"Mikage's words were always said straight from his heart, always honest and fair."

Teito's tears began to stream harder down his face. 'Mikage was my light.'

Frau looked one more time at Teito before he left the room, he would go check on the boy tomorrow before breakfast.

As soon as I heard what happened to Teito I knew it was not his fault. He wasn't the person to attack someone without a good reason. He didn't even fight back when he was pushed around by all the guys from class. He would just stand there and take whatever they threw at him. It was me who got fed up with it and threw the first punch yelling at him to say something too. I didn't know who he was back then, but I felt like I needed to protect him however I could.

After that he slowly opened up to me and began to speak to me. We became friends. But not before I practically had to throw away the only things he ate, stupid vitamins, and tell the kitchen lady to make him some normal food. I made sure I was there every lunch so I knew he ate the normal stuff, though he declined to eat Yakisoba. I really don't know why, it's the best food out there, but well as long as he ate I promised I wouldn't complain.

Now I had heard that my best friend was put into the cellblocks with the prisoners because he was suspected of treason against the leader of the Black Hawks and had presumable attacked him. I knew I had to find him and help him with whatever I could help with. The tricky part was finding out in which block he was put and getting there without being noticed.

I decided to trail some of the military staff that had taken his stuff from our shared room and would listen to whatever they could tell me about his location. After what seemed to be an eternity knowing that Teito was all alone, I found out he was in cellblock A. I sweatdropped, I knew that Teito was good, damn he was perfect in every aspect of being a military guy excelling in fighting and zaiphon use. Never had I thought he would be put in the most heavily secured cellblock we had. It was guarded by at least twenty heavily armed soldiers not to mention the five special trained guard of the black hawks. It would be hard breaking Teito out of that, but I knew I had to try.

As soon as night began to fall on them I sneaked to the cellblocks hiding in the shadows as I had seen Teito do. Teito always sneaked out at night before he came back later covered in wounds and blood that couldn't possibly be his own. I came from the back, entering near cellblocks D and E slowly making my way to cellblock A.

I stopped dead in my tracks at the sight before me. When I neared the cell where Teito was supposed to be imprisoned. I was shocked. The floor and walls were covered in specks of blood, bodies lay limb resting against the wall and in the midst of them all was Teito, I suspected in the same blood as was seen all around.

"T-Teito?" I carefully asked. I had never seen him like this. His whole body screamed fifth to killing. He slowly turned around, showing eyes I had never seen before, they were red where I would have sworn they had been green. Was this really the Teito that I knew? But as soon as I had thought that they turned back green and his whole composure turned less frightening. He looked at me and his look changed from that of having to kill to having to protect.

"M-Mikage, you can't be here. You have to go back to our room. If they find you here they will charge you with the same verdicts they charged me. They were right to charge me, I do not belong here." Teito said alarmed by my presence.

"What are you saying Teito. We made a promise remember. And I know you did…" I looked around before I looked back up at him trying to sound reassuring, "… this with a good reason. We have to ga away from here. We will figure things out as soon as we are away from this place." I ran to him and grabbed his hand, only to notice it was cuffed. How did he beat all these soldiers with his hands cuffed no less, but I had no time to think about it, we had to get out as soon as possible. The only thing I cared for was to get him out safe, the rest would matter later.

We ran to the exit of the cellblocks, not caring if there were any more guards, which I doubted seeing how Teito had managed to put them down. The door at the end of the staircase, we had been climbing, showed the backyard of the academy. A couple of Hawkziles where stationed there, probably owned by the Black hawks who had come to oversee the tests which were held this week for graduation.

We managed to jump on the nearest Hawkzile and escape, or so we thought. Teito had jump in front at the steering of the machine and I came to sit behind him, protecting his back from possible attacks I was sure would come. Teito steered into the sky and quickly set course to the nearest district we could hide. We hadn't yet learned how to handle a hawkzile, but Teito being Teito it took him only a couple of seconds to figure it out and excel in it.

I could hear the commotion on the ground over the loud growls of our hawkzile. Daring to looking back I saw my two least favorite persons since I had heard what they had done to Teito. Ayanami, leader of the Black hawks, and his lieutenant Hyuuga were standing on a balcony light by the light from the room connected to it. Hyuuga seemed to be saying something to Ayanami, the movement made cold shivers run down my back. I knew something bad was going to happen. We weren't safe just yet.

