A/N: This one took a little longer longer than the last few, sorry. These last couple of days I got kinda lazy which sucks because I was able to write 2,000 words a couple of times in a day, but it eventually died down. This chapter was actually longer and was still being written but I decided to cut it short. That of course means I'm close to 4,000 words into the next chapter so that's good.

But, anyways, is anyone else worried how Buddy Complex will end besides me? I mean fucking Sunrise. I never knew what people meant by that but after Valvrave the Liberator . . . fucking Sunrise. I can see the ending being something like Hina going into the past to save Aoba which is pretty much the beginning of the series. Time travel what a pain. And if it ever gets a fanfic section it's gonna be filled with Yaoi I can tell already.

Well that's all I have to say I think.

Oh yeah, is anyone loving the newest Index volume. Touma is the man, Tou-man. Totally underrated. He's up there in the all time self sacrificing department, along with Itachi and Lelouch.

When C-sieben received his first mission as a Dorssia Agent, he figured it would be something relatively simple. Maybe something along the lines of assassinating an American judge or perhaps mayor.

A test run.

But, no, that wasn't what he was assigned to do, what he was supposed to do, what he was doing for the last two weeks. It still made no sense to him why he would be assigned such an important mission. It wasn't like he was the top of his class or anything, and it damn sure wasn't like he was Karlstein Institute graduate. He was just an average Dorssia Agent, which really wasn't average.

C-sieben definitely looked average though, much to his dismay. Blonde shaggy hair, blue eyes, light skin, nothing about him stood out. Hell, he didn't even have that aura most, if not all, soldiers had that screamed they were deadly. He could've easily been mistaken as an average high school student. In fact, that was the exact reason he was picked for this mission.

He was to infiltrate module 77.

That was his main objective, assimilate himself into the community, high school, without drawing attention to himself. That last part would be easy seeing as he seemed to be invisible, and not the spy type invisible. No, more of the "he was in our class?" invisible.

He hated his life.

After he assimilated himself into the community (it felt weird calling them that when they were nothing more than dumb kids who made dumb decisions) he had a few options to choose from.

Option one: Eliminate former Dorssia Secret Agent turned traitor (he was under orders from Cain, scary man, that, that particular piece of information never left his mouth or he would face the penalty of death) L-elf.

The moment that option was given to him the words "fuck no" flashed through his mind in bright neon lights. It went without saying that he was not pursuing that option. In fact, he had no intention of even being in eyesight of that guy despite the fact that L-elf wouldn't know what he looked like.

That was another reason he was chosen.

Since he was a newly appointed Dorssia Agent, L-elf would know nothing of him, not even his appearance. But, C-sieben wasn't taking any chances with the guy who was called the "One Man Army".

Fuck that.

Option one: out.

Option two: Capture a Valvrave, if that's not possible sabotage the Valvraves.

That was something that he could do.

Possibly.

Knowing L-elf (not that he actually knew him) he would have some kind of security for the Valvraves, making option two less attractive, but he wouldn't rule it out.

Then there was option three.

Option three: Eliminate any, all if possible, Valvrave pilots.

That was more to his liking.

The pilots were just kids, even if they could pilot a mech that didn't mean they could stand a chance against a Dorssia soldier outside of their Valvraves. They would be easy pickings. The only problem was that he didn't even know the identities of the pilots of the blue and orange Valvraves. He couldn't kill them if he didn't know who they were. But, the pilots of the red and green Valvraves were identified by Dorssia intelligence.

Haruto Tokishima, the pilot of the red Valvrave, the boy who stupidly, and probably unknowingly, set one of the biggest bulls eye in the world on his back for daring to resist Dorssia, let alone successfully doing it. There wasn't one loyal Dorssian that didn't hold some hatred towards the boy for dealing their nation such a humiliating loss.

C-sieben was given all information that Dorssia could find on the boy, and to say he was underwhelmed was an understatement. Just looking at a picture of him C-sieben could tell he was nothing more than a naïve, innocent boy. And true to his assessment there was nothing special that Dorssia's intelligence could find about the boy. Nothing that would indicate that the boy had any military or piloting training of any sort. The only thing that stood out about him was the fact that he was childhood friends with JIOR's Prime Minister's daughter.

Maybe he could find her and kidnap her.

That could work.

But then again, if it's L-elf he would probably kill the hostage himself just so there wasn't anytime for Haruto Tokishima to consider his demands, handing over his Valvrave, of course.

But, he was realistic, and killing the pilots seemed like the smartest choice. Again, he was only aware of two of the pilot's identity and the pilot of the green Valvrave was rather surprising.

Saki Rukino, former idol and actress.

Who would've thought that she of all people would become a pilot of one of the worlds greatest weapons.

Another humiliation for the Dorssia Military.

Her file was also given to him and, her fame as an idol and actress aside, it wasn't astounding either. The music company that signed her did try to cover up her past but they couldn't hide anything from Dorssia; nosy reporters yes, Dorssia, no. Reading about the circumstances of her past he couldn't blame the music company. That type of past would ruin the image the girl created and the music company couldn't have that.

But, knowing her past didn't amount too much either. C-sieben had brought up the idea of kidnapping the one person they could use as leverage against her, but he was informed that they couldn't locate the young man. Apparently, Dorssia intelligence lost his trail, but the curious thing was that they lost it when it lead them towards ARUS. While no self-respecting Dorssian soldier would ever admit it but ARUS' spy and information network was superior to Dorssia's. So, it was no surprise that they couldn't find where their possible leverage was, but he had an idea what happened to him.

All in all, they had no way to pressure Haruto Tokishima or Saki Rukino, but that was fine all he had to do was kill them anyways. He never thought he would get an opportunity the day he infiltrated the module. There he was hiding out in the city that the school was located in, only to look out the window of a restaurant he was raiding for food (he had rations but they were nasty as hell) and see his two main targets walking down the street, seemingly on a date.

He couldn't help the anger that spiked in him at the sight. They were currently at war with Dorssia, the greatest nation to ever exist, and they had the audacity to go on a date as if Dorssia didn't strike fear in their hearts. Seeing as they were completely by themselves, C-sieben saw that as a perfect moment to take them out and he planned on doing that. That is until the girl's head snapped in the direction of the diner he was in causing him to hide behind a pillar.

That girl, she wasn't as helpless as he thought she was. He could see it in her eyes, there was a dangerous glint in them, something that told him to be wary of her. Thinking back to what he read on her file, it made sense that she wasn't as naïve and innocent as the boy beside her, she had been through a lot. Not that he held any sympathy for her.

