A/N: Season 2 has started, I've never been so nervous. I just want Haruto and Saki to get together so bad! Now all these questions are popping up.

Will Haruto start losing his memories and end up like Marie?

What will happen to Saki now that she's not only behind enemy territory, but behind it with A-Drei and in another body?

Where is her body?

I hope L-elf doesn't decide to leave her.

And that fucking kid is driving me insane!

Now that we got a look of him in better light it's obvious his eyes are Haruto's. And of course the hair is L-elf's.

Fuck, what does that mean?!

Is it due to Haruto using L-elf as a Rune fuel source?

Did it affect his DNA or something?

Or maybe Haruto body jacked L-elf so he wouldn't die of old age.

Another idea is maybe the kid was made in like a lab from Haruto's and L-elf's DNA, maybe to create the best ruler for the kingdom they make or Haruto and L-elf start losing their memory so they do some weird shit and reincarnate them together, and Saki looks after him because it's Haruto in there.

I know it's not likely, but the idea just came to me.

I like what they did with the upgrades and how Haruto's Valvrave can equip other Valvrave parts to him, kinda like that old Zoid, Liger Zero. I was gonna have upgrades later on in this story but the ones they put in definitely help. Extracting the heat from the Valvrave and using it as a weapon was a great idea.

And even though it wasn't spot on, I did call a few things in a general sense. Like Haruto freaking out about using the Valvrave. Obviously, the reason is different, but he was still scared about what the Valvrave would do to him, like in chapter 1. I definitely called Saki offering herself to Haruto, I was so happy when that happened, but then I became so pissed when he refused and for L-elf?

What's wrong with him?

So, yeah, I'll cut myself off there before I start going on a major rant. I already do that for another story, but I'll try to keep it to a minimum for this one.

One last thing though, Satomi Renbokoji was an ass to his sister. I understand him being scared when they were being questioned, but doing nothing when she was being bullied, ass.

It had been a few days since the latest Dorssia attack and Haruto had yet to talk to Saki about the incident. He did however get to spend time with Shoko. Sure, that time was spent helping her prepare for the festival (a festival he wasn't sure he approved of) but it was still spent time together nonetheless.

He honestly forgot how much fun it was to be around her.

It was so familiar.

So safe.

He could almost forget about all of his problems.

But, as they parted and he walked through the halls of the school, Haruto couldn't help but wonder if that was a good thing.

Could he really afford to be so selfish?

He had lives riding on his shoulders.

Shouldn't he be spending his time training or something?

He could at least try to get in better shape.

Piloting a Valvrave was a lot more physically demanding than one might think.

Haruto's thoughts were cut short when he passed by the library and saw the lights were on. Now normally, someone using the library wasn't something that would catch his attention. But, do to the fact that it was getting late, Haruto couldn't help but check on the person.

As he made his way through the library, Haruto heard grumbling from the back. Following the noise Haruto came upon a table that was filled with stacks of books. But what really caught his attention was a serious looking Saki sitting at that table and intently reading one of the many books.

She was so caught up in what she was reading she didn't notice Haruto approaching, allowing him to see the titles of said books. When he saw them, his eyebrows furrowed.

The 33 Strategies of War.

De Re Militari.

The Defence of Duffer's Drift.

On War.

They were all books about war.

That included the one in her hand.

"The Art of War." Saki's eyes widened and head snapped up when she heard him mutter the title of the book she was currently reading.

"Haruto?! What are you doing here?!"

"I was walking by and saw the lights on in here so I decided to check on whoever was in here." he answered. "You really didn't hear me coming?" he noticed not too long ago that Saki wasn't one to be snuck up on. Not that he tried sneaking up on her; he just noticed she was always aware of her surroundings and whenever someone would come near her.

He always wondered why she was like that.

"I did scream your name out in surprise." she deadpanned.

"You must've been really into that book." his gaze drifted to a mess of food wrappers that looked like they were bought from one of the vending machines on the campus. "How long have you been here?" now that he got a good look at her, he could see that her hair seemed to have less shine than it usually had. Her eyes were also bloodshot and had bags under them.

"I don't know. What day is it?" her head tilted to the side as she looked up at Haruto.

"Wednesday."

"Then two days." she answered before going back to read her book. Haruto couldn't help but pout at her lack of concern of her health. Just because they were immortal didn't mean she should be reckless.

"What do you mean two days?" he questioned as he snatched the book away from her causing her to reach out for it like a child. "Answer me."

"What's the big deal," Saki started as she crossed her arms and looked away with a pout, "it's just a little lack of sleep."

"Just answer me, please." damn, she couldn't say no to those pleading eyes.

"Well, I figured me commanding wouldn't be just a one time thing, so it would probably be a good idea to study up." she made a sweeping motion with her hand to emphasize the stacks of books.

"I guess that makes sense." Haruto muttered. "But wouldn't make more sense to ask L-elf to teach you?"

"I don't like that guy." Saki grumbled causing Haruto to chuckle awkwardly.

"Come on, Saki. He isn't that bad."

"We'll see about that." Haruto couldn't help but be taken aback by how dark her tone and faced turned. He had never seen Saki in such a way.

He didn't like it.

"S-Saki?" hearing Haruto's voice, Saki immediately turned more cheerful.

"So, can I have the book back now?" she questioned as she reached her hand out expectantly for the book.

"No." his concern for her lack of sleep quickly overshadowed his concern over the dark tone she took just seconds earlier. "You need sleep."

"Haruto, I'm fine." Saki sighed. It was sweet of him to worry about her, it really was, but it wasn't like she was going to die.

Even if she did, it wouldn't be permanent.

"Sleep." judging by the uncharacteristic stern look on his face, Haruto was not going to budge.

She had to admit, stern Haruto was kind of hot.

"Fine." it was also hard to say no to.

Standing up, Saki took a step forward only to let out a "kyaa!" as she fell. In an attempt to save herself, Saki reached out and grabbed onto Haruto only for him to tumble down with her. They both groaned from their position on the floor, Haruto laying on top of Saki, while rubbing their heads.

