Damon's Love and Elena's Daughter: Chapter Five
Charlotte squirmed about, trying to brake from their hug. She knew that she could easily get free, but she didn't want to use any of her strength or skill she used during hunting.
"Put me down," Charlotte said, feeling her jumper and shirt beginning to rise and causing her to become increasingly worried about the large scar that was on her lower back being shown.
"Cousins," Eric said, running to them and pulling Charlotte from their grip and standing her firmly on the floor.
Charlotte fixed her shirt and jumper; she glanced at Eric and then looked away.
"What trouble are you three getting into?" Elena asked, walking down the stairs to the small group.
"Hello, Aunt Elena," The three boys greeted, Elena nodded in return greeting.
"How are you three doing?" Elena asked.
"Good, giving our father grief," The oldest of the three boys answered.
"How is the job going?" Elena questioned.
"Busy, I hardly ever get to see father or my two annoying brothers," The youngest answered, he was being sarcastic because he worked with his father and brothers.
"Morning," Stefan yawned, walking through into the living room.
"Morning Stefan," Elena greeted, looking over her shoulder to find Stefan only in his black dress pants low on his hips.
"Hello Stefan, I'm Samuel," The oldest of the three brother greeted.
"Hello, I'm Landon," The middle brother greeted.
"And I'm Issac...hi," The youngest brother said.
"Hello, Samuel, Landon and Issac," Stefan replied.
"We were hoping Charlotte and Eric would come out with us," Samuel told Elena.
"Where to?" Eric asked.
"It's a secret," The three brothers replied smirking.
"We just need to get out stuff," Charlotte said, heading up the stairs with Eric following close behind.
Charlotte quickly changed, throwing on a red t-shirt and jeans. Slipping on red flats, she grabbed her phone and purse before looking around the room for her backpack and bow. Pulling her phone from her pocket Charlotte pushed a button and then held the phone to her ear and waited for Damon to pick up.
Phone Call
Damon: Hello?
Charlotte: Where is my bow and backpack?
Damon: In my car...why?
Charlotte: Return it
Damon: Vampires don't like the sun, you might need to come over and get it
Charlotte: I can't, you have a sunlight ring and plus have to go out with my cousins
Damon: Where?
Charlotte: It better be here when I get back
End: Phone Call
"Charlotte, hurry up," Eric called, Charlotte headed out her room and back down to where her half-cousins were.
"Ready?" Issac asked.
"Yeah," Eric and Charlotte said.
The three brothers directed Charlotte and Eric from the house and towards their car. Eric was pushed into the passenger seat, Charlotte in the middle back seat with Issac and Landon either side of her, while Samuel drove the car. As they drove Samuel turned the radio up, they headed towards the hills. Charlotte watched out the window, trying to figure out where they were headed. She almost dropped her phone as it beeped twice alerting her of two messages, catching it in her hands Issac quickly snatched it out of her hands.
"Issac, pleas give it back," Charlotte said, trying to reach her phone.
"Why? Is it a text from your boyfriend?" Landon asked, grabbing hold of Charlotte's wrists to stop her from reaching her phone.
"Please, give it back," Charlotte said, watching as Issac entered a password into her phone and the phone complained about it being wrong.
"No, phones today…Eric hand yours over as well," Samuel said.
"Please, let me check my messages first," Charlotte said, setting her hands on her lap as Landon released her wrists and the three brothers thought about the request.
"No, we can check to make sure it isn't something important," Samuel suggested.
"No, never mind," Charlotte replied, sitting back in her seat and watching the front again.
"Okay, then," Issac replied, setting Charlotte's phone in the front pocket of the backpack.
It was a second later, that her phone begin to ring and Issac sighed in frustration and pulled the phone back out of the backpack and handed it to Charlotte. Charlotte answered the phone and held it up to her ear, about to talk when Damon's worried voice came through the phone, causing her to let out a small worried noise.
"Charlotte, your mum has been injured," Damon said, Charlotte's tears gathered in her eyes as she ordered for the car to stop.
As the car pulled to a stop at the side of the road; everyone climbed out of the car. Standing with her back to everyone else; Charlotte took a deep breath and tried to clear her mind as much as possible.
"How?" Charlotte asked, into the phone.
"Klaus, attacked her," Damon's voice said, through the phone.
Charlotte rested her weight on the car and began to think of every single way she could torture Klaus before she killed him.
"Charlotte, what's wrong?" Eric asked, resting his hand on his sister's shoulder.
"Mum, is hurt," Charlotte whispered to Eric.
