This chapter will follow only bits of the movie, I had to modify it to fit the OCs. Warning OC death!The trolls' names have been changed. Bert is now Ian. Bill is now Mason. Tom is now Parker. A new OC will be added. Here is a little info on the new OC, her name is Macy. She is one of Rose's best friends. She is also BFF's with Ashley. She is a friend and younger cousin to Sami. She has long blonde hair that falls into ringlets and the tips of her hair is purple (that is a story for another time.) She is a little taller than Sami and has no weapons yet. She is extremely over fond of Justin Beaver *gets hit on the head by Macy* sorry (not really) Bieber. No flames unless they are directed towards Bieber, the dragon fire later in this fanfic will be hot enough for me thank you. Now on with the story! ~
(Sami's Pov)
By where Thorin had us stop for the night there was a collapsed building that looked like it had been torn apart.
"We will camp here for the night. Fili, Kili. Take care of the ponies make sure you stay with them. Oin, Gloin, get a fire going." Thorin said before dismounting and continuing to dish out orders. Rose and I went over to what remained of the ruined structure.
"Should we tell them that there are three hungry trolls nearby?" I ask Rose in a low tone so no one will over hear us.
"No. Instead will try to help Gandalf persuade Thorin into going to Rivendell." She answered swiftly then walked over to where said people where arguing.
"I think it would be wiser to move on. We could make for the hidden valley."
"I told you already I will not go near that place."
"Why not? The elves could help us. We could get food, rest, advice."
"I do not need their advice. Lady Rose and her friend Lady Samantha seem to hold just as much advice as the elves."
"We still need to go to Rivendell though. I am certain that the map has moon runes on it. I could read them yes but I would need to be able to see them first. Lord Elrond would know how. He could help us." Rose said
"Help? A dragon attacks Erebor. What help came from the elves? Orcs plunder Moria, desecrate our sacred halls. The elves looked on and did nothing. You ask me to seek out the very people to betrayed my grandfather. Betrayed my father."
"You are neither of them. I did not give you that map and key for you to hold on to the past."
"I did not know that they were yours to keep."
"Thorin, Gandalf is right you are neither Thror nor Thrain. You are your own dwarf. The Elrond tried to come to your aid but by the time he got there your people had left. Same with Moria." I stated back up the old wizard's logic
"Yes I am my own dwarf. Therefore I can chose to hate elves as I wish!"
At that Gandalf stormed away towards the trees. As he passed by Bilbo and Balin, Bilbo asked, "Is everything alright? Gandalf where are you going?"
"To seek the company of the only one around here, besides Rose and Samantha, who has any sense."
"Who is that?" Bilbo asked slightly offended
"Myself, Master Baggins! I have had enough of dwarves for one day." Gandalf shouted over his shoulder
"Come on Bombur. We're hungry." Thorin yelled to the fat dwarf who was helping Bofur get supper ready while the other company members either went about their own business or did as they were ordered to do. Bilbo, who was still standing by Balin asked the silver bearded dwarf, "Is he coming back?" Balin just sighed and gave the hobbit a doubting look. I knew the wizard would return and just shook my head at Balin's lack of faith.
~time skip~
"So my lady, that is why I prefer to use black ink over the traditional red ink." Ori timidly told a very bored looking Ashley. I would have gone over and rescued her from such meaningless chatter a while ago, but Bombur called for supper and I was really close to the food. It was her own fault that she had chosen to sit over by the normally shy young scribe. Bofur had sent Bilbo and Ted to bring some food to Fili and Kili a while ago. The log I was sitting on alone was tipped like one of the see-saws on the children's place grounds. Dwalin sat on the other side of the log which in turn forced my end up off the ground. I get off the chair and go over to where Ashley is still being bored to death by Ori. Rose is sitting nearby sharpening her weapons. "Ori, I don't believe that Ashley here knows very much about ink. Maybe you should tell her what you know about some of the music you know. She loves music." As I walk away I can feel Ashley's death glare, it has never been very impressive. It still isn't. On a scale from 1 to 10, Ash's is about a 3. Where Thorin's and Dwalin's are 9s. Rose's is a 10. Mine is about a 7 and rest of the dwarves range from 2 (Ori) to an 8 (Gloin, Fili, Kili). Ted's rates as a -10 (it is so wimpy that it is almost non-existent.)
"Thorin! There are three troll that are stealing the ponies!" Fili yelled running out of the
"Where are Kili and the hobbit!?" Thorin questioned
"He is trying to steal the ponies back, Kili is watching to make sure he doesn't get hurt." Fili yelled while grabbing a few more weapons out of his pack.
"Rose you and your companions will stay behind to guard the camp." Thorin said turning towards Rose.
'Stay behind and guard the camp.' what a bunch of bull. "Thorin that is crap and you know it. Both Rose and I have proven that we can fend for ourselves. I know you feel the need to keep us out of possible danger, but DON'T! We don't need to be kept secret like dwarf women."
"You will stay here and that is my last word on it." Thorin said before running into the tree with the rest of the dwarves.
I turn to Rose "We are going to follow them right? What's the plan? I refuse to sit here like one of those helpless barbies from back home. Ashley and Ted can stay here."
