"Un dieu...What was that?" Remy mumbled rushing to Sam. "Exhaustion..." Logan pointed out. "The kid's got stuff. Escaped the MRD by blasting himself all the way from Bayville airport to here..." "Bayville Airport...That's an hour away from here...By car..." Greer said surprised as she picked Sam up ready to drop him off at the infirmary, "He will do great things... If I trained him, I'll make a great man out of him...I..." Greer rolled her eyes. "Why don't you make a great man out of yourself... by dropping him off at the infirmary..." Greer suggested sarcastically dropping Sam into Jonathan's arm. Jonathan blinked in surprise before smiling and walking away towards the infirmary.
"Greer we need in my office now!" the professor's voice rang loudly in Greer's head. Greer groaned "what time is it?" she asked herself. Her clock showed 1 a.m. "mmmmm" Greer moaned lowering her head back to the pillow. "Greer..." Greer rolled put of her bed. "Coming..." she mumbled out loud. Rinsing her face and tidying up her hair a bit Greer stumbled out of her bedroom, shivering a little from the cold.
"What's up Professor?" she asked yawning as she entered his office. She blinked in surprise as an equally sleepy Kurt waved from one of the armchairs still in his pjs and drinking coffee while Logan and the Professor were at the professor's desk als sipping coffee. "Tigger, glad you could make it..." Logan sneered. Greer rolled her eyes and took a seat next to Kurt. "Right, you two must be wondering why we called you at such an inhuman hour...But Logan and I decided that this team will be perfect for the rescue mission." Kurt nearly spat out his coffee on Greer. "Vait. This team? As in just us?!" he spluttered. "Yeah Bub... Just us..."
Greer couldn't believe her ears. "Three of us... To take down the MRD? We will die..." Greer concluded. There was no way... The MRD compound was huge. It wasn't possible... "We don't need to take down the MRD. We just need to get in, and get out. The whole X men will raise flags. A lot of flags, so go suit up and we'll meet at the black bird in..." "Not so fast..."
Everybody turned and surprise surprise there was Jonathan standing at the doorway. Greer raised her eyebrow. He dressed like he was about to go to war, decked out in his black colored pants, leather bomber jacket, and black beret. A bright gold Maple leaf pin hung proudly on his jacket. "I'm going to.." he growled.
"Oh hell no..." Greer thought. Seemingly reading her mind Jonathan nodded "That's right I'm going... I don't care..." "You can't go... You have no idea how our team works and... and how the hell do you know about this meeting?" Greer hissed. "Yes Jonathan, how did you know about this meeting? I don't remember sending you a telepathic message.." the professor asked suspiciously. Jonathan shrugged. "I heard something and saw beautiful over here walking out so I followed." "You..." Greer sighed in exasperation. She did not know whether to feel complimented or totally freaked out by Jonathan. Suddenly, her tank top and shorts seemed very exposing to Jonathan's sharp eyes.
"You know, I think Jonathan should come... Just to observe..." Logan said gruffly. "What?" Kurt remarked. "WHY?!" Greer asked her voice clearly showing her protest. "Because I think so..." Logan said simply. "Professor..." Greer begged. "Logan has a point... Alright Jonathan you may go...But just to observe, I'll let you do missions when you earn more experience here..." the professor nodded at Logan. Jonathan's eyes lit up. "Yes sir, thank you sir." Greer moaned silently. "Alright suit up! We'll meet in five..."
"Ready?" Logan asked. Greer and Kurt nodded seriously, while Jonathan just pouted silently. "Ok elf, do your stuff..." Kurt closed his eyes and then "Bmf!" three seconds later... "Bmf!" "Got it..." he mumbled tossing Logan the keys. Carefully the four of them made their way to the back of the MRD van. Logan placed the key within the lock and quietly opened the door. "Ok Tigra...Now..." "C'mon Lieutenant... I got this..." Jonathan whispered. "Look shock trooper. I know you're good but you're only here to observe how we do missions... Tigra go!" Logan growled. Like a ghost Greer prowled into the van unheard. Lucky for her, there were only two guards eating pizza.
Greer stiffened her body as they started talking. "What's that thing doing now?" one asked pointing to a monitor. "Stupid piece of junk! Picked up mutant signatures but can't tell if its two miles away or two feet..." Greer braced herself. It was now or never... "Hi boys..." she said sweetly with a quick punch she knocked out the first guard and with one quick flick, wrapped her tail around the other's neck. Coldly she watched him cough, sputter and struggle before dropping the body as soon it passed out. "Clear..." she hissed. "Bmf!" "Ok now for Plan B... Tigger how's your acting skills..." Logan asked.
Greer thumped her tail hard as the van bounced up and down. "How ya doin' back there Tigger?" Logan's voice asked. Greer growled. "It smells in here... Jonathan pull your visor down..." she commented dryly. "Right..." he said. "You aren't being fair Logan...Why am I the prisoner?" she asked as Logan readjusted his stolen MRD garbs. "Easy...We need a distraction for the Mardies while we search for our targets...So be distracting..." he sneered. "You know doll, if you don't want to I'll gladly" "Heck no...I'll do it..." Greer shot back not seeing a need to feed Jonathan's already bloated ego. "How about after you guys save Paige and Jay? What do I do? Run? I'll be blasted to bits before I make it to the front door." Greer pointed out smiling a little seeing Jonathan's disappointed face. "Call Kurt he'll come to get you... Wherever you are..." Kurt grinned and gave Greer a thumb's up.
