushing slash, knocking him off of his feet.
"This Covert Ops Team is more impressive than I had imagined." Obi-Wan then stated, seeing Jaybo cup his hands together to allow Robin to get into the air, remaining there as he then shot a barrage of birdarangs at Xever. Anakin then looked over to see Ahsoka flying over Syrena, clashing with her at every side before M'gann then punched her in the stomach.
The ORDER Generals all staggered back as the Team lined up in front of the Coalition and the Clone Troopers, all backing them up. "Ready to attack, Sirs!" Rex stated to the Team.
Syrena just smirked and then placed both of her sword arms out in front of her, placing her head down as well. Before anyone could attack, the ORDER vanished before them.
"They're gone." Ahsoka said, deactivating her lightsabers. The Coalition and the Clone Army all cheered as Anakin and Obi-Wan then ran up to them.
Anakin just stuttered after what he just saw. Ahsoka looked up to her Master with a smile before he finally cleared his throat. "I have to admit, Ahsoka, you work well with this Covert Team." He stated.
The Team all smiled before Obi-Wan spoke up next. "I would have never imagined such teamwork, dedication and unfathomable strategizing from a group so young in all my life." Kenobi added on.
Anakin smiled and looked to Ahsoka again. "Impressive lightsaber, Ahsoka." He complimented.
"Thanks." Ahsoka replied.
"So, what do you call yourselves, anyways?" Anakin asked the Team.
All of the Team just looked to each other, trying to find out what the right thing to say was. "We just go by 'The Team'." Aqualad finally replied.
"I would have expected a name that would fit yourselves, but I guess that we can try to work on it." Anakin then said back.
Obi-Wan then looked down to the lightsaber hilt on M'gann's belt. "Impressive work on your hilt there, Miss…" Obi-Wan started out, but couldn't get a name out.
"Martian. You can call me Miss Martian." M'gann then helped.
"Ah, yes." Obi-Wan said. "Miss Martian, that's an impressive piece of handiwork you've done on your lightsaber hilt."
"Actually, Ahsoka helped me with it."
Obi-Wan then placed his hand to his chin and started to think. Why do I sense something familiar about Miss Martian? He thought to himself.
Anakin then walked to Obi-Wan and placed his hand on his shoulder. "You know, I think that we can work something out with the Team and Ahsoka after all." The Chosen One stated. "They do show plenty of potential." Anakin also added on, gaining some smiles from the Team.
Ahsoka chuckled and patted Anakin on the shoulder. "Well, I admit that we're a little… rough around the edges," the Padawan started out, gaining a glare from the Team and an eyebrow raise from M'gann. "But with a great deal of training and patience, they have amounted to something greater than the Jedi ever has." Ahsoka then finished up, getting smiles from the Team this time.
Anakin smiled and chuckled down to Ahsoka. "Well, I probably deserved that." He said. Ahsoka looked up to Anakin before the two then laughed. "In other words, if they're friends to you, then they're allies to us."
Everyone smiled upon hearing this, and Obi-Wan walked up to them. "If you need me, I'll be making a report to the Council." The Negotiator said. Anakin nodded at this before Obi-Wan then walked off, smiling to the Team before heading over to the Bridge.
On the ground below, Vandal Savage looked up to the Resolute with the rest of the Light by his side. "Soon, it will be time for us to act." He said.

"Our time to strike will come soon, I hope." Klarion stated as he stroked Teekl. "But, hey, I can wait."
Mount Justice January 1st 0821 Hours EST
Ahsoka and Anakin soon entered Mount Justice with the rest of the Team. "Welcome to the Cave." Ahsoka said, spreading her arms out.
Anakin looked around the place with awe and interest. "Impressive, most impressive." He said out loud.
Just then, the sound of footsteps caught everyone's attention. Anakin, Rex and Fives all looked to see Batman come into the Hangar Bay, looking back at them with a suspicious look on his face.
"Who's the man who looks like a Sith?" Anakin whispered to Ahsoka.
Ahsoka sighed and pointed a finger towards Batman. "That would be the Caped Crusader, the Dark Knight, also known as Batman, and his alter ego is billionaire Bruce Wayne." She explained. "He also tried to get my blood sample when I first came to the Cave." Ahsoka added on.
"What?!" Anakin exclaimed. Ahsoka just facepalmed herself and grabbed Anakin before he could do anything rash.
Before Batman could say anything, a large 'whoosh' sound was heard in the air. "What was that?!" Ahsoka asked.
Everyone then ran outside, looking towards the moon. There, they saw a dark grey ship in space, most noticeably much more narrower than the Resolute. It had a sharp tip on the front, resembling a nose, and something on top that resembled a spoiler on a sports car. It also had streaks and lines of navy and green, a large purple circle on its side.
"Who's that?" Superboy asked suspiciously, immediately and obviously not liking the looks of the ship.
"That's the Invisible Hand." Ahsoka stated, recognizing the ship.
Just then, a large series of screens started to appear holographically all over the planet. A man with white hair and a goatee then appeared on every screen, his eyes with a shade of yellow. "And that…" Anakin went on. "Is Count Dooku."
All of the Team looked to Ahsoka and Anakin with shock. "That man is Count Dooku?!" Artemis asked with disbelief. Both Ahsoka and Anakin nodded at this statement before they all watched Dooku speak to everyone all over the planet.
"People of Earth, do not be alarmed," Dooku spoke calmly. Both Ahsoka and Anakin narrowed their eyes at Dooku as he went on.
"Whenever Dooku says that, never trust him." Ahsoka remarked, in which the rest of the Team agreed.
"I don't trust him already period." Rocket spat.
"I am Count Dooku of the Separatist Alliance." Dooku went on. "As a Sith Lord for Peace, we are here to help." Dooku added on. He then looked to the side and narrowed his eyes. "I can see that the Republic had already arrived here, and have also promised peace."