"You ok?" Haruto questioned as he used a hand to hold himself up.

"Yeah." she answered before she realized the position they were in. "You know," she reached out and twirled a strand of his hair around her finger, earning a blush from him, "if someone walked in right now, they might get the wrong idea." his blush deepened at the implications behind her words and she herself blushed a little.

In a flash, he jumped off of her and stuttered out a string of apologies which in turn caused her to giggle. Since she was so busy the last few days, Saki missed out on continuing her newly formed habit of teasing Haruto.

"Can you help me up?" Saki sat up and held out her hands.

"S-Sure." Haruto, who was still blushing, grabbed her hands and helped her sit on the table. "What happened?"

"Legs fell asleep. I guess that's what happens when you don't use them for two days." she let out a sigh as she clenched her toes, earning a tingling sensation. "It might be a while before I can walk again."

"Here." Haruto offered as he kneeled down in front of her, showing her his back. "I'll carry you." Saki honestly didn't know how to react to the offer.

On one hand, she wanted to jump at the offer; having Haruto give her a piggyback ride made her feel like they were dating. On the other hand, she didn't want to be a burden to him and forcing him to carry her all the way to her room (which wasn't a short walk) was taxing.

Decisions.

Decisions.

She never had a chance to make one due to Haruto reaching back, grabbing her arms, and pulling her onto his back before he stood up. Neither one of them made any noise, they both stayed completely silent as heavy blushes colored their faces.

The reason for said blushes was the same for the both of them. Haruto's hands were on her thighs (the blushes would've been worse if her skirt was shorter, which would result with skin on skin contact) to hold her up, while Saki's chest was pressed up against his back.

Haruto gulped.

He felt like a pervert for noticing it, but the school uniform did a great job at concealing the size of her breasts. They were far bigger (he really wasn't a pervert) than he thought (he really wasn't) judging by how large the area of warmth they provided was covering his back.

"Umm," Saki nervously started, "you can start walking now."

"R-Right." with that said, Haruto began the trek to Saki's room.

As they made their way through the halls, Saki placed her chin on his shoulder so their faces were right next to each other.

"So, what have you been up to?" Saki questioned in an attempt to fill the silence.

"Oh, just helping Shoko with the festival." Haruto shrugged as a smile graced his face.

"That must have been fun." in Saki's opinion, she did a pretty good job to keep the jealousy out of her voice.

"It was." suddenly, his smile dropped and Saki let out a sigh knowing why.

"And you feel bad about that." he was too nice for his own good sometimes.

"Can you blame me? While I was having fun, you were in there for two days bettering yourself. I'm sure L-elf, Kyuma, and even Raizo were doing something productive." he couldn't help but feel ashamed for his irresponsibility.

"Yeah, well, you have a lot more things to deal with than anyone of us." Saki replied referring to his curse. "You have to have some time for yourself to get away from it all. It's not healthy for you to keep your mind consistently focused on stressful thoughts."

"How would you know?" it wasn't that he was arguing against her, Haruto was genuinely curious. They way she said it made it sound like she was talking from experience.

"Experience."

"Oh." so he was right. He wanted to question her on it but decided not to; instead, he chose to bring up a subject he just remembered. "We still haven't talked about that yet." as much as he would like to pretend it never happened, they needed to talk about it.

"I guess it is long passed due." Saki sighed as she tightened her arms around his neck, careful not to cause him any discomfort, and moved her head onto the top of his head. "We can talk in my room. We can be alone there." Haruto couldn't see it but when Saki said those words, she shot a glance towards one of the many cameras that filled the school.

That act caused a certain red-head to reel back in surprise and inwardly wonder if Saki knew that she was watching everything through the cameras. She also couldn't help but wonder what that was.

Haruto and Saki spent the rest of the walk in silence, both of them wondering what to say and how to explain themselves.

"We're here." Saki pulled out her key and opened the door, allowing Haruto step in and set her on the bed.

"How are your legs?" Haruto question as he closed and locked the door while Saki took off her shoes.

"Better." she replied as she lifted her foot and stretched it, inadvertently giving Haruto a good look at her legs.

It always came back to the legs.

It wouldn't be long before he ended up with some kind of leg fetish.

And it would be all Saki's fault.

As if to push the birth of a leg fetish, Saki (unaware of the reaction she was getting from him) stripped off her leggings and began to massage one of her calves.

Her legs were nice though.

'No!' a blushing Haruto quickly shook his head in an attempt to rid himself of perverted thoughts. 'We're here for serious business, not for . . .' his blush deepened when he realized he was in a girls room (a girl that stirred up strange feelings in him) and what most guys would want to do in his situation.

"So, Haruto's a pervert, huh." Saki's words cut through his thoughts and deepened his blush even more.

"Am not!" as he looked down at Saki and saw her trying to break into a fit of giggles, Haruto realized she was only teasing him. "Can we just get this over with?" he asked with an embarrassed mumble.

"Ok, I was just teasing." Saki replied before she turned serious. "Sit." she ordered as she patted the bed.

He did what he was told and sat down, albeit reluctantly.

Neither one of them talked.

They both just sat crossed legged on the bed facing each other. Saki was waiting for Haruto to start and Haruto was trying to get the courage to begin.

If Saki took back what she said he would be all by himself.

Just him and his curse.

'Just get it over with!' Haruto mentally smacked himself on the head for motivation but he still couldn't come up with any words.

What was he suppose to say?

Hey, Saki, are you sure you're ok with me space vampire raping you?

This was not a conversation he ever thought he would be having.

"Just ask the question, Haruto." Saki sighed. She understood that it was a tough subject to bring up, but she wanted to get it over with so they could move forward.

"O-Ok. Sure." Haruto took a deep breath and began. "D-Did you mean what you said about . . . . you know?"

"Yes." her response was so quick and unwavering that it caught Haruto by complete surprise. "I meant every word."

"B-But . . . how?" he managed to get out.

"Does that really matter?" Saki questioned.

"Of course it matters! I . . . you . . . what I did to you." Haruto couldn't look at her anymore so he turned his head away and closed his eyes in disgust.

