Last time: "Thank you, Dean." Cas said, sounding very grateful.
"Don't mention it, Cas." Dean said. Dean led Cas to the library in comfortable silence.
When Cas saw the food, his eyes widened, "Did you cook all this?" He asked, sitting down in one of the chairs.
"No, Emma did." Dean answered.
"Who's Emma?" Cas asked, tilting his head towards Dean.
"Emma is the girl that stitched you up." Dean answered. Just as he said that, Emma walked in the room. "Speak of the devil." He muttered.
"And the devil shall appear." Emma finished. Kevin came walking in after her.
"Hey Dean." Kevin said, going to go sit down across from Cas.
"Hey Kevin." Dean said back.
"Hello, Cas." Kevin said, giving a small wave.
"Hello Kevin." Cas said, his head down. "I'm so-"
Kevin cut him off, "It's fine Cas." Cas nodded at him.
"Nice to meet you, Castiel." Emma said, nodding at him.
"Thank you, Emma." Cas said, a small smile on his face.
"Don't mention it." She said, smiling back. "Anyway, no touching the food until I get back with James and Crowley."
"Woah woah woah, Crowley?" Dean questioned.
"Problem?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. There was a moment of silence and then she sighed. "You know what, fine. I won't make Crowley sit here, but you have to get it through your thick skull that he is going to be here. I'm going to go get James." She said, her voice calm throughout her small speach. She walked out, leaving the room in silence. She walked to her and James' room and knocked. "James breakfast." She said, through the door. He didn't answer. Emma, being the older sister, started to panic. "James?" She screamed through the door. No answer. Another wave of panic swept through her and she barged into the room and found her brother still asleep in the bed closest to the far wall. "Damn it James." She said, running a hand through her hair. She walked over and punched him in the arm.
He jumped and looked at her, "Ow, Emma." He complained.
"You didn't answer." She said, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Oh, right. You worry." He said, closing his eyes again.
"Of course I worry. I'm the older sister." She said, glaring at him.
James sighed, "Emma you realize you're older by like twenty minutes right?" He scoffed.
"Twenty one minutes and thirty nine seconds to be exact. I'm older, I worry. Now come on, I made breakfast." She said, punching him lightly again.
"Ow." He pouted. "Fine. I'll be right there." He said, sitting up.
"Alright the food is in the library." Emma said, walking back.
As she entered, everyone turned to stare at her, "What?" She asked.
They all looked toward the food, "Can we eat, now?" Kevin asked.
"Go ahead." Emma said, "James will be out right now." She added. They all started grabbing at the food, well all except for Cas who was watching with a puzzled expression. Emma grabbed two plates, one for James and one for Crowley. She made her exit while Dean was convincing Cas to try bacon. She barged into James' room. He hadn't moved from his spot on the bed, "James, brought you food." She said, setting it down on the side table.
"Knew you would bring me food." He said, smirking. She punched him in the arm, "Ow!" She heard him exclaim before walking out.
She walked to Crowley's room and was about to knock on the door when she heard a sound. It sounded like a sob. She knocked and the sobbing stopped. "Who is it?" Crowley said, not sounding like himself.
"It's Emma." She called through the door. "Can I come in?" She asked.
There was a pause and then some shuffling, "Yah." He finally answered. She walked into the room and saw Crowley sitting on the edge of the bed. His eyes were puffy.
"I brought you food." Emma said, calmly. She walked cautiously towards him. She sat next to him and showed him the food.
"Not hungry." Crowley said almost inaudible.
"I don't believe you." Emma said. After a few seconds of silence Emma sighed and set the plate on the bedside table. "You're going to have to eat sometime." She said, looking at him.
"I'm not hungry." He said again.
"Well maybe not right now but I'm not moving until you eat." Emma said stubbornly.
"I don't need to eat." Crowley said.
"Bullshit. You are not fully human. You are part human and even partial humans need to eat. I know you must be going through hell -pardon the expression- right now but this is not the answer."
"Emma, how- how can you be telling me this? How can you sit there and not want to knife me in the neck? I killed your parents! I put you and your brothers in so much pain! Be mad at me! Hit me! For Gods sake just punch me so I can feel better!" He screamed, putting his head in his hands.
Emma scooted closer, "You want me to be mad at you? You want me to scream and yell and hurt you? Well, too bad. I don't work that way. So I'm going to be a bitch and say again, I forgive you." She said. "Crowley. I. Forgive. You."
"But why?" He asked, his voice cracking.
"Because I was taught to forgive. Anger like that... it ruins your mind. It makes you... crazy. I don't want to be like that." Emma stood up. "Please eat. I'll come check on you later." Crowley didn't say anything else and Emma waked out of the room. She sighed and walked back into the library. She saw Cas and Dean talking and she smiled, "Stupid idiots are going to get together sometime." She muttered. The sexual tension around them was suffocating. James, and Kevin were talking about something having to do with the tablet. She didn't make a sound as she stood in the doorway. She recalled seeing a training room when she went to look for a garage. She went and got changed into cargo pants and a tank top and made her way down to the training room. She went straight to the punching bag. She wrapped her hands in tape and went into a fighting stance. She punched and punched and punched for who knows how long.
She didn't notice James standing in the doorway until she paused to take a breather, "You okay?" He asked.
"I'm... Fine." She said in between breaths.
"Doesn't look like it." He said crossing his arms over his chest.
"Shut... Up... James." She said, still breathing hard. She was holding her stomach.
"Is it about..." He started to ask.
She looked at him and said, "We need... to find him." She said, her breathing evening out.
"I know but you can't do this." He said, worry in his eyes.
"What are you... talking about?" She asked.
"I mean this." He said gesturing to the punching bag. "You can't beat your problems out."
"No but I can sure as hell try." She said.
"Talk to me." He said. "You don't need to hold everything you know."
"I'm the older sister. Its my job." She said.
He rolled his eyes, "You're older by 20 minutes."
"Still older."
He sighed, "Just... talk to me."
She walked over and stood in front of him, "There's nothing to talk about."
He sighed again and hugged her, "Fine. But if you need to talk then... Just please talk to me. I hate it when you bottle these things up."
She hugged him back, "Alright James."
"And take a shower. You smell really bad." He added. She punched him.
Upstairs with everyone else...
Everybody was eating and for a moment it seemed like a normal breakfast. And then that moment ended. There was a flash of light and a loud thud filled the room. Everyone turned to see a guy lying face down on the floor. He let out a groan of pain and pushed himself up. He stood up and wobbled on his feet. Cas was the first to speak, "Gabriel?" He asked in disbelief.
Had to end it in a cliffhanger. Please review and hope you enjoyed :)