That was the way the world worked.

The strong lived and the weak died.

Saki Rukino was strong so she lived through her childhood, but that strength wouldn't last forever now that she made an enemy out of last nation anyone would want to make an enemy of.

As they moved along their way, C-sieben made his way to shadow them. His mind set was simple, wait until they got further away from the school, close in on them, and then kill them. That was what he was planning to do, that is until a bone chilling thought struck him.

What if he was walking into a trap?

Normally, C-sieben wouldn't worry about such a thing seeing as everyone there were nothing but idiotic, teenage students. But, one simple fact brought the fear of a trap to the forefront of his mind.

L-elf was on the module.

The possibility that L-elf knew he infiltrated the module and sent the two identified Valvrave pilots out in the open to lure him out was more than possible. In fact, it was very well possible that L-elf already knew where he was at and was around the corner waiting for him.

He had to get the hell out of there.

Killing the two pilots would wait, he had plenty of time to make his move. He decided to stick with his earlier plan to slip into the school and pretend to be a student that no one really paid any mind to. He would worry about how to take those two out at another time.

That's how two weeks later he found himself staying in an apartment on the top floor of a seven story building. It was far enough so he wouldn't be seen by any of the students and high enough to let him watch the school with a pair of military grade binoculars.

Honestly, he was procrastinating, but he was in no rush, especially with L-elf somewhere in the module. He would have to move soon though, he couldn't wait forever.

Looking at the school uniform he was provided with for his mission, C-sieben couldn't help but sigh. He really should've picked a different line of work.

"Don't look your opponent in the eyes." L-elf instructed as he feigned a left jab before landing a snap kick into Haruto's gut causing the boy to hunch over in pain. "There's nothing to be gained by that." L-elf then proceeded to grab Haruto's head before trying to slam his knee into his face. He intended to break his nose but Haruto was able to tilt his head so his forehead took the hit.

The forehead was the best place to take a blow to the head after all.

"Owww. My head." Haruto groaned as he clutch said head in hopes to end the throbbing pain running through it. "Then where am I supposed to look?" Haruto murmured as he struggled to stand up straight.

His stomach and head were killing him.

"Shoulders, midsection, and knees. Watch those three points, they'll help you predict your opponent's movements."

" . . I'll do that." Haruto stated as he readied himself for another bout, his head still hurt but he had to push through.

With that said, L-elf attacked once again with two left jabs. The first towards his face, which Haruto dodged by stepping to the side, then followed by one towards midsection, Haruto dodged by jumping back. Despite L-elf's attacks being two simple jabs, Haruto's heart was racing. Those two jabs, just like all of L-elf's attacks, were lightning fast and crazy accurate.

They hurt like hell too.

Haruto might be determined to take whatever L-elf threw at him but that didn't mean he wanted to take it.

Hurt like hell.

'Shoulders, midsection, and knees.' Haruto mentally repeated as he watched for any slight movement in those body parts that would indicate an attack. He got what he was looking out for when L-elf spun and delivered a kick directed at his face. 'Fast!' in fact the kick was faster than any attack he delivered in any of the training sessions so far.

That included both group and personal training.

To Haruto, it looked like L-elf (sensei?) was standing still one moment and the next he was already in the middle of his kick. Luckily, Haruto was doing what L-elf suggested letting him being able to lift his arms and block the kick. Of course being L-elf, the kick held both speed and power, resulting in Haruto losing his balance backwards.

Unfortunately, L-elf wasn't one to leave an opening go to waste. Seeing L-elf close in on him, Haruto decided to give up on regaining his balance and went with his momentum. That resulted in him falling into a back roll, placing him back on his feet in a crouch, perfect position to dive the hell out the way of L-elf's ax kick.

'Shoulders, midsection, and knees.' Haruto was quick to spring up to his feet and he was just as quick to duck as L-elf threw a right hook. 'Shoulders, midsection, and knees.' bringing up his hands to block L-elf's knee to his chin, Haruto was left completely open to L-elf's elbow which slammed onto the top of his head before he was thrown halfway across the room.

Shaking his head with a groan, Haruto tried to stand, only to feel all sense of balance leave him causing him to stumble forward until he ran into L-elf. L-elf didn't falter when Haruto stumbled into him nor did he attack. While L-elf was a brutal teacher he wasn't a cruel one. He saw no point in attacking Haruto when he obviously couldn't defend himself. There was no growth to be found there.

"Sit down, you most likely have a concussion." L-elf stated as Haruto did as he was told. Haruto was more than glad for the time to recover. "Here." L-elf offered him water which he quickly took and started gulping down.

"You're going to get cramps if you drink too much."

"Right, sorry." Haruto apologized as he put the cap back on the bottle before tossing it to the side.

"You apologize too much."

"Is there something wrong with apologizing?"

"It's a sign of weakness." Haruto stared at L-elf for a few second before shaking his head with a small chuckle.

"You're too bitter." Haruto commented in a friendly manner.

"You're too sweet." L-elf quickly responded not at all offended at Haruto's words.

They were true after all.

"I don't think I'm as sweet as I used to be." Haruto replied as he stood up, only to lose his balance again. He stumbled forward like earlier, only for L-elf's hand to wrap around his arm, keeping him from falling. "And you might not be as bitter."

"You should've enough healed by now." L-elf stated ignoring Haruto's comment.

"I don't know, you hit me pretty hard." Haruto said as he sat back on the ground. "Actually, me and Saki talked a little about it a few weeks ago. We think that our healing ability might be inconsistent when it comes to the time it takes heal injury from injury. What do you think?"

"I see, I assumed Saki Rukino noticed that fact as well." L-elf's comment earning a thoughtful look from Haruto.

"Why Saki?"

"Excuse me?"

"It seems, at least to me, that you seem to think more of Saki. Why's that?" Haruto's question was out of pure curiosity. It had nothing to do with jealousy at all.

"Because Saki Rukino has the most potential of all the Valvrave pilots." he simply answered.

"You're saying she's the best pilot out of the four of us?"

"No, you misunderstand." L-elf shook his head slowly with closed eyes. "When I say the most potential, I mean more than just piloting."

"More than piloting?"

"Saki Rukino has the potential to be the most well-rounded than anyone on this module."

Besides himself of course.

"You mean like you?"

"Yes."

"O-Oh." Haruto was just kidding when he compared Saki with L-elf, so he never expected L-elf to say it was possible. It wasn't that Haruto thought Saki wasn't capable, but the things L-elf did and was capable of doing almost made him seem inhuman; the irony of the thought wasn't lost on Haruto. So, to hear L-elf say Saki could be like him was a shock to say the least. "So, that means she'll be leading us pilots?"