I leaned against Teito, yelling in his ears, hoping he would hear me over the roar of the hawkzile. "I'll always be your friend. I'll protect you no matter what."

Teito looked back at me with a questioning look in his eyes. I was not sure if it was because he was questioning what I just said, or the meaning behind it, but I had no time to ask him. I could feel the zaiphon as it was coming our way, the look in Teito's eyes changed. What I saw in his eyes surprised me. I had never seen this look in my friends eyes. It was a look that was terrifying me more than what I knew was to come. It was a look of pain, sadness, despair, but most of all the knowledge of what the result would be.

I didn't want Teito to feel this way so I did the only thing I could think of. I smiled at him with the most reassuring smile I could and trust my fist forward like we did the night after we heard we passed the physical test at the Academy. At that moment we promised to always protect each other or die together. A shaking fist met mine the moment we were hit. I could feel the zaiphon ripping at my back as the mere impact of it made the hawkzile uncontrollable.

Teito quickly put a protective zaiphon barrier around us both but was to late to protect us completely from the second attack. The impact made Teito hit is head on the steering and had me crash into Teito even more. With a groan he managed to push himself upright again, pushing me upright too somewhat, but the damaged done to my back prevented me staying upright. I couldn't stop myself from falling backward, from falling off the hawkzile, leaving Teito's back unprotected.

The moment I fell off the machine Teito twisted to try and catch me, but was too late. I saw him grabbing the steering, but it was useless. The machine on the animal was too badly damaged to take control and the dragon itself was to stressed to think logically.

Another attack hit Teito through the barrier he was still trying to keep up, but it was too weak to protect him. The blast threw me farther away from both him and the hawkzile. I could see the pain in Teito's eyes just as he noticed that he could not safe me from falling to the ground.

I looked down and saw the ground coming closer and closer. I didn't want to see myself fall to my death so I looked back up at Teito in the hope that he at least would manage to take control over the hawkzile and fly off to somewhere safe. A hand from Teito was still reaching for me even though he knew it was impossible. I saw his mouth move in a yell towards me, but I could not understand the words. The wind that rushed passed me was too loud. I cursed at the wind for being so loud. I needed to know what Teito was saying, it might as well be the last thing he would ever be able to say to me.

The next blast of zaiphon just past my ear and was directed at the belly of the dragon. I saw the blast hit target while Teito was about to climb off of the hawkzile, probably to get to me. I know I shouldn't, but I was glad that the blast hit the Hawkzile preventing Teito to jump off. Instead it made the Hawkzile crash into his chest knocking the air out of him and knocking him unconscious.

I tried to predict the course the Hawkzile would take from there on to see where it would possibly land. I looked on ahead and saw that he would most likely crash somewhere down in the seventh district. That would be good, seventh district was known as a district that didn't listen to the commands of the military. It would listen to the voice of god. They would give protection to whoever asked for it.

For the first time in my life I prayed to a god I did not know to exist, but for now I would believe with all my heart. I prayed for Teito to survive. To be safe. To find his purpose in life. To find happiness.

I wondered how long I still had until I would meet the ground, but I did not dare to look down to make sure. I was surprised how clear everything seemed to be. I could hear every gust of wind, every heartbeat within me, the rustling of my hair next to my ears. I could see every little detail of Barsburg military academy, I could see the look of enragements on Ayanami's face and the stoic look of his lieutenant.

A lot of military people had gathered under the balcony and all the Black hawks had gathered around their leader. There were no longer attacks thrown to either myself or Teito, though I could not tell why they had stopped, I was grateful for it nevertheless.

The last thing I saw clear was the smirk on Hyuuga's face before he turned around to face the rest of the Hawks to presumably give them orders he just had received from Ayanami himself, before I was swallowed by a mess of green. Branches were breaking against my back, leaves were following my fall making it obvious I had fallen in the woods between district 1 and district 7.

The branches kept increasing their size, succeeding in lessening my speed with which I came down, though painfully so. I was now more tumbling down then really falling and figured I was about to hit the ground soon. But it was not ground I met, but water. I didn't have the time to notice if it was deep or not, because as soon as I hit it I felt the clearness, I had not so long ago, fade away just as quickly. My vision grew darker and darker, before I lost sight of everything. The last thing that crossed my mind was a silent hope that Teito may have survived.