"Haruto, look at me." she reached out and grabbed his face but he still averted his eyes. "I said look at me." Saki's voice became more tender as she placed her forehead against Haruto's. His eyes widened and immediately turned to her. He couldn't help but blush at the close proximity between the two.

"They say the eyes are the window to the soul, so I want you to look into mine." whether she meant her eyes or her soul, he wasn't sure, but he complied nonetheless. "I know it's hard for you to accept the fact that I'm willing to accept your curse, I get that. It must sound insane for me to be willing to do this, but I do, Haruto. I really do. I want you to share your curse with me. I'm not forcing myself. I don't feel some sense of obligation. I want to be there for you."

". . . . But why? Why me? Why are you willing to go so far for me?"

She knew why.

The answer was simple.

She loved him.

Saki didn't give love nor trust out easily, at all actually.

But when, if, she did, she would stop at nothing for that person who was lucky enough to earn such a place in her heart.

Yet, even though she knew the answer, she couldn't tell him.

Not yet.

It would hurt too much if he rejected her, and even though she pledged to herself that she would love and support Haruto even if he didn't choose her, it didn't mean it wouldn't break her heart.

So, she would wait.

"I can't answer that question, not yet at least. Not until I feel like I'll get the answer I want. So please, until then just accept my answer and don't question my resolve." Saki sighed before she gave him a sad smile. "I'm sorry. I know I'm being selfish-"

"No, you're not!" Haruto quickly interjected. "Not at all! I . . . . ok. I understand. I won't question you again. . . . . . Thank you."

It was so strange how fast the conversation went. He figured they would be there for hours going back and forth, but Saki was just so convincing that he couldn't question her. It felt almost wrong for the matter to be solved so quickly, yet it was also relieving. He would be lying if he said he didn't have butterflies made out of pure anxiety in his stomach for the last few days, but now it was all gone.

Just like that.

Because of one girl.

Saki Rukino was amazing.

She was also mesmerizing.

That's why even after he accepted her answer, they both stayed in their position, foreheads touching and eyes staring into each other. Haruto never realized it before but her eyes were so damn purple.

They fit her perfectly.

All the while Haruto was admiring her eyes, Saki was resisting the urge to take his lips with her own. They were so close, less than an inch from each other. Her every instinct was telling her to do it.

To kiss him.

The atmosphere was perfect.

But, she couldn't.

She didn't want to scare him away by being too forceful.

She needed to take things slowly.

She wante-

Ah, screw it, she was who she was.

Haruto's eyes widened when he felt Saki's luscious lips against his own. His first instinct, the one of a teen that has never had any romantic interaction with the opposite sex, was to pull away, yet he couldn't.

Maybe it was his pent-up hormones.

Maybe it was the fact that ever since he met Saki, she always gave him this ticklish feeling in his gut.

Or maybe it was a combination of the two.

Whatever it was, it kept Haruto from pulling away and instead he began to kiss her back. That honestly surprised Saki, but she couldn't be anymore happy.

'Yes!' internally, she was as giddy as a little girl who got to play princess for a day. But that didn't mean she would let it interfere; instead, she wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned back, pulling him down with her to the bed.

Haruto had to admit, her lips felt great.

They were so soft.

No wonder the other guys in his class were always going on about wanting to kiss some girl they liked. Haruto couldn't help but wonder how kissing with some tongue felt.

Should he try?

How would Saki react?

He did NOT want to ruin the moment by doing too much. But Saki wasn't the shy type, she would be fine with it, right? While Haruto was going through his internal struggle (all the while continuing their kissing) Saki herself was going through the same struggle. She wanted more than anything to slip her tongue into his mouth and down his throat (was she turning into a pervert?) and explore every inch.

But she held back.

As much as she was the aggressive type, Saki wouldn't take the initiative this time. Even though Haruto wasn't the average male that oozed testosterone, he was a male nonetheless. She knew males liked to make the first move when it came to such matters. It was a matter of pride for them and she would respect his. She already took his first kiss, she assumed and hoped, and his second one at that, so she would wait for him to make the next move.

Hopefully he would.

If he didn't, well, she was having a great time anyways.

My goodness did she love kissing him.

It was a lot better than what they did a few nights ago because this was Haruto consciously doing it. It was his decision not some . . . . whatever it was that took him over. That made the simple act of kissing simply euphoric, and when Haruto decided to slip his tongue into her mouth, she got a little wet.

Now, Saki Rukino is not some slut that let guys touch her or do things to her, in fact she's quite the opposite. Besides Haruto, she never let any other male touch her. One could say she had a phobia of being touched by other males, even a hand on the shoulder could send into an inward panic. The only reason no one ever noticed was because Saki was very good at keeping herself from reacting, a poker face one could say, on the few occasions a male did touch her.

There was no way in hell she would let anyone know of her phobia.

She would not let anyone know of such a weakness.

And that was one of, if not the, greatest one.

A weakness that linked to her past.

A past that was filled with ghosts, ghosts that still haunted her to the day.

That was unless she was with Haruto.

Haruto, even though he didn't know it, banished those ghosts.

"Mmmmmm." Saki hummed with pleasure into Haruto's mouth. That hum of pleasure helped settle the question of whether Haruto went too far and spurred him on.

Of course, Saki wasn't one to be outdone, to prove that point she herself fought back with her own tongue causing a battle of dominance between the two. As their tongues battled on, Saki dug her fingers into Haruto's hair while pushing his head closer towards hers, allowing her to practically stick her tongue down his throat.

'His hair's so soft.' Saki couldn't help but notice while Haruto fought back to regain control of their "battle". 'I'm almost jealous.'

Haruto himself had his own thoughts running through his mind.

'This is amazing. I can't believe I'm-' all thoughts ceased when he felt a painfully familiar sensation build up in his chest.

In an instant Haruto pulled away, resulting in Saki making a disappointing groan. As she opened her eyes to ask him why he stopped, her question died in her throat at what she saw. Haruto was clutching his chest with one hand while his eyes changed blood-red and strange markings appeared on his face.