"Yes and no." seeing the confusion still in his eyes, L-elf proceeded to explain. "As I told you before, Haruto, you will be the spearhead of this nation on the battlefield. You will lead in that sense while Saki Rukino will come to lead in the tactical sense."

"Ah." Haruto gave a few small nods of his head. "But, what will you do? We both know you're not the type to give up all your power and control."

"I'll lead from a strategic point."

"I see." he didn't.

Wasn't strategy and tactics the same thing?

At least, that's what he thought, but it seemed he was wrong.

Maybe he could ask Saki later.

"So, what makes Saki so different? We're all pretty determined, so what puts her apart from us?" while he knew what set Saki apart from the others as a person, he knew there was no way L-elf or anyone else knew that themselves. Those sides of her were shown only to him. So, that made him curious to what L-elf saw in her.

"For one, she has a natural ability to take in information quickly and a level head to keep her emotions in check, at least when it doesn't come to you." L-elf shot Haruto a blank look causing the young pilot to laugh sheepishly with a slight blush on his cheeks. The way L-elf said that made it seem like he was special to Saki, which was true.

Saki told him that on their date.

Suddenly, a feeling of guilt started well up in him when L-elf's words replayed in his mind.

What L-elf said, made it sound like he hindered Saki.

Made it sound like he was Saki's weakness.

Haruto quickly shook his head and tried to ignore the guilt.

He was getting better at that.

"Is that all?" Haruto spoke up getting back to his earlier question and his mind off his guilt.

Or at least he tried.

"There is one other thing that sets Saki Rukino apart from the others."

"And that is?"

"She's cold." was L-elf's short statement.

"Cold?"

What did he mean by that?

"There isn't much Saki Rukino won't do to accomplish her goals, that I can tell." the moment L-elf saw her, he noticed the cold look in her eyes. And it wasn't the aloof front she puts up for others. No, it was deeper than that. Something born from hurt and anger that turned into a ruthlessness towards those that would be considered enemies.

"Saki's not like that!" Haruto quickly defended, anger rising in him that he quickly calmed with a shake of his head. "I know her better than anyone else and I know she's not like that."

"Perhaps to you she's not," women were confusing like that, "but to those that stand in the way of her goal that girl has ice running through her veins. The question is, what is her goal?" Haruto knew that was directed at him for more than the fact that L-elf was talking to him.

What was Saki's goal?

He didn't know that did he?

No, she never told him it even when he asked. She would always say that it was a secret and she would tell him later.

Wait, wasn't that her motivation instead of her goal?

Weren't they two different things.

So, what was her goal then?

"I want to help you! I want to be the one who you rely on! Please, let me help!"

The words Saki determinedly shouted at him all those months ago suddenly rang through his head.

W-Was that her goal?

To support him.

He knew that was something she wanted to do but he never thought that was her goal, that would be conceited. But, ever since that time Saki was always, almost literally, beside him and supporting him.

So, was it really that farfetched to think that her goal was to support him?

Was that one of the reasons she became a pilot, forsaken her humanity?

Saki said at the time she became a pilot she wanted to be famous and while there might've been some truth to that Haruto believed that wasn't the only reason. If she became a pilot because of him, even partially, he felt happy and grateful that she was willing to go so far for him, but he also felt guilty over that possible fact. That possible realization brought up L-elf's earlier words about Saki. While he didn't want to believe Saki would do anything to accomplish her goals, forsaking your humanity is a pretty big something, whether it was for him or any other reason.

"What's in the past is in the past." L-elf spoke up, interrupting the swirling thoughts and emotions inside Haruto. "We can never change it. The only thing we can change is the future." Haruto stared at L-elf in shock for a few seconds before a smile made its way on his face.

"You're right." Haruto couldn't change what happened, but he could grow stronger. Stronger enough to protect everyone and . . . strong enough to carry a bit more of the load Saki was shouldering for him.

Of course, his renewed motivation didn't rid him of his guilt.

Nothing ever would.

"Let's continue." L-elf spoke earning a nod from Haruto before he tried to stand up, but just like before he ended stumbling forward.

"Still?" Haruto questioned in confusion and irritation.

"That will be enough for today. Once you're able to stand upright go back to your dorm and get some rest, we'll continue tomorrow." L-elf then turned on his heel and walked out of the Training Room in deep thought.

'Their regenerative ability is too inconsistent. We'll need to perform a few experiments to understand it better.' with that in mind, L-elf headed towards his room to get some rest himself.

He would dream of Lieselotte that night.

Along with snippets of a certain brown-haired girl.

"Ok, can you heal a little bit faster?" Haruto questioned himself as he slowly made his way through the school's halls, using the its walls to keep his balance. He was exhausted and wanted nothing more but lay down in his bed . . . next to Saki. Just the thought of laying on his soft bed with Saki cuddling next to him made him even more tired. Her soft breathing could relax him to sleep so easily.

He really wanted to get to his room.

Finally making it to his room, Haruto opened the door only to hear something other than the soft breathing of a sleeping Saki. He wasn't hearing the sound he was used to hearing when coming back from his personal training sessions with L-elf. No, what he was hearing sounded like labored breathing and . . . whimpering?

"Saki?" maybe the blow to his head from earlier had him hearing things.

"N-No." his eyebrow raised when he heard Saki speak in a hushed tone before her voice gradually grew louder. "D-Don't go. Don't leave me! Please, Haruto! PLEASE!" her voice was so loud and desperate it caused Haruto to freeze in shock.

It didn't take long for his eyes to adjust to the darkness of the room and take in the sight in front of him. The blanket was long kicked away revealing Saki curled up into a ball, shaking, with her hands gripping into the mattress so fiercely that it looked like she would rip into it any second. All that was accompanied with tears dripping down her shut eyes.

Haruto's heart ached at the sight.

"Haruto!" with that desperate shout, Haruto's body unfroze, and he was instantly by Saki's side.

"Saki! Saki, wake up!" shaking her by her shoulder, Haruto attempted to wake her up but to no avail. In fact her shaking became even more violent.

"No, Haruto! Please come back!" not knowing what to do, he just followed his instincts.

Haruto quickly laid beside Saki and wrapped her up in his arms. Her hands shifted from gripping the bed to gripping his chest, causing him to wince when he felt how hard she was gripping him. He nails were actually digging into his skin and drawing blood, but that just made Haruto even more worried. "Haruto! Haruto!"

