Heal the Pain

She came to him out of nowhere. It was exactly what he needed and what he so desperately wanted and taking her into his arms was like a healing balm for his soul. Something inside her had beckoned him, and he had no choice but to respond. It was the drug that he could not break himself of. Detox was not an option for his kind of pulsing need. He only hoped that their strong connection would be enough to satisfy his intensity. In the thralls of love making he asked her name; the answer resounded in his head and he repeated it softly as he thrust all of himself into her. Laura, Laura, Laura.

Her soft breath caressed his cheek as she absorbed all of the hurt inside of him and gave him pure light and love. He shuddered, feeling as though she was made for him, for his primal urges as well as his gentle inclinations. Her petite frame molded to his larger, firmer one and they seemed to fit perfectly. He looked into her gray eyes as he felt himself nearing climax and saw everything he had ever needed staring back at him, pleading to be accepted. And Wilson was more than happy to accommodate. She was exposing her soul to him and he knew that someday he would more than likely break her heart into a million pieces, but he couldn't stop himself. The hunger wouldn't let him.

He came passionately and buried his face in her dark hair, praying for this feeling to last forever. There would be no turning back from the connection he knew he would make and he only hoped that she would be enough to comfort him for the rest of his days. He hoped that she could heal the pain he felt inside and become more than the aloe for his burning soul. He wanted her to be his everything. He hardly knew her, but he knew he wanted her for the rest of his life. He wanted the feeling of her by his side forever, giving him her love and taking away the sting of what he had lost so many times before.

They lay still together, covered in sweat and nothing else. Wilson couldn't regret his hasty decision to bed her immediately. His need and her beauty combined to create sensations that he had never felt before and he had to take the opportunity to try to make a life for himself. He asked her to marry him and she barely hesitated. The millisecond nearly killed him, but then the sweet 'yes' sprang from her lips and wave upon wave of relief crashed over him, spreading the healing properties of her love. She only wanted him…had only wanted him for years and finally she had her chance. He knew deep down that this was the one, and nobody could take that away from him. With stars in their eyes, they drifted off into blissful sleep.
