so! I made another chapter! just a warning my chapters tend to be quite short because of how impatient I am. I mean, I wanted to upload this when it was 600 words. Taylor. stahp being stoopid.
okay, now, a thing I've noticed is that its quite hard to get reviews unless your story is so terrible people are like 'da fuq. were you high when you wrote this?', so angsty people are like 'feeeeell. so many FEELS.' or quite frankly, porn. like, your all a bunch of perverts XD (joking of course). so I get proud if I get more than one review each chappy, you know?
of course thats nothhiinng todo with the story I just wanted something to write about cause i'm in science and soooo bored. so i'm glad nobody was that mad at me :3 I was like 'woh this is the most popular responce i got to any of my first chapter of any story and I just ABANDONED IT? WHAT THE HECK TAYLOR?'. another annoying thing i did- upploaded this to the wrong account at first *facepalm* yeah well.
so yeah. sorry. have fun reading
Dear diary
Oh my god oh god oh god no no nonono.
Eh-em. I think I should explain. This shit always happens, my mother finds me possible suitors and I'm like 'no, I don't like her' and then I don't have to get married. But this time? Oh how wrong it went. . It was Lucy; I couldn't have said I didn't like her, could I? I mean, if I have to get married I guess she's the best chance I have of having a…' happily ever after'. But that wasn't actually why I agreed to having dates with her until we settled the marriage . That would be too simple
It was him! The pink haired guy, the servant, Natsu. He made me say it. Okay… he didn't march over to me and threaten me, but just looking at how hopeful he was that his master was going to get married I couldn't help it. My mother stopped and asked me "so, Gray? Do you like her?" and , staring right into those puppy dog eyes, I said "she's amazing."
Wow.
I am a dick.
Lucy. Oh you should have seen the smile she gave me when I went and screwed myself and said that. And there I was not even talking about her. I was talking about him, the pink head. What was I thinking? Because he's her servant marrying her would let me see him more? No. He won't pay attention to me. unless Lucy asks him to, which could happen… I suppose. But no, I was thinking illogically and I swear I am like a teenage girl right now. Is that why I am how I am? I have the hormones of a teenage girl.
Right, Gray, focus.
I feel so guilty right now. I like her, yes. She's pretty, yes, beautiful even. And yes! She is amazing. But I don't want to marry her, or date her. I think Loke would rather do that.
Speaking of Loke, he is trying to get a look at what I'm writing at the moment, and this has resulted in me having to literally walk round writing. I'll have to find a good hiding place for this thing or he's going to read it and then… nothing, cause I'll be dead.
Sddddddrj a LOKE FOR GODS SAKE STOP.
Natsu was beaming. Lucy was finally getting married. This meant that he had someone to talk to when she was off doing her make-up, or getting a dress fitted, or having a tea date with Erza Scarlet. The prince didn't seem half bad, either. Even if he was the prince of the ice kingdom. He had a warm servant, so they should get along, right? He thought as he dragged a brush through Lucy's blond, silky hair.
Lucy was smiling to, somehow not as much as Natsu, but she was happy non the less.
"So, you two were childhood friends, right?" Natsu asked in whole hearted curiosity. He had wondered since he saw the picture of the two holding hands while making snow angels.
"yeah," she hummed "we stopped hanging out though… I'm not sure why, he just started acting secretive and stopped coming over, I think that was about the time we both got our first butlers,"
Natsu blinks "so I already know him?"
"yup, but that was back when you were all shy and hiding in your scalf, you wont remember him," she passes him a ribbon so he could weave in into her hair "but he will probally remember you,"
a nod on Natsu's behalf "mhm… so… I'm not the reason he stopped coming round am I?"
"I doubt it, he did try to talk to you a lot though,"
"He better not hurt you…"
"I don't think he will. And if he does he'll be on his knees begging for forgiveness,"
"why'd ya think he stopped coming round then?"
"that's what I'm going to find out'"
Natsu laughed, knowing that's what she would do. Lucy was very stubborn, if she wanted to know something she will get it one way or another. But then he furrowed his eyebrows, wondering what kind of reason would justify never meeting up with your best friend? He tried to think but he couldn't put his finger on it.
Little did he know.
"I'm just gonna take a look around, if that's okay luce,"
"Loke! You are NOT reading my diary!" Gray shouts, clutching his small book tightly to his chest with an annoyed pout.