"But that is nothing but a lie." Queen Perdita saw and heard the Count say.
Perdita narrowed her eyes and then looked to her new royal advisor, Nizam having already been replaced. "Bring me to the United Nations building yesterday." She ordered. Her royal advisor nodded before she walked away, seeing her private helicopter awaiting her.
Blüdhaven January 1st 0835 Hours EDT
"We, the Separatists and the Confederate Alliance, can assure you, that the Republic has done nothing but spread the Plague of the Clone Wars everywhere they venture." Count Dooku added on as Taiga, Raven and Jinx all watched.
"Our time is near." Taiga told Raven and Jinx.
"The Separatists and the Light can wait. Very soon, our moment to reveal our survival to the ORDER will come." Raven then said. Jinx nodded at this before they turned off their television.

"If you let the Separatists stay and help you rid your planet of the Republic scourge," Dooku went on, getting the attention of Tatsu and some Japanese schoolgirls. "Then we can promise you true peace and prosperity."
Syrena walked up behind a large crowd looking at the screens and leaned against one of the poles. "That man has quite a big mouth for being a terrorist." She remarked.
Scandinavia January 1st 0845 Hours UTC
"By the way, good people of Earth…" Dooku went on, getting the attention of Tora and Elsa. "Our targets, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, two Jedi Knights of the Republic and the Jedi Order, as well as Anakin Skywalker's Padawan Learner, Ahsoka Tano, currently reside on your planet." Dooku said.
"I don't trust this guy." Tora said to Elsa as she formed an icicle. Snow nodded and created a snowman in the shape of Count Dooku himself, right before Ice used her icicle to stab the snowman with it.
"He's a man with a heart of stone, I'll tell you that much." Elsa then added on.
Mari was passing through the town when she then saw and heard what Dooku was saying. "Rotten Geezer." She cursed out loud before seeing Tora and Elsa. She then walked towards them and watched with them, clenching onto her pendant tightly.
Jump City January 1st 0900 Hours PDT
"If the Separatists can get a hold of them, I, as well as my trusted General, General Grievous, can execute them swiftly," Count Dooku added on.
Kyle Rayner and Koriand'r just looked to the screens with scowls on their faces. "He's such a liar." Starfire exclaimed.
The Outsiders watched elsewhere, Ravager aiming her Walther P-38 gun into the air and then shooting it towards the image. "No one messes with Ahsoka." Rose said to herself angrily. The rest of the Outsiders agreed, all nodding at the fact.

Red Star growled when he looked to Dooku. "You make me sick!" Leonid exclaimed. He then watched as the private jet carrying the Prime Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin, took off towards the United Nations building in New York.

Novastar and Saga both watched the worldwide broadcast with disgust. "Whoever Dooku is, he's nothing more than a snake in the Garden of Adam and Eve." Julie remarked.

"With the Jedi out of the way, we can assure you all that your lives will be perfect, free of violence, and your planet's way of life can evolve with perfection, as we can also eradicate the Justice League and their Team with them." Count Dooku added on, much to Kara's disgust.
"You bum!" she spat, letting out her cape before ripping open her shirt, revealing her emblem of Supergirl underneath.
Washington DC January 1st 0936 Hours EST
"If you wish for an alternate use of verdict, bring Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and Obi-Wan Kenobi to us." Count Dooku said.
Red Arrow and Cheshire both looked to each other with concern. "Ahsoka has done so much for us." The Clone of Roy Harper stated.
"This 'Dooku' character can't have her!" Jade exclaimed. The two nodded before they then leapt out of their windows.
Mount Justice January 1st 1000 Hours EDT
Anakin continued to watch with the broadcast go on with the Team, as did Obi-Wan and the rest of the crew on the Resolute. "The price for the Jedi will be officially be $999,999,999,999,999 in cash." Dooku finished up his ultimatum.
"No!" Karen yelled, at Mal's house.
"You can't have her, Dooku!" Mal exclaimed.
"Consider us… on your side." Dooku finally said, ending his speech and signing off.
Anakin and Ahsoka looked to each other in surprise before looking to the Team. "What would your planet do in a situation like this?" Anakin asked his Padawan.
"I've never seen it ever happen before, Master." Ahsoka honestly replied.
As this was happening, Batman was talking with Hawkman and Icon on the holoscreen. "What do you mean?" the Dark Knight asked both Justice League Members.
"This is the second biggest world crisis ever since the attack of the Light's Injustice League, Bruce." Carter Hall reported to Batman.
"In response to the ultimatum, Prime Minister Tseng of the United Nations wishes to see the three Jedi for questioning." Icon added on.
Superman then appeared on another screen. "Bruce, are you there?" the Man of Steel asked.
Batman turned his head towards Clark and nodded. "What is it?"
"Count Dooku. He has also requested the capture and/or arrest of Serra, and surprisingly, the ORDER's Black Widow via World Wide Web." Superman then reported.
Before Batman could say anything, he heard Ahsoka clear her throat behind him. The four Leaguers then turned to Ahsoka, Anakin and Serra. "We'll be at the United Nations building with due time." Serra said.
"In the meantime, don't answer to anything Count Dooku has to offer." Ahsoka added on.
Batman signed off the three Members of the Justice League before turning to the three Jedi, as well as the Team, all heading off towards the Bioship and their own respective ships. "This matter is of the upmost importance." Batman said grimly. Everyone looked to one another in confusion before Batman made his way towards one of the Zeta Tubes. "I'll meet you all at the United Nations Centre." He then said, disappearing into the Zeta Tube, the AI saying, "Recognized, Batman 02."
The Team all then looked to each other before then taking off. "How will Bruce meet us there before we get there?" the Chosen One asked.
