********The Watchtower*********

"Bruce, is there absolutely nothing you can do?" Superman asked. "Can't you even test to see if you can track him?"

"I don't wanna risk hurting Flash anymore than is necessary." Batman replied.

"But if he can't actually know we're tracing him then we can save Flash from all the pain, anyway."

"I can hear you, you know," came Flash's weak voice from the monitor above them and their comm. devices.

The Joker was currently fixing a metal shackle like thing around Flash's wrist, and it had a black wire that led to a large reel of the cord behind Flash and it had a handle on the side that enabled it to be turned.

"What do you think then, Flash?" Superman asked. "We won't do anything without your say-so."

"I reckon you should give it a shot, Batsy," he whispered, partly so the Joker wouldn't hear, and partly because the knife still in his gut caused him massive pain.

Batman quickly set back to work, trying to find the source of the video. Suddenly, an alarm broke out in the room the Flash was in, and the Joker looked up in surprise and laughed.

"What did I tell you?" Joker stopped with Flash's wrist and turned around to a table. He pulled off another dagger, not unlike the last one, but this had a button on its hilt.

"Well, you didn't even give me a chance to start the fun, so I'll just let you off with a warning." He pressed the button, and out of the sides of the knife, two smaller points came out, giving it the look of a cross.

He pressed the button again, and the points slid back into the blade. Again, the Joker aimed the dagger over Flash's abdomen about an inch to the right of the first knife and plunged it down, so far they heard it hit the table through the Flash.

Flash gasped and Batman saw him hold his breath again. Joker then stabbed his thumb onto the button and Flash screamed, desperately trying to stifle the sound. He shut his eyes when the Joker pressed the button again. Joker, still laughing so much his eyes watered, twisted the knife inside Flash. Flash sucked in his breath and held it again, when the Joker pressed the button for the third time.

Joker yanked out the knife and plunged it back in again, in nearly the same spot, Flash still holding his breath. Joker randomly pressed the button again and again, so it was impossible to tell if the blades were in or out.

"Flash, breathe, now." Batman commanded. "Keep on breathing." Flash slowly let out the air he was holding, and sucked in another load.

"Well, Bats," he croaked. "Seems he wasn't bluffing." He said, opening his eyes feebly.

"Don't worry; we'll get you out somehow, Flash." Superman attempted to reassure the hero.

"Oh, I'm not worrying, I'm fine and dandy laying here with a psycho for company." He said sarcastically.

"We're keeping you company, too, Flash." Hawkgirl told him.

"Who is 'we'? Are all of you there?" he asked.

"Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, GL and me. J'onn is on a mission." She replied. "Why?"

"Just wondering..." he said, trailing off. The Joker had continued to nail the shackle like thing around his wrist and had just finished. Joker then twisted Flash's arm around so his elbow was pointing away from his body and he tightened the cuff thing around his bicep so he was unable to turn it back.

The large metal spool at the back with the wire on evidently was movable, and Joker set it slightly to the right of Flash's head. He then nailed that to the floor.

Batman had an idea of what the Joker was going to do and mentally cringed. This was gonna hurt.

"What's he doing, you guys? I can't see anything but the ceiling!" Flash asked impatiently.

"I don't think you'd want to know, Flash," said Superman. Evidently, he had guessed what was going to happen, too.

"Yes, I do." Flash frowned. Before he could receive a reply, however, the Joker had clapped and squealed with delight.

"Oh, I am going to enjoy this!" he cried madly. He made his way to the handle on the spool and rubbed his hands together before slowly beginning to turn it.

Hawkgirl, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman all paled as they realised the Joker's intentions.

Flash's arm was pulled outwards, and he, too, paled as he realised it, as well.

"Flash."

"Yeah, Bats?"

"I want you to remember; keep breathing, no matter what. Scream if you must, but keep breathing." He said firmly. "Got it?"

"Yes, I got it, Bats," Flash said, slightly annoyed. Then the pain started. Dull, at first, then it got more and more.

Superman cringed as he witnessed Flash's arm bent back unnaturally. He could not even begin to imagine how painful it would be, and it was only pointing about 45⁰ away from his body so far.

Batman saw blood running down Flash's chin, and he saw Flash had bitten his lip hard enough to draw the blood. Despite his warning, Flash had held his breath again.

"Flash, breathe!" Flash attempted to breathe but it came out in massive gasps, with too much time between each.

Now his arm was at the 70⁰ angle and Flash screamed a long, agonised scream.

Sweat poured down his face and he had his teeth gritted as the cracking of his bones filled his ears. His arm finally reached 90⁰ angle, and there was one last massive crack, and Joker stopped, leaving Flash panting and gasping for air.

Joker grabbed a cuff and nailed Flash's wrist down to the table with it, in the badly broken position. He then removed the machine from Flash's arm and attached it to his other arm.

He repeated the process on that arm, with quieter screams because Flash both had barely any energy left to scream, and he'd known what was coming.

Joker did the same thing again, but on both of his legs. Flash was left a mangled mess, all his injuries unhealable unless the knives were removed or his bones set right again.

Joker had one last trick up his sleeve. Literally. He pulled out a syringe from his purple jacket's sleeve and jabbed it into Flash's chest.

"This little darling, I'm very proud of. I had to pull a lot of strings to get this, if you know what I mean!" He cackled. "This will slow down your metabolism, Flashie, to even slower than a normal human's, and it will keep you conscious, feeling and in pain!" he could barely control his insane laughter. "Not even the strongest sedative could sedate you! And, the best part: It works for twenty four hours and I've worked out that your limbs will stay like they are now if they're not fixed in..." He looked at his watch. "Six hours. If only I could be there to see it! Oh, well. Anyway, we're in the fifty-second warehouse on Gotham harbour. Bye for now, kiddies!"

With that, he ran out of the door, leaving Flash laying on his own and the Justice Leaguers to get him.

But, Joker came back once he knew the Justice League were gone to search for Flash. He carried with him some pieces of thin rope, which he tied around the knives in Flash's abdomen and attached to the door handle. He pulled out Flash's comm. link before leaving properly.

SORRY FOR THE WAIT AND BAD ENDING!

I was suuuuuuuuuper busy like for ages and I know it's been like almost a year since I updated and busy-ness (is business the same as a lot of busy?) is no excuse when I had updated other Fanfictions, but, being totally honest, I kinda went off DC a little bit because I got into loads and loads of other fandoms, and most of them were like connected to other fandoms I already had (like same actors or something like that) but like nothing had anything in common with DC and I was just ughh could not be bothered to write but I finally wrote this, so not proud of it like at all but the next chapter will probably be like the last chapter and I'll make it a good 'un, and longer than the rest.
