The Future Meats the Past

"Hello, darlings"

The Count awoke from his throne in terror shaking all over. "Master, master?" his servant Renfield ran up to him with bottle of something I don't want to know about, "Are you ok, did you have that nightmare again?" The Count gripped Renfield's collar in his fists and snarled in his face.

"Count Dracula does not have nightmares!" And with that he throws Renfield across the room.

"What's up dad?" The Count turned to his son who slung his school bag-pack on the ground after coming home from a long hard day at school. Seeing his father's sleepy but shocked look and Renfield on the ground he worked it out, "Did you have that nightmare again?" The Count flinched and put his head in his hands.

"Even when I'm asleep I can't get rid of her," He moaned.

"Don't worry dad it's was just a dream, right now she's all the way in Transylvania grooming that werewolf husband of hers and her little werewolf son there is no way she would come back." And just how these T.V series go, the doors where flown open and a glamorous looking women with silk black hair, a tight red dress and carrying a big black bag came floating though.

"Hello darlings"

Vlad's jaw dropped in despair, 'Why do I have to curse everything' he thought.

The Count glared at his son probably thinking 'why my son and heir do you have to curse everything?'

"Isn't anyone happy to see me?" Magda held her arms out as if expecting a welcoming hug or two but the two male Dracula's didn't see this as a happy moment.

"Hi mum" said Vlad in a quiet voice thinking about all the possible tricks and schemes his mother would pull off next. But the Count was not so…

"How dare you just waltz in to my castle!" The count screamed at his x-girlfriend as thunder shook the castle, dust and little pieces of stone fell down on the group as Vlad dusted himself off.

"Honesty Countie I just want to pay you a little visit, is that too much to ask?"

"In your case yes!" The Count snarled "What do you want now?"

"Nothing at all Bonbons I just came to see my… children" she paused on the word children like it was some poison coming from her mouth.

"You already have a child" Vlad pointed out "You remember Barry, the one you tried to dump on us?"

Magda gave Vlad one of her most dirtiest looks, "It's Wolfie now I had to change it and I couldn't call it something stupid like that T.V presented on the CBBC."

"You watch the CBBC?" Vlad shot.

"A bit off topic Vladdy" and like that she walked down the hall.

"Where are you going" The Count demanded.

"Looking for my daughter who will probably appreciate me more," and with that she zoomed off. Vlad turned to his dad,

"You're not getting to let her around the castle alone are you?"

"Why ever not?" The Count leant back on his throne with his feet up on the dinner table, "The sooner she sees Ingrid and the sooner she can leave."

"But Ingrid's is not in she's hanging round with Will today."

"Then she will leave very disappointed" and with that the Count picked up a random a newspaper and read it upside down, Vlad rolled his eyes and strolled out the room looking for his mother. Vlad didn't trust Magda one bit, she didn't just come for visits she came for trouble and Vlad was not prepared to let his guard down. He was thinking of calling Robin but then remembered he was still away on that camping trip…lucky thing, Ingrid was off with Will and there was no way he could rely on Renfield. No, he had to sort this out on his own.

Vlad went up to check Ingrid's room like Magda said where she would be but she was not there. He checked his father's chambers but that was as empty as anything. He even went as far as checking his own room (Even though it was probably the last place she would be) she still wasn't there. Anyway by the time he got to his room he was out of breath, red faced and puffing from all the running he had done all that in a span of one minute.

"Are you ok master Vlad" Zoltan said who stood by the foot of Vlad's bed "You have a face as red as Renfield's watered down tomato sauce and you breathing is as rapid as a wolf pack put together."

"Sorry Zoltan I'm trying to find…mum" Somehow the word 'mum' didn't sound right.

"I think she is making her way to the mirror room Master Vlad and she seemed to be carrying an extremely large black bag, I don't like it."

"How do you know that, did she come in here?"

"No but that vampire hangs out with too many werewolves I could smell her as soon as she strolled through the front gates."

"Thanks" Vlad said, barley hearing Zoltan's reply as he sprinted down to the mirror room as fast as a pre-teen-vampire can go. He knew the chances of him being there before Magda were 0% but maybe he could get there just in time to stop her either taking all the Dracula's power or destroying the blood mirror. Neither of the two sounded great…

While Vlad was just making his way down to the mirror room Magda was already there she had been for the last few minutes trying to get the power out the blood mirror but it was useless, it didn't like her very much.