Ayanami could see the smoke trail from the damaged hawkzile leading to the seventh district even when daylight was almost faded completely. He was agitated that the had not been able to bring the machine down, before it crossed borders with the other district, but was sure his subordinates would be able to retrieve the boy when he would give the order to do so. Then there was the question about the other boy. Hyuuga had told him that he was called Mikage. He knew he had to question the boy, so he had to bring him back too. He hated the fact that he had to act. He had underestimated the boy named Teito.

"Aya-tan, what are your orders." Hyuuga asked with a big smile on his face.

Ayanami really hated the attitude of his lieutenant, and he loaded that sunglasses permanently glued to his face. He could not tell if his goofy behavior was just an act to annoy the hell out of him, or if it was his true personality. If Ayanami could have he would have killed the man many times over, if he hadn't been his best subordinate and always getting the job he was given done. Sighing for getting so work up over the man again he gave his orders.

"Let Kuroyuri and his begleiter retrieve the boy that has fallen down into the woods to make sure he is still alive. If so they have to bring him back for questioning in the black hawks' quarters. Ask the old man if we can use his begleiter for the moment and let him together with Katsuragi and Konatsu retrieve Teito Klein from district seven. They have to do this without being noticed and as soon as possible. If the Church notices we have been in district seven without the proper regulations the old man is going to be a bother."

"Aya-tan," Hyuuga put on a whiny voice, "do I really have to send my own begleiter. I rather have him close to me~"

A vein was seen as Ayanami finally allowed himself to look upon Hyuuga, sending a shiver down the man's back. "Now Hyuuga." he said without raising his voice.

"Okaay, Aya~tan." Hyuuga all but skipped away to the rest of the Black Hawks a little farther away while having his trademark smile on his face.

Hyuuga quickly relayed the orders to Katsuragi and Konatsu. Katsuragi was a tall man with no real distinguishable features except the small mole on the side of his mouth. Konatsu bears some resemblance to the oak family with his blond hair, but is in no way related. They both told their acceptance and went in search of Karu, begleiter of Miroku-sama.

Walking over to Kuroyuri to give the pink haired youngest member of the black hawks their orders, he found that the child had again chosen to sleep in the arms of its begleiter Haruse. Haruse was a tall man rivaling Hyuuga's own height.

Haruse looked up from his master in his arms when he noticed that Hyuuga was coming for them. Being accustomed to his master to be asleep whenever he was actually needed he just took the orders they received for him, not even thinking about waking his master up for it. Haruse turned as soon as he accepted the order too.

Hyuuga turned around to his leader and contemplated if he should work a little more on the man's nerves but decided it may not be the best time to test his luck. He quietly made his leave, letting Ayanami alone with his thoughts. He would find some poor soldiers to practice his swordsmanship with his favorited katana's, or rather demonstrate them how it was to loose.

Ayanami felt all his subordinates leave, but didn't react on it. He was lost in his thoughts about this Teito Klein. The moment he had seen the boy fighting his attention was drawn to him. When he saw the boy hesitate killing the inmate when he was ordered to, just because the boy had not seen the necessary for it, it had pissed him off more then it should have. Teito had something that was familiar for him, but he could not tell what it was. When the boy had decided to attack him he was surprised at first at the bold actions the boy took even though not two hours ago he had refused to kill.

Reaching inside his uniform to get the necklace he had received from Miroku just before Teito had burst in he looked at it again. Teito had been fixated at this necklace the whole time he had been caught by Hyuuga. Ayanami wondered if this necklace was the case for why Teito had attempted to get to him. He put the necklace back inside his uniform and started to walk in the room attached to the balcony. He would await his subordinates before he would make conclusions of his own.

Karu felt two people making their way towards them. He had lost his eyesight a long time before in a fight with a friend. Since that time he had covered his eyes with bandages and had trained his other senses to make up for the loss. He was now the begleiter for miroku-sama for a couple of years. He was in charge of training Miroku's sklaves and making sure that Miroku-sama stayed safe wherever the man went.

There was a knock on Miroku's office door and the man answered as soon as he heard it.

Karu felt a shiver as soon as the door was opened, alerting him of possible danger. He instantly knew who these two were. They were from the Black Hawks, with one being worse than the other. The larger of the two had been this friend a long time ago, but fate had led them to being some sort of enemies. So far Karu had managed to hide who he really was, seeing his 'friend' thought he was death, but he knew him. This man, Katsuragi as he was called now, was the reason why he had worked his was up to be the begleiter of the man before him. The smaller one was recognized as the begleiter of that bothersome lieutenant of the leader of the Black Hawks, Konatsu.

