Sup Guys! Yeah this is the 23rd chapter which took a looooooooong time to
finish. You know like what I said in the previous chapter having less time blah blah blah...
But anyway the chapter's here so yeah...
Chapter 23: So this is where it begins...
[Pullen's POV]
"So Nathan I think we should go to the event area and probably get prepared there." I asked. "Well I guess you're right, the Tournament will start in an hour so there's no time for loafing around." Nathan replied. "So how 'bout we get moving it's not far from here anyway." So me and the others, except Matthew and Sceptile went to the event area and saw a large crowd outside. "Um excuse me, we're part of the Tournament." Nathan said. "Oh yes, right this way!" The woman said and led us to our respective areas. "I'm sorry but your friend will be on the other side so if you'll excuse me I'll take your friend there." The woman said. "Just a sec. So Nathan this is where we'll last meet till it gets serious so I'd like to wish you a good-luck!" I said as the two of us fist-bumped each other as our partners waved at each other. "Good-luck Pullen." Nathan said as he walked away with his hands in his pockets while whistling. While I was waiting for the event to start I heard someone announced on the microphone that all battles will be randomized and all battles will be a 3on3 battle. I then thought of bringing out my team. "Come out everyone!" As I threw their pokéballs in the air. "Hiya guys! It'll be 3on3 battles so I want everyone of you to be prepared, we don't know who we'll be facing so I want you guys to be at your best!" I said while giving them each a smile. "You can count on us!" Blaziken said making all of them shout in cheer. Since we still had some time I had a chat with everyone to pass up the time, I learned more about them, their loves and hates and even their fears.
[Nathan's POV]
"You guys can do it! We'll do our best and make sure we win!" I said "You sure we can do this?" Swampert said. "Maybe, maybe not since Pullen's there." I replied as I gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Plus we got this." I added while showing her a Luxury Ball. "But wouldn't that like take up to much attention?" Azumarill said. "Don't worry about that, Pullen will be surprised when he sees this." I reassured. "So are you guys prepared?" I asked. "YEAH!"
[Pullen's POV]
We were continuing our chat when heard a loud siren and a bunch of fireworks. "Hey guys I think it's starting!" I said. "Good morning everyone! Today is the annual Hoenn Tournament! Where the best trainers around Hoenn compete to test their competitiveness in order to defeat the Hoenn League. As the host of the event, I therefore declare the Hoenn Tournament, Open!" The announcer said as we heard a lot of people shouting and the sound of more fireworks.
"Well this should be fun, I can't wait to start! Suddenly I'm feeling all hyped up for this!" I said. "Ladies and gentlemen, the first competitors are, Chris and Zane! Competitors please step to the arena." The host announced as two trainers positioned to each of their sides. A referee then went to the side and said
'begin!' as the trainers chose their first Pokémon. Both of the two trainers started of with flying types so it got 'a little' dusty around the arena. Strong gusts of wind can be heard as the battle became heated. Let's just skip their battle and fast-forward a little bit. Let's just say we had many battles blah blah blah.
"Those trainers weren't as hard as we thought it would be!" I said to the team. "Easy for you to say! You just stood there giving us orders and stuff, we're doing all the battling you know!" Sandslash exclaimed. "Well I guess you're right, I couldn't have not done it without you guys, thank you." I declared.
[Nathan's POV]
"Damn those trainers were good! Good thing I have you guys on my team!" I said. "Yeah and we're glad we have you as our trainer!" Swellow said. "Yep what He said!" Azumarill added. "It ain't over yet, I think we still have one battle, so be prepared." I replied. "Hey Nathan how come I didn't see Matthew watching us?" Swampert asked. "Hmm, you're right dear, I didn't see him either, maybe he went out with Sceptile or something." I answered. "As for our next battle it will be Pullen and Nathan, both hailing from the small town of Littleroot. Trainers, please step to the battle arena!" The host said. "Ah, Finally! We could finally battle Pullen! Let's do this Team!" I shouted. "Um, Swampert remember what we talked about with Pullen." I asked. "Yup, Me and Blaziken are gonna sit this one out." Swampert replied. "Thanks Swamp, and don't worry I got this remember." I said as I pulled out the Luxury Ball. "You don't have to win, just do your best and have fun!" Swampert said as she gave me a kiss on the cheek."I withdrew the rest of the team as I stepped out to a loud crowd cheering, it's so on Pullen!
[Pullen's POV]
"So I guess it's time to battle Nathan, finally." I said. "Get ready team!" I added as I withdrew them into their Pokéballs. "Oh and Blaziken you sit with Swampert near the bench on the side of the arena okay?" I said. "Sure thing, do your best and make sure we win okay?" Blaziken said as she gave me a quick kiss on the cheek. We both stepped out into the arena and saw Nathan standing on the other side. "Yo Nathan so it begins, are you ready?!" I shouted.
"Hell yeah I am!" He shouted back. "Trainers shall we begin?" The referee asked. I then nodded at Nathan as he nodded back. "alright then, BEGIN!"
[Blaziken's POV]
I saw Swampert sitting on the bench that Pullen was talking about and waved at her. I then sat beside her and decided to have a chat. "So Swamp, how are things with you and Nathan?" I asked. "Well, it's been good actually he treats me like a real mate and does everything for me. How about you and Pullen?" She replied. "Pretty much the same, I just love him." I said. As me and Swampert were chatting Matthew suddenly appeared with Sceptile. "Can we sit with you guys?" Sceptile asked. "Sure thing!" I replied. "Hey guys I think it's starting..."
Soooooo This is the chapter, but don't worry though the next chapter will be up really soon and
not as late as the other ones. You'll be able to finally read the part of Pullen and Nathan's battle!
