"Rouge, you heard what that men said to Lucy-san right?" Sting questioned.
"Yes. I heard it."
"The last time I joined the council meeting, I heard about some dark guild is trying to revive zeref. Even though none of them are sure about this, I'm sure what had happen must have some relation with reviving Zeref." Sting explained.
"But why Lucy-san? Is it because she have…" Rouge hesitant.
"I'm positive that is the reason. He did not targeting Yukino because she just has 2 keys but Lucy-san have the most golden keys. Adding her ability, I'm sure Akira wanted to use the keys and her body to be exchanged with Zeref."
"If that the reason, why don't he just take her the time he caught her?" Rouge questioned.
"I don't know his ultimate motive. However, I'm thankful enough that he did not take her or hurting her more than that. If she were kidnapped or something bad happen to her, I can't imagine how can we face Fairy Tail and face the guilty of not protecting friends."
"You're right."
The next morning Lucy is the first one waking up from her sleep. She sits on the bed, scanning the surroundings and find Mida sleeping besides her. She could not help but smile at her wonderful friend.
Lucy's pov.
I put my hand on my chin, thinking of what had happen yesterday. That Akira… I can't let him hurt my friend. But, I can't give up my life just like that. I don't have anything special that could stop him from killing other people. Does he want my keys? Wait! KEYS! I look around and find my keys on the table beside the bed. I take a relieve breath and hold it tightly on my chest. If his ultimate motive is hurting my friends, I can't let him. I have to find a way to stop him.
As I still in a deep thought and gathering courage in my mind, I didn't realize that Mida has woken up from her sleep. She looks straight at me with a really scary face.
Normal pov.
"Lucy." Said Mida in a serious tone.
"Err.Y-yes. You're scaring me Mida." Lucy shuttered.
"That men, what is the thing he whispered to you? Akira isn't it? He had hurt you before this and he is doing it again! And….The worst thing is, I could not do anything to stop him." Mida release her dissatisfaction.
Lucy put her hand on Mida's shoulders and shook her head. "No Mida. Don't say things like that. I'm the one who should be sorry for what had happen. You're hurt because you hire me. If.. If only I didn't accept this request, you will not be in danger."
Mida stands up and walk toward the window. "I'm fine Lucy. You know what? You really are good in turning back the table. Now I'm the one who feel guilty towards you. I'm not hurt at all thanks to you. If you're not there for me, I might have some injury here and there."
"I'm just stating the truth." Lucy pouted.
Mida crossed her hand, sighing.. "Look, from my perspective that men is seeking for you Lucy, not me. So, the one who is in danger is you. As what he said, he has planned all of this to happen and it was already happen. I don't want to find the cause of it and trying to find the solution for this. But the main point is, why he is targeting you?" Mida ponting at Lucy.
"Who knows what plan he has in his creepy mind?"
"Hei Lucy! Have some spirit will you? As far as I know you, you're a positive person. What happen to you Lucy?"
Lucy looks away before sighing. "I'm sorry, I just don't know. But you're right, I have to be positive. I don't know what he wants but I'll be fine." Lucy put her hand on the air, showing her new courage.
"That's the spirit! But are you sure you don't know what he want?" Mida looking at Lucy suspiciously.
'I can't let her know that he want my life. If she knows it, she won't let me go out of her house.' said Lucy in her mind.
"No. Not at all" Lucy put some act on her answer.
"Fine. But you can't go until your leg is recovered." Said Mida without looking at Lucy.
"W-WHAT?! No way Mida! I have to go back today! I have promise them to go back today! I f I don't they would be really worry about me and.. and…" before Lucy could continue Mida turn around and pokes her face, leaving Lucy speechless.
"You really think I'm that cruel huh Lucy? I'm hurt you know.." Mida lowered her head, making some sniff sound.
"I-I didn't say…"
Mida lift her head up and face Lucy. "Silly, you're easily tricked Lucy!" Lucy just puffing her cheek in embarrassment. Mida continues, "You can go home, but just stay here for a moment, I'll ask my doctor to check your legs first. You have to have breakfast with me and then you can go home."
"Alright then."
Time skip.
"Lucy-sama, you still can't move too much as the bone is still broken and it takes a few days to be fully recovered. It is a good thing that you're a wizard and your magical power really help in fixing the bones or you won't be able to walk ever again. Here, take this stick. It will help you to walk stably." said Mida's doctor.
"Thanks a lot."
"So, do you want to go back now? Can't wait to meet you beloved one?" Mida tease her.
Lucy immediately blushes and put her hand to cover her face. "Oh, please Mida, not that topic."
"Hehe.. I won't tease you again. Do they that important for you?" Mida ask with gentle tone.
"Yes they are. They are my family and my life." Lucy answered and smiled.
"I'm really glad you find your happiness Lucy, after all hard time you went through, you deserve to be happy. If anyone there tries to hurt you, you must tell me okay! I will smash them and torture... ahem! Advise them nicely for hurting my friend." Mida said with innocent smiles.
Lucy giggles hearing her statement. "No they won't, but if they do, I will tell you and you can smash and torture… ahem! Advise them nicely okay!" she starts to laugh.
"Ahaha… good one Lucy..good one!" Mida laugh loudly.
They keep teasing each other until they finish their breakfast. Mida send Lucy to the train station and they hug each other.
