Hello to everyone reading this I am sorry for the long break I know I have been gone for a month I had a competition at school and was staying every day after school. I am going to try and post 1 every other day or maybe everyday so just check back and you'll see them. SYOT is closed and now they will be in the arena thanks.
I woke up to the sound of the 3 note whistle from last year's tribute. It was loud and annoying. I got in the clothes they left me a dark green cotton t-shirt with black pants. They also left me black socks and some heavy black boots. I think it's going to be our arena outfit. I walked out and stuffed myself full of food but not too much. After finishing we were led down the elevator and out the front door heavily guarded. There was an armed guard on each side of me holding my arms. There were people behind metal gates cheering and holding posters of their favorite tribute. I saw someone holding my poster with hearts around it. I just kept looking forward. They had skipped the interviews this year because of what happened last time. Last year they were used to set up a plot to allow two victors to leave the arena. They just had us fill out a sheet about our personality and they broadcasted them. We were led into a grey building where we were seated in a row of hard chairs. They called us up one by one to get our trackers. They inserted a glowing metal thing into my arm. It stung a little at first but that was all. Then we were divided by arena. I hugged my brother with tears streaming down my face. "I'll see you in the other arena" I said. "but-" he said. I cut him off "no buts try your hardest I'll see you in the next arena". We were separated by peacekeepers and put in hover crafts. We were strapped into hard metal seats. The hovercraft ride took almost 3 hours. We were then led out one by one and taken by our stylists into the tunnels beneath the arena. My stylist handed me a long sleve green shirt just like the short sleeve one I was wearing. I also was given a white no sleeve shirt under neat. Next I got black pant that were slightly baggy and were thick. I was allowed to keep my think soled, heavy black boots. Lastly I was given a thick hooded jacket that was 2 sizes too big. My stylist loaded my into my tube and waved goodbye. I heard a computer voice and the floor began to rise. I shut my eyes tight until I felt cool air. I opened them and saw a large screen counting down from 120. I looked around it was a plain grassy environment with a forest surrounding us. I looked to the cornucopia. Good stuff. Next to me was Madge she pointed to the cornucopia and I nodded. Troy from across the arena looked to me and pointed towards the cornucopia then to the forest behind him. I nodded and then the buzzer went off. It then became a blur. I ran for the stuff in the back. I grabbed a scythe and the strap for it. A girl with a dagger was coming for the knives I was holding. I slashed her across the chest and troy stabbed her. I grabbed a black duffle bag and a blue backpack and ran. A boy was chasing after me I think it was the one from one. I was just about to slash him with my scythe when troy stabbed him. Me and troy ran into the woods with Madge trailing close behind us. She had a large backpack and a sword. Troy had a duel-trident like the one from training and a medium blue bag. We continued running until I screamed as I slipped down a hill. I fell over stick and bushes until I caught myself half way down. Madge and troy slid down to me and stopped. "We have to keep going they aren't far behind they heard your scream." We continued running till we got to the bottom to the hill. There was a small stream at the base. We continued running through the woods until we got to a small clearing and we couldn't hear cannons anymore or the screams from the cornucopia. I unzipped my duffle bag and pulled out a small first aid kit, a canteen, a bag of purifying tablets, a sleeping bag, and a knife. I opened the backpack and took out a jacket, dried meat, a water skin, and a box of matches. Madge had a water skin, iodine, a few feet of rope, and some socks. Troy had dried food, a pan, a blanket, and a lighter. The sun was still in the sky so we continued walking forward into the woods. We eventually found a stream and I gave troy my water skin. We filled up our water skins and bottles. We added the tablets first we would use the iodine later. We walked until the sun was going down. We were in an area of tightly packed trees. We didn't eat anything but we drank a little. I slumped down behind a bush in my sleeping bag. Troy went behind a large tree and sat on his blanket. Madge climbed a tree. "katniss taught me how" she said. She tied herself to the tree and put on the jacket I gave her. Then they began playing the panem anthem and the sun was down. The top of the arena showed who was dead. There was the boy from district 1 calix that we killed. The boy from 6, Martian. Then a few girls from districts 8,9,10. I had killed the one from 10. I slept with my hand curled around my scythe, Waiting for my shift. Troy took the first watch.