"Why do I have the pleasure of the two of you entering my office?" Miroku asked the Black Hawks in front of him.

Seeing that Katsuragi was higher in rank he automatically took it upon himself to respond. "We are sent by our staff officer to ask for your permission to let your begleiter help us in the retrieval of a prisoner who has managed to escape mere minutes before."

"Who is this prisoner you are talking about?" Miroku asked but could already answer the question himself. There was only one prisoner who had been able to escape his imprisonment if he wanted to, and he was responsible for it. He had seen to the training the boy had received, he had made sure the boy was capable of unbelievable things to be done. The sklave had been his triumph card when normal sklaves failed.

"Teito Klein"

Miroku's fears were made reality. He could feel Karu stiffen behind him. His begleiter had had a huge hand in the training of the boy, one could say he was the one who made the boy in who he had become. Miroku gave a small nod, telling both the Black Hawks and the man behind him that he was willing to let Karu join them. It was in his best interest if Teito was brought back as soon as possible. The boy could not be left alone wandering to wherever he wanted. The boy was too dangerous. He had to be constantly watched to make sure he did not go against his master and the military. The boy was a ticking time bomb like all battle sklaves were.

Karu walked pasted his masters desk, again making the man wonder how he could have known what his masters answered without having been able to see it.

Kuroyuri stirred in the arms of Haruse. Noticing they were moving Kuroyuri looked up at his begleiter. "Haruse, where…"

"Orders from Ayanami-sama. We are to retrieve an academy student after he has fallen down into the woods between district 1 and 7. If he managed to stay alive we have to bring him in for questioning in the Black Hawks quarters." Haruse hadn't looked down as he had made his way to their hawkziles. He placed Kuroyuri on his hawkzile before he walked to his own. Together they took of to where the boy had dropped from the sky.

It was obvious where he had fallen down, having left an easy trail of broken branches. Kuroyuri and Haruse could easily steer their hawkzile down the path and land safely on the ground to start their search for the boy. He could not have gone far after he had been hurt and the short amount of time it took them to get where they were now.

Kuroyuri stepped from his hawkzile first only to yell in shock when his feet were instantly drenched by the water that he had stepped in. Haruse was at his side the moment he had yelled to pick the child up and carry him so he would not get wet any more.

Having his begleiter pick him up most of the time had become such a habit that he didn't complain about it and just let it be. Kuroyuri scanned the ground in search for some clues that could tell them where the boy had gone to. Spotting a few blood specks at the side he pointed it out to Haruse to make him follow it.

Slowly my senses were coming back. The pain in my back was unbearable but I knew I had to find my way to Teito. I slowly rose to my feet and looked at my damaged clothing. Noticing that I was not fully drenched yet made me believe I hadn't been here for long. I still had a chance to get away from here without being caught.

I knew that as soon as Hyuuga had turned away from Ayanami that he had gotten orders to not only have men send after Teito but also after myself. I put the first step in front of me. It hurt like crazy, but not enough to stop me from going on. Every step that I took was a battle with myself to just quit and give up. I managed to stagger further and further and was grateful for the trees that would help me to stay upright.

After what seemed like hours in my mind but only was around half an hour I heard hawkziles in the distance. I knew they would come for me and that they probably would see the trail leading to my landing spot and that it would be all to clear to them. I tried to fasten my slow space but found my legs disapproving with the idea. As soon as I tried they started to shake and give out on me.

I heard a yell and could see a pink glow in the distance behind me. 'Shit, they are really close. They send kuroyuri and his begleiter after me. Of all the Black Hawks that could have been send after me they had to send them.' The only good thing now is that I am sure that the Black Hawks that went after Teito are less ruthless.

I look back one more time and see that they were already closing up on me. I hear Kuroyuri as Haruse points towards me. "There he is! This was far easier than what I suspected. Put me down somewhere dry please Haruse."

Watching as Kuroyuri is put down my legs give out on me completely and I am left kneeling against a tree waiting for them to reach me and take me back. I don't know what they will do to me but I bet it wont be a normal scolding and a suspension.

Haruse walks up to me and lifts me up at my armpits. I am to drained to even struggle against the whole thing. I look in his eyes and can see that it lacks all emotion. From the side of my view I can see Kuroyuri closing in to and a blackness is admitting from him. The air around us gets really cold before the blackness takes control over my vision. The last thing I notice is being thrown over Haruse's shoulder and the sniggering of Kuroyuri that fills my whole being.