'Why now of all times?' Saki groaned once again. The kissing was much better than what they were about to do, because, once again, the kissing was out of Haruto's own free will.

Not something out of his control.

But she had a duty to carry out, which she was more than glad to do.

"Don't be afraid to let go, Haruto." Saki said to remind him of how they resolved the issue of her genuine willingness not too long ago.

Haruto stared down at Saki as her words registered in his clouded mind. She asked him not to question her resolve and Haruto felt like if he did, he would be doing something utterly disrespectful to Saki. So, he would no longer question her decision.

Suddenly, Haruto once again felt a weight lifted off his shoulders along with a sense of relief, but unlike before that relief didn't turn into guilt. He didn't feel the weight that was lifted off his shoulders shift to his conscience. With that in mind, Haruto relaxed his body and mind and let whatever it was take over.

"Haruto's" next move was to rip open Saki's jacket, removing the set of clothing that help hide her ample breasts, before doing the same to her shirt.

'I'm going to run out of clothes at this rate.' Saki thought as she frantically tried to remove her bra before it too was ripped off.

She was too slow.

'Should've thought this through more.' these "sessions" were going to do a number on her wardrobe.

Her skirt and panties came next.

A few seconds later, Saki felt Haruto's member enter her womanhood. "Haruto" didn't wait long before, to put it bluntly, pounding the hell out of her.

'Gonna be sore tomorrow.' Saki thought before she closed her eyes and searched for the strange, yet comforting, feeling that was born during the first time she took on Haruto's curse.

It didn't take her long to find it and when she did, she embraced it instantly. And just like before she felt a sense of completeness. It was as some primal instinct was telling her that what they were doing was supposed to happen.

Meant to happen.

Destined to happen.

She herself knew it sounded ridiculous (a part of her wondered if she was just making up crap to help convince herself that they could actually, willingly end up together) but she could hope, right?

"Oh!" Saki moaned as "Haruto" plunged himself deeper into her and continued his act, paying her no heed.

They went on for hours, the mixture of "Haruto's" grunts, Saki's moans, and the repetitive clapping sound of flesh hitting flesh reverberated throughout the room; the sounds were accompanied by the smell of sweat and sex that also filled the room. If Saki was in her normal state of mind she would've been worried about the neighboring girls learning about what they were doing, but at the moment she and Haruto were the only two people that existed.

Unfortunately, all good things had to come to an end and their current actions were no different. She could feel herself reaching her climax and judging from the frequency of "Haruto's" grunts, he was too.

A blood-red eyed Saki, dug her nails into Haruto's back as she tried her best to stifle her scream as she and Haruto climaxed. Exhausted beyond belief, Saki's body went limp as her blood-red eyes faded back into their usual violet color. Saki wasn't the only one who was exhausted, that was made evident when Haruto collapsed beside her and fell asleep almost instantly.

"That's romantic." Saki sarcastically stated as she rolled her eyes.

She had the strongest urge to peek under the covers to see Haruto's naked body.

She WAS turning into a pervert.

Deciding that her newly found perverted urges were no big deal as long as they were directly solely at Haruto, Saki covered both of them with a blanket to help rid Haruto of his shivering. While he slept soundly Saki just laid next to him, watching him sleep with a content smile on her face. She couldn't help but reach out and place a hand on his cheek before she let out a giggle when he started to mumble something in his sleep.

Saki stared at Haruto's serene face for what seemed like hours before she felt her eyelids become heavy. Letting out a yawn, Saki wrapped her arms around Haruto's torso to pull him closer before burying her face into his bare chest.

It was so strange how the simple act of holding Haruto (being completely naked didn't hurt) could make her so happy. 'So, this is what love feels like.'

That was the last thought that went through her mind before she to lost herself to sleep.

Saki's violet eyes fluttered open when a stream of sunlight made its way through her window curtains and landed directly on her face. Groaning, Saki lifted her head and rubbed her eyes in a manner many would call cute. She blinked multiple times to clear up her vision before she remembered what happened the night before.

Her eyes turned towards a still sleeping Haruto, before they traveled down towards a small puddle of liquid on his chest. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion at the small puddle before she felt something on her bottom lip. Her face lit up in embarrassment as she wiped the drool from her bottom lip before wiping the puddle off Haruto's chest.

(Beep)

(Beep)

(Beep)

Saki's head whipped towards her alarm clock before she frantically scrambled across her bed to shut off the alarm so it wouldn't wake Haruto.

"Kyaa!" unfortunately, her foot got tangled up in her sheets causing her to fall over the side of the bed. Fortunately, as she fell, she was able to reach out and hit the snooze button on her alarm before she landed with a thud on the ground.

"It's too early in the morning for this." Saki grumbled as she sat herself up.

A groan from Haruto caused her to pop her head above the side of the bed. She watched as he mumbled something in his sleep before turning to his side, causing Saki to sigh in relief when she saw Haruto hadn't woken up from her alarm. In her opinion, he deserved as much rest as he could get with all the pressure that was placed on his shoulders, so she would let him sleep in.

So what if he missed out on classes that, honestly, they didn't need.

He, they, had bigger priorities.

That and she liked the idea of Haruto sleeping in her bed.

With a bright smile on her face, Saki, who was still naked, sauntered to her shower to clean up for the day.

As the warm water hit her skin, Saki couldn't help but let out a content sigh as she thought over what happened between Haruto and herself. She was certainly glad that Haruto finally accepted her help so she could help ease the burden of his curse. But, that also brought up something Saki had been wondering about.

The feeling that popped up the first time she took on Haruto's curse was something that drawn her curiosity.

Why didn't she have such a feeling until she and Haruto . . . . became one?

And on top of that, why was the feeling similar to the way Haruto described how he felt when he begins to lose control?

Did Haruto inadvertently transfer some kind of . . . . . space vampire STD?

That sounded ridiculous on so many levels.

But, what else way could she describe the feeling within her?

She had no idea.

What she did know is that it had something to do with the fact that she and Haruto . . . . mated

That actually made sense.

