Bella:

She kissed me on the cheek, she kissed me on the cheek

Right in front of the older kids

When our self-belief, our self-belief

Wasn't scarred by the modern itch

"BELLA! I NEED SOME HELP!" Seth shouts just as the fire alarm goes off.

I glance over at Edward, who looks pretty confused, and mutter a quick apology before hurrying off to the kitchen. I'm hoping it's only something minor, like the jam tarts have burnt, and not that Seth has managed to set the kitchen on fire.

When I reach the kitchen, Seth opens the oven door sending smoke billowing out. He frantically fans it with a towel, which only serves to spread the smoke around faster. I roll my eyes at his attempts and go to help him, only to be stopped by someone pulling me back.

"You need to get outside, away from the smoke," Edward tells me, pulling me away from the kitchen.

"But-"

"Jacob's sorting it," he adds, opening the back door and making me sit down on the bench on the porch.

I wrap my arms around myself to keep warm, since I'm only wearing a thin t-shirt. I wasn't expecting to be going outside.

"Here," Edward says, handing me his jacket. I quickly snuggle into it and, although it's a little on the large size, it's so comfy. I'm not sure Edward will ever get it back.

"Thanks," I tell him as he sits down next to me.

The fire alarm finally stops, the kitchen window wide open with smoke pouring out. I have no idea how Seth managed it, and I'm certain Esme won't be too happy about it. Most of the kitchen was filled with smoke, which Seth will probably have to clean.

"Sorry," I murmur to Edward, pushing up the sleeves of his jacket so they don't cover my hands.

"What are you sorry about?" Edward asks, frowning.

"I didn't even think about going into the kitchen," I tell him, gently rubbing my stomach. "And I just ran off," I add, remembering that Edward was about to tell me what time the film was on.

Will he even still want to go with me?

"That's nothing to be sorry about. I'm sorry, too, if I was a bit forceful in the kitchen. I panicked," Edward admits, looking out across the garden.

"Why did you panic?" I ask, glancing over at him.

"I didn't want you to get hurt," he says, still not looking at me. "I guess I've made things even now. I make you need stitches but I saved you from smoke," he adds, grinning a little.

"Not quite even. I did lose the use of my left hand for a while," I remind him.

"Fair point. Maybe if I paid for popcorn at the cinema, that would even things out?" Edward suggests casually.

My heart skips a beat, overjoyed that he still wants to and see Thor with me. I try to tamper down my grin, but it doesn't really work. "Do I get to choose what type of popcorn?" I ask him, somehow managed not to squeal.

"Of course," Edward says, looking over at me.

"Sweet it is, then," I grin.

"Definitely sweet. You two are sickening," Rose says. I jump and glance up at her, having not realised she was out here. How long has she been listening in?

"How long have you been out here?" I ask her as she makes her way over to the bench, sitting down next to Edward. Dexter immediately starts reaching for Edward's hair, tugging on it playfully.

"Long enough," Rose says, glancing over at me.

"Ow!" Edward says, pouting just a little bit. I swear, Dexter just grins when Edward complains.

To help Edward out, I tickle Dexter and then place him on my lap, out of reach of Edward's hair. I bounce Dexter on my lap a few times, attempting to forget that Rose heard most of mine and Edward's conversation.

"Is that Edward's jacket?" Rose asks me. I stop mid bounce which makes Dexter's eyes water as he looks up at me.

"Sorry, buddy," I coo, bouncing him again. "I was cold, alright?" I say to Rose. As I glance over at her, I notice Edward's cheeks are tinged pink.

I don't know who's cuter, Dexter or Edward.

Ok, Dexter probably just about wins, but at least Edward doesn't pull on people's hair.

"Guys, the house has been declared safe for babies and pregnant people, so you can all come back inside!" Alice announces.

I hand Dexter back to Rose as we make our way inside, though I keep Edward's jacket. It's so warm and it kind of smells like him. He's definitely not getting it back soon.

"So, um, the showing starts at five, so we should probably leave fairly soon?" Edward says, his hands running through his hair again.

"Ok," I smile up at him. We walk up the stairs together, and I grin victoriously when I get to my floor and still have Edward's jacket.

"You're never going to give that back to him, are you?" Rose asks me.

"Never," I tell her, grinning.

Edward holds the door of the car open for me, which makes my heart flutter, and then quickly goes around to his side. The whole journey to Port Angeles – because there isn't a cinema in Forks – is spent with Edward and I talking about anything and everything. The more we talk, the more Edward relaxes. He starts making jokes and telling me funny stories about when him and Alice were younger.

"I think Alice always wishes she'd had a sister. When we were younger, she used to dress me up – in both male and female clothes – and then do pretend fashion shows," Edward tells me.

When I burst out laughing, he glares over at me. "You could be a model when you're older!" I tease him.

"I don't think so," he deadpans, and then we both end up laughing.

Like promised, Edward bought me some sweet popcorn. He also bought both of our tickets; even though I said he didn't have to. We make our way into the theatre, and I joke to Edward about sitting on the back row.

In the end, we sit in the middle and share the popcorn. Occasionally our hands brush as we both go to grab popcorn at the same time, making my heart beat a little quicker.

"I don't see what's so attractive about Chris Hemsworth," Edward whispers just as the film starts.

"What?" I ask, grinning and turning to look at him.

"His hair is too long," Edward says, wrinkling his nose.

I laugh pretty loudly and shake my head at Edward. "Not your type, then?" I joke.

"I bought you popcorn, therefore you have to be nice to me," Edward replies.

"I have to, huh?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

"Yep," Edward nods.

His attention is then captured by the film. I try to work out who's who and what's going on, but I haven't read any of the comics or seen many other Marvel films. I spend most of the time alternating between ogling Chris Hemsworth and ogling Edward. While Chris Hemsworth may be hot, Edward is attractive and incredibly sweet.

Even if he is more entranced by the film than me.

At the end of the film, Edward looks over at me and seems to suddenly remember where we are.

"Sorry! I hardly even spoke to you during the whole film!" Edward says, holding out his hand to help me stand up.

"Don't apologise. It was cute seeing how entranced you were," I tell him, keeping a hold of his hand as we walk out of the cinema.

"You were watching me?" Edward asks, a small grin on his face.

"Maybe a little," I admit.

Edward holds his car door open for me, but there's something I want to do first. I turn around so that I'm facing Edward and take a step closer to him. Edward frowns before realising what I'm planning to do, and then he, too, leans in closer to me.

I thread my fingers through his hair as our lips meet. We kiss slowly and gently, and I smile against Edward's lips when he places his hands on my hips. We break apart, breathless, and just look at each other. Edward pecks my lips a few more times, until someone whistling breaks our bubble.

Edward steps back from me and blushes, quickly hurrying around to the driver's side. I slowly get in the car and can't help my grin. I glance over at Edward, who was just glancing over at me, and we both end up laughing.

"Way to end the moment," Edward teases, starting up the car.

"I think the people whistling ended the moment more," I tell him.

"It was perfect, anyway," Edward says. I swoon. "I like you a lot, any first kiss would've been perfect," he admits.

"So, um, you don't mind that I'm pregnant?" I ask nervously.

Edward reaches across and takes my hand in his, instantly helping me relax. "Bella, you're so sweet and amazing. No, I don't mind you're pregnant, but I would hope one day you'd maybe tell me about your past," Edward says.

"I will, one day. But not tonight. Tonight has been amazing, I don't want to ruin it," I tell him.

"That's fine, Bella. I can wait as long as you need."