"Time for plan two" she spoke to the mirror and reached into her black bag. It was so heavy and object in the bag made it no easier. It wasn't the make-up, purse, pocket mirror or hair brush that made the bag heavy it was the large hammer inside it, but desperate times called for desperate measures. She planned on taking the Dracula power for herself, just like that fool Boris tried but Magda had no Dracula blood and was never married to the Count in the first place. A large heavy hammer was not the kind of thing a woman would carry in her handbag unless she intended to use it. To the blood mirror she was a nobody so she might as well destroy it, I mean where else will all that Dracula fortune go, but to her!

She gripped the hammer with two fists, with her back straight and her hair pushed out of her face, if she was going to destroy the Dracula's she might as well do it looking good. But she was too slow.

"MUM!" She turned to see her eldest son Vlad looking too determined for his age but Magda could see the hint of fear in his eyes but that didn't matter Vlad could be stubborn when he wants to be and has outsmarted Magda before. But Magda was not going to lose this time.

"Vladdy what are you doing here?"

"What are you doing here?"

"Destroying the blood mirror" Magda said simply with a smirk as if she was cooking dinner (Like that would ever happen).

"No you won't, if you do you will kill dad."

"Yes, it's a pity" Magda was not being sympathetic "oh well." With that she raised the hammer above her head and turned her back on Vlad ready to smash the mirror but Magda had forgotten how fast Vlad can be.

"NO!" Vlad cried sprinted to his mum grabbing the hammer from her hand. Magda in shock backed up against the mirror but when Vlad next looked up she was gone.

2013

Five years later The Count, Ingrid, Wolfie, Vlad and Renfield were making the most out their Sunday. Sunday was the day were there were no re-vamp classes, no school students around, no council meetings, no one to bother them. Even slayers didn't work on this day. Everything was peaceful…Well not for long. The Dracula's were surprised to hear a loud BANG! BANG! at the front door.

"Who the bats could that be?" said Ingrid slamming her Fang Magazine on her lap. Vlad groaned hoping it was just some postman who likes to work on a Sunday but that seemed highly unlikely.

"I'll get it," Renfield went to the door.

"If it's a postman who likes to work on Sundays don't let him go, I could uses a snack!" The Count said to Renfield before he left for the door.

5 seconds later

"Master! Master!" Renfield hurried into the room.

"That was quick" muttered Vlad, starting to get worried

"Mistress Magda is here!"

The Count threw down his newspaper "Where is she now?"

"I don't know, one minute she was there then the next she zoomed straight into the school!"

"Well find her!" The Count ordered.

"I will search the bottom of the school" said Vlad and before the Count could protest Vlad had already zoomed out the throne room down the lowest part of the school where the blood mirror was kept.

It was easier than Magda thought. She didn't know why the Count relied on that breather. Honestly how can he be the great powerful Count Dracula yet he puts so much trust on that stinky human, surly he could find better.

'Now where did they but the blood mirror this time?' Magda thought, she had only visited the Dracula's once since they came to Garside but was too busy to check what secrets it could hold. But enough about that now find that mirror. She knew they were more likely to hide their blood mirror under the school, that is where she swore she was, but this is nothing like the past castles the Count had lived in. Every room she tried was too small and cluttered or just full of junk.

'I wonder if there's another floor down,' She thought 'ah' she came to the last door which lead to a dark, dusty hallway with a another door at the end. 'This must be it' wasting no time she zoomed to the door and opened it. Surprise, surprise the blood mirror was there.

Magda strolled up to the mirror, hand out stretched. Finally the Dracula power was hers!

But why was nothing happing?

Magda looked at her hand in confusion and tried again but still nothing.

"It's not going to work mum," said a voice behind the mirror and a young, darkly dressed but quite short vampire came out behind the mirror.

"Vladdy," Magda put on her calm and collected face "What are you doing here?"

"What are you doing here?"

"Oh, just trying to steal the Dracula power."

"You can't, you are not a part of this family anymore."

"Then time for plan B" Magda reached into her big red bag to produce a hammer.

"You wouldn't dare" Vlad shook his head and stepped in front of the mirror, would his mum seriously destroy his family?

"Oh you may be the Chosen One Vladdy," his mother smirked "but I'm still your mother, now out the way."

"No." Vlad smirked too, putting Magda's smirk to shame, it must of worked because Magda bared her fangs and zoomed past Vlad but Vlad was expecting it, he grasped the hammer out from Magda's hand and hurled it to the other side of the room. Magda screamed in rage and the two vampires were caught in a tousle. Somehow Magda ended up with her back to the mirror, Vlad too angry to notice pushed her straight into the mirror she was gone!

Magda, like most of the other past characters stumbled into the gothic like room and landed on a heap on the floor. She hastily scrabbled herself up looking around the room hoping no one saw her just then.