Karu followed the two Black Hawks on the hawkziles before him. His thoughts are with Teito Klein just like the other two, but his reasons for it were because of a different matter.

He had been with Teito since he was born. The people closest to him knew him by a different name that time. That time they knew him as Ea, one of the seven ghosts. He worked closely with Vertrag and Landkarte. Vertrag was like a mentor while Landkarte was his best and possibly only friend. Ea was know for his ability to find the souls and transfer them into other bodies when needed to. Vertrag could somewhat control a soul, making it do whatever he wanted them to do in certain situations and Landkarte was able to locate the souls and transfer them to other places if needed. They all worked together to have the good souls stay good and tried to help the souls who made contracts with Kors or exterminate them.

But everything changed after the Barsburg Empire made their move. Ea and Landkarte had a fight that left him more dead then alive and for most people he was. Only Vertrag knew he was still alive and that he had only lost his eyesight completely. Vertrag had helped him to hide from the rest of the ghost to allow him to heal before rejoining them. Only those plans were never able to be completed. The Raggs kingdom was soon destroyed and Vertrag was killed, but not before he was able to contact him with a request for help.

Ea was told to lay low for a while and recover some more while slowly gathering information about the reasons for the war. He was told that as soon he was able to, to go infiltrate the Barsburg military and work up to a position high enough to keep an eye on Teito, formally known as Tiashe.

It took a couple of years to be able to move around like he still had sight and another year to make it to Miroku's begleiter. There he learned that Teito had already been taken in by Miroku and made into a sklave. As soon as he was met with this Teito he was ordered to make Teito into the best battle sklave.

The boy was already scarred not only physical but also mentally. It saddened him that he had to harm the boy even more. He had heard from Vertrag that Teito was forced to hold Pandora's box by the Queen. He also knew that Teito was entrusted with the Eye of Mikhail and that Vertrag had locked his memories for a time when it was safe for the boy to know who he really was.

Karu, as he told Teito, was there to train him to be the best battle sklave, to be able to protect his master and do the jobs that were required of him. It had been a harsh training that had left Teito more dead than alive every night that Karu brought him back to his room. Karu had felt guilty every morning when he had woken up the boy the next morning for another day of training.

After half a year Teito was already recognized as one of the better battle sklaves by the training Karu made him go through. Sadly it would not be enough for what the future held for Teito, so Karu had to push the boy even harder. Thats when the Eye made his first appearance before Karu.

"Ea, you are pushing my master too far right now. You can not expect him to kill children. He will not be mentally able to stay stable after it. If you let him go through this I will not only kill them for him, so he does not have to go through this himself, but I will also kill you after I am done."

Karu was shocked to see the eyes of the boy, but was even more shocked when he heard the voice that came out of the boys mouth. He knew that Mikhail was inside the boy but he had never suspected that Mikhail was able to take full control over the boy's body. So far only Krom, Teito's father, had been able to speak with the Angel let alone use his powers, but never had the Angel spoken trough the late king of Raggs. "I am sorry Mikhail-sama, but this is necessary for Teito to be able to grow even more and able to withstand whatever will come his way in the future. He is the only hope for Raggs right now. He needs to be strong and he needs to be able to handle everything that comes along. I know this is unfair to ask of a kid this age, but our hands are tied here."

The face before him got a thoughtful expression as the Angel considered what had just been said. "I don't like this at all. I dislike even more that you seem to be right, but I have made a conclusion. You will keep watch over my master and you will keep training him, but whenever I deem it too harsh for master to live through I will take over and make master retreat inside so he will not be harmed. I will do the job he is given and shoulder the burdens for him. You will not speak of me to either Miroku or master himself."

Mikhail leaped forward and killed the children and the parents Teito was ordered to kill in seconds. After he was done he walked back to Karu and stood in front of him and spoke for the last time. "You will never see me again nor will I be noticed when I take over. After every time I have to take control I will have to make master pass out duo the strain it will have on his body. I want you to be there to take care of him and bring him back to the place he is allowed to rest."

Karu watched as red eyes turned green again before his eyes rolled back in his head and he started to decent to the ground. Jumping forward to catch the boy he pulled him to his chest. "I am sorry Teito, I promised your father and Vertrag that I would protect you. I can only hope that I have enough time to prepare you before you have to leave me and find your own path in life."

