Episode 1: Turnabout Lovers

Part 2-1: Trial

April 29th

Court Room Lobby No. 3

10:30 AM

Cyrus: (Stuff still doesn't make sense... The autopsy report... The necklace that could be useless... and the Suspect's location... That's the most confusing thing... One more read...)

Reason of Death:

Karson Mel: Gunshot from the left into the temple.

Cindy Mel: Gunshot from the upper left (According to the way she is facing.) into the eye.

Time of Death:

Karson Mel: Unknown

Cindy Mel: Unknown

Cyrus: (Unknown? Why is it like this... Jeez! Where is-)

Chili: Hello Cyrus...

Cyrus: Huh? Oh there you are! Do you know why the time of death is unknown?

Chili: The tools we use to examine it weren't working...

Cyrus: I see... (That sucks...) Well, I'll need you to stay strong to get up to the witness stand.

Chili: Yeah...

Kay: Hey Cyrus!

Cyrus: Hey Kay. What are you doing here?

Kay: I came here to accompany you here!

Chili: I don't really think the suspect we got did it...

Cyrus: (Me too. But you never know what's going to happen.) Let's go.

April 29th

Court Room No. 3

11:00 AM

Judge: Court is now in session! Is the prosecution ready?

Kay (Whispering): When aren't we?

Cyrus: (She has a good point...) Ready.

Judge: Is the defense ready?

Alpha:...You got it!

Judge: Mr. Justin, your opening statement...?

Cyrus: Huh? Uh... Sure. Rob Kike murdered Karson Mel and Cindy Mel, and I'm going to prove it!

Judge: You seem pretty happy today, Mr. Justin.

Cyrus: (Yet, it's just a mask. How funny.) I'd like to call the detective on the case to the witness stand.

Chili:...Hello.

Cyrus: (She seems a little shaken up... Stage fright?) Name and Occupation please.

Chili: The name is Chili Frez... And I'm a detective at the local precinct...

Cyrus: I would like you to testify on how we think the murder went. Capeesh?

Chili: Capeesh.

Witness Testimony: The Crime

The killer was on one side of the lake.

The victims were on the other side.

The killer had his gun... And shot from across the lake!

Cyrus: Hmph. Okay Alpha, Cross-Examine that.

Alpha: I will!

Kay (Whispering): What are you making him do?

Cyrus (Whispering): I think whatever he'll say, I can disprove. Might as well pull out all of my cards now.

Kay (Whispering): Alright. But if you mess up, then it's a smack to the face to you!

Cyrus: (When did she get so hostile?!)

Cross-Examination: The Crime

The killer was on one side of the lake.

The victims were on the other side.

The killer had his gun... And shot from across the lake!

Alpha: Objection! Did you take a look at the crime scene?

Chili: Huh? What do you mean?

Alpha: The blood was in a position that the gunshot would have come from the side of the victim!

Chili: W-What...?

Alpha: You are the worst detective I've ever seen-

Cyrus: Objection! That is opinion! Not fact!

Alpha: But you know it's true!

Cyrus: Objection! Again, that's just opinion!

Judge: Order! Order in the court! Now, I will give the defense a warning. Another outburst like that and I will give them a penalty. Now, please elaborate on your point.

Alpha:...Right, your honor. Take a look at this picture. It shows that the blood is in a position so that the victims were shot from the side.

Judge: Oh! I see it!

Cyrus: Wait, can you say that again?

Alpha: Huh? Uh... Sure.

Defense's Argument: Position of Blood

The defendant couldn't have shot them...

The blood is in a position that they would have been shot from the side...

You see? This obviously shows that my client is innocent!

Cyrus:...Alright.

Alpha: Hm...?

Cyrus: I'm gonna disprove that. I have a rebuttal.

Judge: What is your rebuttal, Mr. Justin?

Prosecution's Rebuttal: Position of Blood

The defendant couldn't have shot them...

Cyrus: Hold it! Just because that's your theory, doesn't mean that it's true!

Alpha: Yes, but you can't deny that it's possible.

The blood is in a position that they would have been shot from the side...

You see? This obviously shows that my client is innocent!

Cyrus: Objection! Your Honor, does this get Robbie off the hook?

Judge:...No. It isn't decisive evidence.

Alpha: What?! That isn't fair!

Cyrus: Hmph...

Kay: What's wrong Cyrus?

Cyrus: Even though I was able to get my rebuttal out... Can you still slap me?

Kay: Huh? Oh, sure. "Smack!"

Cyrus: Agh! I... I didn't think you'd hit me so hard...

Kay: Expect the unexpected.

Cyrus: Doesn't that mean it'll be expected?

Kay:...Huh... Ack!

Cyrus: What?

Kay: Look! We're missing a piece of evidence!

Cyrus:...! (I must have left it at my office!) Kay, take out your phone, and hold my prosecutor's badge.

Kay: Huh? Oh, why take out my phone?

Cyrus: Hide it under the desk and call me...

Kay: Um... Okay?

Cyrus: When I pick up the phone disconnect, okay?

Kay: Got it!

"Ring!" "Ring!"

Cyrus: Hello?

"Click!"

Cyrus: What?! My... My child?!

Judge: Mr. Justin, what is going on?

Cyrus: Your honor! I need to get to Hickfield clinic!

Judge: Why?

Cyrus: My child is being born!

Judge: What?! Should we stop the trial?!

Cyrus: No! The girl right next to me is a prosecutor!

Kay:...!

Judge: Ma'am, let the courtroom see your prosecutor's badge.

Kay: Um... Here.

Judge: I see. We'll have a ten minute recess to let miss...?

Kay: Faraday. Kay Faraday.

Judge: We'll let Miss Faraday prepare for the trial, in the mean time, Mr. Justin, go to your family!

Cyrus: Yes sir!

Kay: (Did he just do that?)