"Here's the thing." Robin started out as Anakin got into the Bioship. The Hangar Bay Doors then opened, and all of them took off to New York.
New York January 1st 1016 Hours UTC
"So, let me get this straight," Anakin said, trying to process everything he was just told by the Team. "Earth has teleportational devices called Zeta Tubes, and with them, people can just teleport themselves to anywhere in the planet?" he asked, now bewildered at Earth Technology.
"Pretty much." Ahsoka said through the Communicator on her Jedi Starfighter.
Anakin smirked and placed his hand to his chin. He chuckled before starting to think about it all. "I'm impressed." He finally said. "Do you know who developed this kind of system?" he asked.
"The inventor of the Zeta Tubes is named Adam Strange, but he's currently residing in Newark." Garfield replied.
Soon, all of the ships landed outside of the Building of the United Nations. Everyone stepped out, Anakin looking to all of the planes and aircrafts coming to the area. Ahsoka looked to her Master and rolled her eyes. "It's like a Senate Gathering, except everyone is equal in power, and the choices that are made affect the entire world." She explained.
Anakin nodded before they all then entered the building.
Inside, Ahsoka came across a guard and held up her badge. "Ahsoka Tano, already cleared by the Justice League." She explained. The guard nodded and saluted before everyone then entered different elevators, heading to the higher level, where they knew the rest of the United Nations, Batman, Hawkman and Icon would be waiting for them.
On the top floor, everyone emerged out of the elevators, seeing all of the world's respective leaders waiting for them. Barack Obama of the United States, Queen Perdita of Vlatava, Tseng Dangun of Rhelasia, and all of the other world leaders looked to the Team and the Jedi enter the room, Perdita sending a friendly smile towards Kid Flash and Ahsoka. Batman stood next to Hawkman and Icon, who were also waiting for them to arrive.
After the whole Team had settled in, Lux looked to President Obama and craned his neck. "So, is there a consensus here, or are we still deciding?" he asked.
Barack Obama looked to Lux and placed his hand on the table. "Rebel, as far as we know, this is the second worldwide threat and ultimatum ever since the Injustice League attacked, and demanded a ransom for all of the world's money." Obama said. "Dooku is obviously new to the game, and we could just be pawns for all we know."
Singh Manh Li looked towards Ahsoka, Anakin and Serra with a scowl on his face. "I blame you for the arrival of the Separatists!" he exclaimed, pointing an accusing finger towards Anakin Skywalker.
"He brought his war to us!" Vladimir added on.
"I only came here for Ahsoka!" Anakin loudly reasoned. "Dooku's nothing but a liar and a coward!"
"The only way we'll be safe is if we turn in every Jedi on Earth to Count Dooku!" Singh exclaimed.
Ahsoka then slammed her fist onto the table, getting everyone's full attention. "Everyone, shut the Hell up!" she exclaimed, looking to the Team, her Master, Hawkman, Icon, and even Batman.
"Ahsoka…" Anakin started out, but Ahsoka just activated one of her lightsabers, which stabbed right into the floor.
"Dooku is nothing more than a lowlife scoundrel!" Ahsoka exclaimed. She then pressed a button on her gauntlet, showing some holographic footage of Dooku's actions in the past. "He attempted to frame the Jedi for the murder of the son of Jabba the Hutt, who controlled all of the Hyperspace Lanes from the Clone Army to the Republic itself!" she started out, showing her and Anakin protecting Rotta the Hutt from Asajj Ventress and other Separatist Forces.
Lux then stepped up and placed his hand to his chest. "He killed my mother, and attempted to sway Star Systems to his side through blackmail and assassination." Rebel spoke up.
Saw was the next to speak. "Dooku brought the Separatists to my home planet, bringing an iron fist over all of my people, and it was only because of me and Rebel, as well as a brave insurgency, that we were able to drive out the Separatists."
Anakin saw what was happening and then stepped up. "Dooku cannot be trusted. His calm and trustworthy demeanor is nothing more than a Veil that covers up his true persona: a traitor to the Republic and the Jedi Order, and a murderer!" he exclaimed.
"Dooku, a murderer?" Perdita then asked.
Anakin nodded at this and then started to go for his right glove. He then removed it, revealing his golden, cybernetic, prosthetic arm. Everyone gasped in horror at this as Anakin placed his robotic arm into the air. "This is proof that he attempted to take my life after killing thousands of Jedi!" he exclaimed.
Ahsoka then stepped up and spread out her arms as she looked to the members of the United Nations. "World Leaders, I plead to you; do not place your trust in Count Dooku. He will turn on you the minute he gains your trust, and he will turn everything you hold dear into nothing!"
Barack Obama finally slammed his fist onto the table. "I have heard enough!" he exclaimed. Everyone turned to him as he slowly started to lift his head. "Think of what Ahsoka has done for us in the past! Even if Dooku keeps his word, who will be there to keep us safe?" he asked. Everyone looked to each other before Barack then grew a stern look on his face. "I vote not to turn Ahsoka in!"
Perdita was the next to stand. "I second Barack Obama's decision" she exclaimed.
Vladimir smiled and nodded, standing up and nodding. "Aye!" he exclaimed.
"In agreement!" Singh stated.
After hearing so many of the World Leaders give their support not to hand over the Jedi, Tseng Dangun agreed. "It is decided, then." He stated. "We will not turn in our Jedi Protectors. And if Count Dooku decides to declare war on us, we shall be ready, and we shall win!" he yelled out.
Everyone cheered for this, all in agreement. Anakin then looked to Ahsoka. The Padawan who was always snippy and questioning to him was now wiser beyond comparison.
In the Invisible Hand, Count Dooku waited for the answer from the United Nations. He then looked down to a holographic image of General Grievous and craned his neck. "General, should the United Nations fail to comply with my ultimatum and join the Separatist Alliance, you have your order to attack." The Count said.