"Shhhhh. It's me, I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere. I promised, remember?" Haruto did his best to sooth her with soft-spoken, comforting words along with rubbing a hand along her back, and slowly it began to work. In time her grip weakened, her shaking stilled, and her screams of his name became quiet mumbles.

Once she calmed down, Haruto let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

'What the hell was that?' Haruto thought with wide eyes.

So many questions were running through his mind at the moment.

Why was Saki having a nightmare?

Did she have them often?

Why was it so severe?

He could still hear Saki's voice pleading, screaming for him not to leave her. He couldn't but feel a pang of guilt despite having no intentions of breaking the promise he made to her in the movie theater. In fact, hearing how scared and broken she sounded with what seemed to be him leaving her in some fashion in her nightmare made Haruto more determined to keep his promise. That was the exact thing he feared would happen when he thought about the aftermath of breaking his promise.

He would die a hundred times before he did anything that would leave her in such a state.

Hearing and feeling Saki's breathing return to normal, Haruto began to roll towards the edge of the bed, only for Saki's arms to wrap around him in a vise grip.

"It's fine. It's fine. I'm not going anywhere." Haruto quickly reassured and rewrapped his arms around her when he heard her breathing becoming frantic again. "I just wanted to take these boots off." he quietly muttered the last part as he decided the only way to remove them was with his own feet.

Saki was definitely not letting him go anytime soon.

Shifting so he was laying on his back than his side (Saki, despite being asleep, also shifted with him, laying her head on his chest) Haruto kept his right arm around her while his left one covered her hand and give it a reassuring squeeze. Her hands that were gripping her forearms, keeping her hold on him tight, relaxed but still kept.

Seeing her relax once again, Haruto turned his attention towards the ceiling with a frown. It was obvious that Saki's nightmare was about him leaving her (he would have to be deaf not to notice that) but he couldn't understand why. He promised her he would always stay by her side, so he couldn't understand why she had that horrific nightmare.

It hurt him to hear Saki in so much pain.

It hurt a lot.

But, what also hurt was that it seemed that Saki didn't believe him.

If she did, she wouldn't have that nightmare, right?

Or maybe her nightmare stemmed from something different, something deeper.

But, what?

He had the knowledge of high school student so he couldn't think of a reason for Saki to be THAT scared of him leaving her, especially when he promised he wouldn't. All he could do is contemplate and eventually come up with nothing.

Well, that wasn't completely true.

He was at least able to come up with the realization that his head still hurt.

"How hard did L-elf hit me?" he quietly mumbled to himself as he moved the hand that was holding Saki's and placed it on his forehead as he closed his eyes.

"Mmmm." hearing a sleepy groan from Saki, Haruto opened his eyes and looked down at her to see her own slowly fluttering open.

"Saki?" hearing Haruto's voice, a smile made its way on Saki's face as she stretched her back, almost like a cat.

"Yes, my, little Haruto?" tilting her head up, Saki gave him a warm smile.

"Are you, ok?" hearing his concerned voice, as well as seeing his concerned look, Saki's smile turned into a confused frown.

"Of course, why wouldn't I be?"

"It's just . . . are you sure?" Haruto adopted his own confused look.

He knew she had a nightmare not too long ago. It definitely wasn't his imagination, he would never imagine Saki in so much pain. The thought of maybe his head injury (that still hadn't gone away yet) affected his mind enough to where it was playing tricks on him sprung up but he quickly discarded the idea.

What he saw happened, so why was Saki not telling him about it?

"I'm here with you, what else could I ask for?" Haruto couldn't help but blush at Saki's words that were accompanied by a cheerful smile.

"A-Alright, if you say so." maybe she was alright.

After all, he had his own nightmares time to time and he was fine.

For the most part.

So, why couldn't Saki be any different?

Especially, when she was such a strong girl.

But, at the same time...

"You know I don't break my promises, right?"

… he felt like he needed to remind Saki that he was there for her.

That he would always be there for her.

"Uh . . ." Saki trailed off with a confused look. "What? Why are you telling me this?" Saki couldn't help but be taken by surprise by his sudden comment.

It was just so random.

"I just, I don't know, felt like you should know that I meant it when I promised that I would never let you be alone again." Saki stared at Haruto for a few seconds before a slight chuckle escaped her lips.

"Well, duh." she softly spoke as she took one of his hands in hers. "Because Haruto is Haruto after all." she then brought her lips toward his hand and gently kissed his knuckles.

"R-Right. Just . . wanted you to know." Haruto said before a slight wince covered his features.

"What's wrong?" Saki questioned as she sat up, obviously noticing the flash of pain.

"N-Nothing. Head just hurts a little."

"That bastard hurt you didn't he?" Saki's once soft, sweet voice quickly took a dangerous tone and her eyes quickly matched said tone.

"W-What are you talking about?"

"She's cold."

"Please don't play dumb with me, Haruto." Saki's demeanor softened for a second before it reverted back. "I know you've been training with him and for you to still be hurt means he took it too far." her teeth ground together as she spoke.

"That girl has ice running through her veins."

'No! She's just concerned that's all.' quickly shaking L-elf's words out of his head, Haruto turned his attention back towards Saki.

"It's no big deal, I'm the one who told him to not hold back anyways. No pain no gain right?" technically he just agreed to it, but he wanted to calm Saki down as quick as possible. He definitely didn't like this side of her. He wanted to see the affectionate, childish Saki he's come to-

"But still, for you to not have healed yet means he took it way too far. I swear when I-"

"Saki, stop it." his voice wasn't loud nor was it angry, but it was firm and held no room for argument.

It wasn't a voice he used often.

Hell, it wasn't a voice he knew he had.

Hearing his voice, Saki couldn't but flinch in surprise and immediately shut up after letting out an "eep". She had never heard Haruto speak like that before. He sounded like . . . a leader. Overcoming her surprise, Saki smiled at the authoritativeness her love briefly showed.

"I need to get stronger," Haruto continued not noticing Saki's proud smile, "so I can protect everyone, that includes you. If I have to get hurt then that's a small price to pay. And- Why are you smiling?" Haruto questioned finally taking notice of the girls change.

"Did you hear your voice just now?"

"What?"

"It was strong, confident, and demanded to be heard." Haruto didn't respond and just looked at her with confusion evident on his face. He wasn't trying to sound anything like that, all he wanted was Saki to stop being so angry. He didn't even know he could sound like that. "It was kinda hot."

"R-Really?" he had an idea where this was going.