It wasn't just Haruto and herself that were no longer human, Kyuma and that idiot were also . . . . whatever the hell they were.

Space Vampires?

That didn't really seem like the proper name, nor did she wanted to be called that.

She was getting off topic.

The point was, as far as she knew, the other two weren't going through what she and Haruto were going through (she couldn't help but shudder at the thought) and the only thing that differentiated their situations was that mysterious lady that seemed to live in Haruto's Valvrave.

Haruto had some strange link with the mysterious lady and by mating with him, so did Saki.

How mating with Haruto established some link between the three, Saki didn't know, but hopefully one day she would figure it out. Turning off the water, Saki stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around herself.

Stepping out of the bathroom and making her way towards her closet, Saki was brought to an immediate halt when she caught something at the corner of her eye. It seemed Haruto moved around in his sleep while she was taking a shower. That resulted in Haruto facing away from her . . . . without any blanket covering his backside.

(Gulp)

'Ok, you have to calm down, Saki.' her cheeks were flushed and she knew it wasn't because of the hot shower she just took.

What should she do?

The appropriate thing would be to cover Haruto up, but she was Saki Rukino.

And the Saki Rukino thing to do would be getting changed quickly, whispering a goodbye into the sleeping Haruto's ear, and walking straight out of the room . . . . . . but not before taking a quick picture of Haruto's backside with her phone.

Yeah, she was definitely becoming a pervert.

"It seems I'll need to move things along a lot sooner than I expected." the ex Dorssian soldier known as L-elf muttered.

He was hoping that the Dorssia Navy would be a little more parsimonious with sending Cain reinforcements, but it seemed their desire for the Valvraves was slowly out weighting their pride as Dorssians and ill will towards Cain.

It was something L-elf accounted for but hoped against.

Life never gave him a break so why would it start now?

With that in mind, he would need to start the Valvrave pilot's personal training very soon. First, he would need to get them out of their childish school kids mindset and into one of a soldier.

The fastest and easiest way to do that would be a simulator.

That would allow him to throw them into a war environment.

Unfortunately, they didn't have one.

Hopefully Takumi Kibukawa would be able to create one. The creation of a simulator would also be a good learning experience for Yusuke Otamaya; who showed great promise in the engineering department.

That would be killing two birds with one stone.

Of course, since a main water distribution pipeline was damaged along with, and more importantly, the Water Purification Center, those two had more important duties to fulfill before the creation of the simulators.

Damn Cain.

Attacking the water supply was definitely something he would do. Unlike most Dorssia Military Commanders, Cain wasn't one to go against his enemies with brute force and overwhelming numbers in order to completely wipe them out.

No, it was more like a chess match to him.

He didn't want to just beat his opponents, he wanted to put them in a situation where they knew there was no chance of victory, forcing them give up. That's what he was doing when he attacked the water supply. With no water, they would be left with two choices.

Die of dehydration, or surrender to the Dorssia Military.

But unfortunately for Cain, lack of information was a killer for such plans, and L-elf doubted Cain knew that they had two people capable of fixing the damage to the water supply.

So, while Yusuke Otamaya and Takumi Kibukawa were busy fixing the mess Cain made, L-elf would get started with the Valvrave pilot's hand to hand combat and firearms training. With that in mind, L-elf turned on an electronic hand-held device he used for multiple purposes and tapped into the security cameras on the module.

The purpose for that act was to check up on the Valvrave pilots and see how they were spending their free time. Hopefully, they were doing something productive instead of wasting their time in school.

School at a time of war.

Ridiculous.

A tired groan escaped Haruto as his eyes slowly opened, before they were slammed shut when rays of sunlight entered his vision. Feeling completely exhausted, despite the night's rest, Haruto covered himself with the blanket and buried his head into his pillow.

'Smells. . . . different. Good, but different.' opening his eyes, Haruto's brain began to try to identify why his pillow smelled different.

Did he wash it?

Not recently.

Did he spill something on it?

No, he would've washed it if he did.

(Sniff. Sniff)

It smelled like... Lavandula

His eyes snapped open and he sat up instantly.

He only knew one person who smelled like that.

Looking around the room, Haruto's suspicions were confirmed when he saw the interior of the room. Putting two and two together, Haruto came to realize that he was in Saki's room.

A heavy blush engulfed his face at the thought of not only being in Saki's room but waking up in her bed.

.

.

.

.

And he was naked.

His blush exploded while he covered his bottom half from Saki with a blanket.

Wait.

Where was Saki?

And, why did he wake up in her bed?

The only reason for that would be...

'Oh God, I-' before Haruto became engulfed in sorrow, shame, and regret, the conversation he had with Saki the night prior came to the forefront of his mind.

"I know it's hard for you to accept the fact that I'm willing to accept your curse, I get that. It must sound insane for me to be willing to do this, but I do, Haruto."

Her face was so determined.

"I want you to share your curse with me. I'm not forcing myself. I don't feel some sense of obligation. I want to be there for you."

Her violet eyes held such a passionate fire.

"So please, until then just accept my answer and don't question my resolve."

Like a balloon, Haruto felt all the sorrow, shame, and regret deflate from his body as he decided, just like the night before, to believe in Saki and her words. Breathing out a sigh of relief over the thought of no longer feeling guilty for his "episodes" Haruto flopped back onto Saki's bed.

'Wait a second.' Haruto quickly sat up. 'Where is she?'

"Saki?" he called out, no response. "Saki?!" once again no response.

Standing up, while making sure he covered himself with the blanket, Haruto located his clothes and got himself dressed before he called out for Saki once again. Scratching his in confusion Haruto glanced around the room until his eyes caught the time displayed on the digital clock.

10:32

Wow, he was late.

"She must have went ahead of me." Haruto mumbled before collected his socks and shoes. As he put on his footwear Haruto couldn't help but notice how impersonal the room looked. There was nothing that showed who the room belonged to. Nobody would walk into the room and think "this room belongs to Saki Rukino"; they would most likely think that it was an unused room.

It looked so lonely.

He couldn't help but wonder one thing as he exited her room.

