Blossom woke up to yelling, as everyone struggled to pack tents and put away animals. The train that would take them to their next stop would be here soon and they needed to be waiting at the tracks. It would be a long day's journey for most of the circus team. It would be a lonely carriage ride for Blossom.
She had insisted that she would ride the train with everyone else, but unfortunately her father had scared them all and she had to ride in a carriage. Not even Brick got this kind of treatment she would have to scold her father about it later.
She walked over to the tent that held her ice and went inside. She saw all the wonderful creations that had amazed the visitors for the past few days. She looked around taking in everything and as soon as she was done she held up her hands. She twirled her hands twice and as soon as she dropped them everything melted. She fixed her cloak around her and walked out of the tent.
Shortly after it was taken down and everything was ready to go. Everyone would go to the train from here while Blossom walked over to a dark carriage.
"Blossom!" it was Bubbles Blossom turned to her waiting for her to speak
"Oh Blossom I wish you safe travels! I shall see you shortly." Bubbles smiled and started to walk towards the others Blossom looked to see all of her friends laughing and joking. She looked deeper into the crowd and saw Brick leaning against her old trailer he looked right back at her and smirked. Seeing him she glared and looked away.
She entered the dark carriage and knocked "Alright let's go." She said all feeling in her voice gone. Her face showed no sign of feeling, all that was seen was a cold look. Just like the powers the young girl possessed.
1851
It was the day before Christmas and Blossom found herself in a dark tavern on a gloomy night in London. Her mother had died on Christmas Eve so many years ago. The sixteen year old girl sat in silence as she drank. Her father had sent her away to study a year ago. She was not to return till he called on her. She enjoyed her time alone; it gave her freedom a freedom she had longed for ever since she was put in her father's care.
Sometimes she thought about her mother and how she had loved her, she was a lot like her long beautiful red hair and smart. The only thing Blossom had that her mother didn't was her distinct light pink eyes. Her mother had assumed it was a side effect, a disease. She had blamed her father. Blossom never did hear the story about why her mother left her father. All she did know is at one point they were madly in love.
Blossom told herself she would never fall in love, to save her trouble. No one could really understand her nature anyways. Blossom had worked hard to keep her power a secret she would not let anyone in. For how could she? She was a mess, a poor orphan girl who had been left in the care of a madman professor who wanted nothing to do with her besides her amazing ability.
Blossom sat in silence until she was done and paid the bill. She left the small tavern to walk back to her small home. She noticed it was raining so she put up her small umbrella and looked down at the ground. It was late, not really late but she figured it was around 8 or 9 'o clock. She figured there would be people on the streets but not that many, she walked along the dim lighted street and continued on home until she felt someone bump against her.
"Oh my goodness I'm so sorry." She looked up to find a boy about her age maybe a year older holding wrapped packages in his hand.
"No, I should be saying sorry I wasn't looking where I was going." Blossom said quietly
"I figured no one would be out here so I was running." The boy laughed
"Same here, I do suppose I forgot those last minute gifts." Blossom said pointing to the packages he was holding
"Oh yes these." He said getting flustered
"Well you see there's a party down the street that I'm quite late for and I was running to get these there."
"Well I shan't keep you any longer." Blossom smiled seeing his face in the dim light
"You sure you'll be fine?!" He said seeing her walking away
"These streets can be dangerous around night!" He yelled seeing her walking away
She heard footsteps behind her and saw that the boy had caught up with her
"Look come with me to the party and I'll walk you home as soon as its over, please don't want a young miss like you getting hurt."
Blossom sighed knowing very well she could handle herself but she didn't want the boy to worry. "Alright! But as soon as it's over you're walking me home." She smiled and looked up at the boy
They walked together to the party in almost silence. "My name is Adam by the way."
"Mine is Blossom." She said
"Seems fitting, seeing your eyes match them so perfectly." Adam said smiling
Blossom smiled, no one had ever said anything like that about her eyes she almost always got rude comments or weird looks. But what he said brought a smile to her face.
"Well here we are, don't worry about my friends they're all fun and nice. Just stay close to me." Adam grabbed her hand and led her inside the small apartment. Blossom looked down at her hand and blushed; a boy had never held her hand much less invited her to a party.