"Take care of yourself. Send my regards to your parent okay. Thanks for everything you have done for me. I can't repay your kindness." Lucy said.
"You can by taking a good care of yourself and let the twin dragon slayer take you back to Magnolia."
"Twin dragon slayer?" said Lucy, dumbfounded.
"Hello Lucy-san." Rouge greeted.
"Yo Lucy!" Sting added.
"We will escort you home okay!" Frosh and Lector say in unison.
"M-Mida?!" Lucy's eyes are wide open with their appearances. She thought that they are already go back to their own guild.
"Well, you have to endure it Lucy. If you want me to let you go, you have to accept my gift."
Lucy's face softens and she smile widely with her teary eyes. "Thank you Mida. For everything you have done for me. And also for the keys you gave me."
Mida hug Lucy for the last time and make a promise to meet each other again someday. They parted their ways and Lucy head towards Magnolia with lots of mystery and of course a new companion who fighting their motion sickness and the other 2 lovely exceed sleeping beside her.
"Lady Mida, why did you let her go? You know that she is hiding something." Said George, Mida's butler.
"I know that. But staying here won't do good to her. I don't have any magic power to protect her. As much Lucy put her trust to her guildmate, I will put the same amount of trust to them too. After all…."
Flashback.
"Sting and Rouge, I'll assign new task for you. Please take care of Lucy and make sure she reaches Fairy Tail safely." Said Mida.
Sting and Rouge exchange glance with each other and nodded. Then, Rouge answered. "No. We will take care of her. Not because of your order, but as a friend. Just keep it a secret from her. Can you Mida-san?"
"Thank you. But why?" Mida questioned.
"Who knows? We just feel like it. After all as a men, leaving her alone while she is still injured is not cool at all." Sting answered.
End of flashback.
"Even if I'm not there for her, she has a lot of friend that will protect her." Mida smiles and leave the train station with a light heart.
At the same time, with Natsu.
"Happy,, when we will reach Magnolia? Aughh.." Natsu started to puke again.
"Be patient Natsu, we will be there in 1 hour!" Happy answered happily.
"Yeah Natsu, and stop making noises, or I will leave you here when we reach there!" Erza send a sharp glare to Natsu.
"Aye!" Natsu answered "what's wrong with her today? Glaring here and there nonstop. If only Lucy is here, I can borrow her lap as pillow." Natsu mumble alone.
Erza sighed and choose to ignore Natsu's mumbling.
Erza's pov.
The council really man when I said I can't find the dark guild's master. They seem scared but refuse to tell me. Just who this Akira? Soon to be powerful mage? The council knows what he wants but protecting their dignity by not telling low ranking the top secret? Just what the heck they are thinking? I really hate the council. I have to ask master about this. I hope he knows something about this.
At Fairy Tail
The door slammed open, revealing one and only ice mage of Fairy Tail who don't have any shirt on his body. "Where is Lucy?!" Gray asks with a worried face plastered on his face.
"Ara,ara.. Don't be too anxious Gray, Lucy just went for her solo mission, I think she will be back in afternoon or evening today" Mira answered with a sweet smile. Gray sigh relief and walk to the bar's counter ignoring other people saying about young love and protective brother.
"How is your mission?" Mira ask.
"Huh? It's just another boring mission. Umm, what job is Lucy taking? Is it dangerous?" ask Gray with worried face.
"No danger at all. It is just a mission to escort a lady to a town. Oh Gray. You're too worried, you're lucky that Juvia is not here. If not I bet this guild must be flooded by now." Mira said with a sly grin.
"Take it easy Mira, don't let it carried away. Let me explains first. You know that we're supposed to go for a mission, but unfortunately Lucy got a fever, Erza and that flame brain insist on taking care of Lucy until she feel better. But I know that Lucy rent's due is nearing and to help her I take a solo mission. When I arrive, I went to her apartment but she is not there. That is why I'm worried to death!" Gray explains.
"Ahaha. I got you Gray! Yeah.. Yeah.. I will get the same question when Natsu, Happy and Erza reach the guild before Lucy. I'm glad I've write a script on what to say to them!" Said Mira excitedly.
"Just where is the flame brain? I thought he wants to go for a mission when Lucy got better? How dare he leave Lucy alone?!" Gray said with cold aura around him.
"Easy Gray. Natsu and Erza have to go a mission assign by master. He don't have a choice do he?" Mira explained.
"Is that so? But he should ask anyone to take care of Lucy you know."
"Lucy is not a child Gray. Put some trust on her." Mira advises.
Gray just shrugged. " When will he get back?" Gray asks.
"Today I guess." Mira answered.
"Fine then, can you please give me some food Mira? I'm starving!"
"Yeah sure, coming right up!"
Gray look at his surroundings. Everyone in the guild continue doing their business after done talking about Gray and Lucy. Cana challenging Evergreen to drink, Elfman scolding Jet and Droy about something manly and Gajeel started to think about her new love lyric for petite blue haired girl. Gray smiled looking at them.
'Nothing better than this place huh? It will be perfect with that ash brain, Happy, Lucy and Erza. Am I starting to miss them?' Gray thought without notice his pants are missing leaving his underwear alone, waiting to be thrown away.
No one knows that something big will challenge their faith and inner mind. Can they fight or lose themselves? Ready or not, the disasters are nearing.