"Well isn't this just splendid," Magda admired the black leather sofas, the ridiculously clean floor boards, and black wall paper it look so brand new like it had only been done a few hours ago.

She seemed to be the only one here, and even though Magda was impressed by the decor of this room she couldn't help but think as this as some kind of prison. Did Vlad do this? To punish her? Was he going to keep her in this room forever because was too much of coward to slay his mother? She couldn't help but feel the anger bubble inside of her chest. She had been made a fool of and not for the first time either. Vlad always out smarting her it was humiliating! But while she was here she might as well make herself comfortable and plan her revenge, ahh and they even left some vintage blood for her how nice…

Magda had just settled down with a goblet of the blood in her hand when the wall opposite her opened up and a vampiress who was almost as petty as her stumbled in. Magda was waiting for her to tumble to the floor like she did but it didn't happen. She stayed up straight, she pushed her black hair out of her face that looked very much like Magda's ; her pale skin, ruby red lips, dark eyes and they even had the same nose.

The two Magdas' took all this in then there was outrage.

"How dare you impersonate me!" The younger Magda snarled "I should skin you alive and turn you into shoes!"

"I impersonate you!" The future Magda looked down at her younger version in disgust, they didn't seem to get that they were the same person. "oh please that outfit is so five years ago."

"Well that dress design is so 60's."

"60s!" The older Magda gasped "How dare you little tart."

"Thank you darling," the younger Magda smiled.

"You're welcome," The older Magda was beginning to like this women in front of her, "would you like to join me with a goblet of this vintage blood"

"I wouldn't mind if I do," the younger Magda sat herself on the other sofa while the older poured her goblet.

"So," The older said "who paid you to impersonate me?"

"I don't need to impersonate anyone," the younger Magda said before taking the goblet from her older self, "I am my own women and after all you don't look like a impersonator you look far too perfect. "

"Maybe that's because I am the real Magda," the older one said rolling her eyes, "there can't be two of us."

"Well somehow there is."

The Magda's were surprisingly taking their situation quite well compared to the last bunch of characters. Having a look alike could be an advantage.

"How did we get here anyway and most importantly how do we get out?" the younger Magda asked.

"I don't know," The older looked around the room "I see no doors, I bet this was our son's doing"

"Vladdy? No doubt," the younger said, "when I get out of here he will be in big trouble."

"I think that could be impossible you see he is the…" But the words 'Chosen One' wouldn't come out of her mouth.

"He is the what?" the young Magda asked, she had never known herself to struggle with words. This was a first

"He is the…" But the words still didn't come out. The older Magda in frustration bashed her fists against the glass table spilling her goblet of blood all over it, it was a wonder the table didn't crack. Though the blood was all over the table there were words that wouldn't let themselves be hidden and they glowed golden.

'The present Dracula's can't discuss mega events that will happen in the future to their past self's or this would ruin time vortex and the story line this is the same with every rule.'

"Rule's!" snarled the older Magda "If only Vlad never taken that hammer off me I would smash this table to pieces."

"I know," the younger Magda rose of her sofa, "we need to get out of here."

"Agreed," The older Magda straightened herself up and called in her clearest voice "Ok, whoever brought us in here we are ready leave now, thank you.

Nothing happened.

"Didn't you hear us?" The younger Magda snapped, "I swear if you don't let us go in ten seconds I will have Patrick and is lawyers see to you."

"Seriously is that the best you can," The older woman scowled at the younger, "we don't need men for this."

"I was trying to sound threatening."

"What are you going to do?" The older Magda had her hands on her hips and glared at the younger Magda, "call Patricks lawyers and pay them to get us out of a mirror?"

"At least I'm trying, what are you going to do?"

Neither of the Magdas' had an answer. They were good at manipulating people but when it came to breaking out of a prison they were useless.

"Wait," The younger one said "how do you know it's a mirror?"

"What are you talking about?"

"You said, get us out of a mirror, how do you know that, when you said a few minutes ago you weren't sure?"

"Well I don't how we got into the mirror so…." The older Magda was interrupted

"I went through a mirror too, the Dracula blood mirror why didn't you tell me?"

"Why didn't you tell me!"

"I won't argue about this," the two Magdas' glared at each other baring their long pointy teeth, just then the gong sounded (Finally) The walls opened up on both sides waiting for the two Magda's to go though.

"Thank bats," The older Magda sighed in relief "Well bye darling."

The younger also breathed a sigh of relief "And good riddance" and like that she zoomed out to her own timeline and the older did the very same thing with revenge on her mind.