"Oh, yes." moving over to straddle him, Saki looked down at him with half lidded eyes before she slowly licked her lips. "So very much so." her hands found their way to his chest and began slowly roaming over his firm muscles.

"S-Stop." a blushing Haruto weakly protested. "I'm all sweaty."

"You are, are you?" Haruto thought she was actually going to sniff him when he seen her lower her head down towards his neck, but she didn't do that.

No, she licked him.

And it wasn't a small lick.

No, it started from base of his neck and ended towards the upper part of his jawbone, and it wasn't quick either. It was slow, with just the tip of her tongue, making Haruto shiver.

"Does your head still hurt?"

" . . . Yeah." Haruto gulped.

Judging by how her voice didn't change from its sexy tone, he knew she wasn't done with him.

"Then let me help you feel better." lowering herself once gain, Saki began kissing his neck, along with adding small licks in between. It didn't take long for her small kisses to turn into her sucking on his neck. It's not like they had to worry about hickeys since his skin would heal by the morning.

Haruto had to bite his lip to hold back his gasps. Long ago did he stop caring over the fact they weren't actually in a relationship despite what they were doing. The things she did to him simply felt too good to question. The gasps he was holding back escaped his lips when he felt Saki's lips move from his neck towards his chest.

He didn't even notice her take off his tank top.

"Do you like that?" her sensual voice spoke against his chest letting him feel the smirk she had on her face.

Haruto didn't answer instead he just gulped.

Apparently, that wasn't what Saki was looking for.

"I said," Saki stopped to place another kiss on his chest before continuing, "did-"

Another kiss.

"-you-"

Followed by another.

"-like-"

A fourth one.

"-that." and a final one to seal the deal.

"Yes!" he couldn't hold it back anymore.

Of course he loved it.

Her lips were so soft.

The feeling of them against his skin made him feel like he was going to go insane from pleasure. Unfortunately for him, his shout caused the pain in his head to spike forcing Saki to stop her "treatment" due to her concern that was easily visible on her face.

"Your head still hurts?"

"Y-Yeah." Haruto answered while placing a hand on his still aching head.

It didn't help.

"Poor baby." Saki reached her hands out and cradled Haruto's aching head into her chest. She then gently petted his hair before humming a soft tune. Haruto sat there with his head pressed against Saki's chest as his eyes slowly started drifting shut as he continued to listen to Saki's tune.

"Hey, Saki?" Haruto softly questioned.

"Yes?" her tone was just as soft as his as she responded.

"How'd you know I was training with L-elf?" she could help the small chuckle that escaped her lips.

"It wasn't that hard to figure out, Haruto. What else would you be doing with him?"

"Ah. Your smart." she could hear the drowsiness in his voice increase as they continued to talk. Hopefully he would go to sleep soon so he wouldn't have to deal with his aching head anymore.

"Of course I am." Saki had to fight the urge to flip her hair over her shoulder. "You're talking to the girl whose teachers used to tell her that she had genius potential if she just put in some actual effort." that was an actual fact, but Saki was never interested in school so her potential was never reached.

Yet at least.

"Wow, you're amazing."

"Yes, I am. Now go to sleep." to help along with that, Saki once again began humming. Haruto could immediately feel himself succumbing to unconsciousness as Saki restarted her melody.

She really did have an amazing voice even when she was just humming.

"Thanks," a yawn that made Saki giggle escaped his lips, "Saki."

"Anything for my, little Haruto." as Haruto went to sleep Saki didn't let him go, she just continued to hum her tune while cradling Haruto's head.

Yes, anything for her little Haruto.

Anything.

"Today we'll be forgoing your hand to hand combat training." L-elf started as he stared at the four Valvrave pilots standing in front of him. "As Haruto and Saki Rukino had noticed, there seems to be some inconsistencies with your healing abilities. It goes without saying that knowing the parameters of that ability could prove to be vital in the future. So, to learn more about your regenerative powers we'll be doing a few experiments." with all that said, which was a mouthful for someone like L-elf, he turned on his heel and walked out of the Training Room.

The Valvrave pilots gave each other a confused look before quickly following after him. They walked through the metallic walls of the modules lower levels until after a few turns came towards the room Mr. Kibukawa was waiting in.

"So, what are these 'experiments' you were talking about?" Haruto warily questioned. While he didn't mind learning about their healing ability, he didn't like the way "experiments" sounded.

"It better not be anything over the top." Saki quickly followed up, and while her voice wasn't as threatening sounding like the night before, there was definitely steel in her words. "We're not lab rats." despite the glare she was giving, Mr. Kibukawa couldn't help but laugh. Saki wasn't surprised, she always knew he was eccentric

"Oh, no, it's nothing like that." he quickly explained. "The tests are quite simple, if a little painful."

"What do you mean by that?" Kyuma questioned.

To answer his question, L-elf pulled out a combat knife from . . . his sleeve?

"Do you always carry knives with you?" Haruto asked with an incredulous look.

"Yes."

"Of course you do." Haruto sighed before his attention was once again on the knife. "Wait! What the heck are you going to do with that?!" an image of L-elf mercilessly plunging a knife through his heart flickered through his mind causing him to cringe. Haruto did NOT want to experience that again, and he definitely didn't want the others to go through that either.

Especially Saki.

"Calm yourself." L-elf advised as he stepped forward. "It's nothing to the degree you're thinking of. Stick out hands."

"To explain," Mr. Kibukawa began, "we're going to place a cut on each one of your hands. One will be light and the other will be deeper, after that I'll time how long it takes for your wounds to heal."

"What the fuck?!" Raizo shouted. "You wanna cut us!? Fuck that, I'm no emo!"

"Oh?" Saki spoke up with a smirk on her face. "Is 'thunder' scared of getting hurt? Not much of a man, are you?"

'There they go again.' Haruto and Kyuma both inwardly sighed as the same thought ran through the head. As if knowing the other was thinking the same thing, they glanced at each before smirking.

Just like brother and sister.

"The hell you say?!" Raizo glared down at her. "I ain't scared of anything! Bring those stupid tests!"

'What an idiot.' Saki thought. It was so easy to get him to do things, all she had to do was challenge him.

As much as Saki hated the idea of being cut, let alone Haruto being cut, she knew what the two were doing was necessary. They needed to know as much as possible about their healing ability. From if the degree of the injury influenced the rate it regenerated, to if each pilot regenerated at their own pace. There was even the possibility that different parts of their anatomy healed faster than the others.

Too many questions that needed to be answered.

So, she, along with the others, stuck out their hands.

