Chapter 12

Lilly yawned and rubbed a hand over her tired eyes, she had just managed to get the triplets into bed and now she needed to get into her own bed or she'd pass out in the hallway.

"Hey baby" Scotty said, looking up from his book as she entered the bedroom.

She sat down on the bed and sighed "I am beat" Scotty reached over and rubbed her back "oh that feels good" she murmured, closing her eyes. He grinned and shifted over to her, moving his hands to her shoulders, gently massaging them.

"How's that?"

"That feels really good Scotty"

Scotty grinned and leaned in to press a kiss to her neck "how about this?"

"Scotty, I would love too but I'm so exhausted"

Scotty sighed sliding his arms around her waist "well come to bed then, get some sleep"

Lilly nodded and started to get undressed, climbing into bed beside her husband. She pillowed her head on his chest, draping one arm over his stomach.

"Your family took it well"

Scotty nodded "Yeah Ma is the most excited, think she's hoping for another granddaughter"

Lilly smiled "she was hinting that we should paint the nursery pink"

Scotty chuckled and pressed a kiss to the top of her head "now all that is left is to tell work"

Lilly sighed "yeah, I'm not looking forward to that part. They'll wanna put me on desk duty in a few months"

"I'm sorry baby I wish you didn't have to go through this"

"It's not a disease Scotty, I'm just pregnant. Just like millions of women on the planet right now are"

Scotty rolled his eyes "I didn't mean it like that, I know that you hate being on desk duty"

Lilly shrugged and closed her eyes "I do but, if it's best for the baby I'll do it"

Scotty kissed her again "I love you"

"I love you too"

"Goodnight baby"

"Goodnight"

They closed their eyes and the couple fell asleep in each other's arms.

Lilly knocked on the door to Stillman's office and cleared her throat "Boss, do you have a minute?"

Stillman looked up from his paperwork and removed his glasses, studying his best detective carefully "sure Lil, come on in"

Lilly stepped into the office, knocking the wedge that held the door open with her foot. The door closed with a resounding click and Lilly sat down in the chair opposite her Boss and mentor.

"What's the matter Lil? Is there something wrong?"

Lilly shook her head "no, nothing is wrong…actually….I'm pregnant"

A smile appeared on his face "congratulations Lilly"

"Thanks Boss"

"How far long are you?"

"5 weeks, nearly 6"

"Scotty must be excited"

"He is, he's over the moon"

"I'm happy for you Lil, both of you"

"Thanks Boss"

Stillman nodded "now I want you to take it easy, I'm not going to put you on desk duty yet but I don't want you to overdo anything"

Lilly smiled "I won't Boss, I promise"

"Good, now get back out there…" he jerked his head out towards the bullpen "….we are swamped" Lilly nodded again and stood up "congratulations again Lil"

Lilly came home that afternoon feeling like a weight had been lifted off her, she had told her Boss and colleagues about the baby and they were all thrilled for her. She was also glad that she wasn't going to have to go on desk duty straight away, as long as she took it easy, Stillman would allow her to work out in the field.

Lilly came home, finding Scotty sitting at the table in the study, case files piled up everywhere so you could hardly see the desk at all. He looked extremely frustrated.

"Hey Baby" Lilly murmured, pressing a kiss to the side of his neck.

"Hey Lil" he replied distractedly

"You hungry? I think we still have leftovers dinner yesterday"

Scotty shook his head "No I ate on the way home and Ma made the kids dinner"

"Your mother is still here?"

Scotty shook his head "She left about 15 minutes ago, I had some work to do so Ma dropped the kids off and made dinner, there should be some left overs in the kitchen"

"Oh, ok" Lilly replied "can I get you a beer"

"No I'm fine, look Lil I really gotta concentrate"

Lilly frowned "I'm sorry, I'll leave you alone then"

She had noticed his work load had tripled somewhat since starting at the bureau and she tried to be supportive but now he was bringing work home with him, she only hoped that it wasn't going to be an on-going thing.

