Chapter 2

Wilhelmina spun around.

"What," She snapped?

"My Nephew. Connor Owens," Faye replied in her monotone.

"What do you want to know," Wilhelmina heard herself ask, biting down hard on her lower lip.

Faye chuckled, "When I returned I heard you were trying to track him down."

Wilhelmina's head was spinning so fast that she lost balance causing her to fall into her plush arm chair.

"When you returned," She asked.

"Yes, for the past few years the protection agency has taken me in and sheltered me from Claire Meade after her attempted murder. I've only recently returned," Faye responded as calm as ever. "Now im back warning you," She continued.

"Warning me," Wilhelmina inquired?

"You'll never catch him," Faye said, her old self seeping in through the words.

"And how do you know that," Wilhelmina asked again as Faye interrupted.

"You see when Connor's mother died she sent him to me. I didn't know what to do with a child," Faye paused.

"But what about Amanda," Wilhelmina butted in.

"I hadn't had her yet," Faye replied, "But, I did as much as I could do to help him but." Faye had stopped; the half of her face that was visible under her glasses seemed to represent a painful memory. "But it wasn't enough so he left and I never saw him again," she said regaining her signature pose, "Till I saw the headline of the news. 'Meade Cleared Out'." "Connor was the main person in the picture."

Wilhelmina's head throbbed with the overwhelming information. She had dated a relative of Faye's? The thought sent a revolting shock through her body.

"You wont be able to find him much less catch him," Faye repeated. "Unless you have something he wants," She continued. Something in her voice made Wilhelmina think that she knew something. Faye started to step closer to where Wilhelmina sat.

"And I also know that you dated Connor," Faye said.

"He means nothing to me now," Wilhelmina snapped a little to quickly.

Faye laughed her signature laugh, "Don't try and fool me Wilhelmina," She said, "Remember I taught you that."

Wilhelmina looked away from her piercing stare. She felt like she was an assistant again being pushed around by none other then Faye Sommers. Now a days she was the one doing the pushing sense Faye was 'dead'. Now it was all rapidly turning back. There was no way she was going to allow it.