Grievous chuckled before his laugh then turned into a cough. "It will be done, Count!" he exclaimed. He then ended the transmission, letting out some more laughs and coughs as he began looking to his army of Droids, all prepared to march in and bring down the White House.
Just then, the screen on the monitor inside of the Invisible Hand started to show static. Dooku looked to his Tactical Droid and then nodded, in which the Tactical Droid nodded back. He pressed a button, and the image of Tseng Dangun appeared. Count Dooku smiled and stepped up. "Ah, Prime Minister Tseng Dangun. I assume that you are prepared to hand over the Jedi?" he asked.
Tseng Dangun just looked to Dooku and shook his head. "Count Dooku, with all that the Jedi have done for us, and from what we have been told about you, we will never hand over Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Serra Keto!" he exclaimed.
Dooku then looked down to Dangun with a scowl forming on his face. "So be it." Tyranus remarked. Immediately, he signed off, and then contacted General Grievous again. "General, the Delegate of the United Nations has refused to hand over the Jedi." He stated. "You have my permission to begin your attack."
General Grievous laughed at this before it turned into a cough. "It shall be done, Count Dooku." Grievous replied sinisterly. He then turned to his Droid Army and raised up a lightsaber in his right hand. "All forces, advance!" He ordered, activating his lightsaber.
"Roger, roger." All of the Droids said, getting into their tanks or onto their speeders and charging at the White House. One of the Standard Battle Droids looked to another Battle Droid next to him and tilted its head. "Hey, why did they even paint the White House white?" He asked.
The other Battle Droid looked to his comrade and shrugged. "Because they ran out of pink?" He answered, not so sure himself.
The Droidekas then started to roll in. "Blast the Presidential Palace down!" He ordered. Both the Droidekas and the Separatist Tanks then started to open fire at the White House.
Watchtower January 1st 1100 Hours EST
Meanwhile, in the Watchtower, Green Lanterns Jon Stewart and Hal Jordan watched the battle go on. Just then, Superman came in on the screen. "Green Lanterns, are you seeing this?" The Man of Steel asked.
"We're seeing it, alright, Clark." Plasticman replied as he stretched himself over.
"Dooku has finally shown his true colors." Wonder Woman added on, clenching her fists in anger.
"We'll take the fight to them!" Jon Stewart then exclaimed. He looked to Hal and nodded. The two then started to make their way towards the window of the Watchtower to attack Count Dooku's vicarious ship. "Fire!" Jon then yelled.
All of a sudden, the Watchtower vanished into thin air!
On the ground below, Klarion smirked evilly as he then lowered his arms, the Watchtower having disappeared in red mist. He stroked Teekl before reaching towards a holographic communicator. "Dooku, the Watchtower, and every member of the Justice League in it, has now been banished." He reported.
Count Dooku looked to where the Watchtower was before looking down to Klarion and the rest of the Light. "A promise is a promise, my friends." He said with a smug smirk on his face.
"Indeed." Vandal Savage replied.
"By forming an alliance with you, our respective cities and countries that we rule and sovereign are now under complete protection." Lex Luthor stated as he held up a wine glass.
"Now, no one is left to keep the peace." Queen Bee added on.
"And our combined powers will now be enough to take down the ORDER!" OceanMaster stated.
"Then the time to strike at the ORDER is at hand." Dooku then said. "Nothing can stop us"
"Count Dooku, there is an incoming series of vessels approaching us at an increasing speed!" The Tactical Droid reported.
Dooku narrowed his eyes to the Tactical Droid before getting up from his seat. "So, the Republic Strikes Back." He mused.
The Tactical Droid shook its head and brought up a holographic monitor. "I am detecting a total of sixteen ships, one of which is organic." The Tactical Droid reported.
Dooku's eyes immediately widened as he ran towards the console. "A living ship?!" He exclaimed with much disbelief.
"Three more organic life forms approaching." The Tactical Droid then reported.
In space, M'gann and the Team piloted the Bioship leading a battalion of small ships and fighters, such the Tano, Ahsoka, Anakin, Obi-Wan and Serra's Jedi Starfighters, seven Gunships, and Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and Jon Stewart, and Superman. "Everyone ready?" Obi-Wan asked.
"You've got it!" Serra exclaimed.
"I knew something was up since that day we fought against Darth Maul." Ahsoka stated, thinking back to when she and the Team fought against the ORDER and the Light.
Three Months Ago
"When I was looking through the cargo shipments, I noticed that there were weapons only the Separatists used." Ahsoka explained. She looked into one of the crates from the ship, seeing E-5 Blaster Rifles. "But that wasn't the first time…" Ahsoka went on.
Eight Months Ago
"There were parts for Droidekas in crates when M'gann, Beast Boy and I went to stop Queen Bee," Ahsoka then explained. "Ever since then, I knew that something was up, but didn't know what to think of it…"
Present Time…
"Until now." Ahsoka then concluded.
"So, the Light has formed an alliance with Count Dooku and the Separatists for quite some time now, huh?" Anakin asked.
"It started out with Dooku sending one squadron of Droids to collect data on males." Ahsoka deducted, thinking back to when she, Barriss and Cheshire were forced to work with each other to get back Mal Duncan.
"And then they were trying to get any data they could when the Droids kidnapped the world political leaders." Aqualad then said, remembering how they all had to deal with Droid Forces for the first time in Detroit, Michigan.
"And Queen Bee probably took one of the Tactical Droids to the Light, where Ivo started to use it to contact Dooku." M'gann then said next.
Zatanna sighed before nodding. "Good thing Doctor Fate and I cast that counter spell on the Watchtower after Klarion struck, and that no one was in it." She stated.