L-elf didn't waste anytime in grabbing the first hand and cutting into the skin of the palm. In the next minute, all four Valvrave pilots had cuts on their palms, the left ones held the light cuts while the right palms held the deeper ones. As L-elf cut into them, Mr. Kibukawa started a timer on a laptop for each cut. He also adjusted the security camera in the room to focus on their hands so he could catalog the results more thoroughly.

"I suggest you all sit down." L-elf pointed towards a row of seats to the side. The four did what they were told while trying to ignore the pain in their hands. "Use those towels to wipe your hands so we can have a better view of your wounds." again doing as they were told, the four used the towels that were placed under the chairs.

"How long is this gonna freaking take?" Raizo questioned already getting bored from the waiting.

"That's kinda the reason we're here idiot."

"Screw you idol girl!"

"Don't forget actress." Saki added causing Raizo to growl.

"You really like messing with him, don't you?" Haruto questioned as he stared down at the wounds on his hands.

"~Maybe~."

"You heard her, Raizo-"

"It's thunder!"

"-the more you react the more she's gonna mess with you." Kyuma continued ignoring Raizo's usual protest over the use of his real name.

"Whatever." Raizo grumbled as he crossed his arms and looked away.

"Keep your hands visible for the cameras." Mr. Kibukawa said.

"Yeah, yeah."

It would take about five minutes for the light cuts to heal, give or take a few seconds differential between the four pilots. For the deeper cuts, which wasn't all that deep, it took around ten minutes, again a few seconds between each pilot.

After the first trial they did the same test once again. Just like before the wounds of the pilots healed around the same speed with only a few seconds differing between them. But, unlike the first time the light cut took about seven and a half minutes while the deeper cut took a little over fourteen minutes to heal.

They continued three more times.

A little over six minutes for the light cut and a little under twenty minutes for the deeper wound.

That was the third try.

The fourth test held similar results to second one.

Shallow cut took about eight minutes and thirteen for the deep one.

The last try was nine minutes for the shallow wound and eleven minutes for the deep one.

"Well, it seems Haruto and Saki's observation was correct." Mr. Kibukawa commented as typed some notes into the laptop. "Your healing ability, as you all saw, is very much inconsistent. That begs the question of how much would a fatal wound take to heal."

"So, now what?" Haruto questioned curious about whether they would conduct more experiments or not. L-elf opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by Mr. Kibukawa who quickly responded to Haruto's question.

"Now you four can go enjoy the rest of your day. That was enough for today, I doubt getting cut over and over again could be too enjoyable."

"Uh, ok, but is that really enough to learn anything about our healing ability?" Haruto, of course, didn't like being cut but getting some answers about their regenerating ability did seem pretty important.

"It's enough for now. If and when I need your participation again I'll call for you." Mr. Kibukawa waved them off with a hand.

"If you say so." Haruto shrugged before turning towards his fellow pilots. "I guess we can go." with that said, he along the other three left the room leaving the two soldiers by themselves.

"I know what you were going to do." Takumi Kibukawa spoke up leveling L-elf with a firm look. "Saki was right, they're not lab rats."

"Oh?" L-elf's eyebrow raised. "So what were they when they were being prepped for being turned into what they now are?" Takumi Kibukawa's eyes narrowed but L-elf simply returned his stare with his usual stoic look. A few seconds passed before a sigh escaped Takumi Kibukawa's lips.

"All the more reason to hold some restraint in what we do to them."

"Trying to make up for past regrets?"

"Is there anything wrong with that?"

"Whether or not it's wrong or right is irrelevant." L-elf replied. "We need to learn all we can about what they've become and the limit of their abilities."

"I'm aware." Takumi Kibukawa raked his hands through his hair. "Just let me worry about that, I'll figure out how to get the answers you want without turning them into lab rats." L-elf regarded the man before him for a few moments before relenting.

"Very well." turning, L-elf walked out of the room and down the hall.

Results were all that mattered to L-elf, and if Takumi Kibukawa could get those then the method he used didn't matter.

Besides, he had his own problems.

"L-elf!" and there she was.

Turning his head to the hallway to his left, L-elf was greeted with the sight of a very confusing girl, but then again all girls were confusing. He had come to accept that as a simple fact of the world. Similar as to how humans needed oxygen to survive. It was something that couldn't be disputed without having your intelligence questioned.

"Shoko Sashinami." he responded as the running girl slowed to a stop in front of him, a plastic container in hand. For a reason unknown to him, which didn't happen very often, the girl pursed her lips and gave him a disapproving look.

He didn't understand.

He literally said two words to her and her normal energetic attitude quickly simmered.

As he thought before, the opposite sex was confusing.

"Why are you here?" with that question the girls expression quickly brightened up, thus for a second time within seconds, proving L-elf's point.

"Because I made a new batch of pastries and wanted you to test them out." she replied with a cheerful smile as she opened up the container to reveal its contents.

"Why me? Why not one of your friends?"

"Huh?" blinking Shoko gave a confused look before responding. "Uhhhh . . . Because you're the toughest critic I could find, so if you accepted my treats then everyone else would." it took her a few seconds but she was finally able to come up with an answer.

But, that wasn't really the reason.

Shoko really didn't know what the reason was.

She simply finished the batch of pastries and immediately went to him.

Strange.

"Is that so." L-elf peered into the container and couldn't hold back the look of disgust that made its way onto his face. The pastries were green and the shape of them made them look like-

"Don't make that face! They're really good, I swear!"

"Pardon me if I beg to differ." L-elf gave her a blank, a more than usual, stare. "But, they don't look very appetizing."

"Food is all about taste not looks!" she pointed a finger in his face as she yelled her believes as a "chef". "Don't judge food with such a superficial attitude! Now eat!"

Now L-elf was a soldier among soldiers. His speed and reflexes were nearly impossible to match even among the best soldiers, and yet a simple, she was really anything but, girl was able to bypass all his years of grueling training and shove one of her creations into his mouth.

"Now chew." deciding that obeying the girl was better than choking, he was always a logical thinker, L-elf chewed the pastry before swallowing. "Soooooo, how was it? Good right?" he was her toughest critic but hopefully she would get a passing grade.

"I assume you once again forgone the value of nutrition and only concerned yourself with taste."

Why wasn't she surprised?

But, then a thought occurred to her, and her deadpanned expression quickly turned happy and proud.

"That means you like it, doesn't it?" placing her hands on her hips, Shoko puffed her chest out with pride.

"It means you should focus on necessity then luxuries when it comes to rations." L-elf answered before continuing to his destination.