'Is Saki lonely?'

Once again, Haruto found himself blocking out whatever useless (he felt a jerk for thinking that) information Ms. Nanami was teaching. His mind was too preoccupied by Saki. He remembered once Shoko told him that a room was a reflection of oneself.

If that was true, then what did that say about Saki?

Her room looked like she held no personal attachment to it. Like it was just a place to sleep and nothing more. For Haruto, his room was a comfort zone. It was a place where he could one hundred percent comfortable.

It was HIS room.

But for Saki, it seemed like she didn't see it that way. It was almost like she was ready to move on at a seconds notice. Of course he could be wrong, but the feeling in his gut led him to believe he wasn't.

Was Saki lonely?

That questioned rang through his mind over and over.

Haruto knew what it was like to be lonely. He experience a time in his life where he felt like the only person in the world and he hated that feeling. That time in his life was short but the memory never faded.

Was Saki lonely?

Now that he thought about it, Saki didn't really have many friends. Sure, she talked to people but she was just responding most of the time. Really the only person she initiated conversations with was himself.

Maybe he was just being conceded.

It wasn't like he spent all his time with her. Saki could have a number of friends he just didn't know about. He never did hear her talk about them though, and on top of that she did act pretty aloof most of the time. It was only when the Dorssia Military attacked and the Valvraves made their appearances that Saki seemed to liven up.

It wouldn't be hard to believe that she didn't have many friends, if any at all. That would explain why Saki was able to disappear into the library for two days without anyone asking about her.

That thought brought a frown to Haruto's face.

He was starting to think that maybe Saki was lonely. Although, she never seemed to give off a lonely vibe, but Haruto wouldn't be surprised if she just covered it up with her aloof attitude.

His head was starting to hurt.

Taking a glance towards Saki's empty seat, Haruto decided to just ask her. If she was lonely then he wanted to help stave off that loneliness.

"Ms. Nanami can I go to the bathroom?! Thanks!" without waiting for a response, Haruto darted out of the classroom and towards the library.

Quietly opening the library door, Haruto slowly made his way to the spot he found Saki at the day before. He didn't make himself known to her right away; instead, he peered from behind a bookshelf to watch her.

He was concerned, not stalking.

And just like he thought, she was there continuing where she left off. As he watched her, Haruto couldn't help but wonder if he was jumping to conclusions earlier.

She didn't look lonely to him.

In fact, she looked rather content, if the small smile on her lips were any indication.

Her lips.

His eyes were drawn to them like a freaking magnet.

Soft, supple, and moist.

Suddenly, what he and Saki were doing before he lost control last night replayed through his mind causing him to blush brightly. He couldn't deny that kissing Saki felt good, it felt damn good. So good that he wondered if-

"A pervert and a stalker." Saki's playful voice rang through the air. "To think you were such a delinquent." she finished as she shook her head with mock disappointment.

"Wha- No! I was just. . . ." Haruto stuttered incoherently causing Saki to giggle.

"I was just having some fun with you, calm down."

"R-Right." he should've known, she was teasing him a lot lately.

"So, what can I do for you, tiger?" marking her place in the book she was reading, Saki closed it and gave Haruto her full attention.

"Y-You, uh. . . . didn't wake me up. . . . . this morning." Haruto couldn't help but blush and feel more than a little sheepish.

It was a weird conversation to have.

At least he no longer needed to feel guilty over what he did.

"You look like you needed the rest."

"If anyone needed the rest it should be you." she was the one that went on a reading binge.

"I'm fine." Saki reassured. "In fact, I feel really energized. It's weird, the same thing happened after . . . . you know." while she was ok with accepting his curse, it was still a weird conversation to have.

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah."

"That's . . . . ."

"Weird." Saki finished off for Haruto after he trailed off.

"I don't think weird is a strong enough word." Haruto muttered more to himself than to Saki. 'I wonder if-'

"How about you?" Saki's question cut off Haruto's musing leaving him confused.

"What?"

"How are you doing? After last night, you're not . . . . "

"I'm fine." Haruto answered earning a skeptical look from Saki. "Really, I am!"

"Are you sure?" standing up from her chair, Saki rounded on Haruto and closed the distance between them, forcing Haruto to step back until he was sitting on the edge of the table. "You're not lying to me, are you young man!?" slamming her hands on the table, Saki leaned forward and gave Haruto a stern look causing him to gulp.

For some reason, Haruto felt like he was being stared down by a stern school teacher instead of Saki his friend and something more. So, he responded the only way he knew how.

"Yes ma'am!" back stiff, Haruto answered with respect. Saki continued to give him a stern look before bursting out in laughter. Haruto himself looked at her in confusion before he realized that she was messing with him causing him to hang his head in defeat.

"You're a really good actor." he got so caught up in the atmosphere she created that he actually saw her as one of those no-nonsense teachers.

"Thank you." Saki chirped as she gave him a wink before turning a bit more serious. "But really, are you ok?" looking up at her concerned face, Haruto couldn't but give her a grateful smile for caring so much.

"Well, I'm not gonna lie, at first when I woke up, I was pretty close to freaking out." Saki stepped closer to him and placed a comforting hand on his arm and opened her mouth to reassure him, but Haruto gave her a smile that stopped her. "But, then I remembered what you said the night before. After I remembered that, I was able to calm down."

"I'm glad." Saki said as she sat beside Haruto on the table.

"Me too. I feel like a giant weight has been lifted off my shoulders." with the emotion called gratitude easily visible on his face, Haruto turned to face Saki and looked her dead in the eyes. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." Saki for the life of her couldn't bring herself to look away, or even blink for that matter, from Haruto's sky blue eyes; they were just too beautiful.

"You . . . . " pulling his gaze from her and turning it to look out a window, Haruto began to speak once again. "You don't understand how much what you said means to me."

"..." Saki didn't respond, as much as she wanted to, she knew he had more to say.

"With everything that's going on, from the war with Dorssia, what we've become, what I'm becoming," the guilt, "sometimes I feel like . . . ." it was hard to grasp how he sometimes felt about the situation he found himself in.