"We go and hide in the bushes and wait until the dwarves are captured then we will start cutting them loose one by one, before attacking the trolls. Ashley you stay here we need to make sure that you will be able to help Oin if anyone gets hurt. Ted-"
Ted is gone and so is my spare axe. If he survives the trolls I am going to kill him. No one touches much less steals my axes!
"Rose that rat has MY axe! I am going after him and those dwarves. We will have to make up the plan as we go along cause plan A just got scraped."
"Alright let's go."
(Ted's Pov)
'I hope Sam doesn't kill me for stealing her axe. This is not one of my best ideas, but the girls were just standing there talking. I hope I don't get everyone killed.' I keep running towards a reddish yellow light and weird sounding voices. I come to the edge of a clearing but stay hidden in the trees. There are three huge ugly talking gargoyle like creatures without wings holding a person who is a friend to the girls and is from my past.
"Put me down you ugly stinking anti-belieber! I am THE number one belieber! Justin won't stand for me being treated this way!" god have mercy on my poor soul! Macy is a person from my past and the crazy friend/sister of Rose and Ashley. If Macy got here I wonder if more of Rose's friends did.
"Oh shut up already! Mason put the crazy thing with the rest of the food."
(No one's Pov)
As Ted was sneaking towards where Macy had been thrown towards the dwarves, he tripped and fell. Parker heard and looked over to see the boy trying to get up without making more noise. Macy also saw the Ted, but decided against yelling out and attracting more attention to him. Instead she yelled at the trolls. "Hey you! I'm a banana! I'm a banana!"
At this point everyone in the clearing was giving the girl the trolls had captured weird looks. The purple tips to her hair had cause weird looks in the beginning but now the trolls and dwarves thought she was downright insane. Still hidden in the trees, Rose and Sam looked at each other. They knew Macy's voice and how out of hand she could get at times. When Macy had yelled out that she was a banana they just shook their heads. It brought the trolls' full attention to Macy. "Lass did you hit your head when the troll threw you over there?" Bofur asked from where he was tied to the cooking spit.
"Trolls? Is that what those heaping piles of cat shit are? I thought that they were ugly mountains that had been shunned by the world." Rose held back a chuckle and Sami had an amused look on her face from her younger cousin's remark. The trolls however were not so pleased, Parker picked Macy up and held her over his gaping mouth.
"Oh dear lord what have you been eating? Your breath is worse than the smell of a deer that has been left to rot for 6 months!" that yearned the girl with the purple tipped blonde hair more looks.
"Oy that's not very nice! Ian make the crazy thing sorry." Parker whined. Ian took Macy from the younger troll and held her by the feet a little ways up from the fire. Rose and Sami once again looked at each other and Rose mouthed "On my mark." Sam nodded. Just as the two girls were about to lung forward into the clearing Ted came up from behind the trolls and shot at Mason. It took about three crossbow bolts near the ear before the trolls noticed it wasn't a pesky bird. Mason kicked the boy hard and he slammed into a tree, breaking several ribs. Crying out in pain he charged the trolls only to be picked up by Ian and swallowed whole.
"Hey! You better spit him back up!" Bilbo yelled at the trolls. He noticed as Sam and Rose sneaked up from behind the trolls and on what seemed to be a three count attacked the trolls. Sam swung her axe in to Ian's leg at the same time Rose embedded one of her swords deep into the troll's other leg. The troll let out an ear splitting roar and swung his leg trying to dislodge the sword. Causing part of the sword to break off in the troll's leg and sending Rose flying into the fire-pit. Sam seeing where her friend was thrown hacks at the troll's wounded leg with a vengeance. Seeing that this is doing no good Sam runs towards Mason and jumps up, using the force of the kick the troll aim at her, to propel herself high enough to slash the troll across the eyes effectively blinding the troll. Before she is on the ground she is grabbed by Parker. A fireball the size of a bowling ball is propelled from the fire pit and hits Parker on the wrist of the arm that is holding Sam. The troll drops the girl and clutches his burnt limb. Rose walks out of the fire with lighting flashing in her eyes and through her hair. Fire and Earth surround her, the trolls cower in fear while the dwarves, hobbit and Sam are stunned speechless.
"FIRST YOU CAPTURE THE DWARVES AND ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS! THEN YOU BREAK MY COUSIN'S RIBS AND EAT HIM! FINALLY YOU KICK ME INTO A FIRE AND GRAP ANOTHER OF MY BEST FRIENDS! YOU HAVE PISSED ME OFF AND NOW YOU ARE GOING TO PAY!" With that Rose sends a stream of fire straight at Ian screaming "THAT WAS FOR TED. BURN YOU SHIT OF THE EARTH BURN! LET THIS BE A LESSON TO ALL, TO NEVER PISS ME OFF IF THEY VALUE THEIR LIVES!" ending the fire Rose takes a few steps back and collapses close to where Thorin still tied up is. The fire, lighting, and earth that was surrounding her disappear. Gandalf appears on top of a large rock and strikes it saying "The dawn will take you all!" the sunlight hits the trolls and all three turn to stone.