Three hours later and Scotty still hadn't come to bed and she was getting rather frustrated. Her hormones where going crazy and she really wanted, to fool around with her extremely sexy husband. She sighed and pulled back the covers and slid out of bed, and quietly crept down the hallway to the study and pushed open the door.

"Are you coming to bed?" she asked softly as she approached the desk.

Scotty looked even more haggard then before, he had stripped off his tie and his hair was sticking up at odd angles from the amount of time he'd ran his fingers through it.

"I'll be there soon" he replied without looking up from his paperwork.

Lilly sighed "but it's nearly midnight"

"I'm sorry Querida" Scotty replied as he turned around in his chair "I promise I'll be there in half an hour"

Lilly grinned and placed her hands on his shoulders. Lowering her head down, she whispered in his ear "you have fifteen minutes before I put batteries in your competition"

Scotty chuckled "you still have that?"

Lilly didn't answer, but simply pressed a kiss to his shoulder and left the room.

Scotty could no longer concentrate on the paperwork in front of him as his wife's words echoed in his head. She was currently in their bedroom and obviously was in the mood to fool around.

The pregnancy hormones had obviously started kicking in and he decided to take advantage of it right now.

He tossed his pen onto the desk and moved swiftly out of the room and up the hallway to the bedroom. Lilly grinned at him as shut the door behind him and started to shed his clothes.

"You don't was anytime" she commented

"Why would I when I have you waiting on me" he retorted

Lilly giggled as he practically leapt onto the bed and crawled over her "you get your work done?" Lilly asked, running her fingers through his hair.

Scotty sighed "almost, but I have several months' worth of case files to review in order to catch myself up to the rest of the squad" He slowly lowered himself down on top of her "but I don't wanna talk about work right now, I suspect you don't either"

Lilly smiled "No, I don't" she replied "now kiss me"

"Yes Ma'am"

Scotty started out slowly, kissing her lips tenderly as his fingers traced patterns over her body. He moved down her neck and over her breast and down to her abdomen. When he reached the spot above her belly button, where his new baby was growing inside of her, he paused, thinking about the new life that he and Lilly had created.

"What's wrong?" Lilly asked, taking his hesitation as a sign of concern.

"I'm fine Querida" he replied breathlessly "just trying to picture you with your belly all gorgeous and round again" He pressed a lingering kiss to her skin, breathing her in. "I love you" he whispered and Lilly knew in that moment Scotty wasn't just talking to her but also to the new life inside of her.

She ran her fingers through his hair and pulled him back up to her lips, sliding her tongue into his mouth. Scotty slid one hand between her thighs, gently caressing her.

"Make love to me" Lilly whispered

Scotty shifted over her until he aligned his body with her; he slid forward and encased himself inside of her. He dug his toes into the mattress to give him better leverage and began to slowly thrust into her.

"Oh God" Lilly murmured

"This feels so good Querida" Scotty's reply was muffled as he pressed his lips against her neck.

Lilly dug her nails into the skin of his shoulders, panting and moaning his name.

Scotty moved faster and faster until he couldn't hold it in anymore. He came hard, moaning her name and collapsed onto the mattress beside her.

"Oh that was great" Lilly murmured.

"I know" Scotty replied.

Scotty rolled over on his back and Lilly pillowed her head on his chest. "I really needed that" Lilly replied with a sigh, closing her eyes and breathing in the heady scent of her husband.

"Glad I could be of help"

Lilly grinned and pressed a kiss on his chest "I love you"

"I love you too" Scotty replied

"I'm just so tired"

"Get some sleep baby, I got you"

"I know you do"

Scotty lay awake for a long time after that, listening to Lilly breathing in and out, feeling her every breath tickling his chest. He was thinking about what the next eight months were going to be like, what the new baby would look like and whether or not the triplets would like their new sibling. He sighed happily and closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep dreaming of the new baby.