It was almost like-

"You're falling with nothing or no one to grab onto." it wasn't a question.

It was a statement that showed Haruto that Saki knew exactly what he was talking about, how he felt.

It was a statement that made Haruto wonder what kind of life Saki had before, but as much as he wanted to know more about her, he felt like he should respect her privacy. Besides her idol career, Saki never really brought up her past before, but judging from how she could empathize with how he felt, he was starting to think it wasn't a happy one.

"Yeah." Haruto confirmed before continuing. "That's why I'm so grateful about what you said. The idea of having someone I can talk to about everything, well, it's a huge relief."

It truly was.

Saki was the only one he could confine to completely.

Shoko and the rest of the students were out of the picture completely.

There was no way they could relate to the pressure Haruto and the rest of the Valvrave pilots had to deal with. Sure, some students were involved with the war, but they weren't out there actually fighting on the front lines, so they really couldn't understand the pilots, let alone him.

For his fellow Valvrave pilots, while they could understand the pressures he felt of having everyone's lives depending on them, they could never understand, or know, what he was turning into.

The thought of what everyone might think of him if they found out what he was, what he was becoming, scared him.

No one could know.

No one but Saki.

She understood the pressures of being a Valvrave pilot.

And she knew about his change.

Saki, she knew, and more importantly, she accepted what he was becoming, and was willing to help shoulder his curse.

Saki was truly a blessing.

Feeling her small, soft hands envelop his right one, Haruto turned his gaze away from the window and met hers. They both continued to stare into each others eyes until the memory of what they did before Haruto lost control flashed through their minds.

In an instant, they both snapped their heads away from each other, a blush adorning both of their faces. Despite all the teasing Saki showered, and would continue to shower, Haruto with, she was just as much as a novice when it came to intimate acts with the opposite sex as Haruto. That's why her reaction wasn't all that surprising to her, in fact, she loved that reaction. She loved how giddy she felt by just thinking of Haruto, let alone actually being with him.

It made her feel . . . . normal.

Made her feel human.

Like she wasn't twisted by the world.

"So, uh . . . ." Saki turned her attention towards Haruto who hopped off the table. "I'm going to get going."

"To class?"

"No, actually," Haruto began as he scratched his cheek sheepishly, "I was thinking about working out."

"Huh? Really?" while the thought of Haruto getting all sweaty and gaining muscles was alluring, working out really didn't seem like something he would do.

"Yeah, well, I just feel like I should be doing something with my time, you know? It wouldn't feel right to just go to class and do nothing." it was time for him to take things more seriously.

"Haruto, you don't need to-"

"Yeah, I think I do." he interrupted. "There isn't much I can do to help in this war. I'm not a tech genius like Mr. Kibukawa or Yusuke, I can't fix or make us new weapons to use like those two. And I definitely can't command a battlefield like L-elf or you. All I can do is fight. So, I'll do that as best as I can."

Saki couldn't bring herself to protest Haruto's words. They were spoken softly yet held a mountain of determination in them causing Saki to sigh. A part of her didn't like the idea of Haruto furthering his mindset into wartime one, but her practical side was agreeing with Haruto's new mindset; he was their heavy hitter on the battlefield.

That being said, both mindsets disagreed with Haruto only being able to fight and nothing more, but expanding his abilities in other fields would come later.

"I'm sure you will." Saki replied to his earlier statement with an encouraging smile on her face. "But, why working out? Why not something else?"

"Well, I'm not sure if it's the same for the rest of you, but for me piloting the Valvrave is really tiring for my body."

"You too!" Haruto couldn't help but take a step back due to Saki's outburst.

"Uh, yeah." recomposing himself, Haruto couldn't help but feel a little relief. He always felt a little embarrassed about being so tired after piloting when it seemed the other pilots were fine themselves, something he credited to them having tougher, stronger bodies.

He knew it was stupid to worry about such a small thing (especially when he had much bigger problems) but as a teenage male he was a little self-conscious about his physique. Throw on the fact that Saki never seemed to be tired after she became a pilot like the other two and it led to Haruto being a little embarrassed.

So, he decided why not kill two birds with one stone?

By working out not only would he increase his self-esteem but also make piloting less stressful on his body. It wasn't like he had any other way to improve his piloting. The thought of taking his Valvrave out to practice crossed his mind but he quickly shoved it away.

That would be too dangerous, one never knew when the Dorssia Navy was hiding and waiting, if they ever stopeed. Also, it wasn't like they had drones to practice against. All he would be able to do was fly through space and shoot asteroids.

Like that would make him a better pilot.

"Honestly," Saki began with a hint of amusement, "I was sore for days after I first piloted Carmella!"

"Ha. Me too."

"Hey, does your butt also go numb from all the shaking that happens when you get hit?" as if to emphasize her question Saki turned her head and stuck out her butt to get a look at it.

Surprisingly enough, she actually wasn't trying to tease or flirt with him at the moment.

". . . . No." while his face was flushed due to Saki unintentionally giving him a view of her rear end (he couldn't help but think that it was really nice) it was mostly due to the laughter he was trying to hold back.

The look she gave him after he answered her question was hilarious.

She looked like a fish out of water.

"Hahahahahahaha!" the dam eventually broke and Haruto bursted out with laughter.

"You're mean!" red, due to embarrassment, cheeks puffed out along with a pout on her lips Saki stomped her foot.

"Sorry! Sorry!" Haruto apologized as he tried to reel in his laughter, keyword tried. "Hahahahahahaha!" as his laughter grew, Saki couldn't help but give an angelic smile. His laughter sounded just so beautiful to her, and his child-like smiling face matched his laughter so perfectly it felt like her insides were on fire.

"Sorry. I'm so sorry." Haruto wiped a tear from his eye as he stood up straight. "I just, I don't know, I guess I just didn't see that coming." letting out a fake huff Saki folded her arms and looked away.

"I don't know if I can forgive you so easily." Haruto couldn't help but smile at her act of annoyance before deciding to play along.

"Then what can I do to earn your forgiveness? I'll do anything."