"Adam!" A girl with brownish reddish hair came up to him and hugged him "Merry Christmas!" She then turned her attention away from him to look at Blossom "And who's this?!" she said with a sly smile
"Just a friend Princess didn't want her to be alone today so I brought her along." Adam smiled and looked at Blossom who just blushed
"Oh well nice to meet you I'm princess." Blossom noticed her golden brown eyes and curly hair that looked like it went everywhere. "I'm Blossom." She said with a smile
"Great! Now get in here both of you!" Princess yelled and ran into the other room when they walked in blossom took in the amount of people her age there was. Most of them seemed like they came from all walks of life.
"That over there is Mitch, he really likes princess. Next to him is his younger sister Bunny, she has some minor brain issues but a very sweet girl none the less. You've already met princess, she's nice she's literally an heiress but she hangs out with us because she hates that life. She can get snobby sometimes but most of the time she's a good person." He continued to show her and introduce her to many more people as the night continued on.
"Would you like to dance?"
"Excuse me?" Blossom said when Adam held out his hand
"Princess is going to play the piano." Adam said as Princess began to play a soft melody on the grand piano in the corner
Blossom smiled as she took his hand and they swayed back and forth as the soft sweet melody that Princess made came and floated through the air around them. Blossom looked at Adam and finally noticed that he was in fact really handsome. He had chestnut brown eyes and dark brown hair that covered the top of his forehead. He had a nice shirt and black pants on. Blossom noted that he must have been from a middle class family. They swayed back and forth until Princess had finished her song.
"You're a good dancer." He said looking at Blossom
"And you as well." She said still holding his hand
"Alright everyone it's getting late I suggest you all head home!" Princess said holding her hands on her hips
"Is this her apartment?" Blossom whispered to Adam
"Yes her father bought it for her. It's only thing she accepted from him."
Blossom nodded and proceeded to grab her coat from a door
"Hey Adam you take this girl safely home ya hear!?" Princess yelled as she saw the two leaving
"Will do Princess." He said with a smile
"Oh and Blossom!" Princess ran up to her and handed her a small bracelet with a golden heart on it.
"Look it's not much but I can see you need some happiness in your life, and besides I don't this this little trinket, I get a ton of them from my dad."
"But Princess."
"Take it, please."
"Thank you, you've shown me a kindness I haven't known for years." Blossom said with tears forming in her eyes
"Ah no big deal. You come and visit soon ya hear!" Princess said as she shut the door and let the two young people stand outside.
"Thank you, for bringing me. This was fun." Blossom said as she looked at Adam
The rain had stopped and the street lamps were losing their flame.
"Why don't you stay at my place tonight Adam, I have a guest room and warm blankets. It's far too late to send you home alone."
"Ah, I see now. You just can't get rid of me now. Must be my dashing looks." He smirked
"Oh shush, we're almost there." Blossom said laughing
Soon enough they were at Blossom's small apartment.
"The guest room is right over there, please make yourself comfortable." Blossom said disappearing into her room. She returned in a pink night gown and saw Adam who was now shirtless in his room.
"I see you found my books." Blossom said as she neared him.
"I've read this one before, it's really good."
"It's one of my favorites." Said Blossom
"Well goodnight. Adam"
"Blossom wait."
Blossom turned and saw that he had risen from the bed and got close to her
"I left my house late knowing I would have a terrible time at that party… So I just wanted to thank you for running into me."
"Ah but I believe it was you who ran into me." Blossom said smiling
"Well whoever it was. It was a great night thank you." At this point Adam was so close to blossom he was touching her face, He pulled her into him in a hug and she hugged him back
"Goodnight Blossom." He said smiling into her soft orange hair
He kissed her cheek and she left the room
She ran to hers and felt where he had kissed her cheek. She sighed and went to bed happy for the first time in years.

Blossom looked out the window to see the rain had begun. She sighed and went back to reading her book. She reopened it abruptly and found that the end pages were missing and attached to a page was the bracelet Princess had given her two years ago. Its golden heart damaged from the years of wear and inside the old book. It dropped to the floor with a thud as Blossom began to cry icy tears melting as they hit the carriage floor. All the memories flooding back to her as she neared the outskirts of London.
Who was Adam to Blossom? find out in the next chapter! and don't worry there will be more Brick and Blossom in the next chapter too!