Obi-Wan started to put all the pieces of the puzzle together before sighing in frustration. "All this time, the Light and the Separatists had this secret alliance, and we would have never seen it coming,"
"Had it not been for the Team." Anakin finished up.
Just then, Rex's voice came in. "Everyone, we are now approaching the Invisible Hand." Captain Rex reported.
"This is where the fun begins." Ahsoka quipped.
Everyone chuckled at this before Superman then flew by, aiming his laser vision eyesight right at the Hangar Bay Doors, bringing them down with just a single shot. "Get in!" He yelled to everyone.
"We're rolling!" Artemis exclaimed as the Bioship led all if the squadron of ships into the Hangar Bay.
Washington DC 1138 Hours EST
General Wade Eiling started to lead his men against the Droid Onslaught led by General Grievous. "Don't stop until those tin cans are scrap!" Eiling called out to his troops.
Grievous snarled at Wade Eiling's attempts to stop them. "Don't stop until those flesh bags are laid to waste!" He yelled out to the Droid Forces.
A Homing Spider Droid then shot at twelve soldiers while some Droidekas took down some tanks. A Commando Droid was about to murder Wade Eiling until suddenly, an arrow and a shuriken was thrown at the Commando's vibroblade.
"What?!" Grievous exclaimed. He then looked up to see Red Arrow and Cheshire land on the ground in front of the Droid Army, both brandishing their own respective weapons.
"That's as far as you go with your Robot Riot." Cheshire quipped, aiming a sai at the Droid General.
Grievous chuckled at the sight of Red Arrow and Cheshire before he unsheathed all of his four lightsabers. "So, the green soldier finally reveals herself!" He exclaimed before suddenly coughing. "I expected the other heroes on Earth to be… bigger in numbers."
"They are!" A deep female voice then called out. Grievous gasped and turned around to see Blue Devil, Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Wildcat, Black Lightning, Aquaman, Black Canary, Red Tornado, and Fire, in a green suit with white flaming details all over, fly or glide down, landing next to Red Arrow and Cheshire. "You guys are in deep trouble." Fire then remarked.
Grievous growled and looked to all the heroes who showed up to help. "Kill them all!" He yelled to his Droids. Immediately, all Battle Droids charged at the heroes.
Every hero stood ready with Wade Eiling and his troops, all charging back at the Droid Army. "Go!" Blue Devil called out.
Two Super Battle Droids ran in and attempted to crush Fire, but she flew into the air and then sent a blast at the Droids' feet, causing them to melt.
Guy Gardner formed guns from his Ring and started to shoot at twenty-nine Homing Spider Droids before leaping into the air and manifesting an energy machine gun to blast about thirty more. "Yee-Haw!" He exclaimed.
Black Knighting reached for some downed power lines, using the electrical energy to knock out the shields of twelve Droidekas before he let Red Arrow then shoot explosive arrows at all of them, causing the Droidekas to explode upon the arrows' impact.
A Tactical Droid then started to fire upon Aquaman and the General of the United States Army. Before he could fire some more, Black Canary kicked him down and then screamed at him so hard that he shattered into pieces. Aquaman soon returned the favor by throwing his trident at some Battle Droids preparing to fire upon Dinah, followed by Eiling using his gun to shoot down several Homing Spider Droids about to blindside Arthur.
Grievous looked around in anger before Cheshire leapt in front of him, dual-wielding vibroblades in place of her usual katanas or sais. "Wanna dance, Fourarms?" She asked snippily.
"Ladies first!" Grievous yelled, slashing down with two lightsabers. Cheshire used her new blades to block the attack before throwing a shuriken at the Droid General's chest, knocking him back.
In the Invisible Hand, Superman started to hold off many Droids approaching him. A Super Battle Droid attempted to strangle Kal-El, but he just grabbed its blaster arm and used it to take down five more incoming Droids. Seven Commando Droids then appeared before Superman, all aiming their blades and blasters at him. "Hands up, Kryptonian." One of the Commandos ordered.
Clark did nothing but stay where he was. Soon, the rest of the ships entered the Hangar Bay, knocking down Vulture Droids before they all crash-landed next to Superman, who didn't even budge an inch.
Beast Boy then leapt out, morphing into a gorilla before slamming down onto twelve Droids. "It's a trap!" One of the Commando Droids exclaimed.
Ahsoka shot the same Droid with her arm-mounted crossbow before her cockpit controls turned into motorcycle handles. "Let it rip!" She yelled out.
Serra laughed and did the same with her own Starfighter cockpit controls. "Time to rage against the machine!" She called out with growing adrenaline.
Anakin and Obi-Wan then came out of their own Jedi Starfighters before they looked over towards the Starfighters of Ahsoka and Serra. Three wheels appeared on the bottom of both Starfighters and with the shifts of the handles, Ahsoka and Serra started to ride all over the place, taking out Battle Droids as they rode.
"Now that's Wizard!" Anakin exclaimed.
"I'll say." Obi-Wan added on.
Just then, a series of Droidekas appeared from the sides, firing upon the Team. "Etaerc a dleihs rof esnefed!" Zatanna then incanted, creating a shield made of pure energy. Rocket made the same shield before Robin then threw some Birdarangs, faltering the Droidekas and then sending them back.
Ahsoka pressed a button on her cockpit controls, causing R7 to separate from her Starfighter with part of it while Ahsoka rode the rest on her Jedi Cycle. Serra smirked and pressed the same button, getting her Jedi Cycle out as well.
The Droidekas then started to surround Ahsoka and Serra, all immediately shooting down on them. Ahsoka smirked and just stood in her Jedi Cycle, letting all of the blasts bounce off. Serra did the same, and after the Droids ceased firing, missile launchers and small side-arms appeared on the sides, firing back at the Droids. Unlike the two female Jedi, the Droids weren't so lucky.