'Anything?'

No, she couldn't ask him to do that.

Or could sh-

'No, stop being a pervert me!' shaking her head, which drew a raised eyebrow from Haruto, Saki got rid of her growing perverted side's thoughts. "I think I'll just save that for a later date, ok?"

"Sure." he hoped she didn't ask him to do something crazy. "Well, I think it's time to get to work. You wanna come?"

"Hmmmm?" her index finger made it to her lips as she tilted her head up to complete a cliché thinking pose. "I don't think muscles would be a good look on me. Imagine this being a six-pack." lifting up her shirt, Saki exposed her flat stomach as she ran her hand up it. Haruto never got the time to blush as the image of Saki having a six-pack appeared in his mind, causing him to cringe.

"Exactly." Saki said seeing his reaction. "Girls and muscles don't mix."

He agreed.

"Alright then." Haruto turned and began walking towards the door. "I'll see you later. I think I'll start with running first." the last sentence he spoke was to himself but they made it to her ears nonetheless.

Running?

Running meant stretching.

And Haruto was strangely very adamant about his stretching.

He did them all very thoroughly.

And there was this one stretch where one would spread their legs and bend ov-

"Haruto, wait for me!"

'I wonder what changed her mind.' wearing the standard P.E uniform, white shirt and blue shorts, Haruto waited at the track field for Saki.

Honestly, why did girls take so long to get ready?

It wasn't like she was going to a party or something.

"Haruto!" turning towards Saki's voice, Haruto watched her jog towards him while wearing the standard female P.E uniform, white shirt and red bloomers.

Red bloomers that showed off her thighs.

Gulping, Haruto tore his eyes away from the reason for his quickly growing fetish and began to stretch. All the while, unaware of the predatory eyes of Saki Rukino, watching, waiting.

'A pervert. I'm a pervert.'

How did she know that?

The heavy breathing in anticipation was a hint.

It was like one of those anime characters that found themselves in a girls locker room while said girls were changing.

All her thoughts ceased when she saw Haruto spread his legs apart causing her breathing to become even heavier. And then the moment she was waiting for happened.

Slowly, Haruto bent over and placed his hands on the ground.

'I should've brought my phone.' she could've taken a picture.

"Saki?"

"Y-Yes?!"

"Are you ok?"

"O-Of course! Why do you ask?"

"Your nose is bleeding." letting out an "eep", Saki turned away from him and used the back of her hand to wipe the trail of blood coming from her nose. "Are you sure you're ok?"

"Fine! I'm fine! See?!" facing him, Saki gave him a cheerful smile while she was hoping he didn't realize that she was staring at his ass.

"And what an ass."

"What was that?"

"L-Let's get running!" with her face beat red, Saki sprinted off around the track.

"Uh, sure." Haruto mumbled before he took off after her.

Saki ran for a little over a mile before she decided that, that was enough for her and took up a seat on a patch of grass to watch Haruto, after running into the locker room and grabbing her phone of course. Haruto however, continued for another mile and a half. Sure, he was more jog/walking than running but he was still pushing himself.

After he finished running, Haruto dragged his body to Saki's side and collapsed on his back.

"You ok, tiger?" Saki giggled as she paused the music on her phone.

His response was loud, labored panting.

That was ok with her, she was quite content with letting her eyes take in his sweaty form.

To take a picture or not to take a picture, that was the question.

The decision was taken out of her hands when Haruto finally opened his eyes as his panting lessened slightly.

Damn.

"So, you still plan on continuing?" she couldn't help but giggle yet again when Haruto groaned at the thought of working out further.

"Tomorrow. I'll continue tomorrow." shrugging her shoulders at his response, Saki laid down next to Haruto and stared at the artificial sky of their module.

"Did you just take a picture?"

"Nope."

A/N: And done.

I hope it was worth the wait.

Obviously there was no action this chapter, but some character development. Haruto finally accepted Saki's help (unlike in the fucking anime) and he's developing a little bit of a leg fetish. I also showed a glimpse of how his past was. It's obviously gonna be darker than canon, I assume, but I want them to have tragic pasts.

For Saki you've seen that she's become a little bit of a pervert for Haruto. I hoped that part will be well received, even if it is ooc. I've also implied that she knows that someone is watching through the cameras and is a student but she doesn't know that it's Akira or that she exists. I'll explain how she knows someone is watching later.

Also the anime's kind of helped me with having Shoko and Haruto drift apart naturally, For Haruto he's going to be more dedicated to the cause than in canon, by that I mean not just being a pilot, but an actual soldier.

You know hand to hand combat and badass shooting.

I plan for some badass Haruto and L-elf moments in the future.

For Shoko in the anime we've seen her dedicate herself to her role as Prime Minister which has taken her away from Haruto which is what I'll do in this story.

Also someone asked if there will be other pairings and well yeah.

At first I was thinking L-elf x Liselotte but depending what happens in the anime I might go L-elf x Shoko. But I should also say that the thought of killing off Shoko has always been a possibility since the beginning of the story, but we'll see.

Maybe I'll put up a poll on whether I should kill her and who L-elf should end up with.

Another pairing that I've come to like is H-Neun x Kriemhild. I liked how they were focused on a little more in season 2 and how we seen them out of uniform. I'm thinking H-Neun surviving episode 5 and calling Kriemhild for help. Eventually they start thinking somethings going on not just with Cain but with the higher members of the Dorssia Military. I want it to end up with them joining with L-elf, Haruto, and everyone else.

Obviously it won't be like hey L-elf were on your side now.

It'll happen realistically.

Also, if anyone can come up with a better name than New JIOR for Haruto's future empire (I think empire sounds better than kingdom, along with emperor) than please tell me.

That's about it.

Please review, it motivates me and shows me you want more.

Oh yeah 2 things before I go.

1. How cute was Saki in that commercial?

That's my type of demon.

2. [Valvrave the Liberator (Kakumeiki Valvrave) AMV] SHATTERED

That's the title of the only, as far as I know, Haruto x Saki amv. Look it up on youtube. If there's another out there please tell me.
