Yo! Sorry this is so late; I've been so tied up with school and stuff.

I sat next to Magnus at the airport, waiting for my plane. It turned out that Magnus, Jace and Alec were on my plane, since Jace lives with Alec and Magnus was visiting Alec's family before he and Alec went back to New York to go to Magnus'. It was all nice and dandy at the waiting point, and they even exchanged their first class tickets for economy tickets. (I don't even think you can normally do that, but they bribed the guy at the ticket stand).
When it came time to board the plane, Magnus was gripping Alec's hand pretty tight.
"You okay, Maggie?" Alec whispered.
"Just… scared of flying," he said. "There's so much space between us and the ground. We're putting our lives in one, maybe two guys' hands. I hate flying."
"It's fun," I said. "Just imagine you're on the back of a big bird that is going to take you home."
"I hate birds," Magnus said, his voice a perfect monotone.
"Mr. Buzz-kill."
When we got on the plane, I sat next to the window, Jace sat next to me, and Alec and Magnus sat together in the seats in front of us. It was just like the bus ride to school that first day, Magnus sat in front of me next to the window, and Alec sat in front of Jace in the aisle seat. Except Magnus didn't turn around to talk to me for a while, since he was waiting for the plain to become horizontal instead of diagonal.
"Magnus, you'll be fine," Alec said soothingly, stroking a hand through Magnus' ebony locks. He hadn't put his hair up this morning, seeing as we were just going to be on a plane.
"The flight isn't even that long," Jace said. "Just a little under forty minutes."
"Seems like a waste of a flight for a distance we could drive in less than three hours," Magnus mumbled.
We went over a bump of turbulence.
"Oooooh, God," Magnus moaned quietly. "Mankind was not meant to fly, if we were, we would have been born with wings."
Alec slipped his arm around Magnus, softly rocking him back and forth. "It's okay," he said. "It's okay to be scared, but nothing is going to hurt you."
I smiled and leaned against the wall, looking out the window at the clouds.
There was a man in the seat next to Alec across the aisle, and he didn't seem all too pleased with Magnus and Alec being all touchy feely.
"Excuse me," he said, trying to sound pleasant. "But there are children on this plane."
"And?" Jace asked him, causing the man to turn around in his seat.
"Well, we don't want them to see this, now do we?" he asked.
"See what?" I asked, sitting up in my seat. "The stewardess getting fingered up there?"
He turned to see what I was talking about, then, seeing nothing, turned back with a scowl. "I don't want my kids to be exposed to this sort of unnaturalness." He gestured at Alec and Magnus.
"Unnatural?" Magnus asked. "To quote Russell Howard, "You're flying"."
"I do not want my children to bear witness to this sort of disgusting behaviour; I will call the stewardess and get you removed!" He was angry now, two red spots forming on his cheeks.
"Oh, please, it's not like we're in skin tight leather suits with feather boas," Magnus said, sitting up straighter. "I'm sorry if my love for him offends you."
"That's enough, Magnus," Alec said. "Listen, I am sorry if you don't like our life style, but you have no right to ask us to stop. That'd be like me asking you to stop holding your wife because she was air sick. You're comforting her, and there is nothing wrong with that. You didn't even know we were gay until Magnus said it, you just didn't like that I had my arm around him. He could have been my cousin for all you care, and you still would have said that because you wanted to protect your masculinity." Alec shook his head. "No, I will not stop holding my boyfriend, because he doesn't like flying and he deserves the same amount of comfort as your wife would if she were scared."
There was a silence as the on lookers digesting what Alec had said. I didn't notice when he was talking, but a large group of people had stopped what they were doing to listen to Alec. One old man raised his hand and clapped, followed by another few people. Alec blushed and ducked his head, while the other man scowled and went back to his book.
"Asshole," the old man said, and turned to Alec. "I wouldn't have been as brave as you if that happened to me, so don't hold your head down. Stand up for your man the way I wasn't able to stand up for mine."
Alec nodded, and Magnus smiled shyly.
Jace rested his head on my shoulder and sighed. "If you were a guy, and I really was gay, I would've said the same thing."
I laughed quietly and said, "I know, Jace. I know."
