Chapter 21:

Lilly stood in the doorway of her parent's in laws room later that evening, watching the children piled on Rosa and Ramiro's bed watching a Christmas movie. Her daughter was already fast asleep, her little thumb in her mouth while her brothers, cousins and numerous second and third cousins were glued to the TV screen. It was the annual Valens post-Christmas Party and the children had only made it as far as 10pm before sacking out on their grandparent's bed. She felt the warm and gentle hand of her husband come to rest on her shoulder and she turned her head to face him

"Hey, you ready to go?" she asked him

He nodded "yeah, I got stuck talking to one of my cousins" Lilly grinned

"That's alright if you get Laura I'll get the boys"

Scotty nodded and the two of them moved into the bedroom.

Laura barely stirred as Scotty scooped her into his arms and he gently pressed a kiss to her forehead before whispering good bye to the other children.

Chris helped the kids into the back seat of Scotty and Lilly's brand new min-van, (Lilly having finally convinced Scotty that they needed to buy a bigger car sooner rather than later and had rushed out to buy a bigger car in the post-Christmas sales) and Scotty carefully lowered Laura into her booster seat, she opened her eyes briefly but was so tired that they closed almost instantly once again.

"She's so cute when she's sleeping" Chris whispered as Laura began to suck on her thumb.

Scotty nodded as he buckled the belt around his daughter and closed the door of the car before moving to get behind the wheel "thanks for letting me come today, I had fun"

Lilly turned around in her seat to face her sister "Scotty's family is always a lot of fun"

"Are his cousins always that flirty?"

Lilly grinned "I think it was because you we're the only woman there that they weren't related to"

Scotty chuckled as he started the car "nah, it's just the Rush women drive us Valens's crazy" He leaned over and pressed a kiss to his wife's cheek who simply rolled her eyes at his cheesy comment, but she couldn't wipe the smile off his face the whole way home.

Lilly sighed in frustration as she searched the backseat of the car for Matthew's new signed baseball that Mike had given him for Christmas. Apparently Mike knew the Phillies new starting pitcher, they attended the same college and Mike had gotten his son and nephew both an autographed ball and he carried it everywhere. Now Matthew was refusing to go to bed until Lilly found it, which meant Lilly had to heave herself into the backseat of the minivan to find the ball her son had dropped.

"Find it yet?" Scotty asked from behind her, causing her to jump slightly.

"No, not yet"

Scotty sighed "I'll call Ma in the morning, see if he left it over there"

Lilly crawled out of the back seat and sighed "he is refusing to go to sleep till I find it"

Scotty shrugged "He'll fall asleep when he is tired"

Lilly nodded "I suppose so"

Scotty grinned at her and took a step, pinning her body to the car "you know I was just thinking, we haven't christened our new car yet" he said huskily, his hands coming to rest on her hips.

Lilly giggled "you can't be serious?"

"Oh I am serious" Scotty whispered in her ear, pausing to kiss the creamy skin of her neck.

Lilly sighed in delight and her eyes closed as Scotty's lips moved across her throat and up behind her ear "I really hate to stop you there cause I'm really enjoying it but I was kinda hoping we could take this upstairs" Scotty's only answer was an animalistic growl as he pressed himself harder against her "I got you a late Christmas present but you are going to have to let me go"

Scotty sighed and pulled back "you got me another present?" he asked curiously "I thought the IPad was my present"

Lilly nodded "It was, but I got you a little something extra"

"What kind of something?"

Lilly kissed his lips, her fingers threading their way through his thick black hair, after a few seconds she pulled back and winked "why don't you take a wild guess"

Scotty grinned as Lilly backed out of the garage "and you waited a week to tell me?" Lilly chuckled and he followed her out of the garage.

Scotty shut their bedroom door and advanced on her, sliding his arms around her waist. His lips nipped and sucked at her neck and Lilly giggled "wait, slowdown"

"Why?" came Scotty's muffled reply.

"Because" Lilly replied simply as she pushed him back "now get in bed…" she pressed a quick kiss to his lips "get undressed…" she kissed his neck "and close your eyes"

"Yes Ma'am"

Lilly winked at him and went into the bathroom, closing the door behind her.

