My bad. The holiday week for us American's kicked my butt. As a result, there was too much family, too many kids with no school to keep them busy, and too many people wanting to touch my computer. My computer was like what the heck, why are you letting all these people on me. Well, my computer rebelled and refused to turn on.
I now know why Dell Computers are so cheap and easy to get many discounts on. Anyhoo, I am finally up and running, but my computer was set back to factory settings and I had to reinstall Microsoft Office. However, I never realized what a lazy heifer I am in not backing up my work constantly on my flash drive, so I have to start over with Chapter 21. Give me a couple days.
Anyhoo, while I was computerless, I was able to read some Ouran High School Host Club Fanfiction on my kindle. I never really read many straight fanfiction, mainly the crossovers. Things I noted.
1. Most OC's are author self insert fictions and they are easy to spot and annoying as heck to read.
2. In Japan you don't get your license for anything other than a moped until your 18, so to have the Host Club driving pulled me out of the story.
3. Also, in Japan it is very rare for high school couples to go out on a date with just themselves and another person. It is always group outings where you and the person you like go out with a group of friends, at least for the first couple months. The single dates, also pulled me out of the stories.
Just my little pet peeves.
On a side note, since I couldn't get to my computer and I was reading too much Ouran fan fiction, I came up with another Harry/Mori crossover idea (in addition to the sequel) that I hadn't seen done before. However, this one is totally rated M, there is no way getting out of that one just because of the nature of the idea. I've handwritten about 15 pages of it so far.
This really is an addiction. I need help, or a life.