Loke loomed over him, smirking, with his hand out as if waiting for Gray to give it to him "oh. I am, and if you don't give it to me know I will find it while you're sleeping."
With a cringe Gray snapped back "Hell no!"
"I know your hiding something from me and this is my chance to find out!"
The bickering had been ongoing for longer than an hour now, Gray staying stubborn as he always is.
"Crap! Loke you idiot you made me miss violin practice!"
"ehhh? If you would have just GIVE ME the bloody DIARY none of this would have happened," both the boys looked around the now rubbish tip of a room. Gray considered fighting back, but rather grabbed his violin and sprinted out the room, diary still in hand.
It was a five minute run with consistent echoing footsteps abusing his ears, his arms where almost falling off by the time he came to a stop in a sweating, panting mess. "oh damn I really need to work out,"
He went to enter the room, but stopped when he heard music flowing. He definitely had practice today, to how come it wasn't him playing..? With a shake of the head he cleared it and he walked in
"oh! It's you…?"
"Natsu? I mean… eh-em, hello," Gray said awkwardly.
"Hi, your majesty," a slight pause while he furrowed his eyebrows "you… know me? well, my name?"
"you can play the violin?" changing the subject quickly and awkwardly.
"oh. Yeah. Sorry, I know this was your lesson but I was bored so…"
"where's Lucy?"
Natsu blinked "she lets me have free time sometimes if you're wondering…"
"no, no I'm just making small talk," Gray sat down, violin in hand beside him, the smallest tint of pink on his cheeks "I'm not like my mother, I mean, my butler Loke just tackled me for my diary so I wouldn't be complaining that you weren't actually in her acquaintance… oh, yeah I better actually hide my diary,"
He glances around before he spots a perfect hiding spot, behind a picture hung up on the wall, a painting of Gray, Ultear and Lyon in the arms of their past father. He lifts the painting and finds a ledge, he brings a finger to his lips and looks at Natsu "shhh…" and then he hides the diary. "you're not gonna come read this in your spare time are you? Cause I've got some HUGE secrets in there," he laughs sarcastically.
"oh, um no! no, I can't, as much as I want to that will be a betrayal to Lucy and her new found fiancé!" Natsu reply's awkwardly "urmm… What are your huge secrets?"
Gray collapses back into his seat, raises his violin so it's ledged under his chin, and begins playing loudly with a smirk. Natsu face drops, 'well, that didn't work' he thought as he replicated Grays actions and played the same song. The notes collided in a beautiful harmony, once a song made to imitate war and violence suddenly sounded like the most calm and romantic song ever played. Gray had the slightest pink tint running cross his cheeks and nose.
And then Loke walked in, doing a slight sway and dance, humming along "Gray, I hate to tell you this but he is like… 10 times better than you,"
Gray ignored him and played louder, Natsu blinked and did the same.
"where did you put your diary…?" he glanced at Natsu "hey servant boy, where'd he put it? And you better tell me cause I'm your master,"
Gray laughed "are you fuck,"
Natsu wasn't going to tell him anyway, if he was going to tell anyone it would be Lucy, and that was only at her request. He felt close to Gray already, probably because they apparently already knew each other when Natsu was shy and fragile, and the fact that he still talked to him after all that time he must have ignored the prince too.
He felt a slight pang of regret in his heart. He. Ignored. A prince.
Wow Natsu great going, he thought to his self, keeping his eyes closed and carried on playing even though Gray had stopped. He could hear Gray and who-ever-the-other-one-was fighting in laughter.
"Natsu, the diary isn't in here is it?"
"nope," Natsu replied trying to stay focused so he could finish the song.
"told you so~" Gray sang in a laugh.
"oh shut it 'your majesty', what, have you replaced me with him? I'm hurt Gray, I thought you loved me!"
Gray laughed loudly "heh, sure, he'd make a better butler than you any day, and I'm sorry Loke, its not you, it's me,"
"damn right it is,"
And in all this mess, nobody even noticed that the teacher hadn't even turned up.
me:I think you should know that the teacher isn't harmed in anyway, she's just lazy
Gray: she hardly ever turns up
me:it's shocking!
Natsu:oh hai guyyysss, why am I a butler in this?
me: better than being homeless
Natsu: in your next fanfict I have to be the rich one or something...
me: your the rich one in hide'n'seek.
Natsu: which you've stopped updating
me:IM LAZY OKAY.