After that night Karu had brought Teito back to his room multiple times knowing that Mikhail had done exactly what he had said he would do. He sometimes saw a last glimpse of the red eyes, but never did Mikhail spoke to him again.

That was until Miroku send Teito to the military academy. Karu was hardly ever able to help Teito or even be around the boy other then when he hid in the shadows. Teito always seems to notice him being around, but having been his trainee for so long he ignored it, knowing that his trainer had a reason to be around.

By that time Hyuuga had taken over to bring Teito back to his room whenever he passed out, but Karu always managed to be there to see if the boy slept soundly, or as soundly as a kid could after killing so many people. He was happy to see how the boy Mikage always seems to crawl in besides Teito to make sure that the boy was ok.

Karu got called back to the present by a sharp pain in his head.'Ea, I know you are on a trail to get to my master but you have to lead them on a fake trail somehow. I can feel that Zehel, Fest and Profe are on their way to here too. They will find my master and take him to the church where he will be able to recover from this night events and hopefully I will be able to slowly make the memories that Vertrag locked come back to him without straining him to much. But for this all to be possible I need a little time for the other three to make their way here.'

'What Mikhail-sama?!'

'Of course its me. Do what I asked you, quickly before they can see master.'

'Yeah, yeah sure.'Karu thought to Mikhail while trying his best to think of a way to mislead his two companions. 'Think, think how am I to mislead them. HOW!'

Karu quickly scanned the grounds below him. He couldn't really find something that could help him. He mentally closed his eyes to what had happened until now. They know about the crash inside district seven, they know were he has landed somewhat, they know he has crashed with a hawkzile. What in this all could be of any use to help Mikhail and with that Teito. 'The smoke trail that the hawkzile should have left is not seen. Could he use it to his advantage?'

"Konatsu, Katsuragi! There is a smoke trail over there!" Karu pointed to the left, knowing that Teito was on the right.

Katsuragi turned around to look at Karu. "Yeah like you could see it with your eyes covered in bandages! Besides that, I don't see a thing."

'Shit, I didn't think about that. I am so used to knowing what is around me that I forget that I cant really see. What now?' Karu bit his lip for a second before he thought of an idea. "I know that I can's see it, but I can smell the smoke. Its really faint but it is there. You may not be able to see it, but smell stays around much longer."

"Katsuragi I think he is right. I think I smelled something too, but I couldn't tell where it came from."

'Oh thank kami that the kid isn't the smartest boy in the fields.' Karu thought as a little smirk crawled his way to his face. "Yeah, because my eyesight is gone, my other senses got heightened."

All three turned to the left and followed Karu as he made his way pretending to follow a non existing trail. "Thank you Ea, the other three have found master now and are taking him to the church. They did not notice your presence so you too are safe for now. Be sure to make your way to our side in duo time too." Karu shook his head as Mikhail's presence left his mind again. He smiled knowing he was able to help Teito again. He would make sure they would not find Teito and when Teito was safe he would lead them to the crashed hawkzile. He didn't care what Ayanami would say when they would return. Teito was saved for now and thats all he cared about.

A splash of water thrown in my face woke me up. I noticed that my hands were bound behind my back and that I was seated in a hard chair. I looked around to see where I was but all I could see was one man in front of me. A shiver ran down my back from the sight of this man.

"Where is Teito Klein? What do you know about him?"

"I don't know where he is. He is free. He is my friend, thats all I know." The look I received from Ayanami was blood stilling.

"Why did you break him out of the cellblocks? Why did you help him escape?"

"I don't know. I had to!"

"What do you mean, you had to?" Ayanami's voice slowly raised in volume as he stepped closer and closer to me.

"Teito didn't do anything. He was innocent. Teito wouldn't do anything that would deserve being sent to the blocks. He is my friend I have to do whatever I can think of to make sure he is safe."

"Teito Klein attacked me boy. He tried to kill me. Do you still think he is innocent?" Ayanami practically yelled.

"Of course. I have to believe he did it with a reason. You must have done something to him to make him attack you. He would never even lift a finger to his classmates when they pushed him around, he wouldn't attack you without a good reason. He.." I was silence when Ayanami's fist connected with my stomach.

I coughed and spit out some blood. Hyuuga rushed in and pulled Ayanami back. "Aya-tan please don't use your own hands to punish this filth. Let me punish him for you." I looked up in the reflecting sunglasses of Ayanami's lieutenant. Even though I couldn't see what his eyes were telling I knew it wasn't good as soon as I heard his katana being pulled out.

