A/N- Sorry that I am just so bad at updating regularly. School and extra-curriculars get so much in the way. I hope you still enjoy the story and keep reading :)

-Inside the Big House-
It was mostly quiet inside the Big House, everyone in his or her own world. The usual cabin leaders were there. Except for Travis and Conner. And Mark was invited to this meeting after Will cleared him as healthy.
"Are you sure you did the right thing?" Percy questioned, looking that the table and refusing to meet Chiron's eyes. Nobody ever really went against Chiron, so the idea that Percy was questioning his actions… well— it was shocking.
"What do you mean by the 'right thing'?" Chiron had been on edge this entire meeting and now Percy was not making it any better. "That boy is out of control! I try to tell him 'no' but he doesn't listen. Just last week, I told him that we had a visiting quarter-god, you know him Acacius Faye, he was half Apollo and a quarter Athena, and to leave him alone. Do you know what he did? He replaced the blade of Acacius' sword with his shaving blade and vice versa. Acacius nearly took off his cheek!"
'How can a guy mistake the blade of sword for a shaving blade?' Katie thought as she got a little smirk on her face. As little pockets of laughter got louder and louder around the room, the steam coming out of Chiron's ears was getting hotter and hotter.
"Guys! This is serious! Chiron is right. Travis is out of control. If we can't manage him and keep him from disgracing us and going out on his own, then we need to find someone who can, and who better to do it than his own mother?" Annabeth stood up to defend Chiron. Katie noticed everyone in the room silent and giving her their full attention. Percy had that look of awe in his expression as he looked at Annabeth that made all the demigods in the room, besides Aphrodite's, feel ill.
Suddenly, Kate stood up. Now, she may not know Travis the best (even though she wants to) but she does know that his reaction today was not something they can even begin to understand. "And you think that his mother is the one to do it? Did you not see his reaction when Chiron told him that she was coming? He looked terrified! Maybe the relationship isn't positive. A few years ago how would you have felt if we called you dad over here because you were a bit unruly, Annabeth?"
"I told Chiron about my dad so he knew not to call him in case of an emergency. Travis never said such a thing so why should he complain when we take action?" Annabeth defended.
"Maybe it's not information he was willing to give away. Remember that when we filled these forms out," Katie waved around the informational forms that all the half-bloods had to fill out for safety reasons when they came to the camp, "Chiron didn't want it to be a joke so he had all of us take a truth serum from the Apollo kids. I highly doubt that his information would have been given out if not for that."
"What are you trying to say, Katie?" Annabeth leaned across the table a little letting her gray eyes bore holes into Katie's bright green ones. Katie questioned herself. Nobody wanted Annabeth as an enemy. But she wasn't about to abandon Travis when he didn't even have a chance to defend himself. Katie straightened herself and made her face like an unyielding stone.
"I'm telling you that you aren't always right and this might not have been the correct decision." The room went silent. All eyes were on Katie, but she didn't move. Katie was not about to allow Annabeth to say whatever she wanted and insult Travis along the way. He deserved to be defended.
"Girls." Chiron was the first to speak. As he motion for us to sit down, "I know that tensions are high right now. Annabeth thank you for defending my choice but I can do it myself." Katie scoffed and Annabeth blushed. "And Katie. I appreciate you speaking up but you need to think about this from a rational point of view. Not everybody is naturally good. You have to evaluate all of their traits, good and bad."
Just as Katie was about to retort, the door opened to show Travis walking in. Oh gods. Katie hoped he wasn't listening as they tore apart his character. With a quick once over she thought that he hadn't until she noticed the little things. The little nuances she had started to notice since getting to know Travis better. Like the fact that he was biting the inside of his lip but not enough to make it obvious. Or that he couldn't stop bouncing his finger against his leg. He had heard. He had heard everything.
"Yes, Travis?" Chiron asked, as he was the first to speak, not noticing what Katie was.
For a second it was quite before—"I'm sorry."
"What?" Chiron was stunned. Travis never apologized. He normally just laughed this off or over-exaggerated an apology he didn't mean. But right now he seemed almost sheepish as he mutter the words once more a little quieter.
"What I did was uncalled for. Mark didn't deserve it—"
"I sure as Hades didn't!" Mark exclaimed before being pulled down by Clarisse who for once hadn't said a word but was instead just looking at the ground.
"As I was saying," he gave a pointed look at Mark, "I am sorry for what I did. I will do anything you need. Kitchen duty for a month. Clean all the cabins. Give Mark whatever he wants. Just, please, do not bring my mother here." As he ended he was looking back a Chiron, his face as hard as stone, but his voice cracking a little.
"You know I don't enjoy calling parents, but in this case it is necessary. You cannot be controlled and I can't have a loose demigod running around." Chiron defended. His anger seemed to have dissipated from earlier in the meeting, for he was looking at Travis with something like sadness in his eyes.
'If only they knew how much she did control me.' Travis thought to himself, "If you think I'm hard to handle you have no idea."
"And what is that supposed to mean?" Apparently, Annabeth couldn't stay quiet for too long. No, that would be too nice.
"I'm just saying that my mother is… interesting. She doesn't follow your rules. Well, to be honest, she doesn't follow any rules. And you don't want to get on her bad side. Like you really really don't want to get one her bad side."
"It can't be that bad. Sure my mom gets mad sometimes but I think you're over exaggerating." Will said from his corner of the table.
"Ever seen Gollum from Lord of the Rings?" A good amount of uncertain nods around the table, as nobody knew where this was going, "He has a better moral compass than my mother."
"I highly doubt that. What could make your mother such a horrible person?" Chiron inquired.
"Well, her name is Synth Stoll. And she runs the Academy."