Scotty quickly shed his clothes and dove under the covers "come on out Lil"

"Are your eyes closed?"

"Yes" Scotty lied

"Just close them" she replied knowingly.

Scotty sighed and closed his eyes "ok, their closed now are you coming out?"

Lilly opened the door and stuck her head out to check that her husband had indeed closed his eyes.

She crept out of the bathroom and climbed onto the bed, straddling her husband's waist "you can open your eyes"

Scotty did and he almost had a heart attack when he saw what she was wearing.

It had to be the sexiest negligee he'd ever seen it was deep red, like the colour of a Santa Claus suit complete with the fluffy white trim. Her pregnancy enhanced breasts were straining against the satin material. "Oh holy God" Scotty whispered.

"You like your belated Christmas present?"

"Oh hell yeah" Scotty whispered, already feeling himself harden as he surveyed his wife.

Lilly giggled "so…wanna un-wrap me?"

Scotty smiled and pulled her closer to him his hands slid down her back and caught the hem of the negligee with his fingers. He waited a beat and then all but ripped it off of her.

Scotty was desperate to roll them over and thrust into her, foreplay be damned but he knew that they couldn't have sex with her lying on her back so he was going to have to wait for her to take the lead.

Lilly chuckled at him and began to kiss her way down his chest as Scotty's panting breaths encouraging her onwards. She pushed aside the sheet and moved over him. Scotty clutched at her hips as she lowered herself down onto him and they groaned in unison.

She slowly began to rock her hips and Scotty leant back in the pillows and closed his eyes.

"Best present ever" he murmured.

Lilly giggled and gripped at his shoulders "glad you like it" she breathed.

Scotty moaned and he slid his hands up from her hips to her waist, guiding her over him faster and faster.

"Don't stop Lil"

"Oh Scotty, I think I am close"

Scotty pushed himself up by his elbows so he could kiss her lips again, his tongue exploring her mouth as though tasting it for the first time. He threaded his fingers through her hair and she massaged his scalp as she gripped his dark locks.

"Hold on Lil, just a little bit more" Scotty requested and Lilly nodded, thrusting her hips against him.

She felt herself getting closer to her own release and she moaned into his mouth, tightening her grip on the back of Scotty's head.

Scotty let his eyes roll to the back of his head as wave after wave of pleasure crashed over him. He grunted and shifted his hips and pushed himself further inside of her, inciting an animalistic groan from his wife.

Lilly shook with pleasure and collapsed on top of him, wrapping her arms around him.

Scotty started to fall backwards and withdrew himself from inside of her.

"God that was good" Scotty murmured

"Yes it was" Lilly agreed as she snuggled closer to him, her leg still draped over his waist. She sighed and closed her eyes "I'm so tired"

Scotty pressed a kiss to her forehead "I know baby, me too, get some sleep"

She nodded, already drifting off to sleep in his arms.

Lilly was entering her 6th month of pregnancy and Scotty was insisting that she start her desk duty immediately, he kept telling her that he was worried if she stayed out in the field she'd go into early labour.

Despite Lilly telling him that he was being over protective and melodramatic, her husband had managed to convince Stillman and human resources for the Philadelphia Police department that she should be taking it easy so here she was stuck at her desk for the next 3 months.

Vera walked back in with Will, after having interviewed a few witnesses to their latest case and Lilly couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealously as the green-eyed monster reared its head.

"How'd it go?" She asked

"Possible lead, we gotta track down a Gary Lyman, a former roommate of our Vic" He replied "apparently he moved to New York a few weeks before she died, according to her cousin they had a fling and things ended badly"

"I could run him through autotrack, see if we can get a last known?" Lilly suggested

Will smiled at her and handed her his notes from the interview "thanks Lil"

Her phone rang and Lilly snatched it up "Rush"

"It's only me"

"Hey baby" Lilly replied

"I just wanted to let you know that I am going to be brining Jack home for dinner, we have some work to do but I wanted to be home to put the kids to bed"

Lilly grinned "sounds good Scotty, I'll see you soon I guess"

"I love you"

"Love you too" She replied and hung up.