Hyuuga pointed the tip of his katana in front of my view. He looked at Ayanami and an evil smirk graced his features as he slowly let the katana decent down. I followed the movement afraid where the katana would land. I tried to move from the chair but found that my feet were also tied to that same chair I was seated on.

Ayanami turned away and seemed to get his composure back as his shoulders rightened themselves and his breathing calmed down. The katana reached my thigh and cut through my pants as soon as it touched it. I didn't want to know how sharp Hyuuga kept his toys, but I was sure I would be finding out real soon. The first cuts were made and I couldn't keep a groan from escaping my throat.

Hyuuga smirked even more evilly and I am sure I could see the glint from his eyes through that sunglasses of his. The cuts were getting deeper and deeper and I let unwillingly slip tears from my eyes as I tried to keep myself from screaming. "Let me go, I didn't do anything. Teito did nothing without a good reason. I have to check if he is still alive after you tried to kill us both. Let me go.." I growled out at the back that was facing me.

Ayanami turned around and I was instantly focussed on him, not even noticing the continuance of the katana, making me bleed even more. Ayanami had a look in his eyes that was not from this world.

A hand was put on Hyuuga's arm to stop his movements. Hyuuga looked up, but whatever he saw in the unworldly eyes was enough to make him step back from his previous entertainment.

"Thats right. You have to go check up on Teito. You have to see if your 'friend', who willingly took you with him while he knew he would have be attacked, and see if he is alright. But not before I can make sure you'll find him for me. We will drop you off near the edge of the forest facing the church. I know Teito will make his way there eventually if my subordinates fail to bring him in time." He turned to Hyuuga, giving me some time to breath again after I had held it in while Ayanami spoke.

"Hyuuga, make preparations to have this boy transferred to what I just said."

"But Aya-tan I was just enjo…"

"Hyuuga… now!"

"Certainly Aya-tan. Right away." Hyuuga quickly left the room, leaving me and Ayanami alone.

"Now boy, I will make certain you will obey me when you go look for your 'friend'. Sit still this will only hurt … much." A purple glow could be seen in Ayanami's eyes as his hand reached for my head. I tried to get away from it but I could not move an inch. The last thing I knew before I passed out was the searing pain in my head and the quickly growing sore feeling in my throat, possibly from yelling.

I stood at the edge of the forest facing the church. I had seen glimpses of Teito and a tall man with blond hair in the main gate. I had to find some courage to go see Teito, knowing what I would bring to him. I didn't know the full extend of what Ayanami had done to me, but I knew I wasn't completely like myself. Whatever Ayanami had done to me would be dangerous for Teito, but at the same time I needed to see if he was alright. I needed to be sure he would live a life happily away from the military.

I slowly made my way to the main gate. I was still doubting my choice to go but the decision to see if Teito was truly alright was stronger than anything else I was trying to tell myself.

I was about to step onto church grounds when I was met with the blond tall man and two others. He was even taller than what I had suspected when I had seen the glimpses of him. The other two I had not seen before, but they seemed to all radiate the same feeling. If I did cross the last line that withheld me from entering the church they would stop me at whatever cost it may be.

I heard footsteps coming closer and closer and the men before me looked behind them. The blond looked with a look that held more sadness than what I have ever seen a guy carry.

"Y-Your alive?" Teito stumbled two steps before he tried to run past the tall man towards me. I wanted to tell him to stop, that he was saver behind the tall man, but my thought never reached my voice. I was to shocked to see him doing so well.

All three men twitched a little when they heard the shaken voice of the boy. The tallest man seemed to know Teito pretty well and could anticipate quick enough to catch him in his run before he could reach me. "No kid, he isn't who you think he is. There is something different about him. You shouldn't go to him." I heard the man whisper to him

Teito trashed in his hold. "Let me go. Let me go." he screamed, making his voice break. "I have to go to Mikage, Let me go. MIKAGEEEE…" he tried to get out of the man's hold while trying to reach me.

"T-Teito, is that you? Is that really you?" I asked. "I have finally found you, after all this searching have I finally found you." I fell down on my knees, tears streaming down my cheeks. I knew that wasn't the complete truth. I was practically dropped of in front of the church as soon as Katsuragi, Konatsu and Karu came back empty handed, but I was not ready to tell him the truth."I'm so sorry, so sorry." Were the last words I could say before consciousness left me again. The cuts on my leg had been opened on my way here and made me loose to much blood to stay awake any longer.