Ahsoka and Serra both then leapt out of their Starfighters, activating their lightsabers as they jumped into the air. The remainder of the Droids started to unleash their fire power at them, but Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan and Serra just deflected every blast before Aqualad then unleashed a torrent of water at them, followed by Artemis shooting three more Droids with her explosive arrows.
From the Bridge, Count Dooku looked down to the holographic camera, seeing everything happen before his very eyes. "I must admit, the Team certainly has experience in battle." He said both in interest and horror. He then walked away towards his Meditation Chambers, growing a smirk on his face.
Meanwhile, the entire Team jumped up into the air, all firing upon the Droids as Rex and Cody's troops provided cover fire for them. Superboy then landed on the ground, delivering some heavy kicks to some Standard Battle Droids before they fired upon Captain Rex, flipping in the air on a higher catwalk before shooting back. Beast Boy then slammed down a Super Battle Droid as M'gann formed an arrowhead from her arm and used it to cut some Droids down to size.
Batgirl started to deliver kicks of her own towards some more Super Battle Droids before Ahsoka then leapt in and activated her double-bladed lightsaber, stabbing and slashing at Standard Battle Droids, Super Battle Droids, Droid Commandos, and some Droidekas as well. Rocket then flipped one of the Droids over as Serra slashed another with Aqualad and Robin twirling a Standard Battle Droid over his back.
Artemis then shot at a Droid Commando before Saw jumped in, slamming a Droid in the head, and then using both his rifle and the Droid's own blaster to take down some more incoming Droids.
Rocket then activated her Power Gauntlets and slammed down onto the ground, creating a shockwave that sent Droids back before Cody performed a head-butt upon twelve Droids. Zatanna then jumped down from the catwalk and rolled over before getting back up again, blasting a spell at two Droids about to grab her before performing an uppercut at a Droideka.
Superman grabbed two Super Battle Droids and then smashed their heads together before tossing a Droideka towards Jon Stewart. "Thanks!" Jon yelled out, using his Ring to smash the Droid and then manifest a machine gun out of Green Lantern energy. Hal Jordan made a football construct, throwing it towards many charging Super Battle Droids before then forming a boomerang, which took out the rest of the Battle Droids surrounding the Leaguers.
Anakin then jumped into the air, his lightsaber out in front of him in a Shii-Cho stance before slashing down at three MagnaGuards before Obi-Wan then did an Ataru strike at seven more.
After Anakin and Obi-Wan struck, all the Droids were destroyed. Ahsoka looked to Anakin with a smile, in which Anakin then looked back. "Nice work there, Snips." The Chosen One complimented.
Ahsoka chuckled and patted her Master on the shoulder. "Same for you, Skyguy." She quipped. She then looked up, seeing the camera. Lifting up her arm-mounted crossbow, Ahsoka shot it, and Artemis, Lux and Saw shot out the rest of the cameras in the room.
"Time to find Dooku." Serra then said enthusiastically.
"Right!" everyone then yelled.
All of a sudden, more Droids came in. "Not again!" Green Lantern Jon Stewart said out loud.
The Droidekas started to open up and fire, but Hal formed a shield. He then turned towards the Team, Anakin and Obi-Wan and nodded. "We'll keep the Droid here at bay!" he exclaimed.
Fives then ran up with a Rocket-Launcher on his shoulder, shooting it at many more Droids before the rest of the Clones joined in. "Get Dooku!" Rex yelled.
Ahsoka looked to the Clones and smiled. "Keep up the good work, men!" she exclaimed. With that, everyone took off into the halls, where they fired upon relentless battalions of Droids. Ahsoka unsheathed her blue lightsaber and then aimed it at the Droids. "Time to make this showy!" she exclaimed, shooting at the Droids. The rest of the Team followed with Anakin and Obi-Wan, all slashing and blasting at every Droid.
Artemis got onto her knees and shot at three MagnaGuards while Anakin and Ahsoka both sent twin slashes at them. The Droids immediately exploded before Serra then went on her knees, sending a slash towards some more MagnaGuards with Saw providing cover fire above her. All the MagnaGuards in the hallway were soon taken care of before everyone then headed towards the Bridge.
Every Droid looked in surprise as Ahsoka then ran in, shooting an energized arrow from her crossbow gauntlet into the air, followed by her slashing down at many of the Droids. The Tactical Droid backed away in fear before Robin and Jaybo both sent twin taser cords at it, electrocuting the Tactical Droid before Obi-Wan then cut it down.
M'gann lifted many of the Droids at the controls into the air before Zatanna then aimed her wand at them. "Erif nrub nordluac elbbub!" she incanted, causing all of the Droids to catch on fire.
The Team then regrouped, looking to each other proudly. "Now, we find Dooku!" Anakin exclaimed.
"That will not be much of a challenge for you, Skywalker." A voice then said. Everyone gasped and turned around as Count Dooku then flipped into the air and landed in front of them. "Seventeen against one." Dooku mused. The Team all stood ready to take him on before he threw aside his cape. "These odds are quite… amusing."
Dooku then placed his curved-hilted lightsaber out in front of him, activating the blade before twirling it and placing it at his side. Ahsoka replied by throwing her deactivated lightsaber hilts into the air and then activating them, followed with Anakin, Obi-Wan and Serra activating their own lightsabers as well. Aqualad then unsheathed both of his Water-Bearer Swords with Lux activating the Darksaber as the Team all stood ready for battle soon afterwards.
"You may have managed to take down both Anakin and I together before, Dooku, but now, you're up against four Jedi and an exceptionally skilled Covert Team." Obi-Wan spat.
Dooku kept his Makashi Position and scoffed. "Do not assume you have the advantage simply because there are more of you." He remarked.
Anakin then aimed his lightsaber at Dooku. "You will pay for attempting to manipulate the people of Earth into giving up the Jedi!" he exclaimed.