"Yeah yeah yeah. Food needs to be good for you, whatever." Shoko absent mindedly dismissed his suggestion while following right behind him. "But, how's the taste?"

"The taste is irrelevant. What matters is the nutritional value."

"Geez, you really don't stop with that do you?" she replied with a roll of her eyes. "What are you a doctor?"

"No."

"I was being sarcastic." her eyes rolled yet again.

"Were you?" immediately Shoko halted, looking at the retreating back of L-elf with an astonished look before a wide smile adorned her face.

"Was that a joke?" she questioned as she caught up to him.

"No."

"~I think it was~."

"Then you think wrong."

"I don't think so." Shoko continued to press until getting back to the reason she came to him. "But anyways, you never said how they tasted."

"..."

"You were hoping I forgot didn't you?" her grin only widened seeing as she foiled one of L-elf's "plots". "Well, I didn't, now answer." despite her voice being cheerful it held no room for disagreement.

"You're not going to relent unless I give you an answer, will you?"

"Exactly." and much to her enjoyment, L-elf actually sighed.

"The taste was . . ." he had to halt his movement when the girl rounded on him and stopped right in front of him.

"Great? Delicious? Outstanding?" with each word Shoko Sashinami leaned disturbingly close to his face.

"Normally, I would break a number of bones if someone got so close to me." despite what he said, L-elf's tone was bordering on deadpan.

"Well, I'm not normal."

"No, you're not." L-elf responded before slipping past her and down the hall.

"Hey! I take offense to that!" she was quick to follow after. "And you still didn't give me your opinion."

"You don't give up do you?"

"Nope. Now will you answer the question already? It's like pulling out teeth with you."

"If I answer will you leave me alone?" L-elf stopped in front of a door and turned towards the girl.

"~Maybe~." it didn't take a genius to know that was the best answer he was going to get.

"It was . . . very good." Shoko could feel her face hurt with the smile she was giving. She could also feel her cheeks warming up by the compliment. Before she could respond, the door L-elf was standing before slid shut.

It went without saying that the former Dorssia soldier was no longer standing before her. He was already sitting at the commanders seat in the Control Room typing away at the controls.

"I recall you saying you would leave me alone if I answered your question." hearing the door opening, L-elf couldn't help but speak.

"I said I might leave you alone. I never said I would." Shoko stated with a wag of her index finger. L-elf stared her down for a few seconds before averting his attention back to the main screen. "So, what are doing now, Mr. Workaholic?"

"Checking for something." soon the screen was showing different parts of space before switching to another and then another. Seeing that, Shoko couldn't help but become confused.

What the heck was he doing?

"What the heck are you doing?"

"Following my gut."

"Your gut?" her head tilted to the side with a curious look on her face. "Does your stomach hurt? I'm pretty sure I didn't put anything that would upset someone's stomach in the pastries. Your not lactose intolerant are you?" he had to resist the urge to roll his eyes.

"It was a figure of speech. A very poor one on my part."

"Oh . . . What is your gut telling you?"

"That's what I plan on finding out."

.

.

.

.

"How long is this going to take?" Shoko questioned after five minutes of silence.

That was the longest she's ever sat still before.

"I'm looking randomly though space, it could take hours." of course the was the possibility of him not finding anything at all, but he didn't voice it. The image of always being right was important when it came to having the students follow his plans without question.

After all, who would question the person who was always right?

"How boring."

"No one is keeping you here against your will, you can leave anytime you wish."

"You don't find being here all by yourself lonely?"

"No." Shoko pursed her lips at his quick response.

"Well, I think you do." she mumbled under her voice before eating one of her pastries.

The conversation died there, letting L-elf focus his complete undivided attention at the main monitor. In all honesty, L-elf never liked the idea of following one's gut or anything of the sort. There was no logic in listening to a "feeling", but Cain thought otherwise. While that man did believe that thinking logically was key he also conceded that there were times that logic couldn't explain all and sometimes had to be ignored.

Fate.

L-elf tried to refute the claim (not out loud of course, he always kept his thoughts to himself when with Cain) but finding himself in his current situation, he couldn't help but wonder otherwise. After all, what else could he call having exactly what he needed to carry out his goals practically placed on his lap. It wasn't a perfect situation but more than enough for him to work with, and he literally walked right into it to top it off.

He also seriously doubted that it wasn't just a coincidence that the girl sitting to his side, spinning around in her swivel chair, reminded him of Lieselotte. Of course, he only met the princess on two occasions equaling to less than an hour of being in each others presence, both not the best of ways to getting to know someone. But, in that short time L-elf was able to ascertain two traits about the princess that the Prime Minster of New JIOR shared.

And that's why she caught his interest.

If fate truly was real L-elf couldn't help but wonder if it had some sort of sick sense of humor, not that he knew much of sense of humors.

It was a constant of taking and giving when it came to his life, so his uncertainty was validated.

Did it have something out for him or not?

Was it trying to help him or hinder him?

And that was why L-elf hated the illogical such as fate. There was no way to get answers, just simply go with the flow. He preferred to dictate where he went not "go with the flow".

Deciding that he wanted to get his mind of the subject, L-elf spoke.

"Tell me what you know of the coordinating system used in space compared to the geographical coordinating system used on earth."

"Coordinating system?"

"Longitude and latitude." L-elf supplied the confused girl with a hint.

"Oh, right . . . . . A geographic coordinate system is a coordinate system that enables every location on the Earth to be specified by a set of numbers or letters. The coordinates are often chosen such that one of the numbers represents vertical position, and two or three of the numbers represent horizontal position. A common choice of coordinates is latitude, longitude and elevation." Shoko raddled off after a few seconds of silence.

"Impressive, if you hadn't used your phone to look up the answer."

"Teehee." she shamelessly giggled earning a sigh from L-elf. "You sighed again."

Shoko two.

L-elf zero.

Ignoring her childish game, L-elf brought up a map of the solar system. On the map's center was the sun with multiple circles expanding out in size, the circles were the orbit of the planets of course. The map of the solar system then shrunk to half of the screens size allowing a map of the earth, the only difference was that lines were running through the map. The lines that went horizontal were straight, while the vertical lines curved slightly more and more as they moved away from the sole straight vertical line in the center.

"As you can most likely tell, that is the map of the Earth."

"Are those lines longitude and latitude?"

"Yes."

"Which is which?" Shoko questioned as she tilted her head. "Latitude is . . . ."

"East and west."

"Which means longitude is north and south."

"How perceptive."

