Sup, so I'm back! Sorry for the ultimate delay... I suck at keeping track of time... I just had a LOT of work that's needed to be finished, but rest assured I'll be more active in posting the chapters... Because... IT'S OUR SUMMER VACATION! So anyway onwards with the story...
Chapter 24: Pullen vs. Nathan; Nathan's Luxury Ball
[Pullen's POV]
"Go Tropius!" I threw out my first Pokémon as Nathan threw out his, "Go Swellow!" Swellow, his only flying type against my flying type, fair fight. "Tropius use Aerial Ace!" I shouted. "Swellow use Aerial Ace as well!" Both of our Pokémon clashing through the air, neither of them letting up. "Tropius get back and use Solar Beam!" Tropius now charging up for a strong Solar Beam. "Oh no you won't! Swellow, use your Agility then Brave Bird!" Before Tropius got to release his Solar Beam, Swellow was already in front of him pushing him out of the arena and crashing to the wall. As the dust cleared out my Tropius already fainted. "Tropius no!"
I then ran to him and recalled him back to his Pokéball. "Well you did well, now take a nice long rest." I said as I placed his Pokéball in my bag. I then saw his Swellow taking long breaths, that move must've cost a lot of energy, this is my chance. "We're just starting! Go Golem!" Swellow must've lost it's speed a lot, because it's already tired. "Golem use Stealth Rock!" Golem lifted up huge pointed rocks from the ground and levitated them up to the air. "Swellow dodge them!"
Swellow was still quite fast but not fast enough! Swellow soon slowed down and wasn't able to dodge the other rocks and was thrown to the ground. I heard Nathan shouting, "Swellow... use Steel Wing!" How strong is that Pokémon! Swellow glowing in some silvery light emerged from the dust and hit Golem directly making him slide a few feet back. "Swellow use Steel Wing again!" Swellow then came swooping up towards Golem. "Wait for it... Golem Hammer Arm!" It was a perfectly timed hit, it slammed Swellow back down to the ground. "Swellow no!" Aw yes! Finally did it. "Nice work Golem!"
[Nathan's POV]
"Swellow Return!" I returned Swellow back to it's Pokéball. "It's alright Swellow, you did a great job, now it's time for you to rest." I put the Pokéball inside my bag and took out another. "Go Azumarill!" This should be of my advantage, I hope, Azumarill ain't in the competitive side but, we'll see... "Azumarill use Bubble Beam!" Azumarill fired fast moving bubbles towards Golem but it was pointless! "Golem use Rollout!" Golem came rolling out towards Azumarill trampling everything in it's path, as for the bubblebeam, well it's gone now. "Azumarill use Hydro Pump on the ground to avoid Golem!" And avoid Golem it did. "Now use Hydro Pump on Golem!" Azumarill fired a strong blast of water against Golem making him loose balance and fall. "Golem use Dig!" Golem then dug underground, Azumarill waiting immensely to where he might appear. "Below you!" Azumarill tried to avoid the attack but failed and was thrown upward. "Finish it with Seismic Toss!" Golem then jumped towards Azumarill and grabbed her, taking it down with a strong toss. "Azumarill!" I then recalled her back to it's Pokéball. "You done good, have a nice rest." I said as I looked at Pullen. "I guess I win." Pullen said. "Oh it ain't over yet." Making a slight smirk. "How? You can't use Swampert and Zoroark isn't here." Pullen said in confusion. "Just wait and see!" I said as I grabbed the Luxury Ball. "Go L..." 'Bzzzzzt' "Half Time Break!" Said the announcer on the microphone. "What?! Halftime, this ain't Basketball!" I said as I placed the Luxury Ball back in my bag. "Golem return!" Pullen said as he took Golem back in it's Pokéball. Well that sucks, Golem gets some rest. "Trainers won't be allowed to see their respective opponents and must return to each of their respective sides." The announcer said. "Might as well get my own Pokémon some rest. Hey Matt... Where did Matthew go? He was there a while ago." I'll talk to him later. "Hey Swamp let's go!" I called her so I could ask her where Matthew went. "Hey Swamp, where did Matthew go?" I asked. "Well he said he had to handle some 'business' with the finger thing." Swampert replied. "What business?" I added. "I dunno but he did emphasize 'business'." Swampert said. "Bah whatever let's just get some rest or something."
[Pullen's POV]
"Might as well take a break, Hey Blaze!" I called. "Hey Pullen you're winning!" Blaze said as she hugged me. "Hey, don't speak so soon, Nathan got a secret weapon or something inside that Luxury Ball, any idea who or what's inside?" I asked. "Uh, nope." She said. "Must be something special." I added. "Ah, that could wait till later, you want a soda or something?" I asked. "Yeah sure a drink would be nice." Blaziken replied. We then headed for the vending machine, suddenly we bumped with Matthew and Sceptile. "Oh there you guys are! Where have you been?" I asked in surprise. "I uh, we've been to the... comfort room..." Matthew said in an uneasy way. "Comfort room? wehehey, what are we doing there?" I asked jokingly. "We, I um, we were... busy.." Matthew replied. "So that's the 'business' they were talking about. Ah who am I to judge." I said in a funny manner. "Soooo Matthew, how come we didn't see you in any of our matches? Except for this one of course, you were busy duh." I said mockingly. "Um, we were there the whole time, probably you didn't see us?" Matthew replied in a somewhat nervous tone. "Well, um we gotta go, I have to check on my other Pokémon, so we'll see you guys later." Then Matthew and Sceptile sped of. "That's weird, all his pokéballs are intact on his belt." I said in deep thought. "This is getting fishy." Blaziken said. "Yes, yes it has."
[Nathan's POV]
"Alright so Swamp, you like lava cookies right? I still have a lot. Man that old woman gave us a lot." I said. "Well if hadn't save her from that pack of Mightyena, well who knows what could've happened to her." Swampert said as she grabbed a cookie. "So what do you think of our battle?" I asked. "Meh, you were losing." Swampert said disappointed. "Well don't worry, we're not done just yet. Speaking of which. Hey, you've been quiet the whole time? Want some lava cookies, they're pretty delicious." I said. "No thank you, I'm quite full." Said the cute voiced Pokémon. "Well, what seems to be the matter?" I said as I approached her. "Oh nothing, I'm just nervous for my first battle." She replied. "Well, don't be I got your back the whole time so don't be nervous, you should feel excited." I said in an enthusiastic tone. "Thanks Nathan, I'll do my best!"
Aww yiss, finally finished the chapter! Well Expect more chapters ahead, cuz I'm back! I'm going to do my best in replacing all those weeks I've missed. I hope you guys continue to read my story!