"We shall see, Skywalker," Dooku said. He then shifted his eyes towards Ahsoka. "So, you are Skywalker's Padawan." He said.
"Don't underestimate me, Old Man." Ahsoka remarked.
"The same goes for us!" Miss Martian then yelled.
Dooku only chuckled before unleashing his Sith Lightning at them. The Team all gasped as Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan and Serra held out their lightsabers, thereby defending themselves from the Lightning.
Anakin and Obi-Wan then charged at Dooku, who clashed with both of them using his calm version of Makashi. He held one hand behind his back as he blocked two Ataru swings from Anakin before Obi-Wan then struck with Soresu. Dooku continued to parry them off until Serra Force-Sped to strategize with Ahsoka and the rest of the Team.
Count Dooku turned around and then struck with his lightsaber, but Lux blocked the blade before Ahsoka and Serra ran out from the Meditation Chambers, both prepared to take on Dooku for the first time. Ahsoka struck first with a Shii-Cho slash, but her blade was then knocked away before Serra clashed with him. Both Jedi and Sith locked their blades with each other before Dooku then kicked her away.
Ahsoka then performed a Makashi stab, but the Count swiped his lightsaber along hers before she then unsheathed her secondary lightsaber, combining the two to form her double-bladed lightsaber hilt. With that, she attacked Dooku with Niman attacks, but Count Dooku was the master of two double-bladed lightsaber Sith Apprentices, and was easily able to fend off the attacks.
Serra then clashed high with Dooku, but he knocked her aside before Ahsoka then clashed with him again. She struck first with the azure side of her double-bladed lightsaber before then quickly switching to her emerald side. Dooku ducked and dodged the attacks Ahsoka made with her saber staff before finally slicing the two hilts apart. Ahsoka's green lightsaber flew into the air, but she kept on clashing with Count Dooku, looking to her fallen lightsaber still floating around.
Dooku pressed on with his attacks, but Ahsoka, even when turning around, continued to clash before she kicked the Jedi from the Lost Twenty in the chest, letting her shoto fall to the ground. She then kicked it into the air. "M'gann!" she called out. Miss Martian nodded at this and grabbed the yellow shoto before Robin then jumped into the air and kicked the green lightsaber back at Ahsoka. Dooku prepared for impact, but Ahsoka grabbed her fallen blade before it could hit him, placing it back in her left hand.
Aqualad then ran in to attack with his Water-Bearers. Count Dooku noticed the attack and placed his blade out in front of him in a Makashi stance, defending himself from the slash. "You have no Force, yet you fight like a Jedi." Dooku stated upon blocking two more attacks from Kaldur'ahm. "However, I sense a powerful urge within you that wishes to seek the truth." Dooku then said. Aqualad snarled at Count Dooku before swinging a water hammer construct at him.
Dooku was knocked back slightly by this before he slashed at the side, twenty birdarangs falling to the ground, now in pieces. Robin gasped at this before Kid Flash started to circle around the Count. Dooku started to feel a lack of oxygen before Superboy leapt in, slamming onto the ground as soon as Wally ran away. "Ooh!" Dooku exclaimed in pain, being thrown back.
Artemis, Saw and Batgirl then all fired upon Dooku, using blasters, arrows and batarangs. Dooku slashed away the projectiles before deflecting the blasts. He suddenly sensed someone else attacking from the side, and then saw Beast Boy, morphed now as the Parasitic Wasp, then flew in and clashed his stinger with Dooku's hilt. Count Dooku was thrown back by the heavy momentum before Rocket then trapped the Count in one of her bubbles.
Dooku looked over to Raquel, floating in the air. "Impressive use of kinetic energy, young girl." The Count complimented the protégé of Icon.
"Hit it, and it gets stronger, Dooku." Rocket then spat.
Count Dooku only smirked and deactivated his lightsaber. "We shall see." He said. Everyone then watched as Dooku sent a powerful surge of Sith Lightning at the Bubble, which then shattered. Raquel was pushed back by this, and Dooku then looked up to her. "I believe that settles your theory." He quipped.
"Etativel mih!" Zatanna then incanted, causing Dooku to be lifted off of the ground.
"What the–?" Dooku asked. His short, cut question was then answered by the sigh of Zatanna, aiming her wand at him. He growled upon seeing her. "Magic!" he exclaimed, remembering the fiasco he had with Mother Talzin and the Nightsisters. He then activated his lightsaber and held it up to his head-level, preparing to throw it at Zatanna.
Meanwhile, Cheshire and Grievous were both pushed back following the two performing slashes at each other. General Grievous chuckled and aimed his lightsaber towards Jade Nguyen. "I confess, Feline, that you are a very worthy opponent." The Kaleesh General complimented.
Cheshire panted as she aimed one of her vibroblades back at General grievous. "Not bad for a Droid." She spat back. Grievous chuckled at this statement, but then abruptly coughed. Cheshire tilted her head to the side and chuckled. "You wanna surrender, make me the winner, and get that cough checked out?"
"I'm not finished with you yet, Feline!" Grievous spat. With that, both of the combatants prepared their blades, getting ready to battle again.
As soon as a Droid was knocked down to the ground, the two resumed their battle. Grievous growled and then placed both of his hands back together, unsheathing his electrostaff and giving Jade a good look at the face under his mask.
"Youch!" Cheshire exclaimed sarcastically, pretending to back away in fear. "That's a face only a mother could love."
"Leave my mother out of this!" Grievous then yelled, charging at Jade, the two now preparing to fight each other in hand-to-hand combat.
Jade started to throw punches and jabs at Grievous, who was using his own staff to shock Cheshire back. Cheshire performed a low roundhouse kick before Grievous picked her up with his foot, throwing her away. The two then ran up the side of a wall, where they continued their fight until Cheshire kicked a large rock at Grievous, sending him to the ground. "Gah!" Grievous yelled in anger. Cheshire just placed two fingers into the air in front of her and then sent shurikens raining down upon Grievous.