"Hehe. Thanks . . . . Wait a second-"

"Now that you have seen the Earth's geographical coordinating system," L-elf began cutting off the girl, "how would you say it would translate into space?" L-elf couldn't honestly fathom why he was continuing to initiate conversations with the girl. It was obvious she would eventually strike up a conversation herself, she was like a ball of energy, so if in fact he actually wanted to talk to her, something he himself wasn't sure of, then he simply needed to wait.

Yet, he didn't.

"Hmmm, wouldn't it be the same?" Shoko answered as she stood up and walked to the main monitor. "Like the sun being the place where these two lines cross at zero."

"No, they use a far different system when it comes to space." L-elf began. "First of all, the sun is used as a "north pole" of sorts. Do you understand what that means?"

"Of course, I'm not an idiot!" how rude, she may not have been as smart as he was but she knew what he meant. "If you were to get a space compass, if they have those, then it would point towards the sun." she finished before crossing her arms and looking away with a huff.

"Correct." L-elf replied ignoring her childish act of annoyance before moving on to the next point of his explanation. "Unlike the coordinating system used on earth, space, specifically our solar system, is sectioned off in rings.

"Rings? You mean the ones on the screen?" Shoko questioned as she pointed towards the screen.

"Exactly." she earned a slight nod from the former Dorssia soldier. "Those are the orbital routes of the planets or ellipses. As you see, the first ring belongs to the Sun."

"~Not blind either~."

"The area between the Sun and Mercury's ellipse is classified as the sun ring. Between the ellipses of Mercury and Venus is the Mercury ring. I assume you understand the concept?"

"I told you I'm not an idiot." L-elf had to actually stifle a chuckle at the girl's pouting face.

"Then explain."

"Yes, yes." Shoko rolled her eyes before answering. "Basically, every time you pass over a planet's ellipse you're in their ring, as long as you're going in the direction away from the sun of course. Space south?"

Is that what they would call it, or just south?

She never got her answer.

"Very good." L-elf complimented before he moved on. "Each ring is separated into sectors ranging from a to z." on the screen lines appeared running through the rings so twenty-six squares appeared in each ring.

"Those sectors are then divided into sub sectors." the screen quickly zoomed in on one sector before a grid pattern was placed in the sector. "There are one hundred sub sectors in each sector."

"Wait a second." L-elf had to hold back a smile, she noticed what he left out. "Isn't that all two-dimensional? You can also go up and down and space too, so what about that?"

"Very good, you have eyes."

"Hey!"

"Vertical movement is defined in negative and positive depth." finding himself amused with the girl's reaction, L-elf posed a question he knew would irritate her. "Can you figure out which direction is positive and negative?"

"You're doing this on purpose aren't you?" Shoko frowned at him with crossed arms.

"I'll take that as a no."

"It's not!" a red-faced Shoko shouted. "Positive is up and negative is down."

"A wise assumption." L-elf replied. "Unfortunately, it was wrong."

"Wha?" Shoko stared at him with her mouth hung open, that is until she saw it. It was small and not very noticeable but it was there.

L-elf was smirking.

He was actually smirking.

What should she do?

Point it out?

Tease him?

Take a picture of it as proof it actually happened?

But if she did any of those things she was sure his smirk would disappear, never to be seen again. So, Shoko decided to rest her chin in her palm and admire the rare sight.

Half a second later it disappeared.

'Awww man.' she should've taken a picture.

Oh well, at least she got to see it.

She wondered if that's how people felt when they saw an eclipse or comet.

"Sooooo," Shoko began, "I was right, right?" with all his self-control L-elf had to hold back his laughter.

'This girl is dangerous.' there was no way around it.

Shoko Sashinami wasn't like anything he had ever dealt with. She wasn't a problem he could outsmart or simply kill. She wasn't even an enemy. She was nothing more than a naïve, caring girl who was bringing emotions to the surface that he tried very hard to bury.

He knew all that, and yet...

"Jupiter ring, Sector G, Sub sector twelve."

… he couldn't help himself.

"Huh?"

"Find it." L-elf motioned from the panel in front of her towards the main monitor before turning on the personal monitor of the chair he sat at.

"Oh!" realizing what he meant, Shoko quickly got to typing on the console in front of her, in an effort to find the coordinates he gave her. While she was doing that, L-elf continued what he was doing earlier and randomly searching through the vastness of space.

He felt like an fool doing it, but as much as he despised Cain, he was usually, always, right. So, L-elf continued to follow the illogical feeling of his "gut".

"Found it!" turning his head towards the beaming girl, L-elf saw that indeed she found the coordinates.

"Very good." her smile brightened. "Earth ring, Sector L, Sub sector sixty-four."

"Yes sir!" giving a mock salute, Shoko went to work.

The two really made an odd sight together.

And yet, they seemed to fit.

A/N: And done.

I was actually gonna cut the spy arc, I guess you can call it, in two parts but I'll try doing three. After this arc things will start picking up from a plot stand point and my updates will probably slow down. I really want to get back to my Natsu x Erza story and also my Itachi x Black Rock Shooter fic which might also include a harem for Itachi. That's still up in the air.

Anyways, this chapter had L-elf mention a side of Saki, Haruto's never seen before. We'll see that side of her but she'll do her best to keep Haruto from seeing it. I think I said it before but Saki will not be perfect or all smiles in this fic. She'll have a dark side kind of like Lelouch. He had good intentions but man did he kill a lot of people. Like with Dalton, shady. Badass but shady. Had him betray Cornelia and before he could figure out what was going on Lelouch was like thank Dalton and then blam, dead.

Shoko is also worming her way into L-elf's slowly but surely. I figured I'm almost 100,000 words into this I should get going on those two a little. And the only way I can see L-elf talking so much is if he's explaining or teaching Shoko. He's also doing it so her listening to him and learning from him will become a habit for the future.

Also I made a space coordinating system, which I stuck on for a minute. Not really sure why I made it, it's not that relevant at the moment but I wanted to do it.

I also showed that the pilots healing abilities are inconsistent and the head heals slower than the rest of the body.

Normally I would reply to reviews but I'm tired right so maybe next time.

But I will say this, I did not see Claire being Nina Viento. Fuck. I totally wanted Kal-El to get revenge but now that I know it's Claire, I feel like we're in for another season of tragic romance stories. Last season it was Valvrave and White Album 2 (totally shipped Kitahara and Touma, fuck Setsuna) and now we possibly have Buddy Complex and TOARU HIKUUSHI E NO KOIUTA. Not looking forward to this.