Aboard the Invisible Hand, Zatanna screamed as she dodged the lightsaber throws made by Dooku. "Zatanna, heads up!" M'gann then yelled. Zatanna looked over to the side and then leapt into the air, grabbing the shoto that M'gann grabbed before. With it, Zatanna sent Dooku's lightsaber right back at him, but she also lost her focus on Dooku, causing him to drop to the floor and charge right at her. Zatanna was ready this time, however, and blocked Dooku's Makashi stab with the shoto.
At that moment, M'gann flew in, clashing with Dooku right after Zatanna kicked him away. Dooku looked towards M'gann's lightsaber hilt and mumbled. "What are you?" he asked curiously.
"The Martian who will take… you… down." M'gann threatened dangerously. She then began to press her attack on Dooku, but he started to push her back.
"I sense some sort of level of the Force within you, Martian." Dooku stated. "A grand power that is beyond both me and my Master." He stated.
"I'm no Jedi, so cut it out!" M'gann yelled, throwing Dooku off.
Count Dooku regained his balance before getting shot at by Ahsoka. He turned to the side just in time to deflect the blast, but Ahsoka's shot was just enough to let Anakin go in and attack. "This time for sure, Dooku, I'll scar you like you took my arm!" he exclaimed.
Count Dooku laughed at this statement as he kept Anakin at bay with his blade. "You don't have the power."
"But I do!" Ahsoka then called out.
Dooku then Force-Pushed Anakin to the side before he started to relentlessly attack Ahsoka. "You chose the wrong Sith to take on, girl!" he exclaimed.
Ahsoka just activated both of her lightsabers before leaping into the air, catching Count Dooku off guard. In the correct order, Ahsoka started to perform all seven Lightsaber Forms with her azure lightsaber against the Count, eventually slashing him away with her secondary green lightsaber. At the minute Dooku struck with a Makashi jab, Ahsoka blocked it, and her eyes started to glow blue.
"Form VIII: SokaTan!" she exclaimed.
"An eighth lightsaber form?!" Dooku yelled in surprise. "How is this possible?!"
Ahsoka then stabbed her lightsaber down, now glowing bright, and then pulled it up, which formed bright blue line. She then slashed again, in the opposite downwards direction, and then, with a final slash, completed her Trinity Symbol and slashed it towards Dooku. Count Dooku stood in shock as he was then hit. The power of the attack soon sent him to his knees.
Count Dooku panted as he then looked up. "This is not the end, Ahsoka Tano!" he exclaimed. With that, tossed a fallen MagnaGuard electrostaff towards the controls, causing the controls to explode, much to everyone's surprise.
"Until we meet again!" Dooku then called out, running towards another part of the ship. Everything on the Invisible Hand then started to explode as Count Dooku then took off in his Solar Sailor.
Anakin was about to chase after Dooku, but Obi-Wan and Ahsoka both stopped him. "Forget Dooku! We need to leave!" Ahsoka called out.
Anakin looked to Count Dooku's Solar Sailor fly away into the vortex before he turned around and sighed. "Okay." He finally said.
Everyone then started to run towards the Hangar Bay, where the Clones and the Leaguers were waiting for them. "Come on!" Rex called out.
Soon, every Gunship and Leaguer started to take off, with the Jedi Starfighters, the Tano, and the Martian Bioship following soon afterwards.
On the ground, Cheshire started to run towards Grievous, now armed once again. Grievous charged at Jade as well, armed with his four lightsabers. The two ran through each other, both panting in exhaustion.
Finally, Grievous dropped, and looked to Cheshire. "This is far from over!" he exclaimed. Jade just sent General Grievous a glare as her mask fell off. Grievous growled and ran towards his fighter, taking off into the vortex.
Cheshire panted and was about to faint, but Red Arrow caught her. "Nice job." He said. Jade looked to the Clone of Roy and smiled back before they walked off, the rest of the heroes departing as well.
Washington DC January 1st 1600 Hours EST
Everyone cheered as Ahsoka, the Team, and her Jedi Masters all walked up to the stage. "So, this is what it's like to gain a big victory on your planet, huh?" Ahsoka asked M'gann.
"Honestly, this has never happened before." The Martian Girl replied back.
Anakin smiled at this before glancing off to the side. His wife and the Senator of Naboo, Padmé Amidala, smiled to Anakin before walking up to the stage as well, coming face to face with Tseng Dangun. "Prime Minister, it is with great honor to meet you." She said.
Tseng smiled and nodded. "I must thank the Republic, as well as the Jedi Order, for helping us to fight off against Count Dooku." He replied.
Obi-Wan then looked to Anakin. "I called for Senator Amidala to be the Republic Representative for an alliance with Earth." He explained.
"Who would've known?" Anakin asked sarcastically.
Padmé extended her hand towards Tseng, and the Prime Minister shook it. "From this day on, Earth will gain the support of the Republic!" Padmé announced.
"And Earth will join the Republic as its new ally!" Tseng then proclaimed. Everyone cheered as the Team and the Jedi Masters smiled to one another, now knowing that a true alliance has been made.
Aboard Count Dooku's Solar Sailor, Count Dooku pulled up a holographic transmission with his Master, Darth Sidious. "My Master, I have failed to bring Earth to the Separatist Cause." Dooku reported grimly. "They are now in league with the Republic."
Sidious looked down to Dooku and chuckled. "Fear not, my Apprentice." He said. Dooku looked up in confusion before Sidious started to raise his hands slowly. "Tides of War always change, and very soon, the Sith will rule the Galaxy!" he exclaimed. Dooku smirked at this before Sidious finished up, "And not even Earth will be safe from my plans."
